╔═══*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*═══╗

The afternoon sun lazily filtered through the window, casting a warm, golden glow over the living room. Stella sat at the grand piano, her nimble fingers caressing the ivory keys with delicate precision. The notes she produced filled the room, a gentle and soothing melody that seemed to dance through the air.

Lizzie reclined on the couch, her posture relaxed as she watched Stella play. Her gaze was a mix of admiration and contentment. These chill afternoons were some of her favorites, and she couldn't have asked for a more perfect soundtrack to accompany her thoughts.

"Baby!" Lizzie called, getting a small 'yup' echo from the other room as the sound of the piano came to a halt. "Scarlett wants to come over, is that alright with you?"

"Of course, Liz," Stella hummed out, continuing to practice a new song she had written days ago.

As if on cue, there was a knock at the door, and it swung open to reveal Scarlett Johansson, who had become a close friend of Lizzie's over the years.

"Hey, Lizzie," Scarlett greeted with a warm smile, taking a casual step into the room. "Hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Lizzie flashed a grin, sitting up and waving Scarlett over. "Not at all, Scar. Stella's just doing her thing."

Scarlett nodded appreciatively, casting a quick greeting toward Stella at the piano. "Hey, Stella, sounds beautiful."

Stella paused her playing and turned, a polite smile on her face. "Thanks, Scarlett. Nice to see you again."

Lizzie and Scarlett wandered into the kitchen together, their conversation flowing effortlessly. "You were here quick, did you text me as you were pulling up?" Lizzie teased and Scarlett chuckled.

"You betcha, I was going to show up unannounced but I remember when I did that not two years ago I walked in on something not very-"

"Okay, I get it!" Lizzie cut her off, her cheeks red as she was forced to relive the embarrassing memory. Scarlett walked in on Lizzie in just her underwear and bra, headphones in as she was dancing around without a thought to the world.

They chatted for about ten minutes as they prepared coffee, catching up on life and sharing stories from recent events.

"It's been forever since we caught up like this," Scarlett remarked as she watched Lizzie pour hot water into a pair of mugs.

Lizzie leaned against the counter, a nostalgic twinkle in her eyes as Scarlett sat down on a stool. "Tell me about it. Life's been a whirlwind lately."

Their conversation was momentarily interrupted by a sound that seemed to pull them both in. It was Stella, her voice as enchanting as her piano skills, singing softly as she continued to play. Scarlett was in awe, her gaze shifting toward Lizzie with a look of genuine amazement.

"Lizzie," Scarlett whispered, her voice filled with awe, "she's incredible. That voice, it's like... magic."

Lizzie nodded, her heart swelling with pride. "Yeah, she really is. I'm so lucky."

The two friends shared a moment of silent appreciation for Stella's talent before returning to their coffee. The soothing melodies filled the room, creating a tranquil atmosphere that wrapped around them like a warm embrace.

"You know," Scarlett began with a sly grin, "that video we took yesterday, the one where I kissed you on your cheek? It's been making quite the rounds online."

Lizzie and Scarlett continued sipping their coffee, the conversation now shifting to the events of yesterday's photoshoot. Lizzie's cheeks flushed as she recalled a particular moment from the shoot.

"Yeah, that was...unexpectedly close." Lizzie's blush deepened, and she laughed nervously.

Scarlett chuckled, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Oh, come on, Lizzie. It was just a bit of fun. Besides, your fans seemed to love it." She shrugged.

Lizzie shook her head, still blushing. "I'm not complaining. Just wasn't quite prepared for it."

"Anyways, how's my little Rosie and Roman? Is Collin helping out with everything?" Their conversation then turned to family. She was genuinely interested in how Scarlett managed to balance her hectic career with motherhood.

"Colin's great," Scarlett replied, her smile softening. "He's been so supportive, especially with my crazy schedule. And Rose and Roman? They're my everything. Sometimes it's challenging, but they make every moment worth it."

Lizzie nodded in understanding. "I can only imagine. They must be thrilled to have such a talented and loving mom."

Scarlett's eyes lit up with pride as she spoke of her children. "They're the best. Rose is turning into quite the little artist, and Roman... well, he's got a wild imagination. Keeps me on my toes."

Scarlett couldn't help but bring up Stella. "You know, Lizzie, when I met Stella yesterday, and I have to say, she's quite amazing."

Lizzie's eyes sparkled with affection as she spoke about Stella. "She really is. Stella's everything I ever wanted in a partner."

"So how did you meet her?" Scarlett asked quietly as she sipped on her coffee.

"University," Lizzie answered vaguely, warming her hands on either side of the warm coffee mug.

"She was a teacher too?" Scarlett questioned absentmindedly, her eyes filled with interest.

"Uh-" Lizzie chuckled nervously, sitting back in her seat.

"Student," Just then, Stella walked into the room, her presence bringing an extra dose of warmth to the already cozy atmosphere. "I picked up my teacher," She opened the fridge, poured herself a glass of water, and then settled comfortably in Lizzie's lap.

"Oh wow, okay," Scarlett giggled, watching Lizzie try and hide her face in Stella's neck. "So what's the age gap?"

"7 years," Stella answered without a bother in the world, she was proud to be with Lizzie. She was proud to be with her.

"Oh yup, cool," Scarlett nodded without batting an eye, she didn't care how old Stella was. All she knew and cared about was that the brunette made Lizzie smile. "You know what? Let's go out. It's a beautiful day today and I'm quite hungry,"

"Where would we go?" Lizzie asked and Stella hummed in thought.

"There is a beautiful lake I walked past a few days ago, let's buy lunch and have a picnic. We can print Lu too," Stella offered and Scarlett nodded.

"Alright done, I'm driving," Scarlett decided and Lizzie tapped Stella's side to let her know to stand, which she did.

"I'm paying," Lizzie announced and Scarlett rolled her eyes.

"The hell you are, just get your ass into my car and don't even think about bringing your purse," Scarlett warned and Stella chuckled at their mindless bickering. The German was too focussed on putting a harness on Luna, attaching it to a leash.

Lizzie grumbled to herself as she slid some open shoes on, grabbing 3 water bottles from the fridge and putting them in a cooler bag before locking the door after Scarlett and her girlfriend. Stella sat in the back seat with Luna by her side as she let Lizzie sit up the front with Scarlett, an gesture not going unnoticed by the women.

They stopped at a famous sandwich shop, getting few options to choose from.

The sun hung high in the clear, blue sky, casting a warm, golden glow over the serene lake in the nearby park as they arrived. It was a perfect summer day, the kind where you couldn't help but smile as the gentle breeze rustled through the leaves of the surrounding trees. Lizzie and Stella, joined by the incredibly energetic dog pulling on the leash to run after ducks, were spread out on a colorful picnic blanket near the edge of the lake.

Scarlett, sitting cross-legged and leaning back on her hands, couldn't contain her laughter as she regaled Lizzie and Stella with stories from Lizzie's early days at Marvel. "You should've seen her back then," she said, grinning. "She was this eager, wide-eyed newbie. Always on time, always prepared. And then, of course, the pranks started."

Lizzie groaned, covering her face with her hands. "Oh, please, don't remind me of the prank wars. I was the target of so many!"

Stella, her eyes sparkling with curiosity, tossed a piece of bread to a passing duck. "Prank wars? Do tell."

"Chris Evan was the worst of them, he always picked on Lizzie because she had the best reactions," With a mischievous glint in her eye, Scarlett launched into one hilarious story after another, leaving Lizzie and Stella in stitches. Luna, sensing the upbeat mood, scampered around, chasing butterflies and creating a lively atmosphere.

Stella continued to feed the ducks, a serene smile on her face as she enjoyed the simple pleasure of nature. The lake glistened, and the ducks quacked contentedly, adding to the idyllic ambiance.

"So then Mackie said 'Let me get your number, so I can send you a dick pic puzzle" Lizzie told a story and Scarlett's jaw dropped.

"Oh, all of the boys had a crush on you when you first started, it was so funny to see them all try and show off when you were around," Scarlett snickers, causing Lizzie's cheeks to go red.

"I could say the same," Stella interjected, earning a confused look from the two. "Look me in the eye and tell me you and Evans never had a thing going."

"Oh she's got you now," Lizzie giggled, watching Scarlett smile awkwardly, caught out.

"Okay okay, in confidence to just you both. Yes, we dated for a few months," Scarlett confessed and Stella and Lizzie both made a small 'ooo' sound. Scarlett's cheeks turned a deeper shade of red, hitting them both lightly. "Shut up!"

"'That suit slips on and off pretty easily', you heard it here folks!" Stella teased, making both women laugh as Scarlett rolled her eyes playfully.

"That's not fair! How about I talk about your sex lives?" Scarlett made a point and it was Lizzie's turn to blush once again.

"Sure, what would you like to know?" Stella answered sarcastically and Lizzie smacked her arm.

Scarlett shook her head, amused, as she spotted a group of girls running up to them. There were 3, they looked as through they just won $1,000 or meeting their celebrity idols. Oh, well that makes sense.

"Omg! I'm so sorry to interrupt but I actually am in love you two!" One gushes and Lizzie smiled kindly at her.

"Thank you! Would you like a photo?" Scarlett offered and they nodded eagerly. Lizzie and Scarlett stood up and posed sweetly with them, the five of them in frame to take a selfie. Stella just laid back on the picnic blanket to mind her own business, Luna jumping her over stomach playfully. The brunette pulled the husky puppy into her, cuddling Luna to her chest.

The girls thanked the stars and left, leaving Lizzie and Scarlett to enjoy their picnic. "Are you okay down there?" Lizzie chuckled as she saw Stella and Luna.

"Peachy," Stella winked and Lizzie hummed, an amused smile on her lips as she sat down behind Stella. Lizzie lifted Stella's head and placed in to her lap lovingly, leaning down to kiss her softly.

"Hey! No fair," Scarlett whined, Lizzie and Stella breaking the kiss to laugh lightly. "I don't have anyone to kiss,"

"I'll kiss you Scar," Stella joked around and Lizzie hit her.

"No she won't," Lizzie chuckled. "You do know that you are her celebrity crush, yeah?" The blonde outed Stella and Scarlett laughed.

"Oh really?" The black widow teased, watching Stella cover her face in embarrassment.

"Much to my despise," Lizzie added, pulling Stella's wrists away from her face to see her deep blush.

"Yeah Stella, why isn't your girlfriend your celebrity crush?" Scarlett teased further leaning forward to pet Luna who was still sat on Stella's stomach.

"Oh my- you two need to stop," Stella said, sitting up and shifting Luna to her lap. Lizzie sat up and her knees and wrapped her arms around Stella from behind, resting her chin on Stella shoulder.

"I'm just kidding, I know you would never cheat on me baby," Lizzie hummed quietly into her ear, kissing her cheek quickly after.

Guilt rose in Stella's chest, giving Lizzie a small smile as she focused her eyes down to petting the dog.

"Well this has been fun, thanks you two for letting me tag along," Scarlett winked and Lizzie smiled widely at her, leaving Stella to hug her best friend.

"Thanks for taking us out, Scar, I think we really needed it," Lizzie said quietly in Scarlett's ear. Scarlett squeezed Lizzie tighter before letting her go, walking up to Stella who was now standing up to give her a warm hug too.

"Take care of her," Scarlett said softly and Stella smiled at the scent of Rose water perfume the blonde lingered of.

"I will," She replied, enjoying the tight embrace she was encased in.

As the sun began to set, they bid farewell to Scarlett as she dropped them off at their doorstep. Stella and Lizzie had relished every moment of their day together, filled with laughter and the warmth of the sun. However, as the night grew darker, Stella lay in bed with Lizzie nestled beside her in a deep slumber. It was then that a wave of guilt washed over Stella, like a heavy weight on her chest, as she replayed the memory of kissing Vicky. The guilt gnawed at her, making her feel as though her heart might burst from the overwhelming remorse.
