Pov- Kaira
I stood dumbfounded .Did he really said I am looking good ? no way he can't say something like this .I am just dreaming I know .I should go down and meet maa .I walked out of the room ,said good morning to everyone those were present in the hall .I stepped into the kitchen .
"Maa aap "
(Mom you )
"Aare Kaira beta aa gayi tum "
(Kaira ,daughter you came )
"Maa woh actually aaj meri pehli rasoi hai na ??"
(mom today is my first kitchen ,isn't it ?)
"Haa sahi kaha ,aaj tumhari pehli rasoi he hai "
(yes that's right today is your first kitchen )
" Chalo fir shuru ho jao kheer bana ne ke liye "
(Let's start making the kheer )
"Yesss " - I replied happily
"Agar kuch bhi dikkat hogi toh mujhe ya fir kisi ko aawaz laga dena hum sab bahar he baithe hai "
(If there is any problem then call me or someone else ,we are all sitting outside )
"Haa maa ma aawaz laga dungi "
(Sure mom I will call you )
"Ma jaati hu fir thik hai " - Maa said and went out of the kitchen
Okay so get ready Kaira to prepare KHEER .I can do it !!!
I started to prepare the kheer .First I kept the pan on gas and switched on the gas then I added milk to the pan and stirred it properly because the milk shouldn't get burn at the bottom of pan .Then I took soaked rice which was already kept for me .I added the rice to the pan and started to stir it evenly .After few minutes I added sugar to the mixture of milk and rice .I again stirred it evenly after quite few minutes I took some dry fruits (Almonds ,cashew nuts etc .)to the mixture and finally after 25 minutes or something My Kheer was ready .
I distributed the kheer to the bowls equally .After doing everything including the decorations of kheer and all my kheer of fully ready .I kept all the bowls on the tray and took the tray in the hall where everyone was sitting .
"Kheer is ready !!!" -I screamed
"Aayi ye sab log "
(Come everyone )
Everyone started to sit on the chair .After letting them sit I started to give the kheer to everyone .
"Papa ye aapke liye ,maa ye aap ke liye ,chachi ji ye lijiye ,chacha ji ye bowl aapke liye ,bua ji ye aapka ,Sameer ye tumhare liye ,shanaya ye tum hara aur
"Myself Riddhi " - She said proudly
I faked smiled and gave one bowl of kheer to her .
"Thank you bhabhi " - Sameer said
I nodded while smiling
"Chaliye ab aap sab taste karke mujhe batao ki kaisi bani hai kheer "
(Now come on ,all of you taste it and tell me how the kheer turned out )
Everyone took one bite .Nervousness started in my heart .
"Bhabhi ye acha nahi bana hai " - Sameer said
(Kheer is not good )
my heart dropped at this sentence .
" Kheer bahaut achi bani hai !!" - He screamed
(Kheer is very good !!)
"Aisa kon bolta hai sameer ma rone wali thi " - I said smiling
(Who says like this ,I was about to cry)
"Well Kaira ,kheer has actually turned out good ,proud of you my bachi " - Maa said
"Thank you so much maa "
"Kheer is superb "- Everyone shouted
The tears of happiness started to fall from my eyes .Atleast I have got the best family .Thank you god for giving this family .
"Vihaan aaj bhi kaam pe jaa rahe ho ?" - Maa asked
Realization hit me .Vihaan hasn't even tasted the kheer yet .I looked into the direction of Vihaan ,he was coming down the downstairs with his full office look .
" Haa maa ,bahaut important meeting hai ,isliye jana padega ,Bye maa and bye to everyone " - He said and walked away
I sighed and went into the bedroom .Why this happens to me ,why god ji?? Today is my first day in this house and he did't even tasted the kheer of my hand .Tears started to fall from my eyes .I guess he didn't knew about all this rituals .
"May I come in bhabhi " - Sameer said
I looked into the direction of door .
"Sameer and Shanaya ,come in ,come in "
"Dii aaj aapne kya kheer banayi thi ma toh fan ho gayi aapke kheer ki " - Shanaya said
(The kheer you have made today was superb ,I became fan of your kheer )
"Sahi kaha Shanaya " - Sameer replied
(Yea yeah you are right )
"Bas karo kitni taarif karoge "
(Stop praising me )
"Aap toh laakho ma ek ho " - Sameer said
(you are one in million )
"Aare re thank you Sameer " - I said happily
(Thank you Sameer )
"So di how are you feeling ,I mean today is your first day after marriage so,"
"Quite nice uhm let it be ,can you tell me who is Riddhi? ,I mean who is she to this family ?"
"Actually bhabhi she is the childhood friend of Vihaan bhai " - Sameer said
"Oh okay I understood "
"Anything else you want to know ? dii "
"No no " - I said smiling
"Okay then we are going out ,bye bye " - Shanaya said
"Bye bye bhabhi "
" Bye and take care ,I said closed the door
Okay so she is his childhood friend that's why they both were so much close to each other . I shouldn't think about them ,I should focus on myself .
In the evening
I came down after my sleep .I saw everyone was doing something with the necklaces .I decided to go and ask
"Chachi ji what are you doing?" I asked and sat beside her
"Actually we all are planning for a function "
"What kind of function chachi ji?"
"This is yours and Vihaan's reception function " - Maa said in between
I looked into the direction of maa .I realized this function is ours function .Did he really care about all this function ,I don't think so .
"Wow maa reception ,it will be fun " - I faked smile
Everyone started laughing and chit chatting but then suddenly Riddhi came ,
"Chachi ji where is Vihaan's laptop ? I am not able to find " - Riddhi said
"I think it's in the Vihaan's bedroom " - She replied
"Okay chachi ji I will find out " - Riddhi said and walked away
She want his laptop? but for what purpose ? and she dares to go to our bedroom .I should go and check out,is she actually finding the laptop or not ."I am coming in few minutes "
Chachi ji nodded,I said and climbed the stairs to go up .After going I reached our bedroom .As I was about to enter I saw she was coming out .
"Uhm wait a second " - I stopped her
"Did you came to take laptop?"- I asked
"Ofc I came to take laptop otherwise what I will take from your bedroom - She said and walked away .
Isn't she noisy ,I swear god ji ,ye ladki pagal hai puri ki puri .Her confidence level tho ,she thinks she is maharani aur something .Nevermind .I had already came to our bedroom I should remove my dress and wear a comfortable one .I went infront of the mirror ,firstly I removed my jewelleries ,followed by bangles and then I decided to untie my knot of blouse .Let me tell you a fact ,I am super duper unlucky in opening the knot .Yesterday only I have faced embarassment because of this knot .
I started to open ,I mean I tried to open it but as I said I am unlucky in knot and all .The knot was not opening .God ji please help me ,help me to untie my blouse .
Out of blue suddenly Vihaan came and said
"Let me help you "
"You don't need t-"
"Let me do it Kaira "
After sometime I decided to give him permission for this .As soon as he started to open it ,his fingers slightly brushed my back it gave goosebumps all over my body .I don't know how but the butterflies were dancing in my stomach continuosly ,Ahh why is giving me these feelings .
"Are you done ?"- I asked
"Yes "
He said and went into the bathroom .Why this ignorance after doing this .Forget about him Kaira ,he was just helping you nothing else .Who knows he will be having any gf or something .Of course I don't know him exactly and I don't know if I ever will .
After some time Vihaan exited the bathroom and then I entered .In quite few minutes I was done changing into comfortable clothes .I moved out of the bathroom .I saw Vihaan sitting on the bed while using his phone.I wished this same attention was given to me ,then how lucky I will become just god ji knows .
"Hai na god ji "
"Huh? kuch kaha Kaira? " - Vihaan asked
"Na-Nahi toh maine kuch nahi kaha " - I replied in hesitation
Suddenly he questioned something ,my heart beat started to increase .He don't know but I am madly in love with him .Is it illegal to love his own wife no right ,then why doesn't he love me ,why doesn't he give attention like he do to that so called girl Riddhi .Am I that much useless ?.
I suddenly remembered that he hasn't even tasted my kheer yet ,should I ask him to taste ? or I shouldn't .I think I should ask him moreover it is a ritual so he has to follow it .I took up my courage and stood beside him where he was sitting .
"Actually Vihaan you haven't tasted the kheer yet "
"Which kheer you are talking about ?" - He said while looking towards me
"Th-The kheer which I hav-have prepared today as a ritual "
"So you want me to taste the Kheer which you have prepared ?"
"Yes ,yes "
"Okay then you can go and bring it now "
I nodded and went into the kitchen to bring the kheer .I have already kept one bowl of kheer in the refrigerator for him .Thank you god ji that he agreed to taste my kheer .I took out kheer from refrigerator and took one tray .I kept the bowl on the tray and went to my room .
As I was about to enter sudden shock I got from what I saw .After seeing the sight my tray suddenly slipped from my hand and all the kheer was spread here and there.Tears welled up in my eyes .I was not able to digest the site which was there infront of me .I already assumed that he likes her and today I think I am sure I guess .I ran away from there .
