"Dada.. Soo..ie"

"No, kitten. Daddy and Soonie
aren't in the kitchen.
Shall we look in daddy's office?"

"Dada…nom."

"Right, it's time for lunch,
my sweet boy."

Jisung chuckled as he lifted his
little son up in his arms and placed
a soft kiss on his chubby baby cheek.

The tiny boy mumbled something
to himself while his mommy
carried him to Minho's office,
knocking gently on the door
before he opened it carefully.

"Min?"

"Yes, my love?"

"Kitten decided that it's kitten
and dad quality time now."

And Minho couldn't help but smile
widely when his husband placed
their small son on the ravenette's lap.

"Hi kitten.
Did you miss daddy?"

"Dada!"

Akemi squeaked cutely as a
wide smile spread over his face,
his tiny hands going up to
cup his father's cheeks.

"I missed you too, little one.
So so much, daddy almost
went insane."

And Jisung couldn't help but
coo when his husband peppered
their son's squishy face with little
kisses, making him giggle in the
most adorable way.

His laugh was the absolutely cutest,
especially since you could always
see his two bunny teeth.

Like daddy, like son.

"Dada.. Nom.."

"Oh, someone's hungry?
Is your cute little tummy empty, hm?"

Minho smiled widely as he tickled
their baby's chubby tummy, earning
some more adorable giggles.

Akemi had only started to speak
a few weeks ago but his favorite
words so far were definitely
'dada', 'nom', 'mama' and 'soo-ie'.

Yeah, Soonie definitely never gave
up his guardian kitty role and always
made sure to stay at least in the
same room as Akemi.

"Let's go then, I bet the food your
amazing mommy made is already
starting to get cold, hm?"

And the tiny boy only giggled
when his daddy placed a long
smooch on his son's chubby cheek.

Eating had never been and would
probably never be Akemi's thing.

It had taken weeks to persuade the
small child that baby food was very
much edible and that it was about
time to eat something different
than just his mommy's milk.

And he was so unbelievably picky.

"Okay, kitten. Today's lunch is
either sweet squash and chicken or..
Carrots and peas if you don't like that.
But we gotta try new things, hm?"

Jisung placed the two glasses of
baby food on the table and pecked
his son's head when Akemi already
whined in unhappiness.

Instead of having lunch he wanted
to stay in his daddy's arms for some
more cuddles but his parents
had a strict rule.

First eating, then cuddles.

And they hadn't bought the
high chair for nothing.

"Mama.. Nom.."

"Right, my sweet love.
Will you eat without throwing
a tantrum today?"

"Mama.."

Akemi looked at his mommy
when Jisung sat down beside
him and ran his hand over the
soft fluff of black hair.

But it only needed his mom
reaching for the small bowl for
the small boy to frown in an all
too familiar way.

"Kitten, it's yummy food. See?
Daddy will test it for you, sweetie."

Minho took the bowl from his
husband and motioned for Jisung
to start eating his own lunch.

He had already spent the whole
morning trying to get their son to
finish his breakfast, he deserved
a break.

"Mhhhm, so yummy.
Come on, if daddy says it's yummy,
you can eat it, kitten."

The ravenette tried to persuade
their little boy as he lifted the spoon
up to his mouth, hoping that
Akemi would cooperate.

"Dada, Soo-ie!"

"You can cuddle with Soonie when
you've finished your lunch, kitten.
Now open wide, sweetie."

And with a few more gentle nudges
against the boy's lips with the spoon,
Minho was able to convince
their son to eat a bit.

"Good boy. Is it yum?
Your mommy really likes chicken.
Or do you prefer steak more
like daddy?"

"Mama.."

"Min, he's not even a year old
and I don't think there's baby
food with steak in it, don't get
his hopes high."

Jisung chuckled but much to their
surprise Akemi took the next spoon
without another complaint as if he
hoped he'd get steak as dessert.

Or maybe he liked the chicken,
who knows?

"Are you full, kitten?
Come on, one more spoon, then
you can snuggle with mommy
while I have my lunch, hm?"

But Akemi only whined softly,
reaching his tiny arms up to make
grabby hands at his mommy with
his eyes already droopy.

Eating was exhausting,
it always was for him.

"Alright, you did good now.
Come here, kitten."

Jisung smiled and took their son
from his husband so he could place
a soft kiss on his head.

Their tiny boy immediately curled
up in his mommy's arms, a cute
sigh escaping him as his eyes
fluttered close.

He had already grown so much,
it was hard to imagine that the
small boy in his arms had once
fitted in his tummy.

And it was hard to believe that
it's been over half a year already
since Akemi had come into
the world.

Sure, the first weeks had been
quite rocky but now Jisung couldn't
imagine a life without his tiny
kitten anymore.

Being a parent was exhausting,
undoubtedly.

The brunette still had days where
he'd go to bed with tears in his eyes,
overwhelmed and tired when his
son had one of his bad days too.

But moments like these when
Akemi fell asleep in his arms
with this adorable pout on his
face and his small chubby hands
holding tightly onto his mommy's
shirt made it all worth it.

And he wasn't alone in this,
he had an amazing husband by
his side who'd do anything for
Jisung and their sweet little kitten.

life's hectic, I'm working on other
books and my new semester is
about to start!

Anyway I hoped you enjoyed this book,
even if I'm not happy with the ending
it's still one of my favorite books so far.
I just like their characters and
babie kitten Akemi so much <3

I know I did ask my followers if they
wanted Minsung or Seungjin next but
since I've written far more chapters
for the minsung omegaverse fluff
so far, I'll finish that one first!
