Story Unfolds :
At the Royal Court of Anga:
A sixteen years old and simple looking charming girl was standing tall. She had been summoned to attend the court. By the royal guards. A royal judgement had to be given. Against her. She did not know anything about it. But she knew that she had to be present there. A royal decree could not be nullified by a simple girl like her. She was the heroine of our story Devi Supriya herself.
Devi Supriya (2nd Karna Sangini)
She was looking at the face of every member assembled in the royal court. At the left side sitted Banasen and his wife Kalyani. At the right side Shone and his wife Sumedha. Below the Dias with grumpy face was sitting her dear mother-in-law Radhama. Shounak, the loyal Prime Minister, was standing at the right side of the Dias. Masses had gathered in large numbers to witness today's crucial hearing. Of Supriya. She was charged of making a conspiracy against the royal family.
When she entered into the court her heart skipped a beat. Just by looking at the rigid stony face of the King. He was seen emotionless to her. Yet she could not be able to control her own emotions for him!!! How could she?!! She was melting him in person!!! For the first time!!! After marriage!!! She was so overwhelmed, so happy, so overjoyed to see his face that she had almost forgotten that she was brought here under his order!!! Two guards had even accompanied her here. To the court. Directly.
Anga Raj Karna (Her husband)
He was sitting uptight holding both the arm rests in his both hands. His face was stony and emotionless. Yet his eyes were talking too much!! She felt his magnetic personality and majestic presence. But she failed to look at the eye bags and dark circles under his doe shaped eyes as a proof of his deprivation of sleep at night. He was not showing emotions yet his face was pale and dull. He was suffering severe headache. Since some days. He was neglecting his health. The mental trauma was huge enough for breaking any ordinary man. But Karna was not an ordinary man. It was a name of a journey. From simple and determined Radheya through the good natured youth Basusen to a young King with iron like mental strength and courage. Karna was not a title. Karna was a name of determination. Courage. His endless agony. Enormous fighting skill and capabilities. Lifelong sufferings yet achievements of glory. Karna was a mystery. He was an enigma. He was a simple man with God like qualities.
Any other man could flinch to stage a fake arrest of Supriya. He could not. He had to. He knew it was mandatory for his state. His family. His Padma. His masses. Most of all for Supriya.

1 Day Prior: At the same Court:
Three men were making planning to arrest Sulochana. She was a cunning girl whose evilness had no bound. All of them had no idea what she could be capable of. They wanted to catch her red handed. But how?!! That they did not know!!
"Ham pratyaksha rup se Sulochana ke birudh Deshdrohita aur Rajdroha ka arop la sakte hain. Bhabi Supriya ko iski bich main lane ki Kya abasyakta tha?!! (We can directly bring charges against Sulochana. To make fatal conspiracy. Against Royal family and state. Why to bring youmg Sister-in-law Supriya in between it?!!)" Shone asked grumpily. He did not realize his elder sibling's intention. A bit.
Shone (Brother-in-law of Supriya)
"Prayojan hain. Badna woh Sulochana apni agli chal main Kumar Vrishasen ko khshati poucha sakti hain. (It is necessary. Unless that evil girl can harm Vrishasen.)" Banasen replied.
Banasen (Brother of Padmavati)
He was a tremendously intelligent man. And clear conscience. He knew that his theory was right. He never faltered to declare his thought aloud. Just like his sister. Padmavati. For this reason within some time he became inevitable part of Karna's Royal Court.
"Par Bhabi Supriya pe lagi arop agar Kalinga tak pouch gaya to Bhagdatt to jit jayega. Kalinga Naresh toh yudhha ghoshna kar denge. Tab kya hoga?!! (But if any news of this kind of fake trial against sister-in-law Supriya gets leaked then it will destroy our age old reputation. Kalinga King will surely declare war against us. Then?!!)" Shone had raised a valid point.
All three of the men stopped talking. They were considering the possible solution. Of this threat. They could not alarm the Kalinga King. Yet they could not alert Sulochana, Bhagdatt or Bhanudatt. What to do?!!
Karna opened his mouth agape for the first time. "Mujhpe chor do. (Let me handle the situation.)" Then he added softly "Ham Sulochana ko bandi bana sakte the. Parantu usse bhayankar ek bipad ki shanka tha. Bhagdatt pehle se sabdhan ho jata. Aur hampe akraman kar deta. Is liye is chal ki abasyakta thi. (We can captivate Sulochana now. But it will alert Bhagdatt. He can then declare war on us. So we have to use this trick to him.)"
He got up from his throne and then in firm tone had ordered the guards to bring Supriya in the royal court. At 8'o clock. At tomorrow morning. And also Sulochana. To give her most valuable evidence against Supriya.

Again at the Royal Court of Anga: 1 Day after:
Supriya stood motionless. She did not know what was her fault. Why she was here?!! She looked at the faces. One by one. To search the answer. No one dared to face her. Shone lowered his head. Sumedha looked at her in painful eyes. Kalyani smiled small at her to assure in vain. Banasen looked pensive. Radhama tilted her head at one side to avoid eye contact with her. Minister Shounak emotionless. And Karna stony as usual. He had put on his mask. Once again. Only Sulochana looked happy. She thought her plan to be the Queen of Anga was being quite successful. That foolish evil girl did not know that it was trap to entrap her!!! Into the spiderweb of her own lies, betrayal and conspiracy!!! She was wrongly informed about the demise of Padmavati. By Vaidya Raj Sushen. She was now sanguine that by provoking Radhama against Supriya she would be able to punish that fool for the crime that she never did!! And then Radhama had promised her to make her own daughter!!! Alas!! She did not know that Radhama never had meant to make her as her would be daughter-in-law!!!
The hall was silent. Pin drop silence was ruling over the court. All were present. Yet all were petrified. The masses loved Supriya. Unlike these from the Palace. She roamed into the city by feet and tried to help the poor people. As she could do. She even gave her dinner to hungry beggars and had starved herself for the day. She had a reason too. She wanted them to bless her family. She even tried to assist Vaidya Sushen. To heal the people. So within 2 months masses of Anga got white attached to this girl. Yet they could not protest. Against their King. They loved him too. The news of the arrest of Supriya for the conspiracy of murder of Padmavati was a shock to all. So most people had attend the trial to watch everything in their very own eyes.
Supriya looked at everyone. And she bowed to everyone. Alone. Like her wedding day. All nodded their heads to acknowledge her. Except one. Her husband who was staring at her. It seemed a cold stare to her but she was wrong. If only she had the quality to read his eyes!!! He was feeling sorry for her too!! His corner of doe shaped eyes glowed with tears. He tilted his head to the left. To control himself. He knew it was necessary. To end the rule of terror. Of Sulochana.
Minister Shounak cleared his throat and pulled out a letter from his own pocket. Calmly.
All of a sudden a thunderstorm fell on the head of Sulochana. She identified it!!! It was her letter!!! To her master!! Bhagdatt!! The same yellowish white parchment paper!! God!!! How did they got it?!! She took every single bit of precaution to safe guarding it!!
"Maharajah, yeah ek patra ai hain. Koi Nari hamara rajya main se Saurashtra Naresh Bhagdatt ko sandesh bhej rahi thi ki ab Anga Rajya Saurashtra ki hi bashyata swikar karegi. Hame us Biswas ghatini ko dhundna hain!! (O my King, I got a letter where a girl as a spy of Saurashtra is assuring it's king that soon our Anga state will admit it's dominance. We have to discover the traitor too. Before this trial.)" He told it aloud.
"Praman hain?!! (Any evidence?!!)" Karna asked. Calmly.
Shounak nodded his head slowly and produced all the guards of ex-Mayor or kotowal Charusheel who sincerely admitted their guilt and blamed both Charusheel and Sulochana.
"Kotowal ji ki bhay se ham is jaghanya apradh main ansh liye the. Aur Devi Sulochana ki Bat man liye!! (Under the pressure of Mayor we have to do that conspiracy. We were bound to follow Devi Sulochana. Unless he had threaten to behead us.)" They replied in unison.
Bewildered Sulochana
Sulochana did not know that even she could be exposed so easily. Her eyes popped out of their respective eye sockets. She could not believe it!!! A bit!! These traitors!! She would see them dead!!! Let her be free!! She was expecting to accuse Supriya instead she herself was being accused for the treachery and conspiracy!!!
"Charusheel ko bulawo. (Produce that Charusheel.)" Shone ordered. As the Commander General.
Traitor Charusheel
Charusheel came and bowed to the King proudly. He looked indifferent. By the charges against himself!!!
"Apne Maharajah ki birudhh yeah sadayantra karne ki dusahas kyse Kiya?!! (How dare you to conspire against the royal family and King?!!)" Shounak asked him.
Prime Minister Shounak
He stood in silence. Then answered truthfully "Maine toh apni Patni ki sahayata karke kebal apni Pati dharm nibhaya!!! (I just perform my duty as a husband.)"
Pati dharma!!! The word rang in the eardrum of Karna repeatedly. A man with full knowledge of his treachery had followed his duty as a husband to help his wife even knowing that he could be executed for it!!! But what did he do himself!!! He could not be a good King to his state!!! He ignored it for the love of his wife!! He could not become a good husband!!! Neither to Vrushali nor to Supriya!!! His heart ached tremendously. He realized his mistake!!!
"Yeah jante huwe bhi ki apko Mrityu dand mil sakta hain?!! (Even if you are Knowelagable that you can be punished severely?!! Or can be even executed?!!)" Shone asked him. In shock.
"Ji (Yes)" short answer of Charusheel.
"Yinhe Pran dand dijiye. (You have up execute him. Hang him to death.)" His younger sibling Shone demanded.
Karna looked at Shounak who in total silence nodded his head in agreement.
Karna opposed the idea. He did not like it. He had put his right palm on his own forehead. His head felt too heavy!!! He felt a throbbing pain in it!!! He had skipped dinner for some days!! Till the illness of Padmavati he neglected his Heath severely. Yet he was too determined to complete his duty!!! As a King!! His masses need him!! Hats off to his dedication!!!
His eyes got teary instantly to declare the judgement. It happened seldom. With him. That was the reason why his masses dotted on him!! He did not seem like an emotionless emperor, rather a person with down to earth simplicity!!! Any ruler had to become a good person at heart!! And Karna was like that!!
"Apko Karagar main dala jata hain. (By pointing to Charusheel) Aur Devi Sulochana apko bhi. Rajdrohita, deshdrohita aur Sadayantra ki atyant mahatwapurna aviyog ki adhar pe. Ap dono ki bichar kal hoga. (You have to keep in the prison. And Sulochana bhi. For the charges of treachery, conspiracy against state and murder charges against Queen. I will myself announce your punishment. Wait till tomorrow.)" Then he looked back at Supriya and added "Ap mukt hain, Devi Supriya. Natak samapt huwa. (You are free to go now. The play has been ended.)" His voice trembled a bit. But he hid it beautifully.
Supriya was standing tall before him. She was listening everything but she failed to comprehend anything. What was they taking about?!! Suddenly she shivered hard just by hearing a husky baritone voice in her ears. It was the first utterance of her God!! Her deity!! Her husband!!! After marriage!!! To her!!
But she failed to comprehend what he meant by "Natak samapt ho gayi". She did not realize what a big problem had been solved for Her!! She was acquitted from every blame against herself. Today. At this Royal court. By her husband Karna!!!
She looked inquisitively at his face. He sharply turned back to her and went away. But his walk was not so regal. As usual. He felt not well. He dragged his feet slowly and carefully. She looked at his tall disappearing shadow. From back. She did not know his intention. Till now!!! Yet her mind felt numb and eyes moister. God knew why?!! She smiled brightly. God knew why too?!! Only God knew what this naive and gullible girl understand and feel in this situation!!!

Do you really like my story? I have been constantly abused in most of my comments section by citing silly causes like I have depicted the character of Bhanumati (Oh sorry Sati Bhanumati) as evil, Draupadi (oh sorry Mata Draupadi) as a silly revenge seeking abusive woman, Bhism as a molester, Ulupi as an evil meanminded character etc etc. For some days I have seen this kind of constant increase to badmouth me and my stories. I feel really so very angry. This experience is truly frustrating. I strongly tell all of you that I took most of the names from Mahabharata but their characters are all human. None of them are saint or God like. They have good and bad qualities in between them. Like all of us. I prefer to write my fan fiction story. Take it as one. Like this.
I strongly suggest please you all the blind fans of Mata Draupadi or Sati Bhanumati avoid my stories. I don't want to hurt anyone's blind faith and religious beliefs. I am sorry but if you don't like me to continue this story, tell me directly. Don't abuse or hurt below bottom. I am not a paid author. I write as it is my own childhood dream.
