"Adrienne you ready yet?"I knocked on the door
"Give me like 20 more minutes."She said
"We gotta go you taki-
I opened the door and saw her in the closet looking for shoes.She turned around and god damn😍😍.
"Druex get out of here boy.I don't have any make up on"She said
"You look amazing."I said
She smiled."Im not ready."
"You look ready to me."I said
"Im not going out without make up so just wait a little longer."She complained
"Fine do your thing."I said and went back downstairs
Finally after a good 20 minutes I heard her shoes clacking against the floors.I looked up and saw her walking down the stairs.I grabbed her hand and helped her down.
"You look beautiful."I said
"Thank you.Now where are you taking me?"She asked
"You'll see."I said
She rolled her eyes and mocked me."You'll see."
I chuckled."C'mon."
I grabbed her hand and led her to my Range Rover.I opened her door and let her get in before going over to the drivers seat.I looked at her.
"You ready?"I asked
She nodded and smiled.I started the car and after a good 30 minutes she started to get inpatient.
"Druex!!"She whined
I laughed."Adrienne calm down only like 15 more minutes."
She was a whiner but I found it cute.
We finally arrived at Marina Del Rey for our Gondola ride.
Adrienne Pov
I looked out the window and saw these beautiful boats.I don't know what their called but they look amazing.I was kind of nervous I haven't been on a date in years.That's why it took me so long to get ready I was stalling.Alright focus Adrienne.
He got out and opened my door for me and grabbed my hand.He lead me over to our boat when I realized something.I feel like ive seen this before.
"Isn't this the same place you took Amanda?"I turned to him
He looked at me."Yeah."
"Look Druex this is really beautiful and I don't want to sound ungrateful or anything but how is this special if you've already taken another girl here?I want us to create our own memories at different places you know?And im not saying it has to cost a fortune because to me it's the little things that count.But I don't want to be just another girl you've brought here."I said
He looked down."I understand.We can go if-
"No I still want to get on.Just for future reference."I said and grabbed his hand
He smiled and helped me on the boat.We sat down and he poured me a glass of wine.It was almost dark and the sun was setting.
"This is so beautiful."I said looking around
"Just like you."He said
I smiled."That was cheesy but i'll take it."
He laughed.
"So I wanna know more about you."He said
"What do you want to know?"I asked
"Everything.Where were you born,what was your childhood like,you favorite things to do.Stuff like that."He said
"Well I was born in Richmond,Virginia.My childhood was rocky.I don't know my family just went through alot when I was growing up.I lived in Richmond until I was about 9 or 10 when my grandfather passed away we moved to Petersburg and that's when I met Trey.We had a few classes together in middle school.Anyway we dated through highschool and we really bonded the most over music.We would skip class to go to the music room and sing together.But my childhood got cut short when I got pregnant at 17 and was the laughing stock of the school because Trey had gone on to pursue his music career.Anyway yeah enough about me.What about you Mr."Fizz"."
He chuckled.
"I don't want to talk about me.It's all about you.What is your ethnicity?"He asked
"My mom is Dominican and my dad is black.What are you?"I asked him
"Creole."He said
"You from Louisiana?"I asked
"Yeah born and raised for the most part."He said
I nodded."So your family lives there or they live here?"
"I moved my close family here with me my sister and mom but the rest of them are still back home."He said
"I want to bring my family out here but my abuela is deeply rooted in her house.She's lived in the same house for 40 years.I don't think she would move."I said
"My mom didn't really want to.I wanted to get her out if the bad neighborhood so I used the excuse that she needed to be closer to Kameron."He said
I smiled then looked up and saw the boat had already made it back to the dock.
"It's over already?"I whined
He smiled."C'mon."
He grabbed my hand and helped me out.We made it back to the car and he opened my door and then went to his side and got in.
He looked at me.
"Did you have a good time?"He asked
"Yes.Thank you.I haven't been on a date in years.It was perfect."I said
"Years?Weren't you with Trey?"He asked
"He never took me out on a date."I said looking out the window
"Damn all that money and a nigga can't take you to dinner?"He said
"That's why I appreciate you.Alot of guys wouldn't take the time and effort to do anything for me."I said
"I couldn't imagine why.I would give you the world.You rarely find good women these days."He said
"I could say the same about men."I mumbled looking at the road
He looked at me."You okay?"
"Yeah im good."I slightly smiled
He grabbed my hand and rubbed his thumb across it.
"Can I ask you something?"I said
He looked at me."What's up?"
"Do you think we could be together?My past relationships have both failed and I kinda feel like it was my fault."I said
"Why do you feel like that is the question."He said
"Well my boyfriend after Trey took care of me and Xavier and we lived together but sometimes he would put his hands on me.I told Trey he didn't do it much but it was.If I didn't clean the house or cook his dinner the way he wanted I would get slapped.If he saw me talking to another guy I was definitely getting beaten with a belt and they way I lost my child was I spent a night at Trey's house.He punched and kicked and threw my body all around the house."Druex looked at me as I wiped a few tears
"He was bipolar and he told me he was taking his medication everyday. Obviously that was a lie."I said
"He was bipolar?He's not anymore?"He asked
"He killed himself a few months ago.I don't even know how he got in Trey's house.He shot himself right in front of me."I broke down in tears
Druex stopped the car and came over to my side of the car.He picked me up and sat me on his lap.
"Hey look at me.He's in a better place."He said
"I don't think he is."I mumbled
He sighed and held me close to him.I listened to his heart beat to calm me.I felt it skip a beat.I looked up at him.
"That's what happens when you're close to me."He smiled
I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you."I said
"Im always here no matter what alright?"He said
I nodded and kissed his cheek.He wiped my tears.
"Now let's get home.It's getting dark out here."He said
I looked up at the pinkish purple sky as he got back in the drivers seat and started the car.
3 weeks later
"Yeah that's fine."I said to my realtor
"Now that we've got all that situated you can sign here."She handed me the papers
I'm I signed my name and smiled at Druex.
"Well she's all yours Miss Adrienne."She smiled at me and left
"Your own place."He said walking around
"Yeah.I cant believe it."I said
"You know what you told me a couple weeks ago right?"He said
"No I don't remember."I said playfully
"You said that after you get your own place you would be my girlfriend."He said and grabbed my hands
"I did didn't I.Well I guess that means im yours right?"I asked
"Mmhm."He said and kissed my lips
He wrapped is arm around my waist and pulled me closer.I pulled away and smiled.
"Trey's supposed to be here soon.So be nice please."I said
"Im always nice."He said
I smiled.I heard the doorbell and went to open it.
"Mommy!!"Xai yelled
I picked him up and hugged him.
"Hey baby."I kissed his cheek
"Hi Ash."I kissed his cheek too
I let them in.
"It's nice in here."Trey said
"You like it?"I asked
He nodded.
I smiled.Druex came out the kitchen and he and Trey looked at each other.
"Mommy this is our new house?"Xai asked
"Yes it is buddy now you can stay with Mommy."I said
"Yayy!"He said
I saw Ashton squirm in Trey's arms so I grabbed him and held him.
"Hi handsome."He smiled
I kissed his cheek repeatedly.
"He said Da a few weeks ago he won't do it anymore though."Trey said
"Foreal?He's so smart.You just gotta say Mama."I said
"Say Mama Ash!"I said
He just giggled.
I smiled.
"Trey can I keep them for the rest of the day?I'll bring them back later."I said
"Of course.I gotta go so just call me when you wanna bring them home."He said
"Okay."He hugged me and kissed my cheek then left
"So what do you want to do?"I asked
"CHUCKE E CHEESE!!"Xai said
"Okay.You can invite Kam and Moniece."I said to Druex
He nodded."He loves Chuck E Cheese.They're probably there already."
I smiled."Alright then lets go."
LATER
We sat down at the table with Moniece.Ashton was asleep in his carseat right now thank god.Anyway Kam and Xavier went to go play so we ordered pizza for them.
"Hi,how are you Moniece?"I said to her
"Im good thanks."She said
Druex looked at the two of us then back at his phone and chuckled.
"Um I know we got off on the wrong foot but since you too are dating now I would like for us to be on the same page."She said
"I feel the same way."I said
"So firstly I would like to apologize for the way I acted toward you before."She said
Druex looked up confused.
"You sick or something?"He said
I smiled.
"No Druex mind your business."She said
"Apology accepted."I said
The waiter came over with our pizza and we all grabbed a few slices.
"I swear Chuck E Cheese pizza is the best."She said
"Foreal."I said and took a bite
Then Ash woke up and started to tear up.
"No Ash please don't cry.Mommy's right here."I said and took him out the seat
Druex took the seat from between us and put it under the table.
"Thank you."I said
"Naw you good."He said
Ashton started reaching for my plate.
"Babe you can't eat pizza.You don't have any teeth."I said and kissed his cheek
He slapped my face and started to throw a little tantrum.
"Ok ok."I said and broke off some pizza for him
Druex chuckled at my frustration.
"I swear im not having any more kids.Im officially over it."I said
After Ash finished his little piece the boys came running over.
"You're still it!"Xai said
"You guys having fun?"I asked them
They nodded and I made them plates.
"Give this to me."Druex said taking the plates out if my hands
I shook my head."Sorry it's in my nature."I chuckled
"Mommy can Ash play with us?"Xai said
"I don't think so Bubba.He's too little.He can't get on this stuff with you."I said
"He can go meet Chuckee though."I said as chuckee walked over to us
"Ash say hi Chuckee!"I said and waved his arm
He held on to me tight and put his face in my chest.
"We don't like Chuckee?"I said to him
"Okay."I said
"Mommy take my picture for Daddy."Xai said and stood next to him
"Get your brother in there too."I said
"Here lemme take the picture.You get in it.You too Druex and Kam."Moniece said
"Oh thank you."I said and handed her my phone
I put Ash on my hip and stood next to Chuckee.
"1,2,3."She said
"Cheese!!"We said
"Thank you"I said
"You guys tired yet?"I asked Xai and Kam
They shook their heads no and ran off again.
"Sometimes I forget how hard this is.Since they stay with Trey."I said to Druex before sighing
"You tired?"He said and rubbed my leg
I nodded.
"We'll leave in about a half hour."He said
"No we don't have to leave.I'll live."I said
"You sure?"He said
"Yeah yeah."I said
I grabbed a bottle from Ashton's bag and shook it up.He reached for it and I put it in his mouth.All I can say is my god he was hungry.I burped him and he fell asleep on my chest.
"You giving me baby fever."Moniece said
"Here you want this one?"I said and chuckled
She did too.
"I wasn't even thinking about another baby before I got pregnant with him.I already knew what two kids was gonna be like.But his Daddy had baby fever foreal and here we are."I said
She smiled at him."He's so yummy."
"Thank you.That is all from his mama."I said
"Girl he look like his Dad.So does Xavier."She said
"I can believe it's true.He got some strong genes."I laughed
She smiled."Your pretty cool Adrienne."
"Thanks you too."I said
Druex pulled his phone up in my face on a snapchat video.
"There's my lady and her lil man and there's my babymama looking good over there."He said recording all of us
"Druex you gonna post that?"I asked
"Uh yeah that was the point.Why?"He said
"It's just Trey's fans are aggy and they will slander my ass to pieces."I said
"Fuck them you not living for them."He said posting it to his story
I smiled.
"Lemme hit you with that selfie."He said and I smiled as he mean mugged the camera
"Why don't you smile meanie?"I said
"You want me to smile?"He said
"Yes."I said
He smiled and looked at me then snapped the picture.I saw him posting it on Instagram.
"My lady and I enjoying some fun time with our boys at Chuck E Cheese👀👌🏼" was his caption.
I looked at the comments.

"Yall ready to go?"Druex asked the boys as they walked over
"Yes im tired."Xai rubbed his eyes
"Ooh nap time!!"I said and got up pulling up my jeans
I got out the booth and picked up Ashton's carseat putting him in and putting a blanket over just incase paparazzi are outside.I bent and over to pick it up but Druex grabbed it for me.
"Thank you."I said
He nodded and kissed my forehead.
I grabbed the boys hands as we made it outside with Druex and Moniece behind me.
"Is Kam coming back with you?"I asked her
"Yeah has the weekends with me."She said
I nodded.
"Bye Kam Kam."I bent over and hugged him
"Bye."He said
They walked to their car and Druex came beside me and rested his hand over my butt.
"That big ass latin booty you got."He said
I blushed.
"Wait til you hear my Spanish."I whispered in his ear
"When will I hear that?"He said
"Whenever you can get me to call you Papi."I said in an accent
He smirked.
