Marcus pov
The moment when Esmerelda showed me that pregnancy test my heart exploded, I would never expect to be at the place where I am now, and it was all because of her.
I could see the disappointment on her face, not only was she scared but she was shocked. I know she has a lot of health issues but I would have never expected for her to tell me that she couldn't have kids. She has said she doesn't want kids but she's afraid, Esmerelda never admits it because she barely has any fears. She claims she doesn't want her children to become the same monster she is.
At that moment I wanted to put her in my arms and reassure her, telling her that she is no monster. If anything she's an angel in disguise, she saved me many times, physically and mentally. She even went out of her way to help Billy and save his future from being ripped apart, she's even doing Xavier a favor, well... Sorta. She saved Maria from being killed by Chico's family, we both didn't deserve it but she forgave us.
I have to admit I would be happy to have a kid with Esmerelda if she wanted to, but my time with her made me realize that I have to take my time with her. She feels like she's in a rush because she's afraid of time running out, life may be too short but we both deserve a happy ending to this shitty life we inherited.

I've talked to both boys and they both promised to end their feud for my sake at least. While in class, Xavier passes me a note and I open it up.
"What do you say? Me, you, the legacy dance tonight?"
"Really? Are you still on that? Fine, it's not like I have anything else better to do."
As we're talking some random guy in the hallway who's with I'm assuming, his girlfriend continues to talk about Xavier and me.
"You got some nerve to talk about me but can't say it to my face, go ahead and speak a little louder so we can hear you. C'mon man, don't get all shy now."
"I said you're a little bitch, how embarrassing is that she's the one controlling you. God I would be caught dead letting a girl put me on a leash, I don't blame you though. She does have a nice ass."
"Really? In front of your girl? You took sharing is caring too seriously, both of you are so fucking delusional, and your a punk ass bitch.."
"Do it." He says through his teeth. They both start pushing each other until I see the girl pull out her switchblade.
"No sweetheart put that down before you get hurt, you put one hand on him and I will shoot you right between the eyes, I think we have class together, we both know I don't miss." I open my blazer slightly to reveal the handgun in there. She looks at me nervously until she stops her boyfriend and pulls him away.
"I knew it was normal to pick fights here but shit, this is every day."
"I'm so done with this shit, well I'll see you later, and don't try to get into a fight, I'm not going to the dance with you if you have a black eye."
"For your information, I've never had one, I always give them to people, my face is the money maker. It has had a few cuts but nothing too bad, get ready because I know how long you take."
"I may take forever but in the end, I always look good, that's why your jaw is always dropping." I go inside my room and pick out a dress.
The girls come over so I can do their hair and gossip as usual, I'd never thought in my life that you would experience girl's time. I've never actually had friends before, guys are irritating, and hanging out with girls is more exciting and fun.
We all hear a knock on my door and says opens the door to Xavier, she looks at him up and down in disgust.
"I will gauge your eyes out if you keep looking at me like that, Can I speak to Esmerelda?" He sarcastically asks.
"Lemme talk to you bud, since you're taking out my best friend, let's set some ground rules. If you disrespect her in any kind of way, I will cut off your dick and I will bury you in a grave myself. Are we fucking clear?" Saya takes out her katana and points it at him.
"Yes ma'am." Saya opens up the door completely and lets him in, the smile on his face disappears, and he looks at me and down and licks his lips.
"Not bad, you clean up quite nicely." He takes out his hands from his pockets and offers me his arm. I take it and as we're walking out of my room and look back at Saya and Maria to see them fake making out. I stick out my middle finger at them and they start laughing.
"I was kidding, you look beautiful." He whispers in my ear.
As we enter the room, we notice that everyone's eyes are on us. He pulls me off to the side and people stop staring.
"Why is everyone staring at us?"
"Now that cariño is because we're hot. You can't tell me you haven't had a group of people stare at you."
"I've had but only to see which one is going to kill me first. I guess there's a first time for everything. Did you bring it?" He knows what I'm talking about and shows me the inside of his blazer.
"Of course, this dance would be boring if we didn't drink a little." He takes out his flask and hands it to me, I take a hard swig and almost end up spitting it out.
"Oh my god it's vodka, couldn't have given me a heads up? I can't even take it without it tasting what I imagined acetone would taste like."
"I forgot about that, shouldn't I not be giving it to you?"
"Trust me, it Doesn't matter." To lighten up the mood he offers me to dance to a slow song.

"I guess you're not that of a bad dancer." He jokes around.
"I'm a way better dancer, I'm Mexican, it's in my blood." He twirls me and grabs me by my waist then pulls me close to him. Swaying side to side with him was quite fun but Marcus is a natural even though he says he's never done it before.
Midway through dipping me, he lets go and I fall to the ground, I thought people would be laughing but instead I hear screams. I get up slowly to see Xavier passed out on the ground, my back is in pain but I pull through.
"Xavier?" I crawl to him but I notice a familiar someone lurking around.
"Marcus? What the hell are you doing here?" I see him with a dart in his hand.
"What are YOU doing here? I thought you said you weren't coming. Oh shit, what did you do guys?" he yells at Billy and Lex who look at each other confused.
"Were we not supposed to do that? Oops, I thought we still hated him, I told you not to do it Lex!" both dimwits look worried and I take the dart out of his shoulder.
"C'mon help me pick him up!" Me and Marcus put his arms over our shoulders and carried him to his room.
"God this man is heavy," I whine.
"You one to talk, most of his weight is on me, I'm doing you a favor."
"My hero," I say sarcastically, I open his door and we throw him on his bed. There we are, both out of breath. We leave his room and go back to mine.
"Was it your idea or the other two idiots' idea?"
"Both, I thought you weren't going to go and we wanted to get back at the legacies, my apologies I swear I did not tell them to do that. It was funny to see Viktor hit face-first against a table, good times. One question, is Xavier a better dancer than me?" He twirls my hair with his fingers.
"Now you're just being mean, and Xavier's not bad, he's been dancing at several balls, You a natural. That's the difference."
"I'm also a natural at something else, I may have bought you this dress but that doesn't mean I won't rip it off you."
"You better not, I like it, I swear if that dart would have hit me you would been in big trouble."
"How much?"
"To the point where I wouldn't even let you touch me for two months." I pushed away from Me.
"Now that's just cruel."
