Chapter Notes:
Recap: Xiao Tian and Bai Feng renewed their contract, but how would this affect the dynamics of their relationship? They were never supposed to have a prolonged interaction, yet their lives are currently entangled with one another.

Weeks passed as trees had turned red and yellow. With the beautiful full moon high in the sky, Xiao Tian decided to visit Bai Feng, albeit later than usual due to his hesitation.
"Preparing to go to bed?" the masked man eyed the informant in his ivory one-layer hanfu. The attire reminded Xiao Tian of the night he first tried to assassinate the golden-eyed beauty.
"What is the purpose of your visit.." Bai Feng realized that Xiao Tian had something on his hands.
"I brought osmanthus wine and mooncakes~ Let's celebrate mid-autumn in our own way ^^" the assassin said cheekily as he was already letting himself in, sitting on his cushion and setting down the bottle.
"You're not going to drag me out to join in the 'festivities' this time?" Bai Feng said as he crossed his arms.
"C'mon Xiao Bai~ I won't cause problems I promise~" the assassin sing-songed.
"Isn't it dangerous for an assassin to be drinking liquor?" the informant raised his eyebrows in curiosity.
"Are you worried about me? I'm good at handling my alcohol, no worries~"
Bai Feng let out another sigh, he knew he couldn't win against Xiao Tian when he was this stubborn.
"I'll get us some cups" Bai Feng stood up before realizing, Wait, am I.. getting soft?
Despite their usual outward expression being cold and indifferent to one another, both Xiao Tian and Bai Feng were getting wary of each other's growing attachment as time passed.
Is it alright to let things continue? They constantly harm one another.
They can't trust each other. Yet why is it difficult to pull away?
"Xiao Bai, you drink a lot?" their conversation seemed to be less awkward than usual as alcohol slowly dulled their coherence.
"Only when I have to meet my clients" Bai Feng was slowly getting tipsy but he could still reply coherently.
"Hmm.. You don't seem to handle it well. Don't drink when you're outside" Xiao Tian stared at how flushed the informant had gotten.
"Did you come here to lecture me HeiLi?" the cedar-haired man muttered as he set down his cup of liquor.
"Have some mooncakes Xiao Bai~" the assassin nudged the plate of mooncakes closer to the informant.
"I'll brew some tea to go with the mooncakes then.." Bai Feng was about to get up but Xiao Tian grabbed his hand.
"We should have enough drinks if you're worried about that~" the assassin cheekily put another jar on the table.
"How much are you planning to drink tonight?" the cedar-haired man looked at Xiao Tian in disbelief.
"It'll be fine ^^" the short-haired assassin took a piece of the mooncake Bai Feng just cut and hummed in approval.
The night went by slowly as the pair watched the picturesque full moon high up in the sky. Bai Feng sighed, closing his eyes as his vision started to get fuzzy. The faint buzz in his head is now pleasant, numbing the anxiousness he has been feeling these few weeks.
The cedar-haired beauty then loosened his hanfu by instinct, trying to cool off his body's rising temperature. Not knowing where to look, Xiao Tian cleared his throat. Though he couldn't help but glance at the informant's slender neck which had flushed slightly peach in color.
Then his eyes traveled upwards, now staring at Bai Feng's rosy-tinted lips. He recalled the feeling when they last shared a kiss, but the assassin quickly shook those dangerous thoughts away.
How can a man look this beautiful? ..Is the alcohol getting to me? Thought Xiao Tian.
Suddenly Bai Feng opened his stunning golden eyes and stared at the short-haired assassin. The informant then threw himself onto the masked man, both his arms wrapping around Xiao Tian's neck. Their cups were knocked over and their treats were scattered everywhere. But the both of them were in a trance, they couldn't break away from each other's gaze.
Nothing seemed to matter at the time. They were getting closer and closer as Bai Feng leaned onto him. Xiao Tian was lost, staring at the beautiful golden irises, not knowing what to do with Bai Feng.
"HNN..I always wonder... Why the hell do you always have this damn mask on! Even when eating and drinking! How absurd!" slurred Bai Feng before letting out a small hiccup. Did Xiao Bai just curse? He's.. definitely drunk, thought the onyx-haired assassin.
Xiao Tian then wrapped his arm around Bai Feng's waist to keep him steady and asked,
"Does my mask bother you?" the assassin teased
"I've known you for a year and yet.." Bai Feng's words slurred.
"Oh? So you are interested in seeing my face—"
"What if I say yes? Will you show me?" asked the informant straightforwardly.
Those words made Xiao Tian stunned in place, he never thought alcohol would affect Bai Feng this much. The cedar-haired man buried his face in Xiao Tian's neck, his soft breaths tickling the assassin ever so slightly.
"Alright, it's time for bed princess" the assassin quickly looked away before pulling Bai Feng off his body.
"I'm not sleepy.." the currently intoxicated Bai Feng was stubborn, so Xiao Tian had to carry the informant back to bed.
The cedar-haired man was struggling a lot, demanding the assassin to put him down. As he flailed his arms, Bai Feng accidentally knocked Xiao Tian's mask off his face.
A soft clatter can be heard as the mask falls onto the ground. Under the reflection of the moonlight, Bai Feng stared into the assassin's mesmerizing jade orbs.
They were hypnotizing.
Seeing Xiao Tian's face for the first time, Bai Feng asked,
"Did anyone tell you that you look beautiful?"
The alcohol definitely made Bai Feng very honest about his thoughts. The informant then gave off a gentle smile which ignited a fire inside Xiao Tian. The assassin already got used to the business smile the stoic man always does, but this..
The only reason why the assassin decided to pull Bai Feng away earlier tonight was because any more than that, he might not be able to control himself. But after he saw the informant's defenseless expression, the last string of self-control Xiao Tian had just.. snapped.
"...You started this Xiao Bai.."
Xiao Tian laid Bai Feng on the bed and climbed on top of him. The assassin then parted the informant's lips and kissed him gently, tasting the alcohol they shared just now with a subtle hint of sweetness that was very addicting.
"W-Wait.. HeiL—" Bai Feng gasped, breaking the kiss to catch his breath. His face now flushed pink with a string connecting the two. But soon the assassin took his soft lips again, making the long-haired beauty beneath him quiver.
Xiao Tian couldn't help but want to tease the golden-eyed man. He nipped at the shell of Bai Feng's ears which had turned crimson as they kissed. The assassin then decorated the informant's neck in shades of pink, biting his collarbone, as if marking his territory, claiming what's his. All the while, Bai Feng was trembling at Xiao Tian's every touch.
He's sensitive.. thought the jade-eyed assassin.
The assassin noticed Bai Feng's enticing expressions as he roamed his hands down the informant's chest, a stark contrast to his usual stoic face. But as Xiao Tian slipped Bai Feng's robe off his shoulder, the informant instinctively covered himself out of embarrassment.
But Xiao Tian just wordlessly took the informant's hand before taking a second to trace the scar he left on Bai Feng's chest. The assassin then planted a kiss on the faded scar, as if he were apologizing.
Xiao Tian moved further down, gently running his tongue on one of Bai Feng's hardened nubs. Even the assassin could slowly feel the heat rise up to his cheeks as he continued to tease the informant.
Eventually, the foreign sensations Bai Feng felt turned into tingles of pleasure. Arching his back, the golden-eyed beauty softly whimpered Xiao Tian's name.
When the assassin thought nothing could tempt him more.. but he held himself back. He definitely would never let anyone see the informant like this.
Xiao Tian growled dangerously at the thought.
Bai Feng is his, he won't let anyone touch him.
The assassin moved downwards towards his abdomen, trailing kisses and leaving marks as he went. But when Xiao Tian was about to free Bai Feng's bulge that had been straining against his hanfu, the informant sat up and tried to hide his bottom half under the covers.
Xiao Tian looked up to meet Bai Feng's half-lidded gaze. Is he still embarrassed? Thought the jade-eyed man.
The assassin then propped the informant on his lap and embraced him from behind, taking it slow so he wouldn't scare the long-haired beauty.
"Hmm~ you fit perfectly in my arms Xiao Bai.." Xiao Tian whispered in his ears.
The sentence doesn't seem to upset the informant, but the tip of his ears turned crimson once more. The assassin then took the chance to pepper kisses down Bai Feng's neck while continuing to take off Bai Feng's robes. Not long after, the jade-eyed man wrapped his hand around the informant's length, causing the golden-eyed man to jolt in surprise.
"W-Wait don't—" the cedar-haired beauty gasped out, as Xiao Tian bit onto Bai Feng's nape while continuing to tease the informant's weeping member.
Soon Bai Feng's breaths became uneven, his eyes shut, as delightful moans escaped his rosy lips. By reflex, the golden-eyed beauty brought his hands to his lips, biting on his finger to silence himself. But Xiao Tian quickly pulled them away.
"I want to hear you.." whispered the assassin in a husky voice.
It was a tone that Bai Feng never heard before from the assassin, which sent shivers down his spine. As Xiao Tian continued with his persistent teasing, tears started to well up as a wave of pleasure rippled through Bai Feng's body.
"H-HeiLi.. enough.. any more than this...!" Bai Feng tried to close his legs in an attempt to make Xiao Tian stop but the assassin pried his thighs apart once more and whispered
"You're reacting to my slightest touch, how cute.."
"H-HeiLi– Ah! Enough.. I really can't anymore..!" whimpered Bai Feng as he threw his head back. The informant's body shuddered as Xiao Tian continued stroking the sensitive shaft, despite the protests coming from the cedar-haired beauty.
Xiao Tian then brushed his thumb against the tip and an electric sensation jolted up the informant's spine. Everywhere Xiao Tian touched felt like it was burning.. Pressure started to build in the informant's abdomen, causing the latter to tense his core muscles.
Xiao Tian realized that Bai Feng was close, so the assassin picked up his speed, earning even more choked-up cries from the long-haired beauty. Bai Feng then bit on his bottom lip, muffling a pleasured cry as he released into Xiao Tian's hand.
The informant slumped completely onto Xiao Tian's chest as his body quivered from the aftershocks of his climax. Xiao Tian hummed in satisfaction as he watched the informant's flushed body try to calm down from the high.
Finally, those beautiful golden orbs fluttered open and Xiao Tian kissed Bai Feng's forehead urging him to rest. Not long after cleaning and tucking the cedar-haired beauty comfortably in bed, the assassin got up.
After all, he had to deal with his own problem.
When Xiao Tian came back from the bathroom, Bai Feng was already fast asleep, so he lay down next to him. For the first time in a long time, Xiao Tian felt like he wasn't empty. However, he was quite unhappy about Bai Feng calling out his codename throughout the night. But he couldn't help it, the sleeping beauty didn't know his real name after all.
Finally, with his head clear, Xiao Tian saw what he had done. He came back to his senses and let out a big sigh. I'm gonna get kicked in the face tomorrow morning... But he didn't regret any of his actions,
Bai Feng was especially beautiful tonight.
Xiao Tian continued to observe the informant, wondering how the same person with such an innocent sleeping face made those enticing expressions in bed. Xiao Tian then moved closer to pull Bai Feng into an embrace, thinking how warm he made him feel.

The next morning Bai Feng woke up with a major headache and a weight on his chest. Wait a weight on his chest?? The informant was surprised to see how Xiao Tian was clinging onto him, of course, his mask was donned even when asleep. Bai Feng panicked and kicked the assassin out of his bed. Why is he still here, Why are my robes.. What's going on— his mind raced a million miles an hour.
Bai Feng recalled seeing a pair of beautiful jade eyes but wasn't sure whether it was a dream or.. But before the informant could process his thoughts, Xiao Tian interrupted him as he got up from the floor and greeted him good morning. Bai Feng then proceeded to berate him with questions but Xiao Tian just asked,
"Ah? Did you actually want something to happen?~ ^^"
