Preeta was sitting in the hall reading a novel waiting for karan

"Where are you karan?"she self talked looking at the time it's past midnight

"Abhi tum hare sath karungi na..."preeta said giving him a toothy grin while he glared at her
"Acha sorry ab lecture mat dena sath mein karte hai"preeta said taking out the heated dinner
"Babydoll I want you to take care of yourself.."karan said pulling her on his lap as she laid the dinner on the table
"Uske liye tum ho na karan"preeta said encircling her arm around his neck
"That's not the good excuse to spare you from lecturing..."karan said
"Leave about me did you even look at yourself you look so damm tired..."preeta said keeping her finger on his forehead to message it
"You know right this deal is so much important if everything went well I will be winning the businessman of the year award"karan said
"That you will win I know it for sure"preeta said kissing his right cheek
"If I win babydoll I will be asking you something promise me you won't deny it..."karan asked looking into her eyes
"I promise you..."preeta said joining their forehead together
"Stop doing that..."preeta said holding his hands as they revolved around her waist making her feel tickling

She still remembers how impatiently he waited for the dinner to get over with what she always liked the desperation in him for her how he grabbed her when she kept the used utensils in the bin to wash

He could hear a chuckle making him shake his head
Preeta was pulled from her thoughts by the knock on the door
"Di,why is your locked? Open it now..."shrishty shouted from outside
Preeta take a deep breath wiping away the sweat beet from her forehead

Karan is sitting in his cabin lost in his thoughts it's been a month since he has seen her or talk to her or take her in arms to never let go
Yesterday night meeting all friends and family just remind him of her

The whole hotel is booked for the ceremony as the top most businessesman are going to attend it with some foreign business man and Asia head too

While Mahesh luthra keep looking at the hall entrance waiting for karan while Sameer was constantly trying to call him as soon his name will be called
Raman has gone to Delhi for a important meeting and he will not be able to attend the award show
"So finally the businessman of the year award hmm the man deserves it to no extent no doubt so the award goes to Mr. karan luthra.."anchor announce clapping her hand

He walked to the stage keeping the glass on one of the table
"Thank you so much but these award doesn't matter in my life these days as the one who used to enjoy my success is not with me .."karan said keeping the award back
"Mr. Luthra as we know you are not going with a good phase in your life but kehte hai dukh batne se Kam hota hai kuch suna dejiye bahot din ho gaye apne kuch Gaya nahi..."lady anchor said with a genuine smile
"I am not in the mood..."karan said
"Apne lady luck ke liye..."anchor tried one more time and it worked
The seat is placed and a guitar is given to him
