Y/N POV
I woke up to the feeling of pain surging through my body.
"OW!" I screamed in pain as I sat up, looking around I saw some girl's stuff and a glass of water beside my bed.
I drank the water and put it down. Suddenly, the sounds of fabric shuffling filled the room as I looked around again.
"WINTER!? Oof-" I was surprised then held my stomach from the pain when I screamed.
"O-oh... Y/N...." she woke up and stood up, scratching her eyes. Then her orbs lit up and jumped on the bed, effectively crushing me in the process.
"YOU'RE ALIVE!!" she hugged me tightly
"NOT ANYMORE OW!" she then got off and apologized
"It's fine... why are you here anyways...?"
I asked while checking out the bruises I received from the fight
"Well, I found out about your little brawl at the parking lot. Checked it out and found you knocked out on the ground. I was worried, you know?"
"Sorry, it's just that I couldn't take it anymore... I always end up like this...
Left out." Winter could see the sadness in my eyes, sat beside and hugged me.
"Hey, did you know that some of your classmates fought for you?"
"Eh... really?"
"Yeah.. I think Bang Chan was his name? He told me everything that happened there. He told me you snapped when the Shin guy said some bad stuff about Sana."
I placed my arm over her shoulders
"Well Bang Chan and the others are nice... I didn't think they were being genuine about me being part of their group when that happened. Looks like I was wrong huh... and yeah I just think it's wrong what he did to Sana."
"Oooh~ somebody has a crush~" she playfully teases me as she breaks away from the hug.
"WHAT!? DIDN'T I TELL YOU I'M GONNA MARRY A CAR INSTEAD??? I'M JUST DOING WHAT'S RIGHT!" I blushed insisting my ideals are better than love.
"HAHAHA I doubt that. Anyways, it's good that there's some people who care about you!"
She handed me my phone and I checked my chats.

"See? I told you!"
"Yeah..." for the first time I felt a genuine smile coming off of my face
Winter laughed at me
"Yah!! Why are you laughing at me!"
"Those boo boo on your face made your smile look funny! HAHAHAH"
"Shut it! I'm happy that they care about me."
She chuckled as she sat back down.
"So your mom is currently at school resolving this issue. It's the weekend so what do you want to do?"
"Well can't do much with my badly beaten up body... how bout we watch a movie?" I grabbed my laptop which was beside my bed and opened it.
"Sure thing! I'll go and make us pop corn." Winter went down stairs to do just that.
While she was making popcorn, I decided to find a good movie to watch and of course I resorted to watching another movie about cars.
She came back with the popcorn and handed the bowl to me. We got into a comfortable position, played the movie and cuddled.
"Seriously Y/N? Another movie about cars? Some things never change..." she rolled her eyes
"What!? It's a good movie!! Shut up and watch!" I grabbed a pop corn and stuffed it in her mouth
"I-!" her voice got muffled as crunching sounds took over. She looked at me with annoyed eyes and pouting lips.
Stop being cute please.
We continued watching the movie while eating popcorns.
Sana POV
I just finished studying when my butler knocked on the door.
*knock knock*
"Miss Sana! Lunch is ready!"
"Coming!" I closed my notes and opened the door.
"Psst! Hey Bunta, can you do me a favor?" I poked my head out of the room
"What is it Miss Sana?"
"I want to abandon the car myself. I'll call you when and where to pick me up okay?"
He looked really worried with my request
"But Miss! That's dangerous! You almost crashed the last time you tried driving that thing! Plus Miss Minatozaki won't be happy with you inside that car again!"
"No buts! Come on, you know I won't let anyone else touch that thing! Plus I'm abandoning it... let me part with it... mom doesn't have to know." I pouted showing him my puppy eyes trying to sway him
He suddenly chuckled saying,
"You just sounded like your mother right there" he sighed and nodded
"All right, just hit me up Miss Sana."
I jumped and went out of my room to eat lunch.
I arrived at the dining hall and sat down.
With this long dining table it always feels lonely with me and mom only eating.
"Sana, how are you doing in school? You're keeping your grades high I presume?" mom stared at me like she was reading my soul
"Yes ma'am.." I was looking down as I don't want to anger her once again. I continued eating my food.
The sounds of chewing and utensils clashing filled the hall.
"Sana, loosen up. You're tense."
I flinched thinking I was about to get scolded again but suddenly I felt a sense of comfort.
I thought to myself that maybe abandoning this whole car thing is right. I hope it's right.
Y/N POV
The movie just ended, I quickly finished the popcorn when I suddenly heard little snores coming from beside me. Winter fell asleep, she looked so peaceful.
"Thank you for being here Winter... you're the bestest friend I could ask for..." I turned off the laptop and dozed off to dreamland while snuggled between her arms.
Sana POV - Time: 11:01 PM
It's time. My mom went to work overnight as there were complications inside the company so she won't be back until tomorrow.
I went inside my Miata for one last time.
I started it as I took deep breaths. I learned the basics of driving because of Bunta but I'm still not confident on the road.
"Goodbye... little car.. it's gonna be our last ride."
I waved to Bunta and told him to wait for my call, he opened the gates and I took off.
Downtown, is where I'm planning to leave this car. As I drove slowly in the darkness of the streets I reminisced about the time I got this car.
It felt like I was complete. Now I have to part with it.
I arrived downtown, I was getting used to driving the car so I decided to speed up a little bit when I accidentally pressed on the gas pedal too hard the car lunged forward. I panicked and pressed the clutch and brakes trying to stop the car. Thankfully I was able to stop it.
"Phew... I thought I was done for.. driving is scary..." I regained my confidence and started driving again after calming down.
I tried speeding up again but this time slowly accelerating it.
"I did it! All right now onto 3rd gear..."
I was speeding through the streets eventually hitting 80 kph
I was feeling a sense of happiness and adrenaline coursing through my veins. I decided to change my mind and leave this car somewhere else as driving this was fun.
After some time I eventually hit a rural area.
"Wait. How long have I been driving for!?"
I checked my phone as I was soaring through the road in 90 kph
Time: 3:00 AM
"OH. SHIT!" I dropped my phone at the passenger seat and tried slowing down, when I accidentally shifted from 4th gear to 1st.
I think I just blew the engine-
I braked and slowed down.
Suddenly out of nowhere,
A scurry of squirrels appeared in front of the car, I panicked immediately turning the wheel right trying to avoid the poor animals.
My car launched off the road and into the rice fields.
"Ugh..." I groaned as the air bag squished me.
I waited for the air bag to deflate, grabbed my phone and crawled out of the car.
I was covered in dirt but thankfully I was fine.
I checked my phone and tried calling for Bunta who was calling and texting me throughout my drive.
"I was too indulged in driving I forgot!! Aaaaaaaaaa" I called Bunta who was still awake.
"MISS SANA! ARE YOU ALRIGHT? WHERE ARE YOU?"
"I don't know how but I'm alive, come pick me up please... I'll send you my location..." I sent him my location and waited.
After what felt like an eternity, he arrived.
"MISS SANA!! Thank God you're alright... did you total the car..?" He went and checked the car.
My miata was upside down with a busted engine.
"Yeah... There were squirrels on the road, I had to avoid them."
As I walked towards our car, I thought to myself.
Shin was right, cars isn't really for me at all.
