𝚗𝚎𝚠 𝚘𝚛𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚗𝚜, 𝚕𝚘𝚞𝚒𝚜𝚒𝚊𝚗𝚊

Brinley was just about to walk down the stairs when the compound suddenly began to violently shake making her grab onto the railing so she wouldn't fall.

"What the hell is going on?" Brinley asked looking down to see Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah, and Hayley standing in the living room looking alarmed

"Davina." Klaus stated grimly

Brinley looked between the siblings and Hayley with wide eyes before turning around and speed walking towards the teenage witch's bedroom. She opens the door and finds Davina laying back weakly against her pillows.

"Oh honey." Brinley sighed in sympathy, walking forward she grabbed a washcloth from a tray in dipped it into a cold bowl of water

Brinley wrung the excess water out of the washcloth and walked over to Davina sitting down carefully next to her, she placed the cloth across the young girls forehead and grabbed her hand.

"Hey. What kind of game do you think you're playing? I said disrupt the household, not destroy the whole city." Rebekah said as she came into the room making Davina sigh

"I didn't do it. Not on purpose. I-- I don't know what's wrong with me." Davina stuttered with tearful eyes making Brinley and Rebekah share a look

"Shh. Get some rest. We'll figure this out." Brinley whispered as she soothingly played with Davina's hair making the young girl lean into her touch

Davina fell asleep quickly and Brinley left the room after Rebekah promised to stay with the sleeping girl, she walked down into the living room where Klaus, Marcel, and Elijah were.

"We have to do something. She's terrified." Brinley said making her presence known

"This is madness. How can a 16-year-old girl shake the entire French quarter?" Klaus scoffed as he stepped closer to Brinley, wrapping his arm around her waist

"I've seen her rock the church, but I've never seen anything like this." Marcel sighed

"How did you control her when she was in the attic?" Klaus asked and Marcel rolled his eyes

"I didn't have to. But then, I never killed her boyfriend." Marcel said accusingly making Klaus roll his eyes

"Yes, yes. We've been over this part already. The point is in her present state she's useless as a tool against the witches." Klaus said before wincing as Brinley elbowed him in the ribs harshly

"Nik." Brinley warned

"She's not a tool." Marcel seethed

"Something's wrong with her." Klaus said

"She has too much power that she cannot control. That much we already knew. But why is it manifesting itself in such an aggressive manner?" Elijah pondered before he suddenly goes to leave the room.

Klaus and Brinley share a look of confusion before Klaus steps forward to stop him.

"Where are you going?" Klaus asked with furrowed brows

"This is witch business. Let's ask a witch." Elijah said before leaving

"Why didn't we think of that?" Brinley asked looking between the two remaining men in the room

"That's why we have Elijah. He's the brains and I'm everything else." Klaus smirked kissing Brinley's head before leaving the room

"Why do you care?" Marcel spoke up just as Brinley was getting ready to leave making her turn around with furrowed brows

"I'm sorry?" Brinley asked confused

"About Davina? Why do you care what happens to her? It's obvious the others just see her as a weapon and someone to control but not you. You seem to genuinely care about her safety." Marcel squinted

"She reminds me of someone from my past." Brinley smiled fondly. "My baby sister Natalie, she would've been turning 19 in July. She was kind and sweet and never knew a stranger. She was just learning how to play the violin too. I wasn't able to save my baby sister but I'm hoping maybe I can help save Davina."

Marcel said nothing and Brinley gave him a small smile before leaving in the direction Klaus left in.

Brinley paused when she passed one of the corridors hearing the sound of muffled sobs, she quietly followed them and found Hayley standing with her back facing her, her shoulders shaking as she cried.

"Hales? What's wrong?" Brinley asked stepping forward to put her hand on her shoulder

"Oh Brin. I'm sorry it's nothing." Hayley said spinning around and wiping under her eyes

"Bullshit. Spill." Brinley said crossing her arms over her chest making Hayley sigh

"Well you've already mastered the mom voice." Hayley chuckled before looking down. "I messed up with Elijah. Like mega big time."

"What does mega big time mean?" Brinley asked with furrowed brows

"I read through his journals and found where he buried his old girlfriend Celeste who was a powerful witch and told Sophie so she could find her remains because she promised if I did she would help with the curse put on my family. I told Elijah and he was so upset rightfully so but it was worse than that, I broke his word for him and he looked so betrayed." Hayley shook her head, upset by her own actions

"Wow. Yeah. That's mega big time." Brinley mumbled seeing Hayley's frown deepen. "Hayley. Elijah's a very noble man and his word means something to him, he's upset but eventually he will forgive you. I mean you're both immortal so I guess that means you have forever to make it up to him."

Brinley shrugged and Hayley just chuckled shaking her head fondly at the pregnant woman.

"Well hopefully it won't take that long." Hayley said

"Yeah hopefully. I want to live long enough to see Haylijah become an item." Brinley smiled and Hayley looked at her confused

"Haylijah?" Hayley asked

"Hayley plus Elijah equals Haylijah, duh! You guys obviously have a thing for each other and you would make such a badass couple." Brinley said excitedly making Hayley chuckle

"Calm down girl. I'm not even sure if Elijah will speak to me we are no where near that." Hayley said but Brinley just shrugged

"Someday." Brinley smiled and went to walk away before turning around. "It'll be alright Hales. You apologized and anyone can tell how sorry you are just by looking at your pouty face."

Hayley just chuckled as Brinley walked away, desperately hoping the girl was right.

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

Brinley was sitting down on the chair in Elijah's study with Klaus standing behind her with his hands resting on the back of her chair. Rebekah stood leaning against the wall beside of them and Elijah had just arrived with Sophie who looked between the group uncomfortably.

"So you have stolen the remains of the very person that Davina's been drawing for months. Would you care to explain this startling coincidence?" Elijah asked sternly

"I can't. I didn't even know who Celeste Dubois was until I--" Sophie spoke but is cut off when the house starts to shake violently, like the earthquake from earlier.

Sophie looks alarmed, but Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah seem merely irritated while Brinley was concerned that Davina was getting worse.

"Was that Davina?" Sophie asked with wide eyes

"Charming little habit she's developed." Klaus snarked

"And the earthquake I felt today?" Sophie asked

"Also Davina. And, she's taken to vomiting dirt." Rebekah added

"Oh. We have a huge problem." Sophie said panicked. "I thought that we had more time, but we need to complete the Harvest now."

"Said the desperate witch, conveniently." Klaus scoffed

"I'm serious! That earthquake you just felt is a preview of the disaster movie that is about to hit us." Sophie warned

"Why should we believe you?" Elijah asked

"You've met Davina, you know her story. For months now, she's been holding all the power of the three girls sacrificed in the Harvest ritual. A force that was meant to flow through her and back into the earth. One person was never meant to hold that much power. It's tearing her apart, and it will take us down with it." Sophie said making everyone look at each other grimly

"This is absolutely insane." Brinley scoffed standing from her seat and walking towards the doorway

"Where are you going?" Klaus asked with furrowed brows

"I'm going to sit with Davina and hope I can give her a little bit of comfort. You know before we let witch bitch over there slit her throat." Brinley said giving Sophie a pointed look

"Brinley it's the only way. It's we either finish the harvest, return the magic back to the earth, and Davina along with the others are resurrected. Or the magic consumes her and she dies for real." Sophie explained and Brinley crossed her arms over her chest

"She shouldn't even be in this fucking position anyway! She's a child! This is all your and your crazy covens fault for sacrificing your own children! You don't deserve to have that magic back, none of you do." Brinley snarled before storming out of the room leaving the others to look surprised by her outburst

"Nik. Why's she so attached to Davina? I mean no one likes this but Brin's taking it almost personally." Rebekah said her brows creased in worry

"I don't know." Klaus sighed

"Davina reminds her of her sister Natalie. She told me she couldn't save her sister but wants to do all she can to help save Davina." Marcel said stepping into the room gaining their attention

"Whose Natalie?" Sophie asked

"She was Brinley's little sister. She was killed along with their parents and older brother on Brinley's 16th birthday." Elijah remembered the story she had told him

Brinley walked into Davina's room to see the young girl still fast asleep but trembling and sweating. She sighed and walked towards her bedside quietly pulling a chair from the corner of the room to sit down on and she grabbed another washcloth from the table and dipped it in the bowl of cold water Marcel refilled earlier.

She dabbed the cloth along Davina's arms wiping off the sweat before doing the same to her chest and neck then she re wet it and laid it across her forehead.

The door to Davina's room opened and Rebekah stepped inside, giving Brinley a soft smile that she returned.

"How is she?" Rebekah asked as she grabbed another chair and pulled it next to Brinley's

"I don't know. She's burning up and restless." Brinley shook her head holding Davina's hand

"As much as it pains me to say it and believe me it really does because I hate Sophie and these witches. But I'm afraid they're right. I think we have to let Sophie finish the harvest." Rebekah said and Brinley clenched her jaw

"This sucks. This totally sucks." Brinley groaned and Rebekah nodded in agreement

"Yeah it does." Rebekah sighed grabbing Brinley's other hand and giving it a squeeze. "It wasn't your fault you know."

"Huh?" Brinley asked and Rebekah smiled sadly

"Your sister. Natalie. Her death wasn't on you, there's nothing you could've done to save her." Rebekah said and Brinley nodded and cleared her throat

"Yeah. Well I was still her big sister. She was my responsibility and it was my job to protect her and look after her and I didn't. I don't know I guess I just look at Davina and see Natty and I just want to protect her like I couldn't my own sister. I know it's stupid." Brinley scoffed and Rebekah shook her head

"It's not stupid. It's called being an older sibling. You know we lost our brother Henrik before we turned. He was my baby brother, my only younger sibling and I too felt like I failed him. But as the years went by I learned that I could blame myself all I wanted but it wouldn't bring him back. You can't bring them back Brin, but you can keep their memory alive and live everyday doing right by them be the wonderful mom I know you will be to your twins and make your family proud." Rebekah said and Brinley nodded squeezing her hand

"I will." Brinley nodded before sitting up straight. "We need to tell her what's going on. She deserves to know what's going to happen to her."

Just as Brinley finished Davina began to stir and blinked up lazily at the two women at her bedside.

"Brinley? Rebekah?" Davina mumbled

"We're here." Brinley answered reaching up to grab the washcloth on her forehead

"I feel awful." Davina groaned making the older girls exchange a look

"Davina there's something you should know. Sophie came by she felt the earthquakes and we told her how you've vomited dirt and she informed us that this is your body self destructing because of all the magic in your body from the harvest ritual." Rebekah started making Davina look at them with wide eyes

"What?" Davina mumbled and Brinley continued on for Rebekah

"As you self-destruct, you'll cycle through four stages that represent the four elements that bound together the Harvest. Earth was the first hence the earthquakes and the dirt." Brinley explained

"Then comes wind, and since each stage is more intense than the last, let's just say you'll blow the roof off this place." Rebekah continued

"Then after the wind is water. Rain, flood..." Brinley started before Davina interrupted

"How bad will it get?" Davina asked

"Quite bad, actually, but that's not the worst of it." Rebekah said sympathetically. "The last stage is fire, and since it's the last. It will be by far the worst."

Davina looked between the two girls with fearful eyes making Brinley look down knowing that the next part was going to make Davina's fear increase.

"Is there a way to stop it?" Davina asked and Brinley sighed

"They want to complete the Harvest." Brinley said and Davina instantly became hysterical

"No!" Davina exclaimed trying to sit up but Brinley grabbed her hand and pulled her back down

"Lay back down Vina. You're too weak right now." Brinley said pushing her back down

"The witches say you'll be resurrected." Rebekah tried to comfort her but Davina just shook her head

"They're liars! They'll say anything to get what they want. Just like Marcel. Just like you!" Davina exclaimed looking between both girls

"Davina." Brinley sighed but Davina shook her head and smacked her hand away

"No! I trusted you!" Davina exclaimed to Brinley making the woman frown

"Davina, you may think that I don't care about you, but you're wrong. I know what it's like to have your life stripped away from you because of other people's bad decisions. How do you think I became a vampire?" Rebekah asked before pulling a syringe out of her pocket gaining Davina's attention

"What--what is that?" Davina asked looking between both girls and the syringe fearfully

"The more upset you become, the faster you deteriorate. I compelled up some sedative." Rebekah calmly informed her but Davina just shook her head quickly

"No, no, no!" Davina cried making Brinley clench her jaw at the fear in her voice

"We keep you calm, we keep you alive, Davina." Rebekah said trying to soothe her as she grabbed her arm

"Stop!" Davina exclaimed trying to pull away. "No! Please! No! Please! Nooo!"

Extremely strong winds start to blow through the Quarter, bursting Davina's windows open making Brinley jump in shock. She quickly leaned forward and cupped Davina's face making the girl look at her.

"Vina. I need you to calm down. Please we don't want to hurt you and we don't want you to hurt yourself. So please be calm. I'm sorry we can't do more but we can help you find some comfort." Brinley said making Davina start breathing more steadily and Brinley gave her a soft smile. "Good job. This will all be over soon."

While Brinley had her distracted Rebekah carefully injected the sedative into Davina's arm making the girl flinch before her eyes became heavy and she was knocked out making the heavy wind stop.

Brinley and Rebekah exchanged a look and both exhaled heavily as they looked at the unconscious teen.

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

Brinley had been taking a nap in her and Klaus's room, the stress from the day giving her a terrible migraine which because of her pregnancy then led to extreme nausea and hardly being able to keep her eyes open.

She was awoken by Klaus storming into their room making her jump in surprise as he stopped seeing that she had been asleep.

"I'm sorry for waking you so abruptly my love." Klaus apologized sitting on the end of the bed

"It's ok, just sleeping off a migraine. What's wrong?" Brinley asked noticing the hybrids tense posture and clenched fists

"Davina's gone, we suspect Marcel took her to stop the harvest." Klaus said making Brinley's eyes widen

"What? We have to find them!" Brinley said sitting up but Klaus grabbed her hand

"Elijah's getting Sabine to perform a locator spell and Rebekah's checking around the quarter and anywhere else Marcel may hide. I'm off to check the church, you can accompany me if you'd like." Klaus offered knowing how invested Brinley has been when it came to this whole Davina situation thus far

"Yeah let's go. Let me get changed first." Brinley said standing up from the bed with Klaus's assistance before walking into their closet

Brinley just pulled her hair up into a messy ponytail and put on a pair of golden hoops and a golden necklace with a B on it. When she was ready her and Klaus walked downstairs where they saw Hayley standing in the courtyard packing up a bunch of canned food into cardboard boxes.

"Hey. What's all this?" Brinley asked as she and Klaus stopped beside her

"I was planning on taking these out to the bayou. With all of this going on with Davina I'm sure it's not looking good out there and they are going to need some supplies." Hayley said turning to face them and Brinley could tell she had been crying

"You can't go out there in this whether. This is not the night to be out there and I'm fairly certain Brin would kill me if I let you get swept off to OZ." Klaus snarked making Brinley chuckle and Hayley roll her eyes

"It's so refreshing to see you being Brin's bitch, but I can't take care of myself. It's not a good night for anyone to be out there, but unlike us some people don't exactly have a choice in the matter." Hayley said before bending down to grab one of the boxes

"Well then. Grab those boxes and come with us." Klaus instructed the new hybrid as he bent down and grabbed a box, he looked over just as Brinley was about to pick up one of the boxes and practically growled. "Don't even think about it dove."

"I can carry one box Nik." Brinley huffed but Klaus stood his ground

"That's great! But you're not going to, especially not while you have our children resting comfortably in your oven." Klaus said making Brinley roll her eyes and look over at Hayley who chuckled in amusement

"Don't look at me. For once I actually agree with your baby daddy." Hayley smirked before leaving with Klaus following

"Never thought I'd see the day where those two gain up on me." Brinley mumbled to herself before following them outside to Klaus's car

Klaus opens the door for Brinley when they arrive at the church before he and Hayley grabbed the boxes of food from the back. Brinley walked in between the hybrids as they spotted Father Kieran who Brinley hadn't had the chance to meet yet, when the father saw them he immediately hurried over to them. Brinley noticed more and more people walking into and around the church.

"We still haven't gone through all that you've already provided, Klaus." Father Kieran said with a smile as he took the box from the Hybrid and handed it off to someone who carried it inside the church

"Well, this newest bit isn't from me." Klaus said and gestured towards Hayley who smiled shyly as Klaus wrapped his arm around Brinley pulling her into his side when he saw her shiver as the wind blew

"Oh? That's very kind of you...?" Father Kieran asked as he took the basket from Hayley

"Hayley." Hayley nodded with a polite smile

"It's nice to meet you Hayley. Thank you for your contribution, it means a lot to so many people." Father Kieran said before looking towards Brinley and down to her stomach. "You must be the famous Brinley. I've heard so much about you."

"That's me. All good I hope." Brinley chuckled and Father Kieran nodded

"Very good. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Twins can be a handful that's for sure." Father Kieran chuckled making Brinley smile softly, remembering that he is Cami's uncle and that she had a twin before he went crazy and killed a bunch of his fellow ministry students

"Thank you." Brinley smiled leaning further into Klaus's side

"Who are all these people?" Hayley asked

"I asked Father Kieran to give them shelter. He suffers from an incessant desire to do good. But now, I need you to be useful. Marcel and Davina have disappeared. I assume from the stupefied look on your face they haven't sought refuge in your attic." Klaus said and Father Kieran shook his head

"No. Those days are gone." Father Kieran said and Klaus nodded

"Then energize your resources. I don't need to remind you how important it is they be found." Klaus said with a pointed look

"Yes." Father Kieran said before leaving to make some phone calls

Hayley looks around at all the people who came to the church to seek shelter while Brinley looked down at her phone hoping to see a text from Rebekah or Elijah saying they found Davina, but so far nothing.

"We'll find her my love." Klaus said kissing her forehead sensing her worry

"I hope so." Brinley sighed

"Klaus. These people, they're werewolves... And the priest, he said that you donated the food. You're helping them?" Hayley asked with furrowed brows and Klaus shrugged

"They're not your werewolves. They're my clan. From very far back. They've fallen upon hard times, and their plight has brought out the philanthropist in me. What can I say? Must be Elijah's influence." Klaus said and Brinley smiled softly seeing the care he showed his people

"What do you mean, your clan?" Hayley asked

"They're my biological fathers people. The blood that runs through their veins also runs through mine. And in Brinley and mines children." Klaus said letting his hand rest on Brinley's stomach, both parents smiling as they felt the little kicks from the twins

"This family gets more complicated by the second. You sure know how to pick them Brin." Hayley chuckled and Brinley smiled

"What can I say. I love the complicated ones, it keeps life interesting." Brinley said and Hayley scoffed

"That may be the understatement of the century." Hayley said thinking back to her and Elijah's now complicated relationship

"Listen, Hayley, word of advice when dealing with Elijah? Don't do as I do. Just apologize. He's accomplished in many things, but he is a master of forgiveness." Klaus advised before walking over to some of the families

"Did Klaus just give me advice?" Hayley asked with furrowed brows

"Yep. The world must really be ending." Brinley chuckled before following her man

─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───

Elijah had called and asked Klaus and Brinley to come back to the compound to discuss a plan, Hayley decided to stay at the church and help Father Kieran with the food.

When they arrived home Elijah and Rebekah were waiting for them in the living room ready to discuss the new idea Elijah and Sophie had came up with to finish the harvest.

"It's taken one thousand years, but you've finally gone mad. Our own mother?" Rebekah asked with wide eyes not liking the idea of using the Original Witch Bitch for anything

"Yes, our beloved mother, who Niklaus has affectionately placed in a coffin in his basement-- not daggered, but quite dead." Elijah said and Klaus shrugged

"Well, she did try to kill us all." Klaus said unbothered

"Well, I say we put her to use and put her to rest once and for all. Now if we bury our mother on land owned by one of her descendants, she becomes a New Orleans witch, and we, as her family, share in that ancestral magic." Elijah said

"We're vampires, Elijah. We can't practice magic. Or own property, for that matter." Rebekah said and Elijah nodded

"Yes. With regard to practicing magic, Sophie will come in handy. After we bury our mother we can channel all her power to Sophie. Only hitch is, as conduits of mother's magic, we must participate in the Harvest. And, as for owning property, not all of our mother's descendants are dead..." Elijah trailed off looking towards Brinley, more specifically her stomach

"The twins." Klaus realized and Elijah nodded

"The twins. The parish Tax Assessor's office is just steps outside of the Quarter. Brinley now holds the title to the plantation. So, if we bury our mother there, and we consecrate those grounds, we can finish the Harvest ritual." Elijah said

"You're a bit of a mad genius, Elijah. Count me in." Klaus said and Brinley looked down not knowing what to think as she placed a protective hand on her stomach

"Am I the only one thinking? Our mother was the most powerful witch in history. If we bury her, we hand that power to our enemies to use against us. Not to mention the danger she will pose towards Brinley and the twins." Rebekah said grabbing Brinley's hand noticing her nervousness

"Given our circumstances, I hardly see that we have a choice, Rebekah." Elijah said and Rebekah just sighed in frustration

"I don't know why I bother. You two will just do what you want anyway." Rebekah scoffed

"No. Our decision must be unanimous." Elijah shook his head

"This is not a democracy." Klaus scoffed and Elijah nodded

"You're quite right. This is family." Elijah said but stopped talking when they hear the sound of a powerful rain storm that is pouring down on the house making Brinley take a deep breath. "Water. The next sign's begun. Rebekah?"

"Kill a demon today, face the devil tomorrow. Count me in." Rebekah sighed obviously still having doubts

"Brinley?" Elijah asked and Brinley looked at him with wide eyes

"Me?" Brinley asked and Elijah nodded

"You're a member of this family. You have a say." Elijah said and Brinley had to stop the wide smile that threatened to break out onto her face

"I guess we don't really have anytime left to figure anything else out do we?" Brinley sighed looking out the window to see the wind blowing the sheets of rain. "I'm in."

"Well, this is no family reunion without our mother. I'll fetch her." Klaus said before kissing Brinley's head and leaving

"I suppose we should be dressed for a funeral then." Rebekah said grabbing Brinley's hand and pulling her upstairs

"This is a bad idea isn't it?" Brinley asked as the two walked into Rebekah's room

"Of course it is. But like always Niklaus and Elijah make the decisions and I'm left to follow along." Rebekah said digging through her closet before tossing Brinley an outfit. "Wear this. It's very funeral like."

"Thanks." Brinley said going to leave before pausing. "Hey, we've still had no luck finding out where Marcel's taken Davina."

"Yes I know that Brinley thanks for reminding me." Rebekah answered sarcastically

"What I mean is. What if the answer is just under our nose. Thierry was Marcels right hand man for a long time, if there's anyone who knows where Marcel would go to hide..." Brinley said and Rebekah's eyes lit up

"Thierry would know. You're a genius baby momma. Get dressed. I'll check it out." Rebekah instructed as she pulled out a outfit for herself

Brinley left the room and walked into her and Klaus's room to get changed.

Brinley quickly applied a small amount of makeup and curled her ponytail and front pieces before meeting Elijah and Klaus downstairs where a coffin was laying in the middle of the floor.

"So this is mommy dearest?" Brinley asked crossing her arms over her chest protectively as a bad feeling started brewing in her gut

"Sure is." Klaus said in distaste

"We need to go. The sooner this is done the better." Elijah said before holding an umbrella out to Brinley. "Brinley dear, take this with you. The rain is getting worse and the last thing we want is for you to fall ill."

"Thanks Lijah." Brinley smiled softly as she accepted the umbrella

Elijah and Klaus loaded Esther's coffin into the very back of Elijah's car while Brinley waited in the front seat of Klaus's since she basically refused to ride in the same car as their dead mother.

When Klaus got into the drivers seat he silently started the car and drove after Elijah, his hand interlaced with Brinley's and rested on her stomach.

"I have a bad feeling about all this Nik." Brinley spoke up, the bad feeling in her gut growing

"Me too love, but unfortunately we don't have another option. But I promise I will keep you and the twins safe regardless of what happens." Klaus said and Brinley squeezed his hand

"I know you will." Brinley said leaning back against the seat

Before she knew it Brinley was standing in between Elijah and Klaus with Sophie, Hayley, and Father Kieran with the hole they dug for Esther in front of them while they waited for Rebekah. Brinley was leaning against Klaus as he held the umbrella for them since the rain was still coming down hard, Rebekah finally arrived and locked eyes with Brinley before giving her a short nod.

"Did you find them? Will he bring her?" Klaus asked and Rebekah nodded

"He'll bring her." Rebekah said solemnly as she stopped beside Elijah and Hayley

"Are you ready to do this?" Father Kieran asked the group

"Always and forever." Klaus sighed and takes a dagger from Father Kieran

Klaus slices his palm open before holding his hand over Esther's grave and dripping his blood into it, Elijah and Rebekah followed his lead and did the same before the blonde held the dagger out to Brinley. The pregnant girl hesitantly took the dagger and looked towards Klaus who nodded in support, Brinley took a deep breath and quickly sliced her palm with a wince before also holding her hand out over the grave and watching as her blood dripped down mixing with the siblings.

Once they've all dripped their blood into the grave, Father Kieran takes the knife from Brinley and throws it into the grave as well.

"It's done." Father Kieran announced but everyone stood frozen looking down at the grave

Elijah handed Brinley his handkerchief and she used it to put pressure on the cut on her hand as she leaned into Klaus.

"Is it just me or does this feel like the start of something?" Brinley asked breaking the silence

"It's definitely not just you." Rebekah and Hayley spoke together

The Mikaelson's, Brinley, and Hayley are with Sophie at the cemetery where they're waiting for Marcel and Davina so they can complete the Harvest. Brinley couldn't stop the guilt that was eating at her heart, she had swore to help Davina and now it felt like she was leading her to the slaughter instead.

Suddenly, flames start to erupt near the entrance, startling everyone and causing Klaus to pull Brinley closer to him.

"Fire." Sophie spoke

After a moment, Marcel appears, carrying Davina in his arms. As he walks toward them, flames follow them in a trail that licks at Marcel's heals. Once they get to the altar, Marcel sets her down, and Sophie holds the ceremonial athame over the flames before she heads toward Davina.

Davina looked over at Brinley who watched the teenager with teary eyes, the young witch gave her a small nervous smile and mouthed "it's ok Ley" making Brinley wipe a tear that slid down her cheek.

"Do you believe in the harvest?" Sophie asked emotionlessly

"I believe." Davina said nervously

Once she says the words, Sophie raises the blade and slits Davina's throat with it making Brinley along with Rebekah and Hayley flinch at the brutality. Davina gasps in shock and grabs at her throat before she falls back. Marcel catches her and lays her down on the ground. Just then, the rain stops, and Davina's skin glows gold as the magic leaves her body and flows into the earth.

"After the Harvest comes the Reaping. Their sacrifices made and accepted. We call upon our Elders to resurrect the chosen ones."Nothing happens, and the rest of them look around at each other uneasily. Sophie begins again. "We call upon our Elders to resurrect the chosen ones..." Still, nothing happens. Sophie becomes flustered and is near tears. "Resurrect your chosen ones... Please? I beg...". When it becomes clear that something has gone wrong, Sophie falls to her knees and sobs. "No!"

"Oh my god." Brinley mumbled turning to push her face into Klaus's chest as tears fell down her cheeks

Sophie begins to sob even harder, and both Hayley and Rebekah start to cry. Elijah and Klaus both look upset, but not as much as Marcel, who shoots Klaus a look of hatred before vampire-speeding away.

"I've got you love." Klaus said holding Brinley tightly as her shoulders shook with cries

When they got home Brinley immediately went upstairs and to Davina's room, it was still in disarray from the events that occurred earlier. What the brunette noticed was a note sticking out of the drawer of her nightstand, Brinley grabbed it and saw that it was addressed to her.

Brinley,
I know things aren't looking good for me, I don't want to die, I've hardly even lived yet. But I know we don't always get what we want. I wanted to thank you for the way you've treated me, you haven't known me long but in the time you have known me you've treated me better than anyone I've ever met. Thank you for showing me Dirty Dancing, if it was the last movie I ever get to watch then I'm happy it was this one because you were right Patrick Swayze is drop dead gorgeous. Don't blame yourself if this doesn't go the way we wanted, it wasn't your fault or anyone's other than the, as you like to call them, "witch bitches" who started this whole Harvest business. Thank you for fighting for me.
-Davina

Brinley looked down at the note and wiped the tears from her cheeks, they may not have known each other very long at all but Davina was a sweet girl who didn't deserve any of the things that were happening to her.

She quickly left the room, starting to feel suffocated and went into her and Klaus's bedroom. She sat the note on the dresser and stripped out of her clothes before putting them in the hamper and going into the bathroom, she turned on the bath water making sure it wasn't too hot and let the tub fill up.

After the events of today all Brinley wants to do is take a relaxing bubble bath before going to bed and hoping to forget about everything that happened today.

She added the lavender bath bombs and bubble bath to the water and while she waited for everything to be ready she took her makeup and jewelry off before taking her hair down and brushing it out then clipping it up so it wouldn't get wet.

When the water was ready Brinley turned the lights off and plugged in the fairy lights she made Klaus put up before lighting a couple of candles. She lowered herself down into the water and sighed as she leaned back against the bath pillow.

Brinley had been in the bath for around 10 or 15 minutes before the door was slowly pushed open and closed, the girl didn't even open her eyes as she could just feel Klaus's presence.

"You ok my love?" Klaus asked coming to kneel by the tub, grabbing her hand and placing a kiss on the inside of her wrist

"Yeah. Just hoping to forget about this crappy day. Want to join me?" Brinley asked turning to look at him with pleading eyes making the Hybrid chuckle

"Fine. Only for you, but not a word of this to anyone else." Klaus warned as he stood up, knowing his siblings would never let him live it down

"I promise." Brinley smiled as she watched Klaus undress

Brinley leaned up to give Klaus room to climb in behind her, when he did and got comfortable she leaned back against his chest and felt his arms wrap around her coming to rest on her stomach.

"I love you." Klaus said kissing her neck

"I love you too." Brinley said leaning her head back comfortably against his chest
