Sebastian’s POV
My phone started ringing just as I walked into the kitchen. I looked at the screen and rolled my eyes.
“Aren’t you going to answer that?” Rhys asked as he took a sip of his coffee.
I put the phone on the kitchen island and shook my head.
“Who is it?” Rhys asked and looked at my screen. “Holy fuck.”
He looked up at me his eyes widening. I nodded and shook my head.
“She is insane,” I mumbled. “How didn’t I see that sooner?”
I had almost 50 missed calls from Amelia. She sent me like a hundred messages. I was surprised that she didn’t come to my house.
“Wow,” Rhys mumbled. “She is calling again.”
I tightened my jaw and narrowed my eyes. I impulsively reached out for my phone and answered it.
“What?” I asked as I put it on speaker so Rhys could hear.
“Sebastian!” she exclaimed. “Why aren’t you answering me?!”
Hearing her voice made me tremble with anger. If she was there… If she was filming it…
“What the fuck do you want, Amelia?” I asked, clenching my fists.
She was silent for a moment.
“Your sister got Bruno in trouble,” she said. “He didn’t try to rape her.”
I saw fucking red. Rhys’ eyes widened and I saw fury on his face.
“She asked him to fuck her,” Amelia continued. “You need to talk to her and get her to drop the charges.”
Oh, I was going to kill her.
“Listen to me, you little…,” Rhys spoke, but I interrupted him.
“Bruno tried to rape her,” I said, tightening my jaw. “I know that everything you said about her was a lie. I know that that video was fake. Bruno drugged her and tried to hurt her. She even remembers someone being there with them and filming. She said it was a woman. If it was you, I am going to beat the living shit out of you, Amelia. If it was you, I am going to make sure you go to jail. I am going to make your life a living hell.”
I heard her gasp, but I wasn’t done.
“You and I are over,” I continued. “If you try to come close to Aurora again, I am going to fucking kill you. You messed with the wrong man, Amelia.”
“Sebastian, I didn’t…,” she argued, but I interrupted her.
“I don’t want to hear it, Amelia,” I said. “We are done. Stay the fuck away from my sister.”
I ended the call and slammed my fist against the kitchen island.
“She is an insane bitch,” Rhys mumbled angrily.
“Did you expect anything else?” Rory’s voice made me turn around abruptly.
Fuck.
My eyes widened when I saw her standing at the entrance to the kitchen, holding the tray in her hands.
“What did you hear?” Rhys mumbled quietly.
Rory sighed and walked to the kitchen counter. She put the tray down and looked at us.
“Everything,” she said. “But I wasn’t surprised. Did you really think that she would say something else?”
I tightened my jaw and looked at my phone. The bitch was calling me again. She sent five messages since I hung up on her.
“She is an insane bitch, Aurora,” Rhys said, placing his mug on the kitchen island.
Rory nodded and took a deep breath.
“You will press charges,” Rhys said, making her shake her head immediately.
“No,” she said. “I am not dealing with them. I am not dragging this out. I am not going to spend months sitting in a courtroom. I want to finish school in peace.”
Anger washed over me. Why did she have to be so damn stubborn?!
“Are you kidding me, Aurora?” Rhys sighed angrily. “Sebastian told me that you didn’t want to press charges, but I was kind of hoping that he misunderstood you. Are you serious right now?”
Rory sighed and leaned against the counter.
“I am serious, Rhys,” she said. “I am not pressing charges. I am not going to be questioned and examined again. I don’t want to talk about it again. I don’t want his lawyer to call me a liar and tell people that I made it all up.”
Rory stopped to take a deep breath.
“They are going to use that fake video to make a case about me being a whore and wanting Bruno to have sex with me,” she added, her voice breaking at the end. “I don’t want to go through that.”
I gulped and looked at Rhys. He was pissed.
“Let them, Aurora,” Rhys said angrily. “We know it’s not true. We can prove it. That video is clearly fake and we are going to prove to everyone that they are a bunch of liars. We are going to send them all to jail.”
Rory sighed and looked down at her feet.
“I can’t go through that, Rhys,” she mumbled. “I can’t sit there and watch that video. I can’t talk about what happened.”
She looked back up at us and shook her head.
“I don’t want them to examine me again,” she added quietly. “I don’t want them to touch me or take pictures of me or…”
Her voice broke and she stopped talking. I saw tears in her eyes and I wanted to tear the fucking kitchen apart.
“Princess,” Rhys mumbled as he approached her and pulled her into a hug. “I am so sorry it happened, Aurora. We should have taken better care of you. I should have stopped it.”
Rory shook her head and took a deep breath.
“It’s not your fault,” she said. “You didn’t know.”
I took a deep breath and approached them. I took Rory’s hand in mine and pulled her from Rhys. I wrapped my arms around her and took a deep breath. She didn’t hug me back, but I didn’t give a shit about that. I didn’t expect it anyway. She told me that she needed time and I was going to give her time. What I wasn’t going to do was leave her. I would hug her whenever I got a chance to. I would hug her whenever I felt like she needed it.
“I know it sucks, Rory,” I said, trying to remain calm. “I know it won’t be easy, but you can’t let them get away with it. They could try to hurt you again. They could try to hurt someone else. We can’t let them get away with it, Rory. They are clearly insane and we need to make sure that they pay for what they’ve done.”
I kissed the top of her head and rubbed her back.
“Rhys and I will be there for you every step of the way,” I said. “You are not alone, Rory. We will be in the exam room, we will be in the courtroom. We will never leave your side.”
She sniffled and I placed another kiss on the top of her head.
“I know it’s not an easy decision,” I added softly. “You don’t have to make it now. Sleep on it and we can talk about it again tomorrow.”
I looked at Rhys and he gave me a small nod.
“Do we have a deal?” I asked, looking down at her.
She wiped her cheeks and gave me a small nod.
“Good,” I said, leaning in and kissing her temple. “Go to sleep, okay? You need it.”
I could see how tired she was.
She nodded again and Rhys pulled her from me.
“Good night, princess,” he said as he kissed her forehead. “I will see you in the morning.”
Rory looked at me and I gave her a small smile.
“Good night, Rory,” I said softly.
“Good night, Sebastian,” she mumbled and started walking out of the kitchen.
Rhys and I kept our eyes on her until she walked out of the kitchen.
My phone rang again and I grabbed it. I wanted to smash it against the counter, but I didn’t want Rory to hear it and get upset. I ended the call, took out my SIM card, and broke it in half.
“Smart,” Rhys mumbled. “Let the bitch know you are serious about not wanting to talk to her.”
I looked at him and tightened my jaw.
“Oh, I am serious about so much more,” I said. “I will make sure she pays for what she has done.”
No one touched my sister. No one hurt my sister. I would make them all suffer. I would make them all pay.
