Story Unfolds:
At one royal room of Hastinapur:
"Main samajh nahin pa raha hoon ki Duryodhan yeah suyog kyun khona chahega!!! Usne Kalinga jane ki itni sunahra abasar kyun hat se Jane diya hoga!!! (I can't imagine why that fool Duryodhan miss the golden chance to join in the Swayambar of the Kalinga Princess!!)"
A man was now frwoning deep while telling this. He was none but Pitamah Bhism himself. The reason of his own astonishment was that he received the news that Duryodhan refuted the proposal of Vidur to go to Kalinga on the ground that he was uninvited there!!! He knew that something was amiss!!! Something was cooking in the evil brain of Shakuni and that foolish egocentric Prince was playing as the pawn in his uncle's hands. As usual. But what he could not understand!!!
Pitamah Bhism
He was pacing upside down in his room. In deep anxiety. He knew that some evil was going to happen at any second now. Why Duryodhan refuted the proposal?!! Why he left for Anga at this nick of the time?!! Why his dear friend Karna was absent here?!! All three points seemed conjoined to him. And he was right. Duryodhan had an ulterior motive. He would discover it soon!!!

At a Small Home of Hastinapur:
"Main soch Main hoon, Devi, ki ek anhoni anewali hain. Duryodhan toh apaman sahan karnewalo main nahi. Toh uski is khamoshi ki karan Kya hain?!!! (I am in mortal distress, my dear wife. One disaster was going to happen soon. Duryodhan is not the boy who accepts his defeat to easily. Then why he is so silent!!)"
A man was telling this grumpily to his wife. Mother of Anvasva and Anuketu. She was Devi Sulava and he was her wise husband Mahamantri Vidur.
Devi Sulabha (Wife of Vidur)
Mahatma Vidur
"Swami, kahin ap nirthak chintit toh nahin ho rahe hain!! (Dear husband, do not you worry too much?!! For no reason!!)" She tried to assure him.
He nodded his head dismissively. He was sanguine that Duryodhan had some plan. In his evil brain. He did not like Duryodhan a bit. He was too sacred of his strong negative aura. So much that he failed to notice his soft human sides too. However Vidur had to unravel the truth!!! As soon as possible!!!

15 hours ago: At Royal Chamber of Hastinapur:
"Yeah apka apaman hain, Pitashree. (This is your insult, my father.)"
A boy of 25 was telling it calmly to his father. He was provoking his blind father's rage. He knew that his father was mentally blind too. He would do anything for his sake!!! Since his early childhood he took advantage of this weakness!! Successfully!!! He had committed many sins and his father hid it beautifully from the world!! He was sanguine his father would help him here too!! He was Duryodhan. Prince Duryodhan of Hastinapur.
Rajkumar Duryodhan
His father was also fuming in rage. He also wanted to avenge his insult. But in the presistent requests of Bhism and Vidur he had to keep quite.
"Kya karna chahte Ho (What you have planned to do), Duryi?!!" He asked his son.
Duryodhan looked at his father's face. With a big smile on his face. He knew that his father would not oppose his idea. After all King Dhritashtra had always listened to his Dhratarashtra or his sons!!! Too blindly!!! His blind faith was behind Mahabharata war. In early youth he was tremendously powerful Boy himself. Till now he was believed to be more powerful man than anyone of his age. His power was his body!!! His weakness was his evil and jealous heart!!!
Young Dhritashtra
"Tumhara yojna Kay hain, Putra?!! (What is your plan, my son?!!)" He asked to Suyodhan.
"Pitashree, Main us avimani Rajkanya ka apaharan karke lana chahta hoon. Usne mujhe na bulake us Arjuna ko newta deke bada bhul kiya hain. Main uska ghamand todrna chahta hoon. Apni haton se. (Father, I want to kidnap the princess. She called for Arjuna instead of me. I will make her repent for her mistake. In my both hands.)" Duryodhan smiled a little while answering this.
"Nahin Putra. Aisa bhul kadapi nahin karna. (No, Son. Don't do that mistake again.)"
He stopped dead by hearing a loud cry in his eardrum. He lifted his eyes and looked at his dear mother. Gandhari whose warnings we listened just now.
Dhritashtra & Gandhari
"Ek kanya ki apaman mat karna. Sab dhansa ho Jayega. (Don't insult any girl. Everything will demolish.)" She warned him wisely.
Her husband snorted aloud. Her son arched his left eyebrow slightly in the amusement. Both were not convinced by her reasoning!!! They never had any urge to listen to her wise advices! Unless the epic Mahabharata war would never happen!!!
"Parnatu Bhagini, Bhanje toh usse bibah karna chahta hain. (But dear sister, nephew Duryodhan wants to marry her. Not to insult her.)" Her own brother Shakuni intervened.
"Par us kanya se bibah karke kya labh jo manse kisi aur ko apni Sarbaswa man chuki hain!!! (But it is futile to marry any girl who loves another man. From her heart.)" She tried to resonate with them in vain.
"Mate jab apko Pitashree ke liye jita gaya tha ap bhi toh unse Prem nahin karti thi. Kya yeah ap dono ki bibah Main aprchan laya tha?!! (But mother when you had been won for father do you love him?!! Don't you tell in love for him later?!! Will it stop you to marry him!!)" Duryodhan asked her. Confidently.
Gandhari sighed hard. She recalled several days and nights her pain and suffering. She loved him!! She had put blindfold for his sake!! She was so very afraid of darkness!! Yet she had blindfolded herself!!! To be part of his pain and agony in this dark world!! But he thought she was making fun of his blindness!! He refused to come near her for 2 years!!! That pain was still imprinted in her mind!!!
All of a sudden she sensed a soft male tug in her left shoulder. Her husband Dhritashtra touched her. To assure her. He knew that perfectly that she would think now!!!
"Prem ho Jati hain, Mate. Bibah ki uparant. Aur yeah Kuru vansh ki rit bhi hain. Mata Ambika and Ambalika ki bibah aise hi huwa tha. Pitamah Bichirtabirya ke sath. (After marriage love blossoms, Mother. And this is the tradition of our Kuru clan. Our dear grandfather Bichitravirya got married to grandmothers Ambalika and her sister Ambika in this way.)" Her son assured her and touched his feet. He get away along with his uncle.
She whispered softly "Devi Amba ko mat bhulna Putra. Wo Mahamahim ki jivan ka avishap bani thi. (Don't you dare to forget Devi Amba who became a curse on Bhism's life.)"
But none listened to her. Her son was long gone now!!! She sighed hard. She knew that this Kalinga Princess would never accept him wholeheartedly. It never happened. A girl could not be forced to marry anyone against her own will. Ambika-Ambalika and she had chosen their destinies. To save their near and dear ones. But all girls were not cowards like them. Some could be Amba. Some Draupadi. Some Bhanumati too.
