Please go check out "rosy cheeks" by arabellemonroe. She's amazing and I love the story.

Pale eyes ran.
Oh how she ran.
Straight out of the hospital and into the oncoming traffic.
Narrowly avoiding a pale red car she thought of rosy cheeks and his mom crying when she opened the door.
What had he done to himself this time?
Wasn't he happy with her?
Was she not good enough?
Pale eyes stopped herself.
No.
Don't think like that.
Instead the girl brought her mind to a happy time and place - one of her favorite dates she and rosy cheeks had.
They went to a small café downtown.
It wasn't well known to the small town they lived in but it was rosy cheeks' favorite place.
Ever since his father and siblings passed away in a car accident he would sneak out, grab his bike and ride down to the café no matter the time.
He told pale eyes it was his place to calm down.
If he ever was stressed about a test or upset because he'd seen a blue heron, his dad's favorite animal, here he came.
Pale eyes was so happy he decided to share this place with him as she hadn't known it existed.
Rosy cheeks told pale eyes to go find a table while he ordered her his favorite drink and a doughnut.
She sat and stared out the window, watching the people walk by.
Some hand in hand, others alone.
Rosy cheeks turned to look for pale eyes and noticed the table she chose to sit at.
A lone table in the corner of the shop.
The table where his dad used to sit with him when they came here together.
Composing himself, he walked up to her and gave her the doughnut and the drink.
Pale eyes munched on her glazed deliciousness and sipped her candy cane hot chocolate (even though it was June) while intently listening to the boy explain why he brought her here.
Rosy cheeks told her about how his dad took him here every Saturday to get a candy cane hot chocolate and a doughnut.
Every Saturday for four years he took rosy cheeks.
Every Monday, the only reason rosy cheeks got out of bed was because he wanted to get the day over so he was one day closer to Saturday.
For four years rosy cheeks did that.
Until the year of his fifteenth birthday.
It was a Saturday and a drunk man slammed into his father and family on a rainy day.
They were killed on impact.
Rosy cheeks cried.
Oh how he cried.
His mother was in despair for months.
Rosy cheeks never stopped grieving.
Three years later.
When pale eyes heard this, she looked up.
Teary eyed she stood up and hugged rosy cheeks.
This was when he realized he loved her.
He started to cry and soon they were both messes of snot and tears in the middle of the café.
Later that day, rosy cheeks brought pale eyes to a carnival that was happening a town over.
All day they laughed together but didn't go on much rides as pale eyes got sick very easily.
Before the carnival closed pale eyes and rosy cheeks decided to go on the ferris wheel.
When they got to the top, rosy cheeks looked over to a beautiful sight.
Pale eyes.
The sun was setting and the light was making her features glow.
Rosy cheeks reached over to her, pulled her close and whispered something into her ear.
I love you, pale eyes.
---------------------------------------------------------
She was brought back to reality by a single rain drop.
Looking up, another drop hit her nose.
Not long after it was pouring not only from the clouds but from her eyes.
She started to sob, her body shaking as she sank to the ground.
She cried and cried until she could no more.
Pale eyes didn't have to be told what happened to rosy cheeks.
She knew.
When the two first met, pale eyes asked what rosy cheeks would do when he died to let his loved ones know he was safe.
I would make it rain, he responded.
Pale eyes got up off her shaky knees and ran back to the hospital.
Bursting through the doors, she ran up the stairs and into the suicide watch corridor.
She ran through rosy cheeks' door and slumped next to his bed.
She screamed when she saw the heart monitor confirming what she already knew.
He was gone.
She grabbed his hand.
Pale eyes sat on the cold hospital floor until she gained the courage to look at his face.
She noticed that he was peaceful.
He didn't show any sign of pain on his face.
For that she was grateful.
She leaned over and placed one last kiss on his lips.
Pale eyes pulled back and noticed that rosy cheeks' cheeks were now pale.
She sobbed and over time her eyes grew dull without rosy cheeks.
It was like she lived a different life.
She didn't recognize herself in the mirror.
She was now dull eyes.
And he, pale cheeks.
