Noticing the unconscious brunette on the bed, the red haired sighed in relief upon seeing the subtle railing of the brunette's chest underneath the blanket.

Glancing at the ginger who was giving him a deadly glare. Reaching out for the blanket, the ginger spoke up, "I rather you don't."

Raising a brow, "Why?" He asked, worried about the answer.

"To help him keep his sanity. I'm sure he won't want you to see him with not clothes on." The ginger smirked, imagining the brunette's flustered face.

Nodding understandingly, the taller continued, "I'm staying here until he wakes up."

The ginger frowned, "I remembered you saying you just wanted to check on him."

"I've changed my mind."

Seeing the determined look in the other's eyes, the ginger sighed. He didn't want to have any more trouble so he merely nodded, sitting down.

Watching the red haired intently, the ginger contemplated asking for the other’s name but decided against it when he noticed that the red haired was engrossed at staring at Dazai, maybe hoping that staring at him would wake him up.

Chuuya sighed to himself, what mess has he gotten into?

It wasn’t that it would hinder his plans, it’s that an extra person knows what's happening. Keeping an eye on Dazai and this new guy was going to be troublesome. Maybe he should have just killed him. However, his sister was out of town which meant he had to deal with all the cleaning up.

Shutting his eyes for a few seconds to plan his next action, the ginger watched as  the red haired threaded his fingers through the brunette's hair in a comforting manner.

The urge to snap that hand in half was evident as the ginger exhaled out. It was fine. Just hair, it was just hair…

As if reading his mind, the taller glanced over his shoulder to see the ginger, arms akimbo, one leg crossing over the other. The ginger looked back, rolling his eyes at the other before returning to his own thoughts.

The red haired just ignored it and looked back at the brunette who didn’t show any signs of waking up any sooner. It was fine, he could wait. He always waited for the other.

At the end, Chuuya had decided after much debate in his mind that he’ll leave the duo in the room by themselves, to make himself a cup of coffee and maybe a cup of water for Dazai when he woke up. The red haired could gladly get a drink by himself.
The room consisted of only a door and a window. The ginger would obviously notice if anyone left through the door, the window was locked and only had the key. Crashing it would make a sound.

Totally foolproof.

Giving a glare as a warning, the ginger left the room, opening the shelves in the kitchen. He knew where was where. From his close observations, he had remembered where the brunette kept what.

Scooping a few scoops of coffee powder into the mug, the ginger yawned. He hoped the brunette would wake up soon. The sooner he woke up, the sooner the red haired would leave and he’ll get his much deserved quality time with Dazai.

The ginge then decided confidently that he’ll wait outside, sitting on one of the couch, a perfect view of the bedroom door but not inside but Chuuya doubted the red head would do anything. He couldn’t anyway. He had taken away or replaced anything that Dazai could use to escape. Scissors, photo frames, pen knives and much more.

He had done a thorough check of the whole room. Minutes soon became an hour and the red head was still in the room. The ginger sighed in annoyance, taking another sip of coffee as he placed the mug down, slouching into the couch. He was getting tired. He couldn’t sleep especially with an unauthorised man in Dazai’s room but Chuuya knew his awareness skills could sense if the duo passed him. But for extra precaution, he’ll stay awake, nothing he couldn’t handle.

The red head waited for his friend to wake up as he stared at the brunette’s face, longing for the othe to wake up. His prayers were answered when eyes fluttered open and the brunette stared at the sudden bright and white ceiling, readjusting his eyes to  see clearly.

The other’s eyes widened as he reached out to nudge the other who just flinched before warily glancing beside him. The brunette’s eyes widened and he quickly got the signal when the redhead placed a finger on his own lips, signalling for him to be quiet.

The brunette quietly sat up, pulling the blanket up with him as he glanced at the other.

The redhead kneeled backwards slightly to see the ginger laying his head on a pillow on the ouch. He most likely was still awake. However, seeing the distance of the room from the couch, he lowered his voice, “Dazai, you okay? He didn’t hurt you right?”

The brunette merely shook his head as he asked back, “He let you in?”

“I bargained with him a little. He nearly killed me!”

“You should leave as soon as you can, Odasaku. He might hurt you.” The brunette frowned.

The red haired shook his head, denying the other’s suggestion.

“I’ll stay as long as I can. The most he can do is kick me out. He seems to be attached to you so he won’t use you to threaten me.”

The brunette nodded understandingly, rubbing his eyes tiredly, they were utterly dry and sore.

The red haired, now known as Oda looked worriedly at the other as his hand approached the other’s arm which was holding onto the blanket. The brunette retracted his own hand back, shaking his head.

Nodding in a comforting way, he sighed. The brunette looked alright and safe, he only looked a little shaken up. That ginger must've done something but he didn’t know what and Dazai didn’t seem comfortable in telling.

“Is there any way I can help you?”

“ Help me in what way?” The brunette asked bluntly.

“To escape. I don’t trust that ginger who claims he’s taking care of you. What’s his name anyway?”

The brunette shuddered slightly as he replied, “Nakahara Chuuya.”

The redhead’s eyes widened as he softly whispered, “You mean that top student in your grade Chuuya?”

The brunette nodded reluctantly, biting his own lip.

“I can distract him and you can make a run for it.”

The brunette, about to answer, suddenly inched towards the wall, body shaking slightly as Oda raised a confused brow, “I knew I couldn’t leave you two alone.”

The redhead gulped when he heard the cold voice from behind him.

He slowly and hesitantly turned to come face to face with the ginger who had seemingly appeared out of thin air without being noticed.

“Why are you, in the first place, locking Dazai in his own room?”  The red head retorted boldly as if challenging the other.

“You sure are talkative.” The ginger scoffed, bringing a penknife up to the others neck.

Oda gasped when he felt the cold and sharp blade touch his throat.

“Don't underestimate pen knives, they can be hella sharp.” The ginger smirked as he used the blade forwards slightly, grazing the other’s skin slightly, not even to draw blood but enough to inflict slight pain.

The brunette bit his lip, Chuuya was definitely contemplating on killing his friend. His only friends at that. Thinking on what to do, the brunette glanced from the redhead to the ginger. The first thing that popped up in his mind wasn’t delightful but it was his only hope to stop Chuuya.

“Chuuya…” The brunette started, voice slightly hoarse and shaky. He was terrified right now. He caught a glimpse of the ginger glancing at him, concern in his eyes. His attention drifting away from the redhead but the blade was still at his neck, ready to slit it whenever needed.

The brunette shakily continued, “Chuuya, if you kill Odasaku, I won’t love you.”

The redhead’s eyes widened as he glanced at the brunette and soon he turned to face the ginger, glaring daggers through him but Chuuya didn’t bother about him, his full attention was on Dazai and Dazai only.

Chuuya, seemingly shocked at the brunette, hastily removed the penknife from the other’s neck. Seems like Dazai had found a weakness from the ginger, he now had some power over the other but he mustn't abuse it.

The ginger only smiled, approaching the brunette, hand resting on the younger’s head as he hummed, “Aren’t you starting to get needy? Fine I’ll let red hair stay but one step out of line and he’s dead.”

He turned to face the taller behind him, “And you, I expect you to leave in an hour. You can come back tomorrow.”

The brunette looked hopefully at the Oda who was only looking at him, only concern plastered all over his face.

“Thanks Chuuya.” The brunette said softly, planning on not allowing the ginger to change his mind.

Chuuya seemed pleased with the answer, sighing in content before leaving the room.
