"Hey Lilly, for the ski trip do you think we get could share a room?" I ask as we are hanging out because our mothers are hanging out.
"I don't think we get to pick." She giggles as she texts on her phone.
"Who are you texting?" I ask.
"Janet."
"Lilly why are you friends with her?"
"She's nice."
"She fucking assaulted Arlo, and then fucking left Eva fucking naked!"
"There's no need to be such a bitch Nellie."
"There's no need to be friends with an assaulter."
She stared at me with anger.
I don't back down.
What she's doing isn't okay.
"Fuck you." She sneers and walks out of my bedroom downstairs.
I hear words between our mothers whispered and the front door close.
I continue folding my clothes and packing them in my suitcase for the school trip.
My mum comes in, my step-dad trailing behind.
I begin to wonder where Oakley is. I wish he was here to back me up.
I stand up and i feel my body shake. I'm so stressed. I know my blood sugar is high, i know the feeling.
"Sit down, honey." My mum says.
I sit down in the bed and wipe my tears. I don't even know why i'm crying.
I feel so sick.
"What's happened between you and Lilly?" My step-dad says, "You've been best friends forever." He hasn't even known me forever.
"She's hanging out with a stupid bitch girl."
They nod with concerned faces.
"Do you really wanna go on the trip?" My mum asks.
"Yes, i do."
I promised Henry I'd go, so i'll go.

The plane ride was long and tiring. Arlo got lost in the airport looking at food, i got patted down by the cops for no reason and it's a lot.
But as soon as we reach the place we are staying at, it's beautiful.
We are staying in a hotel right next to the ski slopes and it's amazing.
"Okay, everyone gather round, and i'll tell you who your room partner is for the week."
She begins reading, i don't really listen. But there is two names that catch my attention.
"Janet and Lilly."
They both squeal and hug eachother.
"Eva and Nellie."
I smile. That's good!
"Oakley and Cora."
"How did they get together?" Hayden scoffs as they walk off together.
Me and Eva grab our things.
"Henry and Arlo." Is what i hear before the elevator door closes.
Eva and i settle into the bedroom, it's only got one bed, but that's okay.
We lay down and watch tv.
"How's things with Henry?" She smiles teasingly.
"Good." I try not to blush.
"He's so into you."
I giggle unable to stop the butterflies in my belly.
The door to the room opens and Arlo comes bouncing over like a puppy and jumps on top of his girlfriend.
"Hi baby." He snuggles his head into her neck.
Eva blushes and wraps her arms around him.
"Nels," Arlo says, "Can we swap rooms?"
"But that means i have to share a bed with Henry!"
"You'll both love it," He smiles, "Last year we went to Miami, and we shared a room and it was the bessssttt."
"I don't know." I chew on my bottom lip.
I watch as Arlo kisses Eva's neck and she blushes smiling.
They probably want to spend the ski trip together.
I mean, sharing with Henry won't be that bad.
"We can swap rooms." I sit up and get my suitcase.
"Are you sure?" Arlo mumbles getting up.
I smile and nod, "Yeah."
Arlo shows me the way to his room and we go in.
Henry is laying on the bed, shirtless, only in grey sweatpants as he's propped up against the headboard.
What if he isn't okay with this? I didn't even ask.
He looks at me and smiles softly.
"We're swapping rooms." Arlo says and grabs his suitcase.
Arlo and Henry dab up, whisper a few words.
Arlo comes to me and gives me a hug before leaving.
I stand in the room awkwardly.
Henry doesn't seem bothered, he just focuses on the tv.
"Is it okay if we share a bed?" I ask tenderly.
He freezes for a moment and his eyes turn icy before melting and he goes back to normal.
"Yeah that's fine." He nods.
"Okay." I smile softly.
I go into the bathroom and get changed into my pyjamas, making sure i'm warm in the cold.

I come out the bathroom and Henry looks at me.
A beautiful smile spreads his lips, "You look like a polar bear."
I giggle and slide under the covers, "You've spent too much time with Arlo."
I roll onto my side and curl into a ball.
Henry is watching the tv which plays, 'Shrek'
I watch him. His perfect jawline, fluffy brunette hair, glasses. He's so beautiful.
My eyes slowly flutter closed, i'm so tired.
I feel Henry's hand softly brush the hair off of my face, "Goodnight, Nels."
I smile, "Goodnig-"
My phone buzzes and i groan, picking it up seeing a message from mum reminding me to do my insulin.
I slowly get out of bed and go to my suitcase and pull out my medical bag.
"What's wrong?" Henry asks softly.
"Nothing." I turn around clutching my medical bag.
I move quickly to the bathroom and shut and lock the door.
I get out all of the things i need, and prepare to inject myself.
I hate this, i hate it so much.
Why can't i just be normal? Why can't my body just do it's job?
No matter how many times a day i do this, no matter how long i do it for.
It still hurts.
It hurts my head, it hurts.
I raise my shirt and slowly poke the needle into my stomach, i leave it in for a few seconds before pulling it out.
It's so embarrassing living this way.
I sniffle packing up my things as my mind wonders.
I open the door and put my medical bag inside my suit case and go back to the bed.
Henry blinks slowly at me as he's laying under the covers all snuggled up.
I lay down on my side again.
He combs his fingers through my hair, softly touching it.
I let my eyes fall closed, my entire body relaxing.
I want to be close to him. I want to hold him all night.
I reach my hand out and place it on his abs.
Holy shit.
His muscles tense for a moment, before his body relaxes. He rolls over and he scoops me up, pulling me close.
I wrap my arms around his neck and swing a leg over his waist. One of his hands cradles my head against his chest, the other rubbing my back.
I feel so safe, so warm, so comfortable.
"Goodnight, Henry." I run my hand in his hair.
"Goodnight, sweetheart."
My heart flutters and butterflies flow in my blood.
I take a deep breathe and cuddle to him closer, allowing myself to fall asleep.
