Kyla's P.O.V
I didn't sleep at all. Zoey is gone, and I've tried a thousand times to text Lucas, but he is not answering. Sky came inside my room, and she had a worried expression.

"So, umm, I heard all the news." She started as she sat on my bed. "So. Is it the Lucas that was bothering you or a different one?" She asked, and I gave her an incredulous look.

"It's the same person." I said frustratedly, contemplating whether or not should I tell her or not. Lucas probably has cameras, so if I tell Sky what if he does something to Zoey. He was extremely infuriating, and I could not believe it. He wouldn't do anything to Zoey. He couldn't.

On the contrary, he would. I mean, he does not have anything to lose. Literally anything. He's a psychopath.

"Is everything okay?" She asked, and she can feel something is terribly wrong.
"Umm, no. Everything is perfectly fine." I faked a smile, and she frowned.

"Now I know something is definitely wrong. What's wrong?" She persisted, and my phone vibrated, and I didn't need to look to see who it was. "Is it because Matteo's birthday?" I asked, and I nodded. I have to protect Zoey even if it means lying to my twin sister.

"You got me. I'm just so worried that he won't have time for me." I lied, and it wasn't easy to lie, especially to Sky. "Don't worry. He's head over hills for you." She patted my shoulder and went out of the room, and I took out my phone.

Lucas
I know Matteo's my brother. I won't tell my father that I know. I've got tabs on you, beautiful, and if you want your sister alive, you better do as I say.

Me
How do I know that you actually have her

That was a stupid question because he could already hear me speak.

Lucas
I thought you were smart:/

Me
Please, let me just hear her voice.

He called, and I heard sobs. My heart hardened when hearing those sobs. "Kyla. What's happening?" She sobbed, and a tear fell down from my eyes.

"Your choice, beautiful. I'm fair, though, so you have a week to decide or else." He said, and he hung up. A week. That gives me enough time, but Zoey is a smart kid, but she is still a kid nonetheless. So that's what Lucas meant when he said something at the club.

I went to take a shower, and I couldn't care less if he saw me taking a shower. I felt powerless, I felt broken. He can't do this to me. I sobbed still inside the rectangular glass as the shower water merged with my tears.

I can't lose Zoey, but I also can't leave Matteo. I love him too much to do that. Lucas has me cornered, I can't do anything.

I got out of the shower, and I wore the black hoodie Matteo gave me and black jeans with some sneakers. My hair was back to being puffy because of the water, so I decided to wear a beanie on top of my hair.

Thoughts like, will they feed her? Do they know her allergies? Is she okay? Does she have her stuffed animal with her? Is she still alive at this point? Went through my head.

I got out of the bedroom, and I joined the family for breakfast. By the family, I mean Gloria, Willow, Matteo, and Sky. "Hello." I tried to be cheerful, but I miserably failed.

I took a seat next to Matteo, and his scent at the very least comforted me. "Amore. Are you okay?" He asked, and out of the whole room, he is the one that can actually read me.

"Umm, I'm okay." I said, not even touching my food. My mind kept wondering off to Zoey. She was innocent, and she shouldn't have been involved. Maybe my parents were right, I can't take care of a child.

"You don't look okay." He wrapped his hands around me, and my head was lying on his shoulder. "Just a little sick." I lied once again, and Gloria put her hands on her lips.

"Are you pregnant, Kyla?" And my head shot up from Matteo's shoulder. "Yup. That woke her right up." She chuckled, and Matteo looked shocked.

"Matteo. Relax. I'm not pregnant." I rolled my eyes. "Yet." Sky whispered, and I shot her a dirty look. "If she were to be pregnant. Their child would be darn, right beautiful." Sky cooed, and Willow hummed in agreement.

"What do you say, fiore? You wanna have a child." Matteo smirked, and I raised an eyebrow. "Not now." I whispered, and Sky gasped.

"So you will have a child!" She screamed, and I rolled my eyes. "What happened to the rest of the familia?" I asked Matteo.

"I kicked them out. I disowned them. I'm officially Don. Not that anything has changed." He proudly smirked at the end.

"That's good." I smiled. I did want that part of the family to be out. My stomach rumbled, but I still didn't have an appetite. "You have to eat something." Gloria persisted, and I took a bite of her pancakes, which had cinnamon.

"Where's Zoey?" Sky asked, and my heart clenched. "She's at Daniel's sleepover for like a week since it's their winter break." I said, and she shrugged and continued eating her food.

"Matteo. What helps you release emotions that you have, like anger?" I asked once we were alone. "Boxing or spray painting." She replied, and I smiled.

"Can you teach me how to box?" I asked in a sweet voice, and his pink lips twitched into a smile. "Okay." He said, and I gave him a hug.

Matteo's P.O.V
Something was off with Kyla. I could see it, she looks like she didn't sleep. She now wants me to teach her boxing? Something is definitely off.

We walked inside the gym, which is beside the basement. It had all the gym equipment more than a regular gym could have. She looked good in my hoodie and that beanie.

"Okay. What's first?" She put her hands on her hips, and I stared at her. "First. I need you to take off the hoodie." I gestured to the black oversized hoodie.

She nodded, and she took it off left with a tanktop, and I could see her bra through it. I controlled myself, and she raised an eyebrow.

"Here are some boxing gloves." I gave the boxing gloves to her, and she took them and strapped them on.

"I want you to punch the punching bag with full force." She nodded, and I could see that she was very determined to learn this, but that's okay. I guess.

She punched it, and I could see that she was weighed down. "Are you weak?" My tone turned dark, and I didn't like speaking to her like that, but she had to learn. "Excuse me?" She had that challenging look on her face. She always has her one eyebrow arched up when she looks confused or angry.

"You heard me. Now, I want you to punch the life out of that punching bag like your life depends on it," I took put my pistol, and I aimed it at her. "Cause it does." I said lowly.

She gave it to her all, but her punches were clumsy. She has potential but not enough potential to actually throw a punch at someone without actually bruising something. "You could've died. That punch was pathetic." I smirked. "I know." She breathed.

"Maybe. This can motivate you." I took off my jacket, which left me with my long sleeved shirt, which hugged my muscles tight. "For every punch that makes the punching bag swing really hard. I'll strip off one piece of clothing." I said, and she rolled her eyes, but she smirked either way.

"This one is heavy." She whined. "Yes. It is, but it'll strengthen your muscles." I said calmly, and she huffed. She punched the bag with her most powerful shot, and it moved.

"Continue. As in continue, continously punching it." I folded my arms, and she did just that. I could see the sweat stream from her body, I could see the determination in her eyes that she could be really good.

I took off my shirt and I was left with a tank top. She looked at me as she wiped the sweat from her eyes. I didn't notice that she had contacts instead of glasses on.

"You're actually good, amore." I smirked as I strided towards her, and she began to gulp. "Now for leg movement." I pushed my leg behind her calves, which caused her to fall flat on her stomach.

"What was that for?" She grunted. "That's to test the strength of calves, and they are definitely not strong." I chuckled, and she glared at me.

"I want you to throw at punch at me." I said firmly, and she raised an eyebrow. "Huh?" She asked. "Are you deaf? I said, "Punch me." I persisted, and she was about to throw a punch on my chest, but I effortlessly dodged it.

She threw continuous punches, but she didn't punch me once. "You're holding back. Something is distracting you." I looked at her brown eyes, which caused her to stop her fist in mid-air.

"I'm not okay." She shouted a bit loudly. "I'm not. I'm trying my best." She said weakly as if she was trying to tell me something, but she couldn't. "I'm not disputing that you're trying your best, but you're just -" She cut me off. "Weak?" She challenged.

"I'm not strong enough." She punched me directly in the chest, and it didn't hurt as much. "That I'm not good enough." She sobbed as she threw the last punch, and I pulled her to my chest.

"You're very strong. You're perfect. You're my motherfucking queen." I whispered and she looked at my with glassy eyes. She stared at my lips for a while before capturing mine to hers.

Her kiss was slow and tender. It was soft whereas mine are rough. Hers are deeper than they should be. She is pouring all emotion towards that one kiss.

She wrapped her hands around my torso. "I'm sorry." She sniffled. "I'm just really tired." She said and I understood but I felt that she was hiding something from me.

"Let's go." I said, and she nodded. "Let's go take a shower together." I said as she took my hoodie from the floor. "Not there yet, Matteo." She walked past me, and I chuckled.

She truly is one of a kind. "Not even as a birthday gift." I persisted, and she shook her head. Her ass just shook as she walked with every step, and damn was it fine.

I noticed something on her index finger, and it was a black ring. Not just any ring, it was a ring that had a symbol.

"Who gave you this?" I took her hand as I analyzed the ring. "Blake." She smiled as she played with the ring. "Blake?" I gritted out.

He must like Kyla in some type of way as more than a friend. Kyla, as smart as she is, does not realize. The way she smiled made my heart clench. She looked at me directly in the eyes, and that was enough to make me not angry at her. She gave me a soft smile.

"No matter what Matteo. I'll still be with you." She kissed my cheek, and I still eyed the ring. What is it for?

"Whatever." I took out my phone as it started to ring. "Ciao." I said to Dante over the phone.

"Yeah. Come check out what I have for you." There was excitement in his voice, and I rolled my eyes. "Where do we meet?" I asked as Kyla raised an eyebrow. I mouthed to her.'It's Dante'

"Umm. The backyard of your house will be fine." He said. "Go see your gift from Dante." She winked as she released a yawn from exhaustion.

"Okay. Just rest amore. I'll be back." I kissed my temple, and he went to the direction where Dante was.
