INTO THE WOODS

━━━━━ ⋆⋅♥︎⋅⋆ ━━━━━

Everyone sat tiredly in the chairs of the assembly hall, as Alaric and Caroline both stood behind the podium. The headmaster and headmistress knew with summer break, the majority of their students had been staying up late or pulling all-nighters so to have them up so early for an assembly was pretty evil.

Caroline was trying to bite back a laugh, knowing their announcement was probably going to annoy a lot of the students... but she thought it was a great idea for the students to bond.

"Good morning, Alaric has organised for everybody to go on a camping trip." Caroline spoke and as expected there were many tired grumbles. "Consent forms have already been signed by parents, so you'll be leaving this afternoon. Make sure to pack enough clothes because you'll be out in the woods for three days."

Alaric moved to talk now, "We'll be back at the school in time before the full moon, before any werewolves ask. Some new students starting after the break have been welcomed to join us, as a way to meet people before the start of the school year... so make them feel welcome."

With that, the assembly was dismissed. "I have never been camping before in my life." Olivia was the first to admit, as Myrical seemed surprised. Before the Benning could comment, Rafael and Landon were getting excited. "Yes! I love camping!" Rafael said happily as Landon agreed.

Meanwhile Lizzie and Lucas shared looks of pure disgust. Josie broke the silence, "We've never been camping." She realised before Lizzie replied, "That's because camping soo out dated, and Mum would agree." Lucas agreed before he added, "Yeah... this has to be one of Alaric's terrible ideas."

Meanwhile Charlie made a beeline for Caroline as he needed to speak to her. The blonde was surprised by the urgency on her sons face as he approached her. "Mum, we need to talk. Somewhere very private though." The younger Salvatore insisted, as the blonde's expression turned into worry.

"Okay honey. We'll go to my office." Caroline suggested, as Charlie gave a nod before they began to walk to Caroline and Alaric's shared office.

Charlie closed the door behind them before he turned to his mother. "Nobody will be able to hear us here, including other vampires?" He asked Caroline as the older Salvatore nodded.

"Ever since your sisters and Landon overheard Alaric and I fighting over what we should do with the Auclair students after Kiara died, we decided to have the office spelled so that nobody could listen in." Caroline reassured him, with a smile.

"Okay, well you have to promise me that you won't tell Alaric... because what I'm about to tell you is about an Auclair student and he loves to treat us harsher than the other Salvatore students." Charlie rambled on as Caroline nodded. "Char, I promise I won't tell your stepdad."

Charlie gave a nod, though he still seemed reluctant. He didn't want this to backfire in a bad way. Caroline was patient though, and made sure he wasn't feeling rushed to talk.

"It's about Niko." Charlie began. "He's been drinking excessively. I thought it was only mild but I was playing around with my football and it rolled under his bed... so I went to grab it and I found a stash of spirit bottles under there." The Salvatore added.

"I think he needs help. They're not doing well after Laura's death and has been shutting us all out... and now he's drinking a lot." Charlie continued to ramble, clearly concerned for his roommate.

"Okay, thank you for telling me. I'll see what I can do to help them, without Alaric knowing." Caroline decided as Charlie's expression turned relieved. "Thank you Mum."

"Now I have to ask... why are we going camping? You've never taken us camping in our lives." Charlie blurted out, which caused Caroline to laugh. "I know. It was Alaric's idea... and I think it could be a nice way to get everyone to bond, especially with the new kids."

"I guess so. I should go and pack." The vampire decided, though even then he wasn't sure what to pack really.

━━━━━ ⋆⋅♥︎⋅⋆ ━━━━━

The afternoon rolled around and the Salvatore students all lugged their bags to the bus outside the school. Alaric opened the compartments under the bus and started to pack everything inside as each student handed him their luggage one by one. In the unopened compartment were the tents and cooking equipment everyone would use.

"Aphrodite... why does this bag weigh a tonne of bricks?" Alaric asked, as the redhead heretic had just handed over her bag. Aphie shrugged innocently, "I just packed the essentials." She replied as Alaric didn't seem convinced, though he still placed the bag inside the compartment.

"Dad, why the hell are we going camping? It's not the 80's or something." Lizzie complained as Lucas agreed before he added, "Have you not heard of the Backpack murderer, from the movie Wolf Creek— which is based on an actual murderer?" Alaric sighed before he responded to his son, "I have and he was a murderer in Australia, I believe. We live in the United States."

"We could still have Backpack murderers here! Wolf Creek could easily be re-enacted in the US!" Lucas insisted, hoping that Alaric will change his mind. "I'm sure a school of students with magical powers and super strength can fight off a serial killer." The headmaster responded before Beau stepped into view and placed his hand on Luca's shoulder, "What if a Backpack murderer took Tori?" He asked in a state of worry.

"A Backpack murderer did not take Victoria." Alaric responded, already seeming fed up with the students. "Well, we don't know that." Glen piped up, as himself and Charlie entered the conversation now. "We should be looking for her." Charlie added in annoyance as Alaric looked fed up.

"We have tried and failed to locate Tori, which makes me think she has probably turned off her humanity and gone awol." Alaric decided to air his own theory, causing Aphrodite to re-enter the conversation. "Would that not be more of a reason to continue the search parties? If she has her humanity off again, she could be putting others in danger."

"She didn't turn off her humanity." Clary grumbled to the group, "I told you guys, she called me and it sounded like somebody was after her." She reminded them as everyone looked blankly at Alaric, waiting for him to have some sort of response lined up. "We can't do anything if she is cloaked in magic." Alaric reminded them before he asked Carice, "Where are your bags?"

"Do you seriously expect me to go on some camping trip while my girlfriend is in trouble? I'm not going camping because I'm going to find her." The Bailey decided as Alaric frowned, "This camping trip is mandatory with few exceptions. If you don't come, you will be expelled... I'm sure you'd love to attend a normal school where you return home every night to your mother you so clearly love." The Saltzman snarked as Clary looked ready to explode.

"I'll help her pack." Olivia quickly said, giving Clary a look as if to say please obey. The Bailey scoffed before she walked away, as Olivia walked with her.

"You're being ridiculous." Aphrodite said to Alaric, causing him to look surprised. "Me? Ridiculous? I'm trying to give my students a short vacation and a chance to bond." He responded as Aphrodite frowned, "While one of our own is missing? Tell me we wouldn't be searching every part of the States if it was a Salvatore student and not an Auclair student." The De Martel challenged as Lizzie looked blankly at her father, awaiting a response.

"There are no Auclair students, we're one school now remember?" MG suddenly appeared, trying to take the heat away from his headmaster. "Yeah whatever, teacher's pet." Beau snarked as everyone dispersed. Alaric seemed relieved and gave MG a thankful look.

━━━━━ ⋆⋅♥︎⋅⋆ ━━━━━

"Why the hell did you kidnap me?" Tori asked confusedly, as she walked alongside Faith now. "I didn't exactly want to make a scene meeting you at your school... since I'm known to be a great evil and all." The older Mikealson spoke.

Tori didn't seem convinced.

"Hey." Ezra's voice greeted as he approached the pair now. Faith gave the Zhang a frown, as he was supposed to be watching the O'Connell-Mikealson when she tried to escape. Tori looked confusedly at the raven haired boy, "Who are you?" She asked as the Zhang's expression softened. "You really don't remember your good friend Ezra?"

"Nope. I'm kind of creeped out... I have no memories of either of you. I only remember Faith from a book in the school library." Victoria rambled before Faith said aloud the words to her own personal memory altering spell, making Tori remember everything about or involving herself and Ezra.

Tori froze for a moment, as hundreds of memories flashed before her eyes as she took a moment to process. "E..Ezra— I do know you." The Mikealson blurted out in realisation, as she remembered her family friend.

The blonde lurched forward to hug the taller male, as the vampire hugged her back. Faith seemed surprised by this interaction, though she felt uneasy with the idea that Ezra was more like family to Tori than Faith was.

"What's the real reason you kidnapped me?" Tori asked, once she pulled away from Ezra. "Because it seems weird that you'd drag me away from Mystic Falls to meet." The vampire added as Faith seemed impressed that Victoria was smarter than she'd expected.

"Because, I have a plan that I know you'd like to take part in." Faith shrugged knowingly as Tori raised an eyebrow. "What might that be?" She asked. "Breaking the curse placed on us, keeping our werewolf side locked away." Faith responded.

Victoria's eyes widened, "You can't shift into a wolf either?" She asked as Faith shook her head. "No, but it's everything I've ever wanted."

"I'm sure if we go back to the Salvatore school we ca—" Tori was cut off, "Victoria you naive fool, the Salvatore school want you to remain wolf-less. They wouldn't want a Mikealson to become so powerful." Faith responded as Tori frowned, remembering how the school was in turmoil with Olivia turning into a tribrid.

What the blonde hadn't realised, is that it had mostly blown over. Charlie, Lexi and Aphie were all helping Liv to hone her vampire abilities.

"So I can't go back?" Tori asked, realising that she wouldn't be able to see Carice, Beau or Lucas, and she knew they would be so worried about her.

"No, sister dearest. But it won't be long before you can return. We have to break the curse first." Faith said, as she lifted Tori's chin up with her hand to face her. Victoria looked at her older sister, seeming to feel mixed emotions about staying away from her loved ones although she wanted to desperately to turn into a werewolf.

"Can you... tell me more?" Victoria asked as Faith stepped away from the girl. "I will, but in due time. I have to meet somebody soon, but I can answer any of your questions once I come back." The tribrid assured her half sister.

The auburn haired girl then looked to Ezra. "Can I entrust you to actually babysit this time?" She asked, with obviously snarky undertones. "I'm not five yea—" Tori was spoken over as Ezra agreed, "It will be nice for us to catch up. The Zhang suggested.

━━━━━ ⋆⋅♥︎⋅⋆ ━━━━━

Carice grumbled to herself as she began to pack her bags, not seeming to have a care to fold anything as she did so. Liv cringed at the wrinkled clothing being shoved into a bag.

"Alaric is such a dickhead." Clary complained, feeling frustrated that she was being forced to camp when she could be doing something to help locate Tori. "He's definitely been more annoying lately." Liv had to agree.

"I just... I need to find her— or at least know that she's okay. On the phone call we had, it sounded like somebody grabbed her." Carice explained to her childhood friend. "I could do a spell, to try and find her." Olivia suggested, though the Bailey deadpanned her.

"It's useless. I already tried so many locator spells." She explained to the tribrid though Liv reminded her, "I use dark magic... it doesn't obey the laws of Earth magic at all. I'm sure I could find a spell in my Mum's grimoire." The Auclair suggested as Carice thought about it.

"No offence, but I wouldn't be surprised if your Mum's grimoire was full of tricks. She tended to use her magic for terrible things." Clary confessed, remembering what Kiara was like.

"She did... but a lot of her spells came from my Grandma and she was great." Olivia decided, although she had little memories of her grandmother Hiraya Auclair, she had shown the tribrid more affection and love than her birth mother ever had.

"Okay, well teach me the spell when you find it." Clary suggested, as she zipped up her bag. "What do you mean?" Olivia asked, as she raised an eyebrow. "I would be doing the spell." She added.

"Liv, I haven't seen you do a single spell since you turned into a tribrid." Carice began. "Well— you're not a dark witch. You don't want to become one, believe me." The Auclair responded, not denying Carice's accusation as it was true.

Since Olivia had turned into a vampire, she had been scared of using her magic. She had learnt through her dead ancestor that Auclair magic was dark magic, making her a dark witch and that everytime she used a spell she would be essentially filled with darkness. If she didn't let it out and it became too much, she would have dark episodes like when she had lashed out at Penelope.

She had managed it okay as a hybrid, but now being a vampire made everything feel different. The Auclair was still trying to adjust to it all, but she couldn't help but to worry that using her magic would be different now that she was a tribrid.

She knew it would only make things worse if she ignored her magic again, as she once had before Violetta helped her... but it seemed scary again.

As if Carice could read her mind, she suggested "You should start doing little spells and get back into the swing of using magic." Olivia frowned, wishing she wasn't so readable. "I'm serious, you don't want to have anymore of those dark episodes. Where are you going to go if Alaric decides to kick you to the curb?"

"He seems to want us gone... doesn't he?" Liv laughed nervously as Carice nodded, "Yeah no shit. It's been months but he still treats us Auclair students like we are rabid monsters."

Clary got to her feet and pulled her bag over her shoulder, "I'm legitimately going to turn into a rabid monster though if we find out Tori is indeed in trouble and Alaric has instead taken us to sit around a campfire and sing kumbaya."

"Yeah... I think the backlash he'd get for that would be very deserved." Olivia admitted, as she felt concerned for the blonde haired hybrid. "I should grab my grimoir—"

Clary slapped Liv's hands as the ravenette was moving towards the door. "You're not casting this big dark spell until I've seen you do some preschool level magic, got it?" The Bailey demanded before her expression softened, "Unless you'll allow me to do it."

"Yeah, not happening." Liv was adamant that she wasn't allowing Carice to turn herself into a dark witch. "Fine. You better give me your best preschool level spells while we're out in the middle of nowhere hopefully not re-enacting Wolf Creek."

Liv cringed at the movie mention, "Please don't put that idea into the universe." She said which caused Clary to snort in amusement at her disturbed expression, before the tribrid left the Bailey's dorm.

Clary stared at the door in which Liv had just exited out of, as she realised that the pair hadn't talked that much since they were kids, before Carice befriended Rachel.

The witch couldn't help but to wonder if Liv almost had some newfound confidence since turning, because she had struggled to ever keep conversations going beforehand with anybody that wasn't Aphrodite or Myrical.

The Bailey finally exited her dorm and made her way to the bus, finding everybody already standing around. Placing her bag in the pile of Alaric's "place onto the bus pile", she walked over to Josie and MG to join in on their conversation.

It was then Caroline approached Niko, "Hey Niko, may I talk to you for a moment?" She asked. Niko didn't verbally respond, but stepped away from Valerie, Jed and Glen to follow Caroline.

The psychic followed Caroline, as they stood on the other side of the bus now, away from others. The Shiratori wore a look of confusion as he noticed his bag was sitting on the ground.

"I didn't want to embarrass you in front of your peers, but I'm going to have ask that I do a bag check before you can board this bus." The Salvatore spoke as Niko raised an eyebrow before they let out a humourless laugh. "You're kidding, right?"

Caroline shook her head, "I'm not joking. We won't be able to let the bus leave until I have checked your bag." She declared as Niko looked fed up. The psychic rolled their eyes before they took a step back. "Fine. Be my guest." The Shiratori grumbled.

Caroline nodded and unzipped the bag as she began to check Niko's belongings, passing the usual clothes, toiletries and his magical ear muffs but stopped once she grabbed hold of a bottle.

The Salvatore made eye contact with Niko as she pulled a bottle of vodka out of their bag, followed by a bottle of whiskey. "No alcohol will be permitted on this camping trip... also, I don't think you need this much for a short trip." Niko frowned, "You're forcing us to go camping during our summer break, and we can't even have a drink? This is ridiculous." He spoke bitterly.

Caroline continued the bag check, only to find nothing else out of the ordinary. The Salvatore zipped up the bag and got to her feet, as she clutched the bottle of spirits. "Thank you for complying, but I'm going to have to confiscate these Niko."

"Whatever." Niko replied as Caroline walked away, assumably dropping the liquor in her office before returning to the bus. Niko sighed, wondering how suspicious he must have seemed for Caroline to pull him aside and conduct a bag check.

The Shiratori just felt relieved that he'd kept the hallucinative witch herbs on him, otherwise Caroline would have taken them away too. Niko just needed to survive three days without alcohol... which wouldn't be too hard if he hadn't been drinking himself silly every single day since the memorial.

The psychic was already becoming addicted, and he didn't know how he was going to survive the next couple of days. Begrudgingly, they walked around to find everybody waiting to board the bus.

"Okay, everyone get on and take a seat." Alaric insisted as everyone began to move. Aphrodite approached Niko with a smile, "Hey, would you like to sit with me on the bus?" The De Martel asked before she added in a sing-songy voice, "I brought snaaaacks."

Niko seemed a little amused, "Sure, Red." They responded, unaware that Aphrodite would do some light parental poking to check his wellbeing, where the psychic would do his best to hide how they were really feeling.

━━━━━ ⋆⋅♥︎⋅⋆ ━━━━━

While the Salvatore school bus was already en route, Caroline had the job of collecting the newly enrolled students as she needed signed consent forms from them. After collecting Ashley and Aaron Bennett from Bonnie's house as well as Casper and Wylan Olmo from Pietro's house, Caroline's next stop was at Elena and Damon's house to collect Lexi.

Stopping the van (yes, Alaric's van that is white as hell), the vampire was quick to make her way to the house but stopped as she could hear yelling, with her enhanced hearing. The Salvatore frowned before she walked up to the door and knocked loudly. Moments later the door swung open to reveal a pissed off Damon and an embarrassed Elena.

"Hey guys, I'm here to pick up Alexia." Caroline said as Damon glared, "You're just the person who has caused us to argue right now." The raven haired man complained as Caroline raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?" She asked. Elena opened her mouth to speak, as Lexi walked through the doorway carrying her bag. "Don't worry about it. Let's go." She grumbled, visibly annoyed.

The tension between the Salvatore household was uncomfortable as fuck, but Caroline didn't want to leave if her best friends weren't happy with her. "What is the issue here?"

"The issue, Caroline, is that you're trying to take my daughter away from me. She has no need to go to the Salvatore school when she's perfectly fine being at Mystic Falls high." Damon explained as Lexi turned around, "But I'm not fine being at Mystic Falls high! I want to transfer!" Lexi fired back.

"I think if Lexi wants to change schools and thinks she will do better elsewhere, then we should encourage her." Elena spoke up, as Caroline added, "Not to mention that she will be very well looked after at the Salvatore school. Most of her family are there."

"You're both unbelievable." Damon snapped, as he turned around to go further into the house, to discontinue their argument. "He can't even have a conversation without getting angry about it." Lexi grumbled annoyedly before Elena stepped out of the house to hug her daughter.

"Ignore him, he'll get over it. Have fun on your trip though, okay?" Elena insisted as Lexi hugged her mother back. "I will Mum, love you." Lexi replied as Elena added, "I love you more."

Once Elena went back inside, Lexi walked beside Caroline as they re-approached the van. The older Salvatore seemed stumped to why Damon was so angry about Lexi transferring schools... since Elena had signed the transfer forms upon Lexi pleading her case, all Damon could do was be mad about it.

"Are you okay?" Caroline asked Lexi as the brunette shook her head. "Dad has been driving me crazy lately... I don't know what's going on with him." The heretic complained as they got into the van.

Lexi made eye contact with Ashley and Aaron as the trio tried not to voice their distaste for eachother. Sure, they had tolerated eachother as Mystic Falls high students since they ended up in the same circle, but they were and always had been frenemies.

"Did you want to talk about it?" Caroline asked Lexi as she started up the van. Tearing her eyes away from the Bennett twins, Lexi shook her head. "Most definitely not. I would like a drink but you prohibited alcohol... which is dumb by the way, we're going camping and we can't have a drink around the fire??"

Caroline looked as though she'd heard it all already. "Alright, we have one more stop and then we're going to head to the campsite." She announced, as they were now heading to a busstop in the centre of town, to collect the students who had travelled from afar.

"Wait, Aunt Caroline could I have the aux?" Aaron suddenly asked as both Ashley and Lexi sighed knowingly in unison. "You better not play trash." Wylan spoke up as Aaron had to bite back a grin.

"Yeah of course." Caroline handed the aux cord, and Aaron indeed continued to play trash for the next seven minutes as Caroline drove to the central bus stop. Ashley, Lexi, Casper and Wylan all looked unamused while Aaron was having the time of his life.

Now reaching the bus stop, the students looked outside as their eyes landed on the group that we're waiting together, which consisted of Corentin Claire, Dante Rosza, Veronica Mikealson, Ezekiel Mikealson-Lockwood and Bellamy Mikealson-Lockwood who had all traveled together from New Orleans, as well as Cleo Sowande and Eden Winslow who came from other places.

"Oh god. More Mikealsons." Aaron muttered under his breath as Ashley nudged him for being rude. "Ssh." She quickly demanded.

Caroline had gotten out of the vehicle and opened the side of the van for the students, as Dante decided to speak his mind. "Ms Salvatore... this van is very white of you." Corentin tried to stifle a laugh, as Veronica just eyed him and the Rosza boy.

Caroline awkwardly chuckled, not knowing how to respond to that. "It's my baby daddy's van. In any other case I wouldn't be caught dead driving this thing." She answered honestly as Ashley and Lexi both wore looks of surprise while Aaron couldn't help but to break into laughter. At the thought of Caroline and Alaric ever being together (even though they technically weren't), Lexi and Ashley both cringed hard.

While Dante, Corentin, Cleo and Veronica piled their bags into the bag of the van before entering the cab part itself, Eden didn't move. The Winslow glanced at the Mikealson-Lockwood twins before she said quietly, "Hasn't anybody ever told them not to jump into a strange white van?" Ezekiel couldn't help but to chuckle at that, and Bellamy was even slightly amused though she didn't dare to show it.

Impatiently, Lexi turned around to the trio, "Come on, we have places to be." She demanded, as Ashley felt relieved that someone had spoken up. Ezekiel and Bellamy then piled their bags into the back at Eden cautiously followed suit, before the trio piled into the van, making it officially at full capacity.

Caroline got back into the driver seat after closing the back of the van, and smiled in the rear view mirror as she realised they were going to have a lot of new students, and Alaric could finally leave Lucas alone.

Faith looked around before she approached the Diamond mansion, knocking loudly on the door. She knocked again as she didn't hear an answer, and eventually the door opened to reveal a middle aged lady.

"Hello?" The lady asked as Faith locked eyes with her, and realised by her attire that she was housekeeping. "I'm looking for Rachel Diamond." Faith ordered as the lady replied, "Rachel has gone to grab lunch."

"Okay. Thanks." Faith said, as she turned to leave. She made it into the centre of town quickly, and realised that there really wasn't a lot of places to eat. This lead her easily to the Mystic Grill, where she found Rachel waiting around for her order to be done.

Faith approached Rachel, but not before casting an illusion spell so that if the tribrid got violent, any bystanders would see a different scene.

"Are you Rachel?" Faith asked, as the blonde got to her feet and faced the Mikaelson. "Depends on who is asking." The Diamond decided, although that made her answer obvious.

"Take a seat. You and I need to talk." Faith declared as Rachel seemed amused, "I need to talk to you? Yeah, not happening. I'm about to grab my lunch and leave." Rachel insisted though before she could say anything else, Faith had quite literally shoved her into a chair using her enhanced speed and strength.

"Jesus. You must not have a lot of friends." Rachel spoke once she sat upright in the chair. "I take it neither do you... although I learnt very quickly that you're the town's main gossiper. I need intel on Mystic Falls."

Rachel scoffed, "I don't need to tell you anything." She decided, before Faith swiftly pulled a wooden stake out of her jacket pocket and stabbed it through Rachel's hand, which went into the table. The vampire cried out in pain, and looked around in surprise that nobody else had reacted.

"Nobody can see past my illusion." Faith answered to her confused look, as the blonde looked at the tribrid with an expression of distress. "Who the hell are you?" She demanded.

"Your worst nightmare if you don't cooperate." Faith decided before she tilted her head. "For the IT girl of Mystic Falls, you're underwhelming. But I'm sure I can get what I need from you."

Rachel parted her lips to respond, but Faith didn't give her the chance. "I need to know what threats lie in Mystic Falls." The Mikealson demanded. Rachel scoffed, "Unless you count Valerie's tacky shoes as a threat, I think you'll be fine." She decided as Faith clearly didn't know who Valerie was.

"No... pesky tribrids?" Faith asked, testing whether or not Rachel could remember Hope. "Not unless you count Olivia... but I doubt she'll be a good vampire." Rachel trailed off as Faith raised an eyebrow.

"Olivia?" The tribrid questioned, having not heard of another fully activated tribrid. Rachel nodded, "She died on Founder's day, apparently she's been meek ever since... probably ashamed of herself and honestly as she should be." The Diamond shrugged.

Faith thought about it. Olivia could be a threat to her, if she was the only other fully activated tribrid to exist. "How did this Olivia turn into a tribrid?"

"I feel like it doesn't take a genius to figure that out." Rachel began as Faith took a stake from her other pocket and stabbed it through Rachel's other hand, like she had done with the first. The Diamond grit her teeth as she cried out in pain.

"She's a siphon witch and a werewolf... all it took was some vampire blood and a interaction with death to turn her into some freakshow." Rachel explained as though it was obvious. "Nobody else should be able to turn into a tribrid, except for me." Faith stated, pretending as though Hope didn't exist as she spoke to the Diamond.

"Well I don't know what to tell you. She comes from some creepy witch bloodline where they only use dark magic." Rachel added, "But I don't know anything else. You'd probably receive more information if you contacted her killer herself."

"And who might that be?" Faith demanded. "A vampire named Salem Pierce. She came strutting into town weeks ago just like you, and interrogated me in a similar manner to learn everything she could about the Auclair history in Mystic Falls." Rachel began to explain, "I hate Olivia, so I happily told her everything I could... but she would now know more than me."

"This... Salem, why did she want to turn Olivia into a tribrid?" Faith asked as Rachel scoffed, "She didn't. She wanted to kill her. But obviously she failed because now Olivia Auclair is going to be alive for all eternity."

Faith thought about it, deciding silently that it may be best to track down Salem and seek more information. She hadn't expected a literal tribrid who used dark magic, to be residing in the quaint town of Mystic Falls. It sounded like this Auclair girl could put a stop to Faith's plan, and she couldn't have that.

"So I eliminate the tribrid... then what? What other threats lie in this small shit-hole of a town?" Faith asked as Rachel raised an eyebrow. "The school will probably come for you... well, maybe not the Salvatore students but the former Auclair students. They all once feared Olivia as a hybrid, but now as a tribrid it seems she is somehow being supported." Rachel scoffed.

Faith didn't seem too worried, she may struggle to take on a tribrid, but a bunch of measly vampires, witches and wolves? She could take most of them out with her magic alone.

━━━━━ ⋆⋅♥︎⋅⋆ ━━━━━

With the Salvatore students arriving at the campsite, the bus quickly emptied as everyone wanted to walk around and stretch. Alaric opened the compartments underneath the bus and began to pull everybody's bags and tents out.

"This looks like a place we could get abducted." Lucas stated the obvious as Landon laughed lightly as he threw his arm around his boyfriend. "Will you try to relax? Camping is supposed to be a time to get away from everything, you're not going to enjoy it if you're so tightly wound."

"I know a way Luca can be unwound." Beau spoke up suggestively as the boyfriends responded in unison, "Shut up Beau." Before Lucas turned back to Landon. "This means something to you... doesn't it?" He asked.

Landon thought about it, and looked away as he locked eyes with Rafael who flashed him a toothy smile as the Waithe was already setting up his tent. "Yeah... being in the foster system and all, the only time I could really enjoy myself was when Raf and I went camping."

Lucas nodded, "Okay. Fine, I'll try to relax and stop thinking about the possibility of us getting kidnapped and murdered." The Saltzman decided as Landon chuckled. "Thank you" The Kirby responded softly.

Everyone else began to pitch their tents, though Lizzie was left looking quite grumpy as Aphrodite had ditched her to pitch their tent alone. "Are you okay Lizzie?" Charlie asked as the blonde looked at him. "I don't know how to pitch a fucking tent!" She complained, "And my girlfriend has conveniently disappeared."

Charlie looked at the tent poles before looking at the tent confusedly, as he wanted to figure out how to help her. "Here, allow me." Valerie spoke up, as the purple haired werewolf took some of the tent poles and began to put the tent together, as they instructed Charlie and Lizzie on how to help.

"Wow... you are a person of many talents." Charlie marvelled as Valerie was lowkey proud. "I know. I can't help it when I have several wolves to help... I'm basically picking up new talents everyday." The Harlowe admitted. "You sound more like a parent than an alpha." Lizzie pointed out as Val shrugged, "I don't see the werewolves complaining." They admitted... as most of the wolves had parental issues.

Meanwhile Liv was helping Myrical set up their tent, though more than anything the tribrid was getting in the way as she didn't know what she was doing. "Okay, Livvy um... go and talk to Aphie." The Benning suggested, as she noticed the redhead hiding nearby. "What? Are you sure?" Liv asked, completely oblivious to how much she was slowing down the process.

"Yes. Absolutely." Myrical admitted, not meaning to sound so blunt. "Okay." Liv decided, seeming a little confused as she approached Aphrodite. "Mama, why are you hiding?" The Auclair asked.

Aphrodite looked around, relieved that Lizzie hadn't spotted her yet. "I have no idea how to pitch a tent." The De Martel admitted defeatedly. "Well, like mother like daughter because I think Myrical just kicked me out of tent duty." Liv admitted before the pair glanced over to see that Myrical had already completed pitching the tent.

"How the fuck—" Aphie blurted as Olivia seemed amused. "I'm guessing you've not been camping either?" Aphrodite then asked the tribrid, who shook her head. "Nope. Mum never took me on vacations. We just... moved around a lot because she'd piss the wrong person off." Olivia admitted.

"Oh... I think Lizzie has finished pitching her tent." Liv realised, as she noticed the blonde talking to Rafael and Josie. "Oh sweet, looks like I can come out of hiding now." Aphrodite confessed.

"Whose giant ass tent is that?" Jade asked, noticing that one tent was significantly larger than the others. "Oh, that's Beau's." MG pointed out, as Beau conveniently exited the tent as Jade and MG could see a giant air mattress inside wearing a clean linen set. A rug was laid on the floor of the tent, and there was the sound of a portable heater/cooler inside.

"Whoever is sharing a tent with him will be lucky." Jade admitted before MG frowned, "That would be Sebastian." He pointed out as Jade's eyes looked around for the pirate boy, finding him to be talking to Lucas and Landon.

Suddenly, Alaric's van entered the campsite filled with the new enrolments. The van came to a halt and Lexi was the first to exit, relieved to be able to stretch and also not listen to Aaron's music any longer.

Everyone else exited the van, which piqued the curiosity of the Salvatore students, as they all slowly walked over. Olivia made eye contact with Lexi instantly, as the tribrid gave her an excited smile to which the Salvatore returned.

"Salvatore students, come over here." Alaric called out, gathering the last of the students. The Salvatore students instantly looked to the group to recognising some of the students such as...

Lexi Salvatore, the troublemaker heretic who loved to flirt... unless she had her heart set on somebody, that is. Confidence isn't something she lacks, though many will see it as cockiness.

Veronica Mikealson, the sweet and kind heretic who was known to be compassionate and confident towards most. Unless you were Lizzie, they tend to butt heads.

Corentin Claire, a witch who mostly was know as Alex. He was known to be very sweet and kind, but evidently a total perfectionist.

Ashley Bennett, a witch who was known to be incredibly intelligent. She is also sweet to most, but can just as easily be sarcastic and stubborn.

Aaron Bennett, a witch who was quite charming but overconfident. At first glance he is seen as rough and mean, but is actually quite sweet if you got to know him.

Casper Olmo, a shy werewolf who tended to keep his circle small. Once he is comfortable around people, he is seen to be a total chatterbox, but he needs to build that trust first.

Wylan Olmo, an untriggered werewolf who could be both very kind and very blunt depending on the situation. For the most part he is considerate, but that will soon change if you are to cross him.

But amongst the group were also many new faces such as...

Dante Rosza, a friendly and very energetic werewolf, who could literally talk forever if people listened. He is always keeping himself busy, as he seems to have a lot of energy to burn.

Ezekiel Mikason-Lockwood, an untriggered werewolf who was very sarcastic, temperamental and impulsive. He is very smart, but can also be a total dumbass at the same time.

Bellamy Mikealson-Lockwood, a werewolf-witch hybrid who was very blunt, spiteful and snappy. She tended to keep to herself, only making the exception to be nice to her twin brother and cousins.

Eden Winslow, an empathic witch who seemed very reserved and secretive. She tends to wear headphones a lot and although most people considered it to be rude, she actually does it to block out other's emotions as it can get overwhelming.

And Cleo Sowande, the mysterious girl that really nobody knew anything about.

Beau's eyes landed on Eden, with a sense of familiarity as they widened in surprise. Eden caught his eye and smiled brightly, a smile she really only ever had for the Lazuli.

"These are the new students starting after the summer, make them feel welcome." Caroline insisted before Alaric spoke up, "Welcome. Let me know if you have any questions." He said to the new students.

"I have a question." Veronica began, "Where is Tori?" She asked as Alaric instantly looked fed up with all of these questions regarding the O'Connell-Mikealson. "That's a fantastic question..." Alaric trailed off.

"So what you're basically telling us, is that you don't know." Bellamy pointed out. "Yeah deadass. And this man decided while she is missing, to take us camping." Clary had her input, which only riled up others more.

"That's bullshit. If she's missing we definitely shouldn't be out here camping." Ezekiel added as Veronica agreed. "We wouldn't be out here camping if it was a Salvatore student missing." Aphrodite added quickly. "Okay, that's enough." Alaric spoke in a raised voice, as an attempt to quiet everyone down.

"Carice, since you won't stop being a smartass, you're on dish duty tonight. Aphrodite, you'll be helping." Alaric announced as Clary scoffed, "You have got to be joking. I just had my nails done." She spat. Aphrodite just deadpanned Alaric, "You still haven't denied my statement."

"Okay, we have some spare tents. If anybody needs help setting up I'm sure some of the Salvatore students will be happy to help." Alaric said, dismissing this little assembly as he was tired of hearing the same complaints.

With everyone dispersing, Beau rushed towards Eden as he threw his arms around the shorter girl to hug her. Eden hugged the witch back, with a giggle.

"It's so nice to see you! I can't believe you didn't tell me you were moving here!" Beau rambled as Eden laughed nervously, "Well, surprise!" She said in response.

Lucas and Landon approached the pair, seeming a little surprised by their dynamic. Beau was a rich boy who had always received anything he asked for, while Eden was an orphan who floated through the foster system.

"Hey Beau, why don't you introduce us to your friend." Lucas suggested as Beau and Eden let go of one another. "Oh, this is Eden! Eden, this is my best friend Lucas and his boyfriend Landon." The Lazuli explained. "Hey, nice to meet you." Eden spoke quietly.

"How do you know eachother??" Lucas asked, as he felt as if he knew all of Beau's friends... which really consisted of himself, Tori, Sebastian and sometimes Landon depending on Beau's mood.

"We were neighbours." Beau answered as Eden uncomfortably added, "I've been floating through the foster system so... we lived next door to eachother for a while but eventually I had to move to a new family." Eden averted her eyes away from Lucas and Landon. "But we always stayed in contact. E is like my little sister." Beau added.

Landon looked to Eden, noticing how uncomfortable she seemed when talking about the foster system. He sympathised with her, and clearly Eden could feel his sympathy because her eyes snapped back at Landon with a surprised expression.

"I'm sorry... I've been in the foster system too, it's a really awful experience." Landon spoke genuinely before he glanced over at Rafael, who was playing catch with Jed, Valerie and Glen as he wore a bright smile.

"It does get better... being here is a lot better than the foster system, I can promise you that much." Landon added as Eden nodded, "I can only hope." She replied.

Nearby, Ezekiel and Bellamy had already pitched their tent, and were helping Veronica with hers. The twins had been on plenty of camping trips with Tyler, since he wanted to be the best dad to them as his own father failed to be.

"This is so stupid. We should be looking for Tori." Ezekiel grumbled as he finished pitching Veronica's tent. "We should be. If only I had access to my grimoire..." Bellamy trailed off, as she hadn't thought to pack it since they were only going camping.

Once they finished pitching the tent, Veronica's eyes darted over to Myrical. "I should go say hello." She said, thinking aloud. Bellamy and Zeke's eyes trailed over to Myrical who was messing around with Liv.

"You like her... don't you?" Zeke suggested as Veronica shook her head quickly, though her blushing cheeks gave her away. "Okay, maybe I do." Veronica came clean, knowing that Ezekiel would probably tease her.

"But we haven't seen eachother in months and it might be weird." Veronica rambled on as Bellamy eyed her. "I could hex her friend over there, which would give you the chance to talk to the girl." The ravenette suggested.

Veronica's eyes widened in shock as Ezekiel quickly interjected, "She is joking. But you should go talk to her." He insisted, as Veronica looked over, noticing that Lexi joined in their conversation.

"Okay. I'm just going to say hello. It's not an intimidating experience as my brain is trying to tell me." Veronica reminded herself before she began walking over to Myrical.

Bellamy just rolled her eyes, "I don't understand how speaking to a crush would be intimidating." She stated, as Zeke turned his head towards her. "Maybe you would if you'd ever had a crush on somebody." He suggested.

Bellamy seemed slightly amused by this, "You're an ass." She huffed before she went to unpack things into her tent.

"I can't believe this is finally happening! You're officially a Salvatore student!" Liv said, offering Lexi a smile. The Salvatore stood proudly in a joking manner before she pulled a giant bag of marshmallows out of her own bag. "I brought these! So we can roast them later on a fire." Lexi said as Liv seemed really excited, upon never roasting marshmallows before.

"We should make smores!" Myrical suggested suddenly as Olivia seemed a little confused. "What's a smore?" She asked, as Lexi and Myrical shared looks of complete shock. "Livvy— how do you not know what a smore is??" Myrical asked abruptly as Lexi had to agree.

"Guys, my birth Mum never took me camping, so of course I have no idea what a smore is??" Liv blurted out as though it was obvious. "Well, Olivia Auclair, tonight I'm going to change your life with these bad boys." Lexi said, holding up the marshmallow bag in one hand as she pointed to it with the other.

"I was worried that was going to go in a different direction." Veronica admitted awkwardly, causing Liv's face to redden. "I mean... that's always an option too." Lexi teased, though Myrical unintentionally cut the Salvatore off, "Veronica! It's nice to see you!"

Veronica smiled, "It's nice to see you too Ri. How have you been?" The Mikealson-Malraux asked. "I've been good... I've been sleeping a lot better since you gave me that sleep spell from Freya's grimoire!" The Benning confessed as Veronica couldn't help but to smile, "Oh that's great! I'm relieved to hear." The blonde smiled.

"Yeah... I've been excited for you to transfer. I think you're gonna like it! Alaric is annoying though." Myrical rambled, though she said the last part in a more quieter voice. "No shit." Lexi laughed, "Though the Mystic Falls high headmaster recently quit... Hopefully Ric can transfer there and stop bothering everyone." She admitted.

Olivia seemed hopeful, "Honestly... that would be fantastic. He is pretty awful towards us from Auclair." She confessed as Veronica frowned before she glanced over at Ezekiel and Bellamy's tent. "Maybe I could convince Bellamy to hex him." She suggested, though the others didn't realise that she was serious.

With dinner being made, everyone sat in their own little groups around the fire and ate. "This food is great." Wylan spoke up, as others seemed a little surprised. Casper noticed the stares and confessed quietly, "Our Dad isn't the best at cooking."

"I can already see everyone is debating whether to throw in a dead dad joke right now." Eden admitted to Beau, Lucas and Landon who all tried to hold back laughs. "Yeah... this whole group screams daddy issues." Beau admitted, while Sebastian looked a little confused.

"I have to agree, this food is a lot better than I expected." The pirate then admitted, as he hadn't really eaten nice food when he used to be apart of a crew on a ship.

As everyone finished eating, Clary and Aphrodite collected all of the dishes and went to start cleaning. It was then as everybody dispersed, that Ashley decided to make a beeline for Charlie as she had been wanting to speak to him since she'd arrived at the campsite, but was waiting for the right time.

The Salvatore noticed the Bennett and paused, deciding not to initiate conversation. "Hey." Ashley began, as Charlie turned to her. "Hey Ashley." He responded. "I um... I just wanted to apologise for what happened at the game." The Bennett began to explain as Charlie seemed a little surprised.

"We aren't our parents... what happened between them doesn't have anything to do with us." Ashley decided. Charlie's expression softened, as he realised it was a hard topic for both of them to talk about. The vampire was ashamed that his father had killed Enzo... he felt guilty that Ashley and Aaron grew up without their father and Bonnie grew up without her husband, even though it was the doing of his father and not himself.

"Thank you for saying that." Charlie eventually said, as Ashley's expression softened. "I really am sorry you guys grew up without a Dad." He said as Ashley gave a weak smile, "I'm sorry you grew up without yours. I can't imagine Alaric exactly makes stepdad of the year." The ravenette admitted as Charlie awkwardly chuckled. "He definitely does not."

The Salvatore's eyes unintentionally drifted to Aaron now, who was doing what looked like a push up competition with Wylan and Casper as Jed encouraged them. Ashley followed Charlie's line of sight, and her expression faltered.

"Aaron... might take a while to come around. He still has a lot of anger that he doesn't know how to let go off." Ashley trailed off, knowing her twin was surprisingly more stubborn than she was.

"It's okay... I understand. I'd just appreciate if he didn't like, try to fight me." Charlie admitted, as Ashley chuckled awkwardly although she knew it was a legitimate possibility. "Yeah. I'll try my best to keep him from doing that." Ashley decided, though she knew it was a mission sometimes. Aaron seemed to have a habit of mouthing off to the wrong people and it had gotten him trouble many of times before.

Nearby Valerie, Glen and Myrical were laying down on a large picnic blanket and looking up at the sky, as Myrical pointed out constellations to them. "How are you so good at this?" Glen asked Myrical as she shrugged. "I look at the stars every night when I sleep." The Benning answered, giving no context to the fact that she or Liv use their magic to make their ceiling transparent.

"I feel like you never see such a beautiful night sky until you go camping out in the middle of nowhere." Valerie stated as Glen pointed out the obvious, "That's because there's hardly any pollution out here."

"Hey... mind if I join you guys?" A voice asked, causing the trio to roll over and face Cleo, who'd just approached them. "Not at all." Valerie answered as Cleo gave back a smile before she plonked herself on the blanket and glanced up at the stars.

"I'm Cleo, by the way." Cleo introduced herself. "That's a cool name. I'm Myrical." Myrical responded, flashing Cleo a smile even though she wasn't facing the Benning. "I'm Valerie, but you can call me Val." The Harlowe piped up before Glen added, "And I'm Glen."

"It's nice to meet you guys." Cleo responded before she started to point out some constellations she recognised, which seemed to impress Myrical.

As the group continued to look at the sky full of stars, Landon, Rafael and Lucas walked passed them with arms full of wood. The trio dropped the pile of wood nearby the firepit, though Lucas let out a groan when he realised everybody had left the fire and with it being unattended, it went out.

"Okay, perfect time for me to teach you how to start a fire!" Landon suggested as Lucas looked blankly at his boyfriend, "Babe. I am a witch. I will literally just use my magic." The Saltzman insisted.

"Yeah but that's boring." Rafael chimed in, as he began to strategically place some logs in the fire pit. Lucas, not liking that he was now cold, reached out and took Landon's hand and siphoned magic. Once Rafael had taken a step back Lucas said, "Incendia."

The wood set ablaze, creating heat yet again. Landon frowned, "But that's cheating." He decided. "But we're finally warm again." Lucas said with relief before himself and Landon took a seat by the fire.

"Finally, the fire's back." Lizzie stated as herself and Josie sat themselves by the fire also, though Josie looked around. "Have you guys seen Niko?" The ravenette asked. "They've been in their tent since we got here." Lucas replied, unsure whether to disturb him as he had been quite snappy.

Josie frowned, and as though Lucas could read her mind he said, "He probably doesn't want your company, before you even think about it." Lizzie sighed, as she got to her feet. "Where are you going?" Josie quickly asked. "I need a break from triplet drama for one night." Lizzie responded before she walked off.

The blonde Saltzman reached the wash up area, where Aphrodite and Carice were cleaning dishes while they bitched about Alaric. "Are you guys nearly done yet?" Lizzie asked, as she wanted to spend time with her girlfriend.

"Does it look like we're nearly done?" Carice asked unintentionally in a snippy manner, as there were still a lot of dishes left. Lizzie grumbled under her breath as she moved to help the pair clean.

"What are we supposed to do after this... we have no cell reception." Carice stated the obvious. "Hmm.. we could roast some marshmallows." Aphrodite suggested, as she had brought a bag and knew that Lexi brought one also. "That would be fun." Carice admitted.

Nearby, Beau, Eden and Sebastian were sitting inside Beau's giant tent. "This is very cosy." Eden admitted, as she was sitting purely on the rug laid out on the floor while Beau and Sebastian were seated on the bed.

"Your tent looks very different to everyone elses." Sebastian confessed, as he laid back on the mattress, finding it to be comfortable. "That's because I like to be comfortable at all times... the others don't seem to care. But watch them all complain tomorrow that they have sore backs or they didn't sleep very well." Beau rambled on, his eyes on Sebastian as the vampire seemed amused.

Eden's eyes darted between the pair, as it was clear there was some sort of connection there, but whether or not Sebastian was into guys was questionable.

"So... Sebastian." Eden began, "Did you ever have a girlfriend or a boyfriend on this grand pirate ship you keep speaking of?" She asked, hoping this conversation would end in Beau's favour. Beau gave the Winslow a sly expression, as he knew what she was doing.

Sebastian on the other hand, seemed lost in thought as he reminisced on his pirate days. He didn't have many fond memories about it.

"I... I met a girl named Cassandra." Sebastian spoke, though his eyes were fixed elsewhere as his mind was plagued with unpleasant memories. He tried to seperate his trauma from his pirate life from his love life and eventually he smiled as he thought purely about his former love.

"She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen." Sebastian said with a loving smile before he turned back to Beaumont. "Have you ever been in love?" He asked. Beau maintained eye contact with Sebastian as he shook his head. "No." He answered.

"Hey, do you guys wanna roast marshmallows with us?" Wylan's voice asked, as the trio looked a little surprised as none of them had met the Olmo before.

Beau unzipped the tent, coming face to face with the untriggered werewolf. "Huh, you're cute." Beau confessed as Wylan seemed a little surprised by this comment. "Yeah we'll come roast marshmallows." The Lazuli decided before he motioned for Eden and Sebastian to follow him.

Now by the campfire, a grumpy and irritable Niko sat inbetween Olivia and MG. He wanted more than anything to drink, and hated that he was hearing everyone's thoughts now that he was sober. The Shiratori cursed himself for leaving his ear muffs in his tent.

"Have you done this before?" Aphrodite asked Lizzie as the blonde insisted she didn't need any help, but looked defeated as her marshmallow was completely burnt. "No." The Saltzman replied in a disappointed manner. Aphie tried to stifle a giggle as she helped her girlfriend to roast a marshmallow.

"Here." Lexi pulled her stick away from the fire as she faced it towards Olivia. "Try it." The Salvatore insisted with a toothy grin as Liv looked genuinely excited. The tribrid pulled the roasted marshmallow off of the stick before placing it into her mouth. Her eyes lit up when she realised just how delicious it tasted. Lexi couldn't help but to laugh at the wholesome reaction from Olivia.

"We haven't done this in so long." Ezekiel admitted, before he ate a marshmallow. "Oh yeah, didn't you guys used to go camping all the time?" Dante spoke up, as he was seated next to Corentin, as the pair of best friends shared a blanket wrapped around them.

Bellamy gave a nod, "We did." She answered before she glanced at the fire. "And then Damon Salvatore had to ruin everything." The werewitch muttered under her breath. "Fucking amen to that." Charlie blurted out, before he felt the presence of a blanket around him.

The vampire turned to see Glen had grabbed them a blanket, and placed it around Charlie before he cuddled up to the boy also underneath the blanket.

Casper glanced at Lexi, feeling as though it was inappropriate to speak ill of her father. Lexi had her eyes fixed on the fire now, "I may be pissed at my Dad... but I'd really appreciated if you all just stopped badmouthing him in front of me." The heretic declared.

"We can't help that he is a terrible person." Ezekiel admitted, feeling frustrated by this. He hated feeling as though Damon was always excused for his awful behaviour, while his own father was always painted as the bad guy.

"Guys, shut the fuck up." Aphrodite warned. She for one thought Damon was a waste of air, but she wasn't going to sit there and listen to them badmouth him to his own daughter.

"He still walks around like he owns the town, even now when he's only some puny human." Aaron admitted, as Rafael frowned at him. "Dude, you were already told to shut the fuck up. Why don't you listen?" The Waithe replied.

"Oh I just know you have been waiting all night to say something rude to me." Aaron snapped, looking ready to fight his enemy. "Aaron!" Ashley tried to scold him. Rafael got to his feet, "I knew it wasn't going to take long because you're a total dick!" Raf snapped back.

"I'm so fucking done here." Lexi muttered under her breath, as she got up to leave. "Lexi—" Liv watched sadly as she walked away, needing some air.

"Rafael, back down." Valerie warned the Waithe. "We promised Caroline and Alaric a drama free trip." She added. Rafael continued to glare at Aaron, "That's before I knew he was coming!"

"Where are Caroline and Alaric?" Veronica realised, before she shuddered at the thought of them being alone together. "Ew, no way. They are not boinking. Get that image out of your head!" Lizzie demanded, as she could see what Veronica was thinking by the disgusted expression on her face. "They are getting more fire wood." Josie reminded them.

"Did Damon's daughter go to mope?" Bellamy asked Zeke, who shrugged. The werewitch muttered something under her breath, not really loud enough for others to hear but was assumably more complaining about Damon. She hated him more than she ever thought she could hate anyone, after he killed her father with no remorse.

Charlie frowned. He may have contributed to the Damon slander, but now he felt bad for his cousin. The vampire sighed to himself, already feeling regretful for wanting to defend Damon as he turned to Bellamy. "Can we stop reminding one another of whose parents killed whose? Lexi isn't her father, and I'm sure she is disgusted for what happened to Tyler."

"Nooo, I burnt my marshmallow." MG suddenly complained. Beau turned to him, "Oh look, you destroyed it. Just like you destroy everything else around you." The Lazuli scoffed. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" MG retorted with offence.

Growing really frustrated with everybody's bickering, Olivia snapped. "That is enough! Everyone, shut the fuck up!" She yelled loudly, as everyone fell silent instantly. There was a red spark in the tribrid's eyes, that diminished quickly.

"You all sound so pathetic— this is supposed to be a bonding experience yet everyone is out for blood." The Auclair ranted as Aphrodite looked genuinely proud (yet surprised) with her daughter for speaking up.

"I'm going to look for Lexi." The ravenette mumbled under her breath as she walked away from the campfire. Clary watched the tribrid's retreating figure before she pointed out, "Okay, vampirism has turned Liv into a bad bitch."

Heading into the woods, Olivia passed Caroline and Alaric who were carrying firewood. They could see she the tribrid was irritated by something. Liv looked at the headmaster and headmistress, "Maybe next time you guys should stop canoodling in the woods and keep your students from ripping each other apart!" Liv complained.

Caroline and Alaric shared a look of complete disgust before they both sworn nothing had happened between them and that they didn't expect to have been gone for so long. "What happened to the students?" Caroline then asked worriedly. "Everyone's fucking fighting. It's so exhausting." Liv huffed before she continued to walk, not giving the pair anymore context of what they were going to walk in on.

Further into the woods, Lexi sat herself down on a log as she tried to calm herself down. The Salvatore felt like from the moment she was born she'd been fighting for her father. He was a man with many enemies and although Lexi wasn't sure if he deserved it or not, she was sick of hearing people badmouth Damon to her.

Footsteps approached as a soft voice spoke up, "Hey Lexi, are you okay?" It was Casper. "No. This was a mistake." Lexi sighed, as Casper moved to sit beside her. "I don't know why I thought moving schools would be a good idea." The heretic confessed sadly.

"We haven't even properly moved yet." Casper reminded the Salvatore. "Maybe we should wait for the semester to start before we judge our choice so harshly." He suggested.

Lexi frowned, "I was a screw up at Mystic Falls high... and I'm going to be an even bigger screw up at the Salvatore school, except this time my Dad doesn't have my back, and I don't have either of my best friends by my side." She rambled on, as she already missed Finch and Stella.

"You're not a screw up... you were one of the coolest people at our old school." Casper confessed shyly as Lexi seemed surprised by this. "And I know you're gonna fit in here. You've already been talking to so many new students." The Olmo admitted.

Lexi turned to Casper, realising that this move would probably be harder on him than her. He was an incredibly shy werewolf, who only really ever interacted with Wylan or Ethan. Now with the move, he'd only have his twin.

"Why did you want to move?" Lexi blurted out, as Casper seemed a little surprised by this question. He shrugged, "I... I activated my curse and I didn't want to hurt anybody while I learn control." He admitted, "I'd never forgive myself if I hurt Wy or our Dad."

Lexi's expression softened, "You are a good person, Casper." She admitted, as she'd always found the quiet boy to be so kind. Casper blushed slightly, "Thanks Lexi." He managed to reply.

"Lexi? Casper?" Liv blurted out, as she'd finally found the pair. "Liv?" Lexi replied with surprise. "I came to see if you were okay. I didn't realise Casper left camp." Liv admitted, as she moved to sit beside Lexi. "It's okay, I told Wy." Casper replied, knowing his twin would have freaked out if he disappeared without a word.

"I.. I kinda lost it and yelled at everyone." Liv admitted, seeming embarrassed. "I was so mad for what they did to you... but then they all continued to yell at eachother for different things?" The Auclair admitted. "Wait... you got mad at everyone? I almost can't picture it." Lexi confessed as Liv laughed awkwardly.

"Yeah, I know. I feel kinda bad now though." Olivia replied before she looked down to realise that Lexi had taken her hand with her own. "Are you feeling better?" Liv then asked with concern. The Salvatore nodded, "I am now. Thanks to Casper." She admitted, as she offered the blonde boy a smile, even though he probably couldn't see it very well in the dark.

"I have to say... it's much more peaceful out here in the forest than at the camp." Liv admitted, feeling more comfortable in the quiet. "Literally though." Lexi admitted with a slight laugh, as the trio decided to hang out away from camp a little longer.
