Teen Sabo's POV (yay he gets one!!)
I glanced up from writing down a definition from my textbook to my notebook, at Luffy, who was complaining over and over for the last hour.
"Again, Luffy, just try to revise the basics first if you're having this much trouble" I said to him,
"Nuuuu, they're just as complicated as the important notes at the back of the textbook" He cried, "Makes my head hurt"
"But these are so simple. I don't think it'll be that bad, Luffy" Usopp confirmed in his opinion,
"No they're not, 1st year's exam aren't that hard. If you think that's bad and you're complaining now, imagine you reacting to 3rd year's exam"
Luffy had his face strained in his book,
"💧Ace help me out here. Ace?" I called to my other brother who was leaning back in the chair beside me, a textbook over his face and he was. .snoring?
"Ace! Wake up, you can't fall asleep now" I whisper-shouted as he jolted awake, "What happened to 'brothers for life', man?"
Ace rubbed his eyes as he sat up straight in his seat, "Forgive me that the library's the most quiet place to sleep in. Anyways Luffy, the exam's not gonna be so bad. It's a lot easier for you now than for us when we were in 1st year"
"Why did they have to give us the exams soo early anyways. You guys get a much longer date"
"Times changed, y'know. 3rd years are now required to do whole lots of community services and reports hence they gave us a long study break" I explained to him, "1st years exam are becoming normally easy"
"Be thankful that you get to deal with the exams early, you're booked for that tournament training" Ace reminded,
"That is true, well okay then. Back to studying I go!" Luffy picked up his textbook again and started making notes,
Ace and I watched him as we smiled, both of us felt very proud of our little baby brother growing up in highschool and we were so glad to see it happen,
Just then, Nami approached our table after spotting us, "Afternoon, guys"
"Hey Nami" The four of us greeted at the same time,
"Why isn't Nojiko studying with you two?"
"She prefers to study in her/yours dorm room than the library, remember? She says that the bookshelves makes her claustrophobic in a way" Ace replied to her, grabbing an empty chair and placing it in-between ours so Nami could sit down,
I had noticed earlier that Nami was appearing more tired than usual, however, she seems like she's feeling a little worse over the last month.
I know she's been catching up on the exam topics too since I was helping her, Usopp and Luffy one time.
She still appears normal and stable on the outside every other day, though with us as her closest friends, we tend to be much more prone to notice a change within our friend circle.
I never really questioned how quiet she's been as to how simple it was brushed off the last time any of the others asked.
So now I decided to give it a go, "Have you been feeling okay, Nami? You don't look so well as I far as I'm concerned"
"Yeah, anything or anybody's bugging you, let us know please" Ace said,
She let out a long sigh as she brushed her hair back behind her ear, "I have been feeling a bit stressed out over the last few days"
"About?" Usopp asked next,
Nami glanced down at the table, ". . . Some other things, right now I'm trying to figure out how to handle it well"
I placed my right hand on her shoulder, to which she was startled to for a second but relaxed, "You can talk to us or at least me for that matter. We can help you sort it out so what is it exactly?"
Nami looked at each of us, "Well, *sighs* it's about my--"
"I thought I'd find you here" The boy known as Grount, came up to us almost out of nowhere, and pecked Nami's cheek,
"Uh. .I just wanted to talk to my friends about something" Nami spoke, I saw that she was looking a bit tense when answering him,
He observed her features for a moment then at my hand that was still on her shoulder, he stared at it for quite a while which had me confused,
"So?" He refocused to Nami,
"Right, boys we'll be heading home soon for the evening, so tomorrow?" She said to all of us,
"Yeah, tomorrow. We're staying back a bit later before leaving, head home without us" Ace told her,
"Alright then, we'll catch up soon. Bye guys"
"Later, Nami👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻"
"See ya!" Luffy shouted,
"Shh! Luffy, not again, we've been over this" The librarian said, she couldn't be too mad at Luffy due to finding him adorable,
"Sorry, Ms. Librarian😁"
As soon as Nami was further away from us, I glimpsed Grount pecking her cheek again with his arm gripping firmly around her waist, as they got to the entrance he looked back at me from the corner of his eye, slightly glaring at me,
'What was that about?' I asked myself,
Seconds later, Usopp finally spoke up,
"Don't wanna sound too weird at the back of the book or anything. .hasn't anyone else noticed that there's some light scratches + scrapes on Nami's skin nowadays?"
I closed my books as I sighed an utmost relief, honestly, I would've been more silently perplexed at the thought if Usopp hadn't asked aloud,
"Thank heavens, I'm not the only one who saw it too😩"
"Bro, I noticed them for 2 months now. Except!" Ace began, "They look brighter now, like they're really new"
I turned to my brother at the last part, "Where does she keep getting those?"
It was Luffy's turn to speak, "She told me it's because of that wall down the hall at the fork where we separate to go to the girls and boys dorm. It's really jagged"
"And you believed what she said, Luffy?"
"I didn't at first til I heard similar incidents from other students so y'know"
"Me and the debate group have some unfinished business about it" I said in determination, "Though, let's be real, this is Nami. She's not the type to be getting such marks from just a wall 24/7. Even for 2 months straight.
Ace stiffled a laughter, "Unlike Luffy, when he couldn't get a good damn aim and ended up hurting himself every damn time"
"I heard that, Ace!"
"Hmm, I think someone's doing this to her" I seriously concluded, "No other logical explanation"
Luffy slammed his book down, "What?! Who would dare to hurt my best friend like that? Unless they want to die!"
Usopp had the same expression, "I know I wasn't here long but I doubt Nami would let that happen to her. She's strong-minded"
"Anything is possible, Usopp. No matter how a person is, we're still human. Others would say it's not our business but we'll help no matter what. Nami's considered our little sister too" Ace said, I nodded in agreement,
Right now, my mind could only go back to one thing and it's the way how Nami fidgeted after I tapped her shoulder + the way how she got tensed when Grount showed up.
"Is it wrong for me to say that I don't trust that guy hanging around?" Ace asked me,
I shook my head as I thought, 'I'll have to go look into this myself'

Teen Nami's POV
After leaving the library, Grount's hold on my waist gotten tighter as we were further down the hall that leads to the dorms,
I loosened it but he held onto my hand instead,
"You didn't have to come all the way into the library" I said with a straight face, looking ahead as we walked down a small slope to another part of the hallway til we finally reached some stairs leading up,
"You told me you were going to fetch your sister, not the library" He said to me, tightening his grip on me, "And what were you doing?"
"Doing what?"
"Don't act like you don't know"
"I saw my friends there while passing the entrance, I wanted to give them a heads up like every other day" I said, his next reply didn't sound too convincing,
"Should've let me know first. You disappeared on me so suddenly today anyways"
I removed his hand from around me and moved a few centimeters so I can walk freely, "I'm not gonna question how you found me but I am gonna ask WHY are you so invested knowing where I am now?"
I saw Grount looking away from me with an annoyed expression, it didn't bother me for I was annoyed with him too, "And don't think I didn't see you make that glare at Sabo"
"Tch" Was all I got out of him,
"You can't possibly be jealous!" I raised my voice at him as I stopped in front of him,
"Well I can + I should be!" His eyes stared deep into mine, "He should learn on keeping his hands to himself"
"Really?" I scoffed, hurriedly walking away from him, "That's all you have to say?"
He then started to go after me, demanding me to stop but due to being upset with him I didn't listen,
"Grount, they're my friends. It's natural for them to do that, they're like my brothers, perhaps if you were actually around them more, you'd see how different they are"
"Nami, wait!" He demanded again,
I only continued to walk faster seeing the first flight of stairs, I was relieved. Before I could take the first step (literally) Grount flashed in front of me and pushed me hard to the wall, pinning me against it.
"Would you stop being so b*tchy and listen to me, you shouldn't be walking away when I'm talking to you!" He shouted at me as he dropped my bag on the ground,
I groaned at how hard my back was pressed up. I bet the wall should've been broken by now depending on how many times this happened,
"Oh I'm being b*tchy? You're being so possessive over me all of a sudden, like what is your problem?!"
I glared back at him though I was a little scared, and I didn't want to give into the fear but when I saw a dark red gleam glowing in his eyes, I felt. . petrified,
He must've noticed it due to how he was giving me his signature smirk that only lasted for a few seconds before he started to caress my face in a gentle manner,
He looked into my eyes then stared long at my lips that were quivering, letting out a sigh he leaned in towards the crook of my neck,
"You. . .are really making me so impatient" Was all he said as he lightly kissed down at my skin and began cuddling as he now hugs me,
It all made me very, very confused, it felt kinda good yet it also didn't feel quite right to me,
"Please stop" I said, however he was so caught up in placing more light kisses on my shoulder that quickly turned into bites,
"Stop, this is not what I--"
"She said that's enough!" A familiar girl's voice shouted across from us in the hallway, it was Carina,
We were friends in junior high but after a test cheating scandal once, we sorta grew apart afterwards she moved away then moved back last year,
"Carina?" Grount turned around, letting me go same time,
'They know each other?'
"You really should know when to stop when a girl says it. Are you okay, Nami?" She asked, smiling towards me,
I only nodded at her. I then quickly left, silently going up the second flight of stairs and finally reaching the girls dorms,
My heart was racing and not in a good way,

Teen Nojiko's POV
I had just finished studying an important topic from my biology class + completing my half of a project Ace and I were assigned to when I heard the door open, knowing it was my sister,
I glanced at my phone, "Oh shoot, it's home time already? Help me pack up some of these things for the study leave then we can lock up"
"Duh, don't you look at the clock whilst studying? I told our parents you were gonna overdo it" She replied as she started to clear my desk,
"3rd year is torture, okay? Anyways, you look like somebody dragged you on the ground during P.E."
"Yes, it's my sister dragging me through her study mess-a-palooza" Nami remarked at me,
I tossed a pillow at her for that. We both laughed for a few minutes then continued packing.
It's been a while since we actually laughed together, not since our fight that is,
"Hey Nami" I started to say, "I know I haven't been paying much attention to you since I began 2nd year--wait what are those??"
I directed towards her arm, it was at this point that I took full notice of her current state,
Weeks ago, Nami started wearing that guy's jersey often apart from her own jacket. Normally she'd wear them tied around her waist and the ends of her blouse sleeves rolled up.
However recently, she wears her sleeves a bit lower and wears the jersey over her whenever we're alone or at home.
Now she has it off and there were bright scratches on her upper arms with little on her wrists, her school blouse was somewhat ruffled on her shoulder,
And she wasn't being as sassy 24/7 either which was way outta character for her,
"Nami, what happened to you, for real this time. No remarks this time please" I asked her worriedly, the scratches were seriously new,
Her face got sad, "I think you know"
My mind went back to the time of our fight and what it was about,
I widened my eyes at the realization, "Did he really do this to you?"
That's when my sister confessed about everything that I missed out on. Over the past 2 months, Grount has started to become quite aggressive and possessive over her, he even gets jealous when she's around random boys from her class or our friends.
"Why that little bastard!" I yelled in anger, "So that's why you were so stressed out lately, it's because of him!"
"I wanted to figure things out for myself since you and the others were busy" Nami said, still feeling sad and honestly I was sad too, "I tried to keep up with it but later I realized that I couldn't and now it's hard to get him off"
I was becoming more infuriated the more my sister explained some other situations up to the part with him in the library. It was still so unbelievable.
"I know I didn't fancy him but lemme scrap that. I'll go murder him right now, however before that, I think we should go report this" I suggested,
Nami pulled me back from reaching the door knob,
"C'mon, you can't seriously be defending him now after all this" I said,
Nami shook her head, "I'm not defending him at all. It's just. .I don't think it'll do much good knowing with how this school is already, they'll just say it's our problem. I did try to talk to someone about it but he always shows up outta nowhere, like following my every move"
"Now that's just deadass creepy" I commented, feeling a little frustrated, "Too bad our parents couldn't see it much, he behaves like a goody two shoes. So what are we gonna do?"
"I don't know. I really don't know what I even want in this and I'm very confused about him and myself, one moment he's normal and the next he's a total different entity of some sort. ."
My sister hid her face into a pillow, curling up her legs together while sitting on the floor. I could tell that she was scared and she hasn't been this much scared of anything since she was 4.
I sat beside her after I shut the door and removed that guy's jersey to the other side of the room, "Sis, I know you really do seem to like him and all, and I can't seem to say that I know how you feel because I haven't been there but is really worth it?"
She looked at me,
"I mean is it worth staying with him when he's treating you like this. That's not how a good relationship works, and I can't tolerate what he's doing to you"
"Well. . what do you suggest I should do now, Nojiko? I can't go back out there now"
"Tell you what, I'm taking you with me on study leave. You'll be out for a few days + we'll be with Sabo and Ace at their house for that time" I replied confidently, "Your 'boy' is due to go back to the North soon, though, don't tell him where you are"
Nami thought for a moment then nodded at my plan, "Sounds non-stressing enough for me"
"You'll have enough time to think about what to do next, you're almost 15 years old"
Nami nodded once more, "Yeah you're right *sighs* let's start packing my stuff now too, our driver will be here in a few minutes"
I did a proud smile, "Glad you agree. I promise, I won't let anything else happen to you"
"Thanks, Nojiko. I appreciate it from my big sis"
"One more thing, I know you're almost 15 but that doesn't mean you're ready for hickies. You may be queen sassypants but you're still innocent"
Nami threw a pillow in my face, I fell down laughing at how embarrassed she was,
"Not funny!"
"Too late, I laughed!"

Teen Nami's POV
I agreed on taking study leave for at least a week. 1st years exam starts on the first of June but luckily I had caught up on everything beforehand. Nojiko helped me revise or gave me practice quizzes.
I hadn't spoken or texted Grount since that evening, he hadn't followed us home. When he saw me at school the next day, I ignored him both online and face-to-face. I had to refrain myself from making any contact with him.
I started hanging out more with the boys and I started to feel much better. Nojiko took her leave early so she get some early rest when the time of her exam reaches.
Some days later, nearing mid May, as I was about to get ready to go off on my leave, something really upsetting happened,
~~One day during class~~
"What was that?" A girl in my class asked,
We heard someone running and we saw Ace skidding to a stop at our classroom's doorway, holding onto the frame to stop his speed,
"Mr. Portgas D. Ace, is there a good reason for interrupting my class?"
Ace was breathing heavily then Luffy came up behind him he was crying. Both brothers having their school bags all packed up, panic was all over their faces,
"S-Sorry sir, didn't mean to bother you but it's an emergency!" Ace breathed out,
That's when I heard a loud siren outside,
"What's going on?" My teacher asked,
"That's what the emergency is, sir. Nami" Ace called to me, "We gotta go to hospital ASAP, Sabo's hurt!"
I widened my eyes in shock, dropping my pen, "What? How?!"
The class and the teacher erupted in shock too, "Sabo?!"
"An ambulance is already here but we gotta go now!"
I immediately shoved everything into my bag then dash out the door. The teacher didn't mind for he and the entire class followed us.
I was running very fast with Ace and Luffy til we got to the entrance of the school. I swear, it's like the entire front yard was filled with every single 3rd year students and teachers.
Sabo has been the most productive and helpful student all throughout highskl time. It's really a surprise to all of us that something happened to him, he was also the star student of the class I was just having, only back when he was in 1st year.
"SABO!!"
The three of us finally made it to the ambulance where Usopp was waiting for us. They got our names and allowed us to tag along.
"Sabo, we're here" I softly told him, we all sat very close to him as the ambulance started moving off,
Sabo was lying down with his eyes were closed, unconscious, and he had small cuts on his face but what's worse was his arm, it was getting swollen, we were told that it was broken pretty badly,
Luffy was still crying, Ace and I hugged him though it was mostly me hugging both of altogether,
Usopp told me Luffy found him first and that Luffy saw him right when he was falling down the huge flight of stairs leading to the computer room.
Whoever did it, got away real fast.
We finally got to the hospital and Sabo was admitted to a room. We all waited anxiously.
Ace called Makino to pass the news to Dadan and the others back at the district while I called Nojiko.
Few minutes later, Nojiko arrives with Makino.
Nojiko hugged me, then she gave a long hug to Ace, "How is he?"
Ace tried to remain calm, "Doctor says. .he might have a concussion"
Makino gasped, "Oh my gosh"
"Apart from that, one of his arm's broken up to the elbow. They said he'd also broken his leg too" Ace finished, he couldn't go any further as he started crying as well,
"I should've been fast enough, I wasn't fast enough to catch who did this to my brother!" Luffy yelled, anger mixing with sadness,
Usopp and Makino tried to reassure him,
Nojiko embraced Ace again and he sobbed on her shoulder. It's kinda my first time seeing Ace cry like this but anything's possible when it comes to family.
"What if he never wakes up?" He tearfully asked,
My sister hugged him tighter, brushing his hair, "Don't think like that, Ace. Sabo will be alright, he just needs his brothers to believe in him"
All I could do was hope for the best right now, I am beyond worried.
"Sabo. . ."
Four hours passed and neither of us left the hospital. Sabo's doctor then approached us, giving us the news.
"Your brother's going to be fine. It'll take him some months to heal the fracture of his arm/leg"
I thanked in relief as well as the others,
"Can we go see him?" Makino asked,
The doctor gave us the go ahead after warning us about his concussion and that he'll be feeling some headaches when we try to talk to him,
"Sabo, you're okay" I happily whispered, each of us carefully hugged him as he laid down in bed, giving us a small smile,
"Sabo, I thought you were dying" Luffy said,
Sabo flicked his brother's forehead with his left hand, "Silly bro, a flight of stairs isn't gonna kill me haha"
"It did gave you a slight concussion, broken arm/leg + cuts though" Usopp said, I just flicked his forehead too,
"Looks like I'm gonna be sitting the exam late than everyone else"
"Ah forget about it and let's cut to the chase. Do you remember who pushed you?" Ace said,
"I don't. . really. My head's still spinning. I remembered that my arm got broken before the stairs" Sabo groaned in pain, as I helped him sat up, "Um, everyone, I wanna talk to Nami privately, please"
"No problem, bro. We'll be outside"
"What is it you wanna talk about, Sabo?" I asked, curiously seeing his face got a bit serious,
"Someone ambushed me in the computer room after it suddenly got dark for me to see. I acted too late and then my arm got broken right at that moment"
'Whoever it was attacked him blindly' I thought,
"What were you doing in the computer room at first, if I may ask?"
Sabo gave me a guilty look as he continued, "I got caught. . researching something, the person says that I was getting too close to finding out. I was very confused"
"But what does that have to do with me, Sabo?"
"Because I realized something else. Before I blacked out down the stairs, I grabbed this"
Sabo handed me a small piece of a fabric belonging to a different school uniform, "Nami, take a good look at my arm that's broken then think back to a few days ago"
I observed the fabric then at Sabo's arm in a cast, it was his right arm. I shockingly glanced back at the fabric and realized the similarity.
----"He should learn on keeping his hands to himself"----
I took a step back from the bedside, "No. . .I-I don't believe it"
"He did. I recognized his voice. I didn't know how else to tell you but please stay away from. . . .I think he's up to. ." With that, Sabo went unconscious again,
I called the others and the doctor said it was normal but he's gonna be monitored for the whole day.
However I was on the opposite and was so horrified at what we just talked about. I begged Nojiko to follow me back to the school,
"Wait, why I am going with?"
"I need a witness"
Some of the students were still out of their classes contemplating about Sabo's situation.
Nojiko held them off while I hurriedly pushed my way through the crowd like before, only this time, I was angry than worried,
'Where is he?!' My mind screamed out as I deliberately search the entire school,
Later, I found my so-called 'boyfriend' on the playfield practicing alone.
My fingers were already curling up into a fist, I wasted no time as I marched out there to him,
When he finally saw me, he pretended like nothing was wrong and that got me more flared up,
"Hi babe, what's going on--"
I cut him off with a punch to the face that almost sent him falling back on the ground,
"Don't you dare play nice with me like nothing's happened!"
"What the actual hell?!" He yelled while rubbing the side of his face as he looked at me,
I grabbed him up by the collar, frantically shaking him in anger, "Oh drop the act! I know what you did, don't pretend that you did not just sent Sabo to the hospital!" I yelled back at him,
"Oh, is that what this is about?" He lightly chuckled and didn't even try to hide the truth,
"Why though? How could you do that to him?! I can't believe you'd go this far out of jealousy. I really thought you wouldn't. . ."
He then gripped at my wrists tightly but I didn't let go of him as he spoke to me, "There's a lot of things you don't know or expect, what I did was just too easy. And you. ."
I questionably looked at him,
"You, sweetheart, was just so 'special' for me to lose. You really wanted so bad to be recognized for what you are and because of that you went with me, sad that you're sister didn't take it too well though I couldn't care less"
"W-What?"
He continued, "I may have been skeptical of considering whether or not you were my girlfriend but seeing how you are when it comes to me over the few months I've been here *smirks* I even had to make my point to your 2 friends when it comes to keeping away from you"
My eyes started to fill up with tears as I let go of his shirt, "You were really playing with us. . and me. I-I almost thought you were my. . ."
"Key word: Almost. At least someone like me had fun taking deep interest in you"
He then attempted to hug me but I quickly pushed him away and slapped him hard across his face again that you could probably see my hand printed out,
I wiped off the single tear falling from my eye as I glared coldly at him, I was in mixed emotions. I couldn't stand waiting around anymore so I pulled myself together to speak,
"Consider us done!"
I spun on my heel then began to walk away I saw my sister a couple of centimeters away from me,
She didn't have to ask for she understood the message, I felt that she was present the whole time. She took one final glance behind me and gently held my hand, "Let's go, Nami"
I remained silent along the way home and I had blocked him completely. Nojiko and I informed our parents about Sabo and everything else that's been going on.
I was very upset as I felt my heart broke. I cried for some time, and the situation was hectic thanks to my Dad; he really argued about it straight through.
**Sigh***
But fortunately all got handled in the way it should be.

"Sabo's in the hospital?!!" Vivi screamed out from my tablet, "Oh no, is he okay, please tell me, how is he?"
"He's okay, he's just gonna have to miss out the exams of the first few weeks" I replied,
"Thank heavens😖. How about you, how are you holding up after all that, and I can't believe he'd go that far"
I wiped away another tear and smiled, "I'll be fine, Vivi. I can handle myself. Besides, it was worth it and now I don't have to see him again. I ended things with him. He won't be coming back here"
"I'll be calling every chance I get to cheer you up over there" She put a hand to the screen, "Lucky I'm over here because no one plays with us girls and then thinks they gets away with it"

I extended my leave to a week and a half and did ended up going with Nojiko to Makino's house.
Apart from it being study leave, I was still moody about everything and I felt responsible for what happened with Sabo. Most of the time, I'd blame myself for being so naive.
Ace and Luffy took the entire week telling me I'm not, 24/7 day and night.
It turned out to be an emotional support leave in the first half.
When it got to mid May, I spent my remaining days studying at the hospital in Sabo's room. He was able to stay awake long enough and surprisingly he still remembered most of his year's notes.
His writing hand was out of service so he started practicing a bit with his left. And he catches on fast.
That made me feel more relieved.

No One's POV
**Burp**
"Oh my gosh, that's so gross. Can't act more lady like?" A girl with braided green hair, with a lollipop candy in her mouth, said to another girl who had brown hair,
"I can't help it, the breakfast was amazing, they had all kinds of potato dishes!"
"Dinner, Sasha, we just had dinner not breakfast" Usopp corrected,
"Really? Ohhh yeah. It's passed sunset"
Another girl with dark blonde hair and wearing a cap spoke, "You sleep too much, you know that. Anyways, I'm so glad you're back from study leave, Nami"
"We all are"
Nami smiled at the girls, "Thanks girls, apparently I heard you all couldn't do squat without me hahaha"
The green haired girl groaned, "Things were utterly so boring without you, who else could keep a good shot in dodge ball and spice up the moments when the teachers are out"
"And Nami, we're sorry about what happened with. . you know, and Sabo"
"It's okay girls, really. I'm already through with him, he's out of my way. Don't worry about Sabo, he got visits and encouragements way more than he anticipated at the hospital"
"That's a relief" The girls said in unison, "We visited him too on the weekend"
"Heyo I think Luffy and Ace are about to start a food fight between themselves again" The blonde girl said, looking back a bit as they heard a commotion,
"I'll take care it, with Sabo gone, I'm likely the only boy responsible enough to handle them" Usopp ran back to the direction of the dinning room and the girls walked on ahead,
"Girls, I think imma go use the restroom before we get to our dorms" Sasha said, "I had at least 4 to 5 glasses of strawberry smoothies"
"That's wayy too much" Nami commented,
"You can use the main one. It's back in use, we're almost there"
The girls made it to the entrance of the main restroom/bathroom they'd use during school time,
"One flickering light in there ain't too bad, anyways coming through!!" Sasha, the brown haired girl, zoomed through the door,
The three other girls laughed, "Classic"
"Imma go check on Usopp in the dining room, I don't believe he got it even 25% covered in there. Wait for me til I get back, girls" The blonde girl left,
Nami and the other girl leaned their backs against the wall as they waited for their other friend in the bathroom,
"So Nami, you heard anything from Carina?" The green haired girl asked,
"No, Suki, I haven't"
"I know you lot used to be talking in junior high so I just figured. Anyways, she wasn't seen around much while you were gone and she disappeared for most classes and missed practice yesterday"
"Missed practice?" Nami looked surprised,
The green haired girl, Suki nodded, "And she wasn't in our shared dorm much either. Kinda starting to worry where she was even this morning"
Nami thought back, confused how her former friend wasn't seen, "When last did you see her?"
"Hm, almost 2 weeks ago, early part of May. You?"
"Same here"
"This is awfully coincidental that we both didn't see her since then" Suki said as Nami nodded in agreement,
'I haven't seen her since she helped me at that moment by the stairs. Hope nothing happened to her after that' Nami said to herself,
Suki spoke again, "You know, Carina's not the only one playing M.I.A., I heard rumors from my cousin's school downtown that 5 more girls were gone off the grid too"
"I wonder how, did anyone find them?"
Suki shook her head, "Nah girl not yet. I'm just hoping no one else goes missing from here or there before summer vaca"
The two girls were lost in thought for a bit,
"Are we certain that Sasha had 4 to 5 drinks of--"
**Loud scream**
"What the frick was that??"
"Sash?!" Nami quickly ran into the bathroom and saw her friend sitting on the ground around the corner the showers, covering her mouth as she was shaking, "Sash! What's wrong, why'd you scream?"
Nami's eyes widened at what she saw next. In front of the girls was the body of another girl, lying on her side in a pool of water on the shower floor, the tap to turn it off was broken.
Her clothes were messed up due to the water washing away the blood running from her face and a cut to her stomach,
"C-Carina!!" Nami shouted as she fully recognized her, she teared up as covered her mouth in horror, "Oh my god! Carina!!"
"I'll go get help!" Suki said as she ran back out,
Usopp appeared shortly afterwards, "I know I'm not supposed to go in the lady's room but I heard a scream here--OH MY GOD!" He backed up, "I-Is she--??"
Sasha finally spoke, "No she isn't! I saw that she's still breathing"
Usopp calmed down, "Oh good grief"
"H-How did she get here, was she here this entire time I was gone?" Nami asked,
Sasha replied again, "I don't know. This entire section of the bathroom was flooded while I was in the stall. I went to check and. .saw her like this"
Nami hugged her friend who was still frightened to stand up. Her eyes wandered around until she heard a small cracking sound,
"I stepped in some glass" Usopp said,
Him and Nami looked to the side and saw one of the bathroom mirrors and windows shattered,
Usopp gulped in fear, "I'm no crime expert but this is obviously a fresh glass both newly installed and pertaining to now and still cracking up"
Nami attended to her unconscious friend in the water, she fixed the tap and turned off the shower, "This definitely happened recently"
Usopp gulped in fear again, shuddering, "Is the perpetrator still h-here??"
"Also no, all of the stalls were empty when I got here"
Nami glanced back at the broken bathroom window, feeling as if someone was watching her,
"So that means they got away, honestly I'd feel more relieved if there wasn't an injured student in front of us" Usopp finished,
"Help me patch up the wound on her stomach til Suki arrives with help" Nami instructed to them,"We can't let her lose anymore blood than she already has"
They stopped most of blood from running out and took out some remaining glass shards, just in time, a group of nurses and a police officer arrived to take care of the rest.
Nami asked for permission despite the late hour, to accompany them to the hospital while Usopp stayed back with the other girls as they were asked a few questions relating to the incident.
~~At the hospital (Again)~~
Nami waited outside of Carina's room for bit before deciding on going back to the school. She wasn't unconscious but Nami couldn't really bring herself to go inside directly.
'Why is this happening to the people I care about or close to?'
"Nami!" Nojiko called out, running up to her sister,
"Nojiko?"
"Usopp told me you were here and thank goodness you are too"
Nami furrowed her brows, forming another face of concern, "Oh no, what happened now?"
Nojiko pulled her sister to another hospital room not far from Carina's. In there, she saw their parents standing next to a little red haired boy on the bed. His eye was bandaged up along with his arms,
"Mom, Nate?!" She went over to them,
"After I stopped by at lunch, I wanted our parents to meet him at his school. Strangely, he wasn't present for the whole morning. Later on the way back to see if he was there in the afternoon. ."
"Some teenagers had him up pretty badly" Bell-mere finished, she put her palm on Nate's forehead, "They got away too, if only we'd known what the kid's been through before. He wouldn't even talk"
Nami sat beside the sleeping junior, "Oh Nate. . it's no wonder we haven't seen him lately on our breaks"
"First Sabo and now this little boy" Bell-mere said,
Nami sighed, her heart felt heavy with worry for her friends, "That includes Carina too"
"Carina's here?!" Nojiko asked, surprised,
"Why'd you think I'm here this late on a school night? Sasha and I found her bleeding a lot in the females bathroom we used after P.E."
"Usopp told me you were here, just not the Carina part. And did you say bleeding? Sounds like it's a lot worse than Sabo's situation"
"It was very coincidental that both Suki and I last saw her before I went on leave yet the accident looked recent"
"Things aren't looking up for the month of May if we have 3 incidents happening really close to the other" Their Dad joined in the conversation, "You girls should stay close to each other both in and out of school"
"It's best that you both don't go anywhere else, further investigations already taken place at junior high because of what happened to your friend here"
The two sisters nodded at their parents words simultaneously.
Nami still couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched that time in the bathroom,
She whispered to Nojiko, "Um, sis?"
"Yeah?"
"If whatever's happening is what I think it is. .I just hope I'm wrong"
Nojiko squeezed her sister's hand to reassure her, "I'll look out for you no matter what. I'll cut my leave short and come back soon, I promise"
Nami gave her a gentle smile, "I really appreciate that from you most of all for being here"
The sisters looked back at their sleeping friend as hundreds of unanswered questions went through their heads that night. . .
Neither knew or expect what was about to happen next. . . . .
