Finally my birthday was here.
The last few weeks where unpleasant to say the least.
I felt disgusted. Not with myself but with these people that shared my blood.
Yes they'd taken care of Damien..how I do not know and didn't care to ask.
But what disgusted me was ho they went on like it was before Loretta came back.
Back to ignoring me. Back to me being unseen.
It wasn't anything new.
But I expected too much from them.
I expected some human decency.
To ask if I was ok.
To see if I needed anything.
I was their daughter. Their sister.
But they was not my family.
I had an early flight my stuff was already sent and the last thing left for me to do was leave.
I didn't plan on saying goodbyes. These people wouldn't miss me.
And I wouldn't miss them.
I left no note.
I just left the house and headed to the airport.
I couldn't wait for new beginnings.
Today was officially my birthday.
I recieved no cards or presents which wasn't anything new for the past 14 years that's been what I knew.
I was ready to start afresh. Go to college get a job. Make friends.
So that's what I did in the first few month I made a small number of friends.
Lucy, Abby,jack and Stephen. We was all so close in such a short amount of time.
They knew everything about me. They knew about my family,my sister , Damien.
They didn't pity me. They comforted me. They believed me.
I had built a solid friendship group and I couldn't be more happier.
I never had friends before.
My blood family have no contracted me or attempted to.
I wasn't bothered, I was happy.
I let them go just like they did to me years ago.
I was going to live my life and make my own family and that started with my friends.
