"Your mother taking forever." He sucked his teeth as he carried her. They were standing in front of his car that was parked in front of her building.
"She always takes long." She sighed, patting his chest signaling she wanted to get put down.
"You tired? That's what you get for not wanting to take your nap."
When he sat her back on the ground, his eyes met with Ariana who had a flowy white dress on. He liked how the dress was simple but she made it look so good. She naturally had seductive eyes so she would look at him and he would get turned on,
especially right now.
"Wassup?" He said to her. She chuckled seeing the way he was staring at her. She knew she looked great and this was something she tended to do often. Dress up and go out to eat even if it was by herself, she loved looking pretty.
"Hi." She smiled at him, shyly.
"Damn Mora your mother always this pretty?" He said looking back at his daughter who was now in the car.
"Stop it." She cheesed as he opened the door for her to get into the car. Kevin started to feel excitement and anxious all the same time, he was getting nervous and this wasn't even a date.
Kevin's cologne was the main scent in the car which both of the girls got used to. She looked over at him, loving how neat his braids were and how well kept together he looked. His chains sat on his neck, glistening in the night light.
"You got reservations right?"
"Yeah." He hummed, looking at her quickly before looking back at the road. "I told you I gotchu."
The drive downtown was pretty smooth. The two made small talk as Kimora remained staring at the windows fascinated by the tall buildings everytime she went downtown. They shortly arrived at the restaurant and Ari couldn't help but feel like they looked like a couple of some short. The way Kevin held Kimora's hand and had his hand on her hip as they walked in.
"Reservation for Kevin Perez."
The man nodded his head, checking his tablet. He walked the three of them to their table. The small family of three spent a few minutes looking at the menu before ordering. Ariana felt the quick glances Kevin kept giving her every now and then.
"You look so pretty." Kimora said.
"Thank you, so do you. You dressed her up?" She said looking up at her ex.
"Nah that was my mom. You know I would've had her in a sweatsuit or some shit:"
At the moment he kind of wished he could've convinced his mom to watch Kimora tonight so it could just be Ariana. He really didn't know why he been feeling her these past few days. He knew he couldn't just fuck her and dip because she was his child's mom and it would just be fucked up to do that to her. Plus it was a little bit more then that for him, he kept thinking about the good memories they shared when they were together previously and couldn't help but think whether that was still a chance of that happening again.
"Kay? You listening to me?" Her voice knocked him back in reality.
"My fault. What were you saying?"
"I was asking you how's music coming along?"
"Yeah it's valid. About to drop soon." He said cutting a piece of his lamb chops and holding it up to her mouth, although he knew he hadn't been to the studio in a while.
She leaned in, taking a bite of the steak and smirked at him. "This is actually good. I always get lobster fra diavolo when I'm here."
"Not gon lie I don't know what the fuck that is. As long as you happy though mama."
She smiled hearing his small nicknames. She liked the small friendship they were slowly building.
He watched her slurp up her pasta. When he was around her, anything she did made him horny. He felt like she was teasing him but he remember third child was sitting next to them.
"It's good?" He said wiping the corner of her lip with his thumb, then licking it.
"Yeah you wanna try?"
"Nah I'm good. Yo I got a question for you?"
"What?"
"You never thought about having more kids?"
"No I'm one and done. You?" She quickly said.
"I want a son." He said which made her put her fork down.
"Well have fun with that." She said picking up one of Kimora's fries.
He let out a deep chuckle. "What?"
"Kids are no joke." She said. She was personally done with kids. She was shocked to hear he wanted another one. She knew it wouldn't be with her so she didn't let it bother me. i'm
"So? I think I can handle a crying baby."
"It's not that it's just kids are a big commitment. And you get attached quick, look at you and Kimora."
He smacked his lips and looked at Kimora. "You want a brother?"
She shook her head no, slowly, and looked back at her tablet which made Ariana laugh. "Yeah you going to break her heart with a son."
"Chill."
"But really though having kids is just so much money too. Pamper prices skyrocketing."
"Money not an issue. You know that. She can get the world right now if she wanted to."
"Speaking of money you put all that money in my purse the other day?"
"Yeah. I knew you'd try some funny shit like give it back to me but I don't want it. Treat yourself."
"How about I use that money to pay for tonight?"
"Just shut up." He sucked his teeth. "Yo princess why you not talking?"
"I'm watching the new episode of Hello Kitty and friends." She said keeping her eyes glued to the screen.
"My fault."
Usually Ari would tell her to get off her tablet when they were spending time together but she didn't mind at the moment.
The two of them found themselves talking the whole time, there wasn't any breaks of sickness because they were constantly bringing up stuff to talk about. The thought about her and him being friends again surprised him because he never thought they'd be back in each other lives. He found himself smiling more with her than he did with his actual girlfriend. The flirty comments he made at her, she has learned to get used to them although they made her blush each time.
The restaurant started to get empty as it was getting late. They decided to it was time to go since the place was about to close.
"I'm about to go to the bathroom. I'll meet y'all outside." Kay said.
"Okay." They said in unison.
He gave them both a final look before walking off the bathroom. He quickly handled his business, washing his hands and stepping back out.
"I hope you enjoyed your dinner. Your wife and kid are so beautiful, you're blessed." A receptionist said.
"She not my wife yet but thank you." He gave her a small smile before handing her a fifty bill and returning to the girls.
"Let's go. It's getting late." He said eyeing Kimora who he'd know would be falling asleep any minute now.
He had his hand resting on her stomach, standing behind her and his other hand holding Kimora's hand as they walked out to the car. Ariana couldn't help but blush lowly at his hand placement.
Thera car ride back home was silent as Kimora slowly fell asleep and the both of them were slowly getting tired. He pulled up in front of her building, making them get out of the car in unison.
"You know I would usually walk you to your door, but I don't feel like carrying her up there and risk waking her up just to put her back in the car."
"It's fine. Thank you for the ride Kevin and for th-"
"Stop calling me Kevin." He cut her off, smacking his lips. "You looked good tonight."
"Kevin you have a girlfriend. Don't start your shit." She said as the her stuck out when she said his name.
"So? I can't tell you that you beautiful?"
"No you can't, but thank you for tonight. I had a good time."
"It was my pleasure." He slyly smiled. "Let me know when you wanna do some shit like this again."
"Whatever take care of my baby. Goodnight." She pulled in for a side hug, but this time Kevin didn't wanna go home with one. He placed his hands firmly on her waist, hugging her. He smirked hearing the low gasp coming from her mouth, he knew she felt the budge from his pants against her but she tried to ignore it as much as she could. He took in her Arabian rose perfume, that complimented his cologne scent that was mixed with weed.
She pulled away slowly, thankful she had a darker tone skin so he couldn't see her blushing. "Goodnight Kevin."
"Goodnight ma. Text me when you get up there." He said. She nodded and he watched her spin on her heels and walk into the building. The same dirty thoughts filled his head as he stared at her backside. He quickly swiped his face seeing she was no longer in his sight and shook his head, shocked at himself. He knew a fling with Ariana was the last thing he needed right now, but it just felt right to him.
