(In this oneshot you're the Empress of Seirai island, for the sake of this oneshot, you're immortal and once upon a time, When serai had a population, you ruled it and refused to leave your beautiful island. Thunder manifestation is your pet)

3rd person pov
"The wonderful Empress of Serai is a beautiful immortal woman who was picked by Raiden Makoto many centuries ago when she wasn't able to rule over every island in inazuma. This was back when serai had a population of mortals. This Empress ruled with grace, no matter the situation."
This was written is a scroll that once would make you weep, but as of now, you have no tears left. The population of serai has died out.. you were no longer an Empress... thought you still walk around and protect the place despite having no one to protect. You do it for the fallen and for the cats that continue to reside on your island.
In the present day, adventurers, members of the shogunate army and simple civilians will still refer to you as "Empress Y/n". You don't know tge reason they do but you assume it's because that's how the shogun addresses you.
"Empress of Serai" is how she addresses you but Ei... Ei calls you Y/n. Rarely would she ever address you as Empress Y/n. But she still thinks of you as an Empress! That's why the shogun is programmed to adress you as such and to treat you as such! Ei just sees no use in addressing her friend by her position or title.. that's why she encourages you to only call her Ei.
Now, you sit on the floating island of thunder manifestation, with your books piled near you.
"Thundie, do you think the princess would be able to escaped the king if she pretended to have finally warmed up to him?"
You ask as you roll towards the thunder manifestation
It shakes its head
"Really? I think it would work.."
The thunder manifestation makes a couple gestures to what it wants to say
"You think the king would be smarter...?"
It nods
"I guess that makes sense... sad. If I was kidnapped by a higher power do you think I could outsmart them?"
It shakes its head
"You're probably right... sadly.."
You stop speaking when your peace was disrupted by the sound of someone walking. Who is on thunder manifestations island?!
"Hello Y/n. I brought you some dango from the city."
The voice of your familiar and close friend, Ei, broke the silence.
"Well, if it isn't Miss raiden!"
You stood up and dusted yourself off
"Miss raiden..?"
Ei raises an eyebrow as she continues to walk towards you
"What? Can I not call you with formality? You are my archon, and deserve the upmost respect."
You smile
"Y/n, we are friends, are we not?"
Ei set's the plate down on the ground.
"Of course we are!"
You sit near on the ground near the plate of dango
"Then you should simply address me as 'Ei' "
She smiles as she picks up and dango
"Open your mouth."
You demands, her tone coming off more harsh then intended
You comply with her request and open your mouth. She puts a piece of dango into your mouth.
"Mmm~ thank you!"
You hum in delight
"Say, N/n, why do you never come to the city?"
Ei asks as she eats some dango
"I cannot leave Serai unattended."
"Why? You don't have anyone to protect here?"
"..."
The thunder manifestation slowly turns toward Ei and starts to chirp aggressively
(Idk why I chose chirping)
"What did I- oh... you no longer... Y/n I apologize several times over!"
Ei puts a hand over her heart
"It's alright Ei..."
You turn towards her
"Come back here tomorrow. We can go to inazuma city then, okay?"
You give her a weak smile
"Why not right now?"
She tilts her head slightly
"It's late, I need to sleep."
You get up and stretch
"Where do you sleep..?"
"Here, with Thundie!"
You walk to thunder manifestation and hug it
"I see... so you rely on thunder manifestation to keep you warm at night?"
She looks a bit jealous as she watches you cuddle up with thunder manifestation
"Yeah!"
"Hm, goodbye Y/n."
Ei turns away and starts walking
"Bye Ei! I'll see you tomorrow!"
You wave and start to doze off in thunder manifestations wings(?) As they cradle you.
Unbeknownst to you, Ei didn't leave the island. She watched. Watched in envy of your dear familiar. It should be her cradling you! You should be sleeping in her arms!
Ei didn't hate Thunder manifestation, don't get her wrong! It protected you, Took care of you, she thanks it. But she wanted you...
After "admiring" you for a couple more hours, she left...

The next day, Ei returned to your floating island and watched as you were tying your hair up
"How do I look?"
You ask thunder manifestation
"You look wonderful."
Ei answers, making you jump
"Ei! You're here!"
You turn around happily
"Yes. Come, we should get to the city now, I have so many exiting things planned..."
Ei seems a bit suspicious, but it's not your place to point it out.

"Is that the Empress of Serai island?"
"I thought she was just some myth.."
"She's gorgeous!"
People whisper about you through the city as you walk with Ei
"This place is so pretty.."
You say as you admire the city's beauty
"It is, isn't it?"
Ei smiles at you
"Is that a statue of you? Aw, it has wings!"
You point at Ei's statue, but you notice some gems glowing in the wings
"What are those gems?"
You run towards to statue to get closer look at the gems
"No no no.... the last thing I need is for Y/n to know about the vision hunt decree... it would break her poorly put together heart.."
Ei mumbles to herself as she sprints after you
You finally stop when you're at the ledge near statue
"Are those... visions..?"
Your eyes widen as you look at the dozens of visions inbeded in the statue
"I didn't want you to find this out..."
Ei says sounding disappointed as she walks behind you
"Why would you do this..?"
"Visions are a threat to eternity. You, my love, are able to use electro without a vision, therefore you are an enemy of eternity."
Hearing that made your stomach drop
"But you could never be my enemy... You're far to pure and precious to be an enemy of any kind"
Ei wraps her arm around your waist
"Their ambitions... you took them..."
You wanted to be mad at Ei. Should've been mad! What she was doing was crazy.. but you couldn't... she was always so kind to you... so, in fear, you ran. Faster then you could ever run.
Once you were out of breath you ducked into a nearby hiding place, assuring Ei didn't see you.
"Y/n? My love?~"
Ei called out through the empty streets of inazuma city. You didn't even realize how late it'd become
"Oh my darling Empress, you were never the type to run and hide. You would always face battles head on. Did the loss of your people change you that much?"
To you, it felt like she was trying to use your sorrow against you...
"Don't mention my people..."
You mumble a bit louder than expected
"Found you~"
Ei appears infront of you, lifting your chin with her finger
"Now, we'll be going back to my plane of euthymia."
Ei grabs your wrists and forces you up
"B-But What about thundie?!"
You pull away from Ei as you think about your poor companion
"Thunder manifestation will live."
Ei grabs your wrists again
"All you need is me my love. Don't think of it."
Ei pulls you close
"You can't do this!"
You try to push her away
"I do as I please."
