Story Unfolds :
From the point of view of Karna:
3 yrs had passed out of blue. He did not meet her. His Devi. He was eager to meet her. To bring her back. To get any news of her. But she did not write any letter to him. She remained once more silent. This time he was angry on her!! What was his fault?!! He was not a bit interested in her!! He was so engrossed in his life!! With his wife Padma!! Son Vrish!!! His family!! She came and silently won his heart!! Now he could not believe how he was aloof of her at first!! He could not think of a single day without her!! And what she was doing!! Ignoring him!! Once again Deliberately!!
He had twisted his face in rage. While watching the Sun set. He was away of his home. His state. For three long years. He was wining the southern part of India. For the sake of his best friend or Param Mitra Duryodhan. Yet he felt restless inside. He was missing her so much!!! Her divine smile!! Her gentle touch!! Her cute dimple!! Her big black eyes!! Her pressing the lips together to suppress a smile!! Her looking at him from far!! Her turning the pretty head bashfully to avoid eye contact with him!! Her not asking anything for herself!! Her running behind his chariot!! He was so much in love with her!! Yet he could not believe that she was away from him!! How was she now?!! What was she doing?!! Was she alright?!! Was she taking food and resting well?!! His life had been centering Her thoughts!!! But she was not thinking of him a bit!!! Then all of a sudden he tilted his head bashfully to the left. It was his signature style to hide his frustration or nervousness!! "Why you fool?!! Why you are just now behaving like a teenager in the love?!! For the first time?!!" His brain was scolding his heart. But that darn fool heart could not stop bearing fast just thinking of his Devi!!! His tears never stopped whenever he recalled her. In his mind.
Picture of Supriya in Karna's heart
He made a frustrated face. On himself. He wanted to control the fluttering of his heart. But it was not listening to him!! It always thought about Supriya all day. At awakening. In dreams. In battlefield too. God!! What to do?!!
He had to make an effort to convince Padma. Not to leave him. Alone. She understood yet something was truly amiss. In between them. In heart that selfless woman was blaming herself to separate them!!!
He made another face. Even Padma was so convinced about her Supriya's innocence!!! She had dotted upon her baby sister Supriya very much!!! In so much extent that she went against her husband Karna!!! She knew about the whereabouts of Supriya yet she was hiding it from him!!! He could sense that too. But he was never vocal!! He could confront her!! But he did not want to do that!! If his Devi did not want to meet him then be it!! In this way!! Would she care if something bad happened to him?!! Would she cry?!! Would she ran to him?!! Would she embrace him?!! For the last time!! God knew that!! Alas!! He did not have the knowledge that at the war of Mahabharata it was his Devi who ran to him!!! It was she whose breathing had stopped by seeing his dead body!! It was she who ignored every single obstacle to reach to him!! It was she who fainted at his feet!! It was she who got silent by seeing him lying on the pool of blood!!! It was she who went Sati on his pyre!!! Along with him!! Not his Sakhi Padma!!! Not his beloved Uruvi!!! Supriya was the most neglected Karna Sangini yet she had done what others could not be able to do!!! She went with him!!!
Karna (male protagonist)
"Shriman Senapatiji"
With a jolt he turned around and saw his second commander of general Mrityunjay was bowing to him. In respect.
Senapati Mrityunjay (Commander in chief of Hastinapur)
He arched his left eyebrow slightly in question mode. In silence.
"Ek kanya hame Pukeya rajya ke sima langhne se rok rahi hain. Uski Kathan anusar hame Maharajah Basav ke anumati ki abasykta hain. (One girl is stopping us to enter the border of Pukeya. According to her we should need the permission of Pukeya King. To do that.)" His junior answered in calm tone.
"Hmm" Karna seemed dubious. In his mind he knew that the stranger girl was right!! Before trespassing into anyone's territory you needed his permission!!!
Suddenly a guard came and with a curt bow had given a letter to him. Karna brewed his eyebrows together but took the letter. He opened it to read. Then his eyes wided in shock. He instructed the guard to fetch his horse!!! He had to go back!!! To Anga!! At once!! Padma needed him!!!
"Khasma kijiye parantu (I beg your pardon but)" Mrityunjay tried to say something but Karna signaled him to stop. He obliged.
"Kuch mat karna. (Don't do anything. By yourself.)" Then he had produced a small white parchment paper to him and said "Yeah Patra Pukeya Naresh ko bhej ke unki anumati ki pratiksha karna. Ham do din main laut ayenge. Tab tak kuch mat karna. (Send this letter to the King of Pukeya. And wait for his answer. I will return back in just two days. Wait for me.)" Then he drove his horse to the eastern horizon to his state. Anga.
He knew that he had to return back to his army. As soon as possible. Now his army was busy in making their tents. On the border of a small state named Pukeya. Their horse of Aswamedha was residing there too. But he had to leave for Anga. Padma was serious!! He could not leave her alone!!! In this state!!!
Alas!! He lost the opportunity to meet with that stranger 16 yrs old girl who condemned his second commander to enter into the state of Pukeya that day. Unless Karna-Uruvi story would start on that day. As she was none but the beautiful Princess of Pukeya, Devi Basavi Uruvi herself who along with her female force stopped his army at the battlefield!!!
Devi Uruvi (3rd Wife of Karna)
................................
From the point of view of Supriya:
In this meantime Karna's Devi aka Supriya was busy in rearing Sushen and Prasen. The latter one was very naughty while the first one was calm and composed. Unlike other boys of his age.
"Baan ko aise pakdte hain. Kandhe baan ki saman sidha hona chahiye. (Take the arrow in this way. Your own shoulder and hand will be in the same level to it.)" She was teaching how to throw the arrows to her loyal and ever obedient Sushen.
Sushen nodded his head slowly. He understood that. Then she sat beside him and nested her head in his tiny shoulders. Then she aimed at the target and pulled the string.
The arrow had toppled up on the air for several times and struck exactly to the aim.
"Maiya.. Maiya..." Toddler Prasen was jumping up and down in joy. To see her hitring the target. In his very own eyes!! This boy loved to encourage his mother!!! For anything!!
Sushen (6th Son of Supriya)
Sushen looked pleased too. He put his fists together and clapped for her. She looked at both of their happy faces. Happy occasions were very rare in her life!!!
All of a sudden her mother-in-law ran to her. With a letter in her hands. She looked quite worried.
Radhama (Karna's mother)
"Kya huwa (what had happened), Maiya?!!" Supriya asked her. In worry.
"Hame Anga jana hoga. Abhi. (We have to depart for Anga state now.)" She answered while controlling her tears. She did not want to tell the bad news to this Bawri!!!
Supriya nodded her pretty head in agreement. She did not understand the reason behind yet she realized that something was truly amiss!!! Unless her both in-laws would not ran there!!! They were hiding something from her!!
Within three hours they all prepared and embarked on the journey to Anga where Supriya would once more meet with her deity. Her husband Karna who was also coming back.
...........................
At the roads to Anga:
Boys were never silent. Their queries were endless. They asked so many questions. Why we did not leave there if it was our own home?!! Don't our father love us anymore?!! Etc etc.
Supriya had noting to say. She did not know what to say to convince them. Sushen was an intelligent boy. He had tremendous intelligence and razor sharp intellect. He could sense almost everything. So she had to keep the truth under cover!! She could not tell him that she left her husband Karna!!! Unless he would ask so many more questions!!!
The boy looked quite gloomy for no reason. He understood everything. He knew that his foster father did not even know about their existence!! He learned it from his mother Supriya and his grandma Radhama's last night conversations. But he kept it inside his heart!!! He did not want to offend his mother a bit!! To this boy his mom was his Goddess!!!
Prasen, the toddler, on the contrary, was very cheerful one. He peeped onto the picture perfect scenario of the roadside. By nodding his head as an intelligent teenager. He seldom hugged his grandfather Baba Adirath (who was driving the chariot) from behind. In his tiny limbs. While asking him meaningless questions. Like why grass is green? Why sky is red at dawn and blue at other times of the day? He was happy. He was going to meet with Karna, his father, for the first time. He did not know that Karna was not his real father, just foster father. Supriya did not tell him that. Only to his elder brother Sushen.
Radhama put a hand on Supriya's head and consoled her "Chinta mat kar. Sab Madhava ke ichha. (Don't you think too much. Leave everything on our God.)"
Supriya smiled at her lifelessly. She was not a bit convinced.
...........................
At the main entrance gate of Anga:
After a tiring journey they all had entered into the state. People were nodding their heads in recognition. Some even bowed to them. They had bowed to all too.
Now the small chariot was standing in the front porch of the Anga Palace. All were looking at it expectantly.
Mahamantri Shounak came to greet them all. He folded his hands to all. To Baba Adirath, Radhama and Supriya.
Prime Minister Shounak
"Maiya, kitna bada hain na?!! (Mom look. How very big this palace is?!!)" Prasen ran out of the chariot and jumped in joy. Then hopped onto the royal garden.
Prasen (7th Son of Supriya)
All laughed on this boy's neivity. Then Prime Minister welcomed them all. Cordially.
"Kya huwa?!! (What had happened here?!!)" Supriya asked him. In deep shock. She did not understand the reason of their sudden arrival.
Shounak had nodded his head quite dismissively and sighed hard while uttering this slowly "Maharani ne apne ajanma shishu ko kho diya. Unke pran bhi sankat main hain. Woh apne Su se milna chahti hain. Vaidya Raj ne apko isi karan bas bulake bheja tha!! (Queen had lost her unborn child. In her womb again. Her life is in danger too. She is calling for her baby sister Supriya only. So the royal doctor had suggested that you should meet her. At once.)" He stopped talking while sighing hard again.
Supriya opened her eyes wide in deep horror. So that was the reason why her in-laws refused to tell her the cause of this sudden arrival?!! So that was the reason why they were in some hurry?!!! Then something had clicked on her brain. Her Jiji was not well!!!!! She wanted to meet with only her!!! She had to go!!!
Like a deer she ran out of the room. To the bedroom chamber of her dear elder sister. Without asking anything from anyone!!!! She did not need a direction to that room!!! She recalled it quite well!!! Even 9 yrs later!!!
She collided with many persons and begged their mercy. But she neither did stop anywhere nor decreased Her speed. She had to reach to her Jiji as fast as possible. This girl did not know that someone else was driving his own horse and fast as possible too. To reach to her!! To reach his dear Sakhi Padma too!!
