The pirate ship's bustling kitchen is a hive of early morning activity, filled with the clatter of cutlery, the clinking of plates, and the uproarious laughter of the crew members. It is truly a breakfast-time symphony, a raucous and lively start to the day that echoes through the corridors of the ship.

Scarlet, nestles amidst the spirited chaos, surprisingly finds herself in a rather comfortable position. She sits beside Captain Buggy, who, like everyone else, indulges in the morning meal. Everywhere around her, plates are piled high with food, but Scarlet nurses only a single cup of tea, not yet ready to partake in the hearty fare that surrounds her.

However, her lack of appetite doesn't go unnoticed by Buggy. Concern etches across his features, he can't help but express his worry. "You're sure you don't want anything?" he asks, his gloved hand hovering over a platter of food.

Scarlet shakes her head gently, offering him a warm smile as she reaches over to place her hand atop his gloved one, patting it reassuringly. "I'll grab something later," she assures him. "For now, I'm perfectly fine with my cup of tea."

Buggy's concern for her well-being is evident to anyone listening to the earnestness of his next offer. "I could fetch you anything you like," he suggests, his body ready to storm into the kitchen and demand from the cooks to prepare anything his love desires.

In his mind there is the possibility that perhaps Scarlet just hasn't found anything to her liking on the breakfast spread, leaving her with an empty stomach rather than a satisfying meal.

Scarlet, however, upon hearing his offer can't help but chuckle at his endearing words. It's moments like these that make her heart flutter with affection for him. "I'm just not much of a breakfast person," she confesses, her fingers delicately lifting the teacup to her lips. Each sip's accompanied by a gentle flutter of butterflies in her stomach, not from hunger, but from the warmth of his care and the sweet anticipation of their time together. "There is no need to torment the kitchen stuff."

Buggy can't help but chuckle at Scarlet's words. Her constant efforts to keep him from tormenting anyone never fail to amuse him. "You think you can change me, huh? Turn me into a good man?"

Scarlet gently sets her teacup down and meets his gaze with unwavering sincerity. "You are a good man, or I wouldn't be here," she assures him. Her words caught him off guard, rendering the typically loud pirate momentarily speechless. Scarlet seizes the opportunity to keep talking. "I just don't want you to walk off and leave me alone, waiting for your return."

"Okay," Buggy replies, touched by her affirmation. Being called a 'good man' is a rarity in his life, and while he doesn't agree with her statement, he decides not to argue about it. If that's how she sees him, he's content with it. Deep down, however, he can only hope that Scarlet won't leave him when she inevitably sees how bad, dangerous, but at the same time utterly useless he is.

"You're making that face again," she remarks, poking his cheek and pulling Buggy from his contemplative thoughts.

He swats her hand away, annoyance flickering across his features. "What face?"

"The sad one," she replies softly, her fingers gently brushing his though as she rests her hand there. Her thumb traced idle patterns on his pants. "The one that tells me your mind wandered to a place it shouldn't. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably not true, so don't fret over it."

Their eyes lock, and Buggy's faze holds a hint of doubt, revealing his gratitude for her presence but also the lingering worry that time will be the ultimate test of his worthiness.

Suddenly, across from the couple, two figures plop down with an air of exhaustion that's hard to miss. Scarlet immediately recognizes them as the First Mate Mohji and the Second Mate Cabaji. They look worn out, their plates of breakfast lay before them on the table, but their attention's not immediately on the food. Instead, they fix their tired eyes on Buggy and Scarlet.

Cabaji's the first to speak, his voice tinged with a mix of fatigue and playful exasperation. "Please," he drawls, elongating the word for dramatic effect, "tell me that we won't have to listen to your 'nighttime activities' every night from now on."

Mohji chimes in, his expression mirroring his weariness. "I could barely get any sleep!" he adds, his voice laden with a hint of teasing frustration.

The topic of conversation makes Scarlet feel distinctly uncomfortable, and her cheeks flush a deep shade of red. It is a noticeable change, one that Buggy couldn't help but notice. In his eyes, her blush only adds to her charm. "Cute," he thinks before quickly shifting his focus away from her and onto his two crew members.

"Hey!" Buggy barks at them, his voice carrying a note of irritation that instantly commands their attention. The crew members straighten in their seats, their previous banter now replaced with a sense of regret for broaching such a sensitive topic that clearly upset their captain. "If anyone's unhappy on my ship, feel free to leave."

Mohji, sensing the need for caution, interjects carefully, "But, Captain, we're in the middle of nowhere." It seems that he assumes, stating that fact would tell Buggy that leaving isn't really an option for them at the moment.

Buggy responds with a succinct, "Exactly," not offering any further explanation. His response hangs in the air, a clear indication that the matter was not up for discussion.

Feeling the weight of the moment, Scarlet knows she can't remain silent. Gathering her courage, she finally speaks up, her voice laced with genuine contrition. "I'm sorry," she offers her apology addressing the awkward situation that unfolds. Her words draw the immediate attention of all three men sitting at the table, causing them to turn their gazes toward her simultaneously.

"I'll try to keep it down." The spotlight of their collective stare intensifies her discomfort, and Scarlet's blush deepens even further, extending from her cheeks to the tip of her ears. Her crimson complexion was now impossible to miss, and she wished she could simply disappear into the floor.

Buggy, ever the playful and impulsive pirate, can't resist the opportunity to tease. He finds himself captivated by Scarlet's blushing visage, an endearing sight that he can't take his eyes off. His internal thought echoes once more, "Cute."

However, before he even registers his own words, they slip from his lips, much to his girlfriend's displeasure. "I'll make sure that that'll be impossible, love," he says out loud, his voice filled with innuendo and mischief.

Scarlet, mortified by his remark, covers her face with her hands, her blush now rivaling even the reddest hues of Buggy's nose. She shakes her head vigorously, silently cursing her boyfriend for making such a bold and suggestive statement in front of his crew members.

Mohji and Cabaji exchange uneasy glances, mirroring Scarlet's discomfort as they contemplate their next move. Without uttering a word, their silent agreement hangs heavy in the air: it was time to vacate their current seats, a quiet retreat from the awkward situation. They clutch their plates, rising from their chairs, and embark on a brisk journey to the opposite end of the room, searching for an unoccupied table.

Scarlet's temper flares, her face still flushed from the embarrassment Buggy just inflicted upon her. She can't help but direct her frustration towards him, questioning his inexplicable actions. "Why on earth did you say that?" she snaps, her tone laced with irritation.

"I'm the captain," Buggy responds with a matter-of-fact tone. His hand reaches out to tenderly cup her cheek, cradling her face with love and care as he gazes into her shimmering green eyes. It was a look that held a thousand words, silently conveying his affection and his desire to shield her from any kind of discomfort. "I had to make sure they know their place and won't dare to mess with my girl anytime soon."

Scarlet who was on the verge of delivering a scolding or perhaps even shoving her boyfriend from his chair now finds herself caught in the gravity of his gaze. Her vexation wanes under the weight of the warmth in Buggy's eyes. Scarlet can't help but feel her facial muscles relax, and her burning gaze softens, while she locks eyes with the man, who she's madly in love with.

"Buggy," she breathes his name softly, her voice tinged with affection. She can't help but revel in the sensation of saying his name, feeling it roll off her tongue in the most satisfying way. "You're terrible," she concludes though the tone of voice doesn't match the words spoken out loud.

"I thought I'm a good man," he chuckles, picking up the topic from earlier in a lighthearted manner, that allows Scarlet to forget the fact that the whole crew probably heard her moan their captain's name last night.

"You are," leaning in, she initiates a passionate kiss, their lips licking in an embrace that shows anyone the depths of their love for each other. Furthermore, the public display of affection shows Buggy that something inside of her begins to change. Slowly her fear of judgment and limiting her actions to those that'll please others in one way or another disappear, knowing that Buggy stands by her side no matter what.

This is a love story that exemplifies the enduring power of resilience and the unbreakable bonds forged between two souls. Their love isn't defined by outward appearances but by the profound connection they share.

At first glance, to the casual observer, they might still appear an unconventional pair, seemingly ill-suited to withstand the trials and tribulations that life throws their way. But for those who take the time to observe closely, their love shines like a beacon, unmistakable and undeniable. It's as clear as daylight that this union is a match made in heaven, destined to stand the test of time.

The tender, lingering glances they exchange speak volumes, conveying a depth of emotion that words could never capture. Their affectionate, seemingly insignificant gestures – a touch, a smile, a shared laugh – are the building blocks of a love that knows no bounds.

The End.
