The underworld was nothing like Jimin expected.
From the stories he'd been told, the innocent boy imagined a kingdom of monsters and darkness, governed by a ruler who allowed no light into his realm.
He couldn't have been more wrong. Contrary to everything he expected, both the brothers home was absolutely breathtaking.
The castle was enormous, crafted from blue and grey stone with endless planes of green surrounding it. Thousands of flowers scatter across it, so beautifully it even put the goddess of spring at loss for words.
Jimin was speechless.
"Explore as you wish." Taehyung had said, and explored he did. The boy found himself spending most of his time in the realms garden, growing plants and making beautiful flower crowns for all the workers.
The residence had grown fond of Jimin quite quickly, finding his joy and kindness to be refreshing in a place constantly run by routine. He made friends fast and admires faster, which included Alpha Taehyung of course.
He would be lying if he said his omega didn't ache at the prospect of losing what he'd dreamt of, a mate, and he'd be lying if he said the idea of marrying someone he didn't know scared him..
But It was what his parents wished for him, and as long as he was obeying their wishes Jimin concluded that he could grow fond of this place.
Even if he missed his home terribly..
Someone like him could be happy anywhere, but for some reason the moment the goddess entered this territory he felt.. at ease?
For the period of time he'd been here, Taehyung had been kind, and Jimin knew that was more than a lot of people got. He knew that he should consider himself lucky, even if it wasn't his dream.
And he knew that the God of this realm was not described as a cruel one. Stern, and strong, but never cruel. Alpha Jungkook was considered a very powerful god in Olympus, and was spoken about on multiple occasions where Jimin was present.
"They say that his fire burns blue. No god has been gifted blue fire since the historic times."
"He's supposedly the most powerful god to ever walk the earth."
"I've heard he's unfathomably handsome."
"Well I've heard that in over a 1000 years he still has yet to find his mate!"
Jimin had heard thousands of things about the god of death, but for some reason the only thing he could think about was his name.
'Jungkook.' The boy had thought. What a unique name that was..
The second thing he settled on was the fact that the Alpha had yet to find, or pick his mate. Jungkook was one of the older gods in there world, and after 500 years most would consider you mateless if you hadn't yet found your other half.
The thought of that made Jimin very sad..
Jimin had dreamt since he was a little boy of finding his mate, his alpha. The person that was perfect for him in every way. He couldn't imagine someone not being able to have that.
Jimin couldn't help but ache for Jungkook, someone he'd never even met.

The blonde gives a grateful smile as a maid sets a breakfast plate in front of his seat, the meal filled with eggs, bacon, fruit, and probably any other breakfast food you could wish for.
Jimin had learned quickly that in the underworld people worshipped their gods and goddesses, and that fact showed heavily when it came to serving their meals.
"You don't need to feed me so much Mina. I told you I'm perfectly fine with just some eggs and fruit in the morning." The boy says kindly, but the pretty brunette maid only waves a hand in dismissal.
"Nonsense. As Lord Taehyung's fiancé you should eat just as they do." She says. "After all, it won't be long before you are sharing this meal with him and Master Jungkook." The lady reminds kindly, but Jimin can't help but dimmer at the words.
Taehyung had given him much more freedom than he probably deserved, but Jimin still couldn't help but feel intimidated by the duties he would have to soon face as the man's 'fiance.'
The boy was still very troubled about the ravens declaration about his fate. The only thing he knew was that one moment he was showing the man around his palace, and the next Jimin's parents were telling him that he would be marrying the god in less than a year.
Though the goddess knew his fate, he couldn't help but attempt to wander from the heavy subject, instead looking at the maid with a bright smile once more.
"Would you like to accompany me then? I would hate to waste so much food." He ask kindly, and the women almost seems shocked by the question.
It was unusual to invite a maid to eat with you..
"O-Oh that's very kind of you Mr. Park, but-"
"Please, call me Jimin." Jimin cuts her off, his aura welcoming as he says the same thing he had said to pretty much half the staff in this palace.
Ever since he had gotten here, everyone had been so kind to him, so formal, as if they were scared they would offend the man. But Jimin didn't like when people were tense around him, so instead he made it a mission to become a friend to the staff.
Much to Taehyung's surprise, the blonde had been succeeding quite well.
Once again her eyes seem to widen. "That's very kind of you Jimin, but I don't know if his majesty would be happy with me if I took any food from you." She whispers, and Jimin frowns at the words.
His majesty, The king, Alpha Jungkook, Master Jeon. All of these were names Jimin had come to know as the ruler of the underworld. With Taehyung they either said My Lord or Taehyung, but with his brother Jimin had noticed that people always used more respect. More fear.
It seemed that this entire realm held their king in the highest regard.
Why? Jimin still didn't know. He had heard various story's, but the boy had yet to meet his new god.
Yet, he dismisses the words, only smiling at Mina once more. "I'm sure his majesty would want you to eat so that you could do your work more thoroughly, would he not?" Jimin says, only pulling out a chair next to him so that the girl can sit down.
Mina seems hesitant at first, but after seeing the warm look on the blondes face she finds herself giving in, taking a seat next to Jimin and putting a clean cloth on her lap.
Jimin's smile brightens as she sits, the boy wasting no time before scooping some eggs, bacon, and fruit onto an empty plate in front of her.
After he's done, they sit in silence for a couple seconds.
"Why are you being kind to me?" The maid whispers, and Jimin only looks up with confused eyes.
"What do you mean?" The blonde blinks, tilting his head in complete obliviousness.
"All week the staff has been speaking about you. When we got word that Lord Taehyung had a new fiancé arriving to the palace, everyone believed you would be cruel.." She says, looking up to see the beautiful boy chewing on his lip.
"Why would I be cruel to you?" Jimin asks softly, taking a bite of his food as worry settles in his gut.
"Because you are a goddess, Namjoons son to be exact. You are Taehyung's soon to be bride, and we only work for the king." She says simply, yet Jimin still looks confused as he slowly chews on his food.
He really didn't get it, did he?
"You are powerful, and we are weak. You are the son of Namjoon, god of lightning, and we are nothing but servants." She says.
"You are beautiful my lord, and compared you well.. I-I am nothing." She whispers finally, seeming almost guilty as Jimin turns to her. Suddenly, the blonde grabs her hand.
"You are very beautiful." He comforts. "And so is everyone who works here. A title does not define beauty, nor worth. You have all been kind to me so I want to be kind to you." He says, and truthfully he means it.
When Jimin first arrived here only a few days ago he was nervous, terrified. But the people here from the beginning had showed him so much kindness. Much more than he probably deserved.
"I want to become your friend.." He says honestly, smiling at the girl when her eyes become glossy.
"I-I would like that.." Mina answers, shocked by the goddesses kindness towards her.
Jungkook had always been kind to the staff, but because of how closed off he was he never made an effort to become friends with them. Someone like Jimin was a breath of fresh air in a realm like theirs.
"Well then eat up. I was hoping to go to the garden after breakfast." He giggles, his eyes lighting up at the thought.
"You go to the garden every morning my lord." She chuckles, and he blushes at the words.
"Is that so surprising? It is quite beautiful." He counters, nibbling on some granola out of shyness.
"I suppose it's not surprising at all for the goddess of spring." She raises a brow, giggling along side with him and they fall into comfortable conversation and finish eating their breakfast.
Perhaps Mina was right. Perhaps the garden was what had brought Jimin such comforting energy in Jungkook's palace.
Or perhaps it was something else..
