Daylight came fast over the lands of Coco Village where the remains of fires were still burning the huts to the ground, and the Straw Hat crew arrived on the scene to be met with the chaos, and destruction. The only things that were left, were the stick materials that held up the huts, as everything was burnt and destroyed from the fire.
Some of the villagers were still around trying to put out the fires, while the other ones went to go find the rest of them including Genzo, now knowing what sacrifices Nami made for them since her sister told them.
(Y/N) was stood in between her swordsman and cook like usually glancing over the scene, her hand holding into Nami's trembling one tightly, and gave a firm squeeze knowing how she was feeling right now.
"Arlong did this?" Sanji was the first one to break the tense silence between them, narrowed blue eyes on the mess in front of them not believing the fishman did that, "Why?"
The question was directed at Nami who tearily gulped the lump in her throat, and sniffled holding onto the girls hand more, "To punish the villagers." She answered in a croak, making the captain rub her thumb over Nami's knuckles soothingly, "And to punish me."
Luffy and his sisters shared a serious glance between each other hearing Nami's confession, both thinking the same thing about kicking Arlong into the ground for how he treated their navigator, and the towns people.
Usopp went to the small well full of water taking out the bucket from the top of it, and began to scop some into it, putting out the small fire that was near some of the broken wood boards on the ground.
At the same time the Coco villagers appeared also from the other entrance in front of the pirates, all carrying weapons and had determined looks on their faces, marching up to where the group was waiting.
"What's going on?" Nami asked warily seeing them all walking over, blinking her tears back away as her sister was in the group also, and shuffles in her spot more.
"Nojiko told us about your sacrifice." Genzo responded holding a shotgun over his shoulders, and gave the girl an ashed and sad look, "We didn't know. Can you ever forgive us?"
"There's nothing to forgive." She assured shaking her head a little, feeling her eyes burning with tears again and gripped onto their captains hand more for comfort, "Coco Village is my home."
"Then it's our turn to sacrifice. We're done living in fear." He stated firmly gaining some nods from the villagers behind him, and rose his voice a bit, "We're gonna march on Arlong Park. if those fishman want a fight-"
Nami was quick to interrupted the older male she cared about, "That's not a fight. That's a massacre." She exclaimed not wanting to lose any of them, looking over the people of her home town, "You all will be killed!"
"If there's no hope for us to buy our freedom, then I say we die trying to fight for it!" His voice got louder at the end, talking to the villagers who all yelled their agreements, and lifted their weapons up high.
They continued to let out shouts of affirmation, making Nami quickly wave around her free hand to silence them, "No, everyone, please!" She tried to calm the group down, "No, I won't let you do that. This is my fight."
This had the Monkey D. girl now stepping forward a bit hearing her words, "No." She spoke in rare serious tone, voice no longer holding its playfulness as she looked down to Nami gently, than back to the villagers, "This is our fight." She now glanced at her brother who smiled, and crew mates smirking, "Right, guys?"
"Finally, I get to cut something." Zoro commented in his normal monotone voice, nudging his shoulder into his captains gently also, which gained a chuckle from her.
"But how are we gonna beat Arlong?" Usopp mentioned panicked coming up to stand beside his friends, and directed his eyes to the captains who have already experienced getting beating by the fishman, "We saw what he did at Baratie."
Zoro shuffled his weight onto his left leg, placing both of his hands onto his one sword, and tilted his head in thought to the side, "Every creature has a weakness." He pointed out, causing Usopp to send him a nervous stare.
"Even bulletproof ones?"
(Y/N) pursed her lips remembering how badly she lost against Arlong the first time, and rubbed the side of her nose, "I'm sure we'll know it when we see it." She reassured motioning to her confident brother beside her still with Nami grunting out firmly, "And when that happens, I won't hesitate again."
........
Inside Arlong Park behind the closed entrance doors leading into it, the fishmen were working on preparing stuff for the upcoming events, and all busy moving the objects in hands around the massive water park.
"Let's pick up the pace!" Choo was yelling orders to the workers a bit tiredly, carrying a drink in his webbed hands like usually walking around, "You know Arlong hates to wait."
Indistinct chatter was followed after his commanding, as suddenly smoke bombs were thrown into the area inside by a strong gust of wind, creating explosions of it once it landed. The fishmen clamored in surprised at the blinding smoke now effecting their vision, coughing and trying to wave away the gas around them.
"What the hell is this?" Choo muttered in a slight growl narrowing his eyes to the spot in front of him, the smoke making everything harder to see now also, "Who would be stupid enough to attack us?"
He got his answer when the wood holding the massive doors to Arlong Park was snapped in half, followed by the door being forceful pushed open by another large gust of wind, that had the fishmen yelling again.
Appearing out from the entrance in the clearing smoke, was the Straw Hat crew all having determined expressions on their faces. (Y/N) and Luffy were walking in first to stand just before the pool, with the others all falling in step behind them in a line.
"Fishmen! Stand by to repel boarders!" Choo now yelled out another demand seeing the unwanted guests. This making the siblings crack their knuckles smirking widely, Zoro to unclip his sword from the handle, Sanji to swipe his foot back into position cracking his neck, and Usopp to pull back his sling shot.
All the fishmen pirates began to gather around now shouting at the Straw Hat crew, as (Y/N) goes to turn her head to Nami behind her, and questioned over the loud noise, "Where's Arlong?"
Nami flickered her less teary gaze up to their captains face, gripping onto the orange bracelet and motioned to the massive building across the yard, "He's probably in the map room."
Luffy and his sister shared a look between each other, bumping the sides of their fists together, before looking to Nami again, "Then that's where we're going." They stated together, gaining a head nod from her and went to rush forward leading them away.
Before (Y/N) followed on after the two however, she quickly placed her arm out in front of the males beside her to stop them, "Be careful guys." She warned giving them a worried look, moving to stand in front of them grinning widely, "Can't have my swordsman getting hurt again nor my cook, can I?"
Zoro and Sanji both became a bit flustered in their spots at her words, hearts doing flips seeing her smile being directed at them. The swordsman grumbled a bit using his bandanna over his head to cover him, and the cook just smiled softly at her giving a wink of reassure.
Sending them one last adoring grin that lit up her features, and a frantic wave to a smirking Usopp, she rushed off towards where Luffy and Nami were, grabbing onto the hands they outstretched for her to take once she arrived.
The fishmen now all charged at the splitting up pirate crew, with Zoro and Sanji dealing with the ones on the floor running at them, while Usopp took the high ground to use his sling shot at the enemies.
Maybe I should of kissed their cheeks, (Y/N) thought to herself in her own little world running along the rocks behind Luffy, and Nami thinking about how quick her words were with the males she adored a lot.
She was very unaware of how one of the fishmen had jumped out from the pool, landing in front of where she was. Luffy and Nami exclaim her name loudly, making her screech startled seeing the threat swinging his arm at her and she quickly stumbled a duck away.
However before Luffy could help his sister out from the situation, Zoro appeared running across the side of the rocks and used his sword to cleanly slice straight along the fishmen's leg saving her from harm.
The fishman fell off the rock wall yelling in pain from the hit, as she perked up from her crouched position and peeked over the edge giggling nervously, "Thanks, Zoe!" She calls out to him smiling brightly, before it dropped into a worried one spotting him hunched over holding his healing wound.
"Sanji!" She now calls to the cook a few meters away kicking some of the fishmen away, as he immediately looked up hearing her voice, "Watch over Zoro for me!" She ordered him concerned that he'd open his wound again, and grinned some more at the boys before getting pulled up by her brother to run on after Nami.
The swordsman groaned through his teeth feeling more embarrassed at her words, being knelt one on knee as he slices through another fishman behind him, "I don't need shitty-cooks protection."
Sanji laughed mockingly in response leg sweeping the enemy charging at him, before landing onto one of the rocks in the water, "Sorry moss-head," He grunted out breathing heavily, "whatever our captain wants, she gets."
Zoro just scowled at him hissing a little bit at the sharp pain in his chest, before stabbing his sword without looking into a fishman's stomach, "Guess I can't argue with you there." He grumbled annoyed, before pulling his sword back hearing the dead body drop behind.
........
Back with the trio they had made it into the building now running through the many hallways, until Nami directed them to where the map room was. They arrived at the permanently open door, walking through into the massive bricked oval shaped room.
Nami rushed over towards where the map was being kept in a treasure box, holding onto the other girls hat so it didn't fall off, and bent down to grab the object once she found it.
The Monkey D. siblings both carefully walk down the few steps also into the barely lit room, the only source of light coming from the opens in the roof, and the three lanterns along the walls.
"What is this place?" (Y/N) was the first one to speak up glancing around the so called map room, stepping onto the lower platform beside Luffy, and felt a weird feeling in her stomach sensing something was up.
"Let's just grab our map and get out of here." Nami doesn't answer the captains question, not wanting to open that discussion up as she knew the nightmare this room brought more than anyone did.
While navigator was flipping open the lid to the chest holding the Grand Line map, the other two making their way around the table holding a big hand drawn map, and their expressions darkened spotting the set of chains tied up to the table also.
"He let me stop wearing the when I was 12." The orange haired girl told the two seeing where they had paused, a distance glint in her eyes remembering those times being held by those things, "He said it was a birthday gift. Come on. Let's go."
(Y/N)'s jaw clenched tightly feeling her blood boil hearing another part of Nami's childhood, fingernails digging into her palms to control her temper, and exhaled heavily when Luffy touched her shoulder gently.
Grabbing the map from the teasture chest Nami walked up to to the duo, who follow after her to walk back outside again, but was stopped by a familiar taunting voice, "But you just got here."
His slow footsteps against the floorboards echo around the room, revealing himself from in the shadows was a sinister looking Arlong carrying his sawfish sword, and at his appearance it made the captains step protectively in front of Nami glaring in warning at him.
He slams it into the ground once he stopped moving, "Welcome to Arlong Park." He drawls out deeply, flashing his sharped teeth to the group cackling like a mad man.
(Y/N) outstretched her arm sideways in front of Nami's figure hiding behind her taller one, feeling the girls fingers gripping onto her shirt material in fear watching as Arlong now starts to circle them around the upper platform.
"Humans have ruled the seas for far too long. Looking down from their ivory towers." He began to talk in his deep voice, holding onto his sawfish sword clenching his fists furiously, "Towers built on the backs of fishmen. Your government fear my people, so," He placed his massive sword onto his shoulder, "you forced us into slavery."
A scoffing noise escaped her mouth at his foolish claim, her (E/C) eyes narrowing down on his figure, "No one should be forced into anything." She spat out firmly, shaking her head to the side in disbelief, "Everyone should be free to live as they want, and as they choose."
"Save your sympathies, girl." He growled out defensively not finding her words great at all, and began to eerily walk down to the three in the middle of the room, "Our abuse and persecution end now. I will lead the fishmen as we mount a revolution for the ages." He points a webbed finger at them rising his voice, "It's your turn to know humiliation and pain."
"Haven't you done enough?" Nami now exclaimed back through gritted teeth, becoming more confident with her two captains by her side, and made herself more visible.
"I'm just getting started, darling." He retorted with a bit of attitude moving his eyes onto her, and smirked mockingly, "But, Nami, you could have been spared, taking your place right by my side." His voice dropped into a disgusted one now, "But no, just like the rest of your kind, you betrayed me. And for what? For this?"
He gestured to the two siblings beside her on edge, making Nami frown heavily showing her hatred for the fishman, "You were never going to spare me." Her voice cracked a bit mid speech, "You told Nezumi about my stash."
Arlong cackled finding her helplessness amusing, throwing his head back a bit, "I'm just playing by human rules." He chuckled innocently, gaining more glares from the three inside, "With these maps, I will create a world where the fishmen reign supreme. With knowledge of every Marine base and pirate stronghold, nothing can stop me from taking the East Blue and every other sea after that! Oh yes."
After his obnoxious declare of his plan to rule the seas, he nodded his head at the orange haired girl, "And, Nami, it's all thanks to you." He makes a fake pity sound seeing her eyes well up with tears, and moved his smirk onto the quiet siblings, "So tell me, Pirate Kings..."
(Y/N) doesn't even flinch away when Arlong went to swing his weapon to the side of her neck, making her hair move from the breeze and glare just becoming stronger on the fishman in front. Nami gasped worriedly at that happening to her, being protected by Luffy's body now who waited to step in, if his sister needed the help.
"Could you have used her so effectively?" The fishman pirate captain questioned, tone holding nothing but mocking as he did use Nami against her own will, for so many years wrongly.
This set off the Monkey D. girls rage badly, "Use?" She repeated dangerously low, one of her murderously glaring eyes looking at him through her locks, and slammed her hand up into a piece of his sword.
Luffy, knowing what was about to happen sensing the change of atmosphere from around his sister pushed Nami back behind him, taking a few steps back away confusing the navigator, but didn't complain.
Fingers now curling around the metal that was slowly melting from how hot her palm was, (Y/N) gritted her teeth scrunching his sword under her hold, as cracks now appear in the part she had grabbed easily.
Arlong struggles to pull his sword free from her strong force, baring his teeth in vain when he couldn't get it to. Not even a second later, she slammed her other palm in the middle of his sword with an air blast, and broke it into two pieces now making Arlong yell out protests.
"Nami isn't some too to be used!" She started off in an furious voice, yelling loudly now making it echo around the room's wall that seemed to rumble a bit, "She's a person with wants and dreams of her own, and you took those away from her without a second thought!"
The orange haired girl peeked over Luffy's shoulder hearing the girls words about her, more tears falling onto her cheeks as they were now happy ones, and placed her other hand onto the handmade bracelet crying softly.
"You're no better that Axe-hand Marine or that fake weirdo butler or anyone else who tries to hurt other people." (Y/N) continued on now sneering at Arlong, a challenging smirk crossing her lips tilting her head to the side, "So I'm gonna kick your ass, just like I did theirs. No one messes with my crew and gets away with it."
Arlong just chuckled darkly in response dropping his broken sword to the ground, and threatened snarling at her, "I'll do you the kindness of killing you all together."
"Get out of here, Nami." Luffy now orders lowly with looking away from Arlong and his sister, pushing her towards the exit as she stuttered in protests not wanting to leave them all by themselves.
Hearing her worried words the (H/C) haired girl now laughed joyfully surprisingly Nami at the change up, and saw her turning her head over her shoulder, "Don't worry, we go this." She grinned confidently, showing off her arm to fake flex at the navigator.
Nami felt her cheeks heat up a bit at that, holding the map to her chest as she quickly went to rush out now to the door, making Arlong try to grab her. But Luffy's stretchy arm punched Arlong's hand away before he could, making the girl run freely out to safety.
(Y/N) smirks smugly flicking back her hair, rising her fists up into the air, and made a 'come here' motion with one finger at Arlong beside Luffy, "Round two, fish lips."
........
Outside still in the yard all the fishmen were fighting against the two Straw Hats stationed there, as Usopp was in the forest taking down Choo with his special attacks and sling shot, using his big brains to defeat him.
Sanji lifted up his leg to kick a fishman across the faces sending him to the ground, defending off another one and kicked him into the water beside them easily, as he glanced over to Zoro remembering his captains orders.
Zoro was slicing through the pirates on the sides of hi with his white katana, and landed onto the ground clutching his chest in pain, as he breathed heavily.
"You look tired." Sanji comments grunting kicking a fishman in the face without looking, and leg swiped another one spinning into a crouching position flicking back his bangs, "Maybe you should take a break. Don't wanna make our beautiful captain worry."
The swordsman just stood back up using his katana to help him do so, letting go of his chest to swing his weapon around slicing another pirate dead without looking also, "The only one she's gotta worry about is your lame ass." He grumbled scowling, and pulled back his sword to get rid of the blood, "You ought to get back in the kitchen."
"Quit screwing around!" Sanji exclaimed dodging a fishman's sword, and kicked another on in the gut as his foot was now caught which didn't worry him, "(Y/N) needs us! Luffy can't do all the protecting!" He add furiously worried about her a lot, and flips himself over to kick the fishman off of him swiftly.
Zoro rolled his eyes irked at the cooks words, cutting across the fishman he was fighting and placed the sharp end of his sword under the pirates chin, "You just got here. You don't know what (Y/N) needs." He rumbled glaring at him, and sliced the fisheman's throat easily.
Sanji scoffed a bit giving him the same attitude appearing in front, and turned his scowling gaze on the swordsman, "I know she needs my cooking." He sneered defensively, and kicked another pirates chin away from them adding a bit dreamily thinking of her bright smile, "And my undying devotion to her."
The green haired male released a mocking snort hearing the end bit, trying his best to take out his jealously on the fight instead of the cook, "You're more delusional than I thought." He comments grunting, and stabbed another fishman behind him away, "The only job you have is putting two slices of bread together, ero-cook."
"Me? Delusional?" Sanji laughed arrogantly kicking a fish away by his chest, ending up in front of Zoro again who finished off cutting more of the eneines up, "That's rich coming from you, moss-head. I've seen the way you act around her, can't say I blame you though."
Zoro tensed up at the blonde's call out knowing he was right, snapping his head towards Sanji baring his teeth embarrassed, and scowled annoyed, "You're not any better, womaniser!"
Sanji gritted his teeth irriated going to butt heads with him growling warningly, but the sound of Buggy's teasing voice from in the black bag made the two pause mid way, "Ooh! Someone's feeling threatened over Fox girl!"
"Shut up!" The two both in sync snap no longer fighting with each other, as their glaring gazes move onto the bag around Sanji's left shoulder, and took a moment to breath not seeing anymore enemies around.
"Then get me back to my body!" His muffled voice retorted back, his body being placed on a platform where stuff toys were strung up, and it begins to wiggle around in result, "We're close. I can feel my toes. Trust me, I can help you guys win this thing."
Sanji had a deadpanning expression on slipping off the bag around his shoulders, which had Zoro scrunching his nose up not trusting the clown pirate at all, warning in advance, "I swear, clown, if you screw us over-"
The bag was tipped upside down making Buggy's head drop down onto the wood boards groaning, as he landed onto his nose, "Ow! God!" He mumbles jumping around, before his head went flying back to where his body and into its rightful place on top.
"Yes!" He cheers joyfully now getting his body back, making his hands part from him before bringing them both back, and jumped off the platform, "Yes! Yes!" He began to spin around hugging himself, "Oh, it's so much better than I even remembered."
He only pauses his celebration feeling the harsh stares from Sanji and Zoro a few meters in front of him, making him become nervous now, "Hey, so, um..." He raised his rude fingers to flip them off smugly, "I'm gonna get out of here."
"Hey!" Zoro called out deeply in warning seeing the clown now rushing away from their position, only stopping to insult to pair more before he officially dipped the fighting area.
"Sorry, kiddos. I'd love to make things right, but it's time to exit stage left." Bugg remarked still grinning like an idiot, "Oh, and say bye to Fox girl for me!" He adds cheerily before running off from view, like the speed of wind now not wasting anymore time.
Zoro sent Sanji an incredulous look for the mess up resulting in Buggy being free, making the cook sheepishly shrug his shoulders, and the swordsman to sigh grumbling lowly under his breath, "Fucking clown."
........
Inside the oval shaped map room the siblings were now in the middle of a fight with Arlong also, as Luffy was thrown against a wall from a punch which had (Y/N) deflecting the punches with her forearms grunting at the force behind them.
She flexed her fingers outstretched to her side making a piece of rock crumble up from the ground, and caught Luffy's body onto it stopping his fall. Than she yelped just dodging Arlong's fist grazing her cheek, and jumped back a few feet away from him to avoid more hits.
Though she wasn't so lucky when Arlong's growl was heard right behind her, and that his webbed fingers grabbed a hold of the back of her shirt yanking her.
Now panicking she gets thrown across to where Luffy was, making him stretch his rubbery arms catching her body safely against his chest, both groaning in pain landing onto the cement floor.
"We're getting our shit rocked again." She mumbled to herself grunting, rolling off her brothers chest to plop onto the floor grumbling annoyed seeing Arlong approaching where they were.
"Get up." He rumbled out darkly tilting his chin to them, as the siblings both stumble up helping each other to stabilize, "Even with your devil fruit powers, you're no match for me." He aimed this at Luffy only, not knowing what (Y/N)'s abilities were from nor caused by.
She chuckled bitterly to herself running a finger under her nose, and narrowed her glaring gaze on Arlong, "Perhaps that might be, but you made our navigator cry!" She exclaimed in a fit of rage, earthbending the table in front to slam straight into his face harshly, resulting in him to slide back and face to snap sideways.
The table split into two pieces when it smacked into him, as it fell onto either side of him now, and he slowly turns his scowling face back to them. His nose was bleeding a little, as well as his mouth making Luffy laugh in triumph grinning at his sister, who didn't think it was that easy.
Arlong also laughs now but it didn't sound friendly, it was more of a wicked mocking one that had their facial expression dropping. He yells out as his broken teeth get replaced with more sharper ones, creating even more blood that ran down them onto his bottom lip.
Oh wow that's just festering, she thought to herself grimacing at the sight, warily touching her own teeth and shivered not wanting to imagine how that felt, as she shook her head to focus back on the fight.
"You're nothing but fools if you think you can save Nami." Arlong snarls circling the two on edge siblings watching his every move, chucking some more arrogantly, "There's a reason she keeps coming back to me. Arlong Park is her home."
"You mean her prison." Luffy corrects in a lower octave from beside his sister, both glaring at him to shut up as they get into defescine positions ready to fight him.
"Like it or not, I brought out the best in her. She'd be nothing without me."
(Y/N) shakes her head slowly in response flaring her nose up, as her eyes flickered over to the many maps Nami made hanging up on the wall, and smiled a bit proudly seeing them all, "Nah, more like you'd be nothing without her."
Ducking her head down quickly Luffy yells outstretching his arm over her figure, and all the way towards the pillar behind Arlong, either missing on purpose or by accident, but nevertheless it gave her an idea now seeing that.
"Typical human." The fishman pirate with the saw nose cackles out amused, grinning flashing his sharp canines to the siblings directly in front of him, "You can't win if you can't even hit straight."
She hummed to herself glancing around the pillars all around the room, for once not having to worry about going easy with her bending, "Luffy, go outside with the others." She spoke quietly to him, making the male's eyes widen in protest straight away, but she just smiled reassuring at him, "You trust me, right? I'll be alright from here."
Luffy frowned deeply worried for his younger sisters safety, but also trusted and believed in her more than anyone or anything. So with a strong nod, and a firm forearm squeeze, he was rushing out of the room now also to outside hopefully with the others.
Arlong growls out watching him fleeing also, going to try and stop him, but with met a brick wall to the face by her stomping it up from the ground, and glared warningly to back down.
"I probably can't beat you, fishy man." She spoke up in fake defeat making him cackle proudly, but it died down when she smirked mischievously, "But I totally can destroy everything you've built."
Before he could even react to what she was doing, the girl was spinning forward along the floor creating a swirl of air that travelled around her figure, and thrusted her hand behind her yelling to send the spiral directly towards one of the rock pillars destroying the side of it.
Arlong shouted his protests watching as the pillar crumbled to the floor now, which also made the building's material start to crack also. Growling angrily he went to blindly charge at her behind him, as she propelled herself forward by fire blasting from her boots and flipped right over him.
Through the air her hair fell everywhere framing her face, her mouth still smirking smugly catching Arlong's pissed off expression, and winked mockingly down at him, as she gracefully landed on the other side of the room.
Slicing her hands across each other with her fingers flexed out, she thrusted her arms back out above her making another rock pillar crumble down easily, as more dust and debris fall down from the shaking roof.
In the corner of her eyes that now had the irises of them glowing a faint orange, she spots Arlong charging at her once more from her side. Just before he could land a hit though, she back sprang herself away into a handstand and landed back onto her foot yelping as she almost fell face first mid way.
"Oh!" Another yelp escaped her when Arlong blindly swinged his fist at her face, ducking quickly before he could result in him punching another one of his own pillars, and yells out in horror at his place now getting more destroyed.
(Y/N) kept up her bending or kicking at the rock pillars to take down the map room, as the entire building was shaking, rumblings and breaking down from everywhere. That was her goal though, leave no traces behind but a pile of rocks and rubble.
Though she wasn't prepared to get thrown away easily when Arlong grabbed her when her back was turned, and yelled landed against one of the map walls across the room groaning.
She protected her head feeling some of the loose rocks fall down on her, and coughed because of the dust now forming in the air, as she hits her fist into the floor trying to stand up straight.
