ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɴɪɴᴇ
"ᴄᴏᴄᴋʙʟᴏᴄᴋ"

ᴀsᴘᴇɴ ᴛᴏᴏᴋ ᴀ sɪᴘ ᴏғ ʜᴇʀ ᴇɴɢᴇʀʏ ᴅʀɪɴᴋ, sitting in the passenger seat to the group rented car.

"I can't believe you can have an energy drink at nine in the morning," Alia said from the backseat, making Noah in the driver's seat laugh.

"It gives out energy," Asp rolled her eyes, knowing she needed it since the group had stayed up for hours on end trying to help Renee find the perfect tune for the chorus of her new song, "Where's Ren again?"

Ali shifted in her seat at the mention of the singer's name, playing with her seatbelt, "She's uh- She was busy. She said she needed to perfect her second verse."

Noah and Apsen nodded in aknowledgement, before Noah spoke, "Dont worry, I'll get her out of there when the time I get back."

Asp smiled, glancing at Alia for a slight moment, before looking out the window to see that they had arrived at where Noah and Al were dropping her off.

"Tell her that she better sing us it once I get back," Aspen said, hopping out of the back and thanking Noah for driving her.

They all said their quick goodbyes, as she waved them goodbye as they drove off.

She sighed out a hot breath, smoke drifting from her mouth as she approached her trailer, wincing when her hand met the cold handle. Aspen shivered in the cold, the door of the trailer being stuck shut.

"Having trouble there?" A voice came from behind As, almost making the girl drop her keys.

She laughed slightly as she spun around to almost bump into Jasmin, as she looked up at the older woman, "A little."

Jas chuckled slightly at the girl, her coat zipped up as the fluff framed her face, "You can wait in mine until we start shooting? Plus, we could practice our lines; I need to anyway. "

The black girl smiled cheerily with a nod, quickly thanking the girl, "Sure."

-
Time ticked by quickly, Aspen and Jasmin sitting rehearsing their lines in Jasmin's trailer as Aspen's door defrosted.

A quick knock on the door, interrupted the two girls from their bursts of giggles, being Melissa telling Aspen that it was time to do her scene with Jenna.

"Have fun!" Jasmim said innocently, shooing her up from the couch they were sat at.

"Yeah," The other girl laughed, rolling her eyes playfully as she approached the older girl who held the door open, thanking her, "I will."

The two pretty quickly said goodbyes, Melissa explaining that she needed to go see Devyn about something, allowing Aspen to take her time to walk to set.

Aspen's eyes instantly found the slightly older brunette on the set bed, doing a scene with Liana, her eyes lingering on the girl as she fidgetted with her bracelet.

She admired her outfit, her eyes shooting to the brown ones, as Jenna's met hers, letting Aspen forget about the eggy situation yesterday. She was beautiful.

"Goodnight," Aspen said goodbye to the crew after the many times that they had to repeat scenes, the sky already darkening.

They said goodbyes back, Asp yawning slightly, as she chewed on a peice of gum, waiting at the pick-up area for Noah.

Thank god, she didn'𝗍 have to book a taxi- 𝗍hat being one of the perks to her friends following her to a different country.

In the distance, a face was slightly shown by the lit up phone screen ahead, Aspen approaching slowly, ready to offer the girl a ride back to the hotel, so she wouldnt have to pay.

"Hi Jenna," She smiled, as the girl looked up her eyes raking across Aspen's features, reminding her of the scene they had filmed together earlier.

The corner of the actor's lip pulled 𝗎𝗉 slightly a𝗌 she looked at Aspen, before she seemed to force it away, "What do you want?"

"My friend's coming to pick me up, do- uh- do you want a lift?" Asp said hopefully, fidgetting with her bracelet.

Noah's car pulled up almost instantly after, making Aspen nod her head that way, recognising the grey sedan's liscence plate.

"You think I'm gonna get in a car with you after you've been nothing but a bitch to me?"

Aspen's brows furrowed at her words with an unsure and disbelieving smile, "Are you joking? I apologised for that coffee thing and you got me back. Plus yesterday you made me crack all my eggs. How have I been a bitch?"

"No you didn't," Jenna mummered, making Aspen look at the girl in confusion, "You didn't apologise."

"Well, I'm sorry," Asp rolled her eyes sarcastically, as frustration consumed her, Noah beeping to tell Aspen to hurry the fuck up, "But I've genuinely been nothing but nice to you since."

Jenna stared at the girl, fidgetting with her rings as she looked down, taking her bottom lip into her mouth, as the other actress shook her head in disbelief, decidng to just turn away and go back to the hotel.

"Aspen, wait," Jenna sighed slightly, seemingly realising that she was overreacting, her hand reaching the grab Aspen's wrist to pull her back, accidentally grabbing onto her bracelet in the process and pulling, letting the peice of jewwellry snap.

Beads fell to the floor, Asp's heart dropping as she looked down at the broken bracelet.

"What the fuck?" The girl stammered, as her heart pounded in frustration and desolation. Her glossy eyes dropped to the floor where the remains of her bracelet lay, the horn of Noah's rented car beeping again.

Asp's breath hitched in her throat, as she turned away from the girl, hands trembling, as she made her way to the car.

"Aspen!" Jenna called out after her, also looking down at the remains of her bracelet, before looking back at the girl who had ignored her call, hopping into the back of the car.

She kicked her feet up onto the seats, her eyes staring blankly ahead as she felt the empty space her bracelet once was.

"You alright?" Noah asked, as he looked through the mirror at the girl.

"Yeah," She lied, tugging on her jacket tighter, "J-Just drive please?"
