What's up?" she asks and I take a slow breathe before I start talking. "Livvy." I say and then hand her the notebook that she dropped on the open page.
She gasps when she sees it and then looks at me. "I didn't mean to read it but the forst line caught my eye. " I say to her.
"Do you really feel this way? "I ask with a fear of the answer. She nods with tears in her eyes.
She then looks away so I don't see her cry. Tear well up in my eyes again at the sight of her.
"Livvy, why didn't you tell me?" I ask her. She blinks and says "I didn't want to be a burden."
It comes out in a whisper and that breaks my heart . I pull her into my lap and hold her as tight as I can and she returns the gesture.
"Livvy , you could never burden me . I am so sorry I made you feel like that." I say and I have to stop myself from letting go of her to punch a wall.
How could I have not have noticed? Gosh I am an idiot. My best friend in the world felt like she was a burden to me.
"I felt like I was one to everyone, so I made up those rules"she whispers to me with tears rolling down her face.
"Gosh, princess, I am so sorry I didn't notice and that I made you feel like a burden and that I contributed to your pain . " I tell her with my own tears.
"It is not your fault you didn't noticed, it was apart of my rules not to talk to anyone about my feeling because well you read it . " she says.
"You could never burden me and I love hearing you talk, and gosh when you sing I am in literal awe because you have the voise of an angel.
I hate thinking of you crying alone at night without me there to wipe those tears away. And to me and everyone else who lobes you , you are perfect without even trying .
You are so incredible that whoever made you make that stupid list is an idiot and if that includes me I am so sorry and I will do everything in my power to make it up to you." I tell her and then kiss her forehead.
That is when the waterfall comes and tears roll down her face without her stopping them.
"It has been so hard Joshyy. I wanted to tell you so many times but I didn't want to burden you.
I would wish you were next to me at night so that you could wipe away the tears and tell me I don't need to be perfect. " she admits looking at me.
"From now on I will be. Cause princess you don't need to be perfect, you just need to be you because you are already perfect . " I say and hold her tighter.
From now on I ma going to be there for her every moment she needs me. "You don't ever need to be strong around me and you could never burden me. I promise you princess.
If you need someone to talk about things you like, I am your guy, if you want to sing I will listen with pleasure, if you want something you can tell me .
I could never get tired of hearing your voice and I always want to bear your opinion. Not matyer what ." I tell her and she nods .
"okay Joshyy "she says.
We sit like that for the rest if lunch. With me holding her in my lap and she tells me everything that I have missed .
