In the realm of knowledge, with laziness in play,
Procrastination, my plans in disarray.
The test approaches, anxiety's on the rise,
But I persist in idleness, to my own surprise.
I promise to myself, "Tomorrow, I'll begin,"
But tomorrow becomes today, and it's hard to win.
An inner monologue of excuses I create,
While time slips away, and knowledge slips through the gate.
With the clock ticking, I finally take a stand,
Open up my books and notes, though it's not what I had planned.
One hour is all I have, too late to turn away,
But even so, I'll give it a shot, try to learn today.
Pages turn and knowledge flows, a lot to comprehend,
A weary mind, struggling to ascend.
Time slips away, but I try to persist,
Hoping for a miracle, to assist.
Come test time, I regret my negligence,
Knowing that laziness hindered my competence.
But the lesson is clear, as bright as day,
Procrastination only delays wisdom's array.
So I promise to myself, I'll change my way,
Not let laziness lead me astray.
Constant study, knowledge I'll embrace,
For learning is the key to success's grace.
