Lets get into it
(3rd Person POV)
In a large room filled with people who are all waiting with excitement for the final round of the tournament to determine which realm will win this year. Children are running around food is being passed out and dancers are in the middle of the room putting on a show until it is time for the main event.
We see Sindel sitting on her throne with her daughters sitting beside her. She then stands up and instantly all eyes are on her everyone giving her their full attention.
Sindel: I would just like to say thank you to the Earthrealmers you have truly been great guests and I would like to congratulate you on your strength. I would also like to thank Liu Kang for years you have been a great friend and ally to Outworld helping whenever needed and I truly appreciate that.
She gives a slight bow directed to Liu Kang who gives one back
Sindel: Now without further ado let the final match of the tournament begin.
Y/N then walks in the room with a sword in his hand. Surprisingly there are people besides Mileena and the rest of Earthrealms champions that cheer for him mostly because during the weeks he has been in Outworld pretty much all of Sun Do knows about him and I think you know why
Then General Shao enters and everyone erupts in cheers when they see him walk into the room confidently with his Axe in hand and mask on his face
Sindel: Victor of the Tervarian War. Conqueror of the Kuatan Plains. Defender of the Navala Coast. As has his family for generations, General Shao defends us with zeal and tenacity. All of Outworld is grateful for is service.
Y/N: I swear everyone here is the perfect wingman.
General Shao then arrives in front of Y/N and looks down at him with a stone face
Y/N: That is a very impressive resume you got there General all I got is that one time I landed a kickflip.
General Shao: Is nonsense all you spout Earthrealmer?
Y/N: I perfer the word buffoonery.
Y/N then looks over in the direction of Mileena and smiles before yelling out
Y/N: High baby after this is over I wanna go out.
Mileena then blushes and then smiles before giving him a slight wave
Johnny Cage: Still don't know how he did it.
Kitana: You've certainty gotten yourself a lively one haven't you sister?
Sindel: Enough Y/N are you ready?
Y/N: Yes Your Majesty.
Y/N then gets in his stance focusing both his mind and body he knows he cant play around too much during this fight like he usually does
Sindel: General Shao are you ready?
General Shao: I am always ready.
A bunch of musicians holding drums come out and kneel down surrounding the area around the two fighters and start playing them intensifying the mood that has already been set
Y/N: NAHHHHHHH y'all gave me a beat to fight to.
Sindel: FIGHT!
Immediately the two charge towards eachother weapons ready to strike but their strength forces them to bounce off each other. General Shao swings his axe at Y/N but the attack is blocked. Y/N smiles at the general but all he gets back in return is a growl before being spartan kicked in the stomach sending him backwards be he does a back handspring to catch himself. He then sees that General Shao has jumped in the air axe overhead charging a red and black energy ready to bring it down on Y/N.
Y/N's eyes then turn red and he coats his sword in Busoshoku haki but it's different this time. This time the haki is emitting a mixture of red and black crackles of lighting. He then swings it at General Shao both attacks connecting with each other just like the last time both of them looking each other in the eye Y/N with a still present smile on his face while General Shao is mean mugging him.
Y/N: Whyyyyyyyy so serious?
General Shao: Spare me your jokes Earthrealmer.
Y/N then breaks the clash by putting more strength into his swing and breaking General Shao's guard. He then dashes towards Shao and punches him in his rib cage making him grit his teeth and then follows it up with a overhead slash. But Shao sidesteps getting out of the way out of the way and shoulder charging Y/N. General Shao then slams his axe down and runs to Y/N throwing a left hook then a right hook ending it with a devastating haymaker dropping Y/N to the ground face first.
The crowd cheers on in excitement just from the opening they sure are getting an action filled final round as they hoped as there was no dull moment in that first round
General Shao: Get up we are not done yet.
Y/N: Jeez can you give me a chance to I'm pretty sure you just gave me a concussion.
Y/N then picks his sword off the ground and stands up. Once again his eyes then turn red and he coats his sword in the lightning emitting Busoshoku haki and winds his arm back
Y/N: Hopefully this dosen't blow my arm off.
Shao then gets his guard up knowing something big is coming.
The two fighters once again run towards each other weapons in hand ready to strike as they enter into a clash each swing much stronger than the last. Y/N tries to cut Shao on his leg but it is blocked by his axe General Shao then goes on the offensive and then raises his axe over head before slamming it down onto Y/N forcing him to his knees while blocking.
Shao then gives Y/N a sinister grin watching the Earthrealmer struggle to protect himself.
General Shao: Hahahaha what's wrong it seems you were all bark and no bite.
Y/N who is still struggling just looks at Shao and starts to laugh before saying
Y/N: HAHAHAHA oh I got plenty of bite I just needed to charge this up for a bit.
Suddenly the small crackles that were emiting from Y/N's sword intensify into a flurry of bolts surrounding the two.
Raiden: What is the lightning coming from his sword Lord Liu Kang.
Liu Kang: As I said before Haki comes in a variety of different forms. The lightning comes from Y/N's Conqueror's Haki and unlike the other forms of Haki it cannot be taught it can only be obtained if you were born with it.
Johnny Cage: What does it do?
Liu Kang: It gives the user the ability to impose their willpower on others. But as your about to see Y/N is able to use it in a way that goes beyond it's regular capabilities.
At first the General is confused at what is going on but he has no time to process the confusion because Y/N manages to put up a room and switch places with him. General Shao is about to swing his axe at Y/N but he gets punched in the face causing him to stumble back
He then shakes his head to get rid of the dizziness and when he does he sees Y/N with a giant smile on his face swinging his arm forward
Y/N: KAMASURI!!!!
When he swings his arm forward and out comes black and red projectile towards General Shao.
The General quickly ready's his axe to block the attack. The slash makes contact with the General who is trying to block it but he is unable to and it hits him directly in the stomach making him fly into a pillar before dropping to the ground.
Once again the crowd cheers at the display that they witnessed the ending of this years tournament proving to be better than the previous years. General Shao then gets up holding his ribs and coughing a bit from the damage that he took from the attack.
Y/N: Ok can't do that again it broke the sword.
Y/N then throws what's left of his sword away and covers his fists in Buso Haki before getting into a fighting stance. General Shao then looks at his axe and sees that it has broke into two pieces making him growl in anger. How dare the Earthrealmer break his axe he then yells out and runs towards Y/N who does the same but you know minus the anger.
Shao throws a punch that Y/N ducks under before delivering a kick to the General's leg dropping him down to one knee. He then throws out an elbow which ends up getting grabbed by Shao he then tries hitting him with his palm but that too gets grabbed by the General.
Y/N: You wanna talk about it?
General Shao: No.
Y/N: Fair enough.
Y/N then shocks Shao and seizing the opportunity he created jumps into the air and kicks Shao in the chest with both of his feet allowing him to get out of the grab.
Y/N: ROOM!
The arena is then covered by the room. Y/N then points his finger up and makes the ground underneath General Shao form into a spike but the General is able to move out of the way which is what Y/N wanted him to do.
Y/N: Shambles.
He then switches places with some debris landing on Shao's shoulders and charges his hand with some electricity
Y/N: When I say hey you say argh. HEY!!!!
He then shocks the General
General Shao: ARGH!!!
Y/N: HEYYYYYY!!!
Y/N once again shocks him
General Shao: ARGGGGGGH!!!!!
Y/N then jumps off of his shoulders and lands Infront of a dazed Shao before kicking him in the face with a precise kick knocking him to the ground making the score 1 to 2
Y/N: Your Majesty I do not think he can continue.
Sindel: As much as I agree with you the rules of Mortal Kombat are clear you must either score 3 points, knock him out or force him to tap out.
Y/N: I see.
General Shao then gets up once again he is still dazed he wasn't expecting Y/N to be so powerful he was too arrogant and he knows it and now he is paying the price. He sees Y/N running up to him and despite being too dazed to see straight he puts up his guard one final time. He then throws a sloppy punch filled with openings which is countered by the Earthrealmer leading to a punch to the ribs causing the General to hunch over before getting kneed right in the chin sending him flying onto his back.
The crowd is silent for a moment before erupting into cheer they don't care that their realm lost they got to witness the conclusion of the tournament and that was enough for them.
Sindel then gets up from her seat and walks towards Y/N
Sindel: Y/N L/N you have demonstrated great strength within your short appearance in the tournament and it is my honor to announce you as this years Mortal Kombat Winner!
Y/N: Thank you Empress Sindel. Hey can I call you ma yet?
Sindel: Are we really having this conversation again? (sigh) Fine.
Y/N: YES!
Sindel just smiles at his chlid like behavior and then walks away. Mileena was right after a while you just knda look past it
The cheers grow even louder and louder. Y/N then walks over to the rest of the Earthrealm crew.
Johnny Cage: Way to go kid I got all of that on tape this movie is gonna be insane.
Y/N: I want the guy who played Shang Chi to play my character.
Johnny Cage: Done.
Raiden: Congratulations Y/N.
Raiden then bows and Y/N returns the favor
Kenshi: Good job Y/N.
Kung Lao: Haha you sure did lay one on him good job shortstack.
Y/N: You know I'm startin to get sick of people calling out my height.
Liu Kang: Well done you all have exceeded my greatest expectations.
they then all give Liu Kang a bow
Y/N: Thank you Lord Liu Kang.
Liu Kang: Because of you the Outworlders who would destroy the peace will once again be held at bay. Come let us bid our hosts farewell and return to Earthrealm.
Y/N: Haha yea about that Liu Kang (coughs)
The Fire God just smiles at the young man before cutting him off
Liu Kang: You can stay Y/N.
Y/N: You serious?
Liu Kang: As I said before Y/N I have been watching you and I can tell that you truly do enjoy this place and it is not just Princess Mileena that makes you love it here so much.
(Timeskip)
It has been a few months since the tournament ended and everything has been going great Y/N and Mileena's relationship only got stronger truly cementing themselves as a power couple. The people of Sun Do loved it Y/N was regularly seen interacting with them engaging in their culture and always being willing to help whenever. Inside the Palace everyone loved Y/N he brought a joy to it that had long since disappeared when Jerrod died And Sindel sees him as the son she never had and Kitana sees him as her brother. He has also been doing developing a cure for the Tarkatan disease in secret and while his powers are able to speed up the process he needs a bit more time before it's finished.
He has also noticed three things one being that lately Mileena has been having some pretty bad headaches and seizures. He suspects it is the Tarkatan disease but whenever he asks her she says it's nothing.
And two there is a man named Shang Tsung who is in Sindel's court and while he can't figure out what something about the man makes his senses go crazy.
And the third and final thing and by far the most bizarre is something about Liu Kang wanting to invade Outworld. He highly doubts that is true but on the off chance it's true he will not hesitate to protect the family he has obtained.
Mileena: My love why must you complain about this so much?
Y/N: Because I don't wanna go talk about a bunch of boring politics. Plus they don't even like me being there I believe their exact words were " An Earthrealmer has no place in an imperial meeting"
He was right while there are people who support their relationship and see it as the start of Earthrealm and Outworld citizens co-existing with each other. There were also people that don't and found it wrong for an Earthrealmer to be in a relationship with an Outworlder let alone the future Empress. And while the two of them try not to pay any attention to the hate they face sometimes it does get to them like now
He then walks towards her and wraps his arms around her waist giving her a gentle kiss which she returns
Y/N: Can't we just stay home and watch a movie I've been meaning to show you the Kill bill movies?
Mileena smiles and caresses his cheek
Mileena: Darling while I would love to we cannot this is important and I know that they do not support us but I promise that will all change eventually they just need more time. Now please go get ready and when we get back we can do whatever you want.
Y/N: You know that really shouldn't work but fine. Plus if they say anything snotty I can always make it rain feces on them like last time hehehe.
Mileena: Please do not do that again it smelt really bad and I was in a meeting with them for hours trying to quell their rage.
Y/N just walks off with a smile on his face not responding to his lover
(Now lets what Liu Kang is up to shall we)
Liu Kang is sitting in front of a fire while meditating when suddenly a small tornado of sand appears in the room and a man with brown skin and glowing blue eyes comes out of it
Liu Kang: Geras, my old friend. It's been eons. It's good to see you.
Geras: Likewise, Lord Liu Kang. I have watched you with the Hourglass. You are relishing your role as Earthrealm's protector.
Liu Kang: It suits me far better than being Keeper of Time ever did. I never wanted to replace Kronika. Being history's architect drove her mad. I had no wish to share her fate. Which is why I am forever grateful that you volunteered to safeguard the Hourglass.
Geras then nods at him as if to say your welcome
Liu Kang: Despite my having relinquished its power, the new era has unfolded as it should.
Geras: You created me in your own image. Duty is my calling.
Liu Kang: While I am happy that you are here you are not one for social calls. Is there trouble with the Hourglass?
Geras: With something it has shown me.
Liu Kang looks on in confusion as Gera continues
Geras: When you restarted history, you altered the destinies of certain malefactors to neutralize them. At least one of them is defying that destiny.
Geras then looks at the Fire God and the air around them gets tense when he says
Geras: Shang Tsung.
Liu Kang's face instantly turns to one of displeasure at the mention of the name
Liu Kang: Go on.
Geras: He has escaped his meaningless life and is on his way to becoming a powerful sorcerer. He has already infiltrated Sindel's court.
Liu Kang has worry in his eyes thinking about all the bad that can come from that
Liu Kang: I saw no sign of him during the tournament. But if that snake is in Sindel's ear-
Geras: Your vision of peace may already be compromised.
Liu Kang: I appreciate the warning Geras. I will investigate. Please return to the Hourglass and see what else you can learn.
Now lets timeskip to the next day with Mileena and Y/N on a date laying down on a blanket when Y/N notices a look of pain on her face
Y/N: What's wrong my love you have had a pained expression since we left. Is it your head again?
Mileena: Yes but it is fine it will go away in a bit.
Y/N: No we are going home if it is bothering you this mu-
Mileena: I SAID IT WAS NOTHING!!!!!! ARGGGGH!!!
Mileena then grabs her head before falling to the ground and she starts to seizure causing Y/N gain a look of shock. Y/N then gets up and goes to her trying to check if she is ok
Y/N: Mileena what's wrong come on talk to me.
Mileena continues to seizure before letting out a bloodcurdling scream. Her lips suddenly start to erode away and her teeth sharpen her eyes then turn cat like with a red outline and she punches Y/N away before getting up and hissing at him as the bottom corners of her mouth open up.
She then starts to walk towards Y/N as he backs up with every step she takes trying to calm her down
Y/N: Baby I know what this is and I know what to do to help but I need you to calm down first.
Mileena then jumps into the air and her nails sharpen like razors as she tries to cut him but he evades all of her attempts
Mileena: If you truly want to help me then you should just let me feast on you my love. Think about how sweet it will be when I like your blood off my fingers.
Y/N: Pls don't make me do this darling.
Y/N then puts a room around them and Mileena hisses at him once more. He then picks up a some of the food that he and Mileena were eating. She then jumps at him with the intent to kill and he throws the food past her before switching places with it appearing behind her.
Y/N: I promise this will only hurt for a bit.
Mileena then turns around ready to slash him with her newly aquired claws but as soon as she does she feels a surge of electricity course through her knocking her unconscious. Y/N then catches her before she hits the ground
Y/N: Why didn't you tell me why didn't you tell me.
Y/N then starts making his way back to the palace carrying her in his arms
When he arrives in at the palace he calls out for Tanya to go and get Kitana and Sindel while he takes her to her room. When Sindel and Kitana arrive he instantly questions the two of them.
Y/N: How long has she had it?
Sindel looks at her daughter laid in her bed unconscious knowing exactly what he is asking
Sindel: Since you got here.
Y/N: So she has had it for months and even now refused to tell me!
Kitana: Y/N surely you have seen how people with the disease are treated she didn't want you to see her as a monster.
Y/N: I could have helped I could have stopped it from getting this far. I have been devleoping a cure for it and it isn't ready yet but if I knew about it months ago it could be done and her and anyone else with it could have been cured.
Sindel: I know you are upset but it is ok we have been able to keep her from progressing as fast as usual with some help from Shang Tsung.
Y/N frowns at first hearing the name and while he dosen't trust Shang Tsung at all he has no other option plus whatever he is doing is working to some degree because from what he has heard usually the Tarkan disease is more active than it is in Mileena.
Sindel: I will have Tanya and Rain take her to his lab for treatment do you want to go?
While Y/N does want to go he trusts Tanya and Rain to take of her. So he says no and walks to the medical center within the palace ready to put all his time and effort into finishing the cure.
