Bill: Everyone come inside dinners ready!
Bill shouted interrupting our conversation.
We both got up and started walking inside the house as little Miko joined us.
I sat next to Ellie at the dinner table.
As I was about to pick up a bite of food from my plate I heard a familiar voice.
Tom: Hey bill have you seen my lighter?
He questioned his twin brother paying attention to his phone.
He looked up not hearing his brother's answer and his brown eyes met mine.
I quietly gulped feeling nervous seeing him.
He froze examining me.
His facial expression looked hurt.
Then Sasha's pale hand met his as she glared at me.
Sasha: I had a bad feeling in my gut something trashy was gonna happen today well someone trashy.
Mia: Are you talking about yourself?
I questioned with a grin.
Sasha: Please, Mia you are the definition of trashy.
Mia: What ever floats your boat Sasha, I'm just here to see my best friend.
Sasha: You could have invited her somewhere instead of imposing on everyone's life here.
Xavier: Or you can shut up and stop trying to start a argument with my fiancée.
I looked at Xavier and gave him a quick smile which he returned.
Tom: Fiancée?..
He said finally snapping out of his trance.
Xavier: Madeline is my fiancée.
Tom: Madeline?
He said pulling his head back.
Mia: That's my name.
He looked at me confused.
Bill: Ok enough with that, let's eat.
He said.
My attention went back to my plate.
Tom and Sasha sat across from me.
The whole dinner I felt their stares on me.
It was usually Tom trying to get my attention but I would ignore him then Sasha would noticed and glare at me.
I looked up and accidentally made eye contact with Tom.
I couldn't look away.
Sasha's angry fist slammed on the table causing some things to spill.
A glass of water spilled on my shirt.
I sprung up out of my seat as I felt how cold the water was.
I looked at Sasha.
Mia: What's your problem?!?!
Sasha: Your my problem bitch!
She said getting up.
I turned my head to look at a scared Miko.
Our arguing made him scared.
Mia: Whatever Sasha.
I said lowering my tone.
I was walking away with Ellie and Miko when someone pulled the back of my shirt aggressively causing it to stretch out.
I turned around and saw Sasha.
Sasha: I'm not done.
Xavier went in front of my blocking me from Sasha.
Mia: Tom get your bitch.
He growled pulling Sasha's arm.
Sasha: So your just going to let her speak to me like that?!?!
Tom: Just ignore her Sasha.
Tom: Let's go back to the room.
She nodded and followed Tom back to their room.
I stood there trying to calm myself down.
She knew how to make me angry.
Time skip 2 hours later
Time: 2 am
I couldn't sleep.
I really tried.
I sat up from the bed I was sharing with Xavier in a guest room.
I looked at a sleeping Xavier wishing that was me.
I quietly got up and walked out of the room.
I went to the kitchen getting a glass of water.
I heard footsteps approaching me.
It was Tom, I finally got a good look of him.
He was taller, still had his black cornrows. He definitely was more attractive.
I groaned rolling my eyes.
Tom: You do not get to have attitude.
He said coldly.
Mia: I'll stop giving you attitude when you control her.
Tom: You deserve it.
Mia: Bullshit!
Tom: What do you mean bullshit?!?!
Tom: You left all of our lives Mia! And got a fiancé?!?!
Mia: I left because I didn't want you to get hurt!
Mia: And me getting a fiancé had nothing to do with this, he makes me happy!
Tom: Damnit Mia! The only thing that could've hurt me was you leaving!!
He yelled glaring at me.
I was speechless.
It was silent for a bit.
Tom: Then you left..
Mia: I don't understand why me leaving affected you so much, you literally hate me.
Tom: If I hated you I would have never token a bullet for you. But you fucking left me and everyone else. The only thing I felt was anger and I still feel it.
Tom: You left for 2 years and now you come back thinking everything will be ok.
Mia: I left for a reason tom!
Tom: A stupid reason. I really thought you were smart but your more dumber than your decision.
Mia: Fuck you tom! I did it to save you!
Tom: You didn't save shit!
As we were arguing I felt my hatred grow.
Mia: I did what I thought was right!
Tom: And now look at you, everyone in here is scared that one day we will wake up and you won't be here with us!
Mia: Is that such a bad thing! I was suffocating in your bipolar mess!! I needed to get out.
Tom: You were the best thing that happened to me in this cruel world!!
Tom: I didn't know how to treat you! You were different from all the other girls I saw.
Mia: All the girls you slummed it with! Sasha is just your recent slut!
Tom: Why are you still bringing her up?!?!
Mia: Because we had something! And you ignored it by getting with her!! And now that I found someone who makes me happy your bothered by it?!?!
Tom: You want me to hate you?!?! Fine!
Tom: I hate the way you weren't around, and the fact you didn't even call. I hate the way you used to make me laugh and smile, even worried.
Tom: But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you, not even close, not even at all...
He said as he lowered his voice.
He sounded like he was going to cry.
Did I hurt him that much?
He never expressed his emotions to me like this.
Something inside of me took over.
I walked up to him putting my warm hands on his cheeks turning his head towards me.
I looked into his watery eyes as I felt myself tear up too.
I pulled him close closing my eyes.
Our foreheads and noses were brushed up against each other.
Mia: I'm so sorry...
I managed to get out.
His lips were seconds away from touching mines until someone pulled me away.
It was Ellie.
She dragged me into the backyard.
Ellie: Girl what are you doing!
I sat down realizing what would have happened if she didn't pull me away.
Mia: I- I don't know...
She sighed sitting down next to me pulling me into her arms.
