Sienna's POV:

As my car pulled up to the driveway, Victor emerged with a warm smile, his eyes reflecting a mix of excitement and apprehension.

"Sienna! It's so great to finally have you here," Victor exclaimed, his voice tinged with emotion.

I returned his smile, feeling a knot of anxiety loosen in my chest. "Yeah, it's good to see you too, Victor."

Yeah so... I or erm - we agreed that until I'm not 18 I will be going to mom's and dad's weekly.

Victor told me that I don't have to do that if I don't want to. But deep down I am fucking excited to get to know him.

And after a small bickering with Mom, she agreed.

Graciously, Victor helped me with my bags, creating an instant sense of comfort. The atmosphere was charged with the anticipation of creating memories, and perhaps even healing old wounds.

Walking into Victor's house, I noticed a certain level of disarray – papers strewn across the table, a half-empty coffee mug, evidence of a busy life. Victor chuckled nervously, apologizing for the mess as he explained his hectic schedule and the lack of time to tidy up.

I shrugged, giving him an understanding look. "Hey, don't worry about it. I've seen worse."

Victor laughed, relieved by my easygoing response. "Thanks for understanding. You know, life's been a bit crazy lately."

"Come let me show you the house," Victor said with a smile.

We continued our tour through the house, engaging in small talk that felt oddly familiar despite the years of separation.

"So, how's school been?" Victor inquired, glancing at me as we walked.

I shrugged, a playful smile on my lips. "The usual teenage drama, you know? But it's alright. I'm managing."

The journey felt like a puzzle, with each piece of shared information bringing us closer to understanding each other.

With a gesture of nervous pride, Victor finally showed me to my room. The door swung open to reveal a meticulously decorated space – a reflection of Victor's attempt to create a welcoming environment for his daughter.

My eyes danced around the room, taking in the neutral theme he had chosen. Soft shades and timeless decor adorned the space, and as I gazed at the thoughtful details, my heart warmed even more.

Victor's voice trembled slightly as he admitted, "I wasn't sure what you'd like, so I went for something neutral."

I sat on a soft chair running my hand over the material.

I met his eyes, my heart was touched by his effort to make me feel at home. I grinned, a mixture of gratitude and understanding shining through.

"I love it, Dad. It's perfect."

The awkwardness I initially felt melted away, replaced by a deepening connection.

Victor's face softened and his body relaxed.

He let out a contented sigh. "You know, Sienna, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm really looking forward to having a busy and noisy home."

I arched an eyebrow, a playful smirk playing on my lips. "Busy and noisy? Are you sure you're ready for that?"

Victor chuckled, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Absolutely. I can just imagine the hustle and bustle of a house filled with laughter, arguments, and oh-so-many stories."

I couldn't help but laugh. "Well, get ready for the chaos, Dad. I can be quite the handful."

"Oh, I'm counting on it," Victor replied with a wink.

He then chuckled. "And to be quite fair it was clear since I've seen your case at the department."

I scoffed, trying to act innocent. "Oh, that little thing? Pfft."

Our conversation took a slightly more serious turn as Victor tried to offer some fatherly advice. "You know, Sienna, as you navigate through life, there's one thing I've learned. Always follow your heart and trust your instincts."

What the fuck?

I leaned back in my chair, a knowing smile on my face. "That's like the most classic and shitty advice ever. But thanks, I appreciate it."

Victor blushed slightly, realizing he might have gone a bit overboard with the cliche advice. "Well, you see, I'm still learning this whole 'dad' thing."

I burst into laughter, my amusement was undeniable. "Oh, come on. Did you get that from a self-help book or something?"

Victor playfully pretended to be offended, placing a hand over his heart. "Hey now, I'll have you know that advice is timeless!"

I couldn't contain my laughter. "Okay, okay, you're right. Thanks, old man."

"Old man?" Victor pretended to gasp, placing a hand on his chest in mock astonishment. "I'm not that old!"

I raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Says the guy who just gave me advice straight out of a 90s sitcom."

We both burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the house.

I felt a deep sense of gratitude for this newfound connection with my father. I bet our journey will be a blend of heartwarming moments, genuine conversations, and even some good-natured teasing.

I will cherish this moment for years to come – a reminder that even in the messiness of life and the challenges of missed years, love and understanding can find their way into the most unexpected corners of the heart.

"You know I might like your dad better now," Kane admits

I raise an eyebrow as I look at him. "Not intimated by him being an officer anymore?"

"Hell yes, I am. But it's not that bad."

I chuckled. "Because he let you into the house knowing we would be alone?" I say with a smile.

"I mean....Now we got all the house to ourselves." He smirked cheekily. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" He asks, walking towards me and standing close enough so I can feel his body heat.

Damn, so we are playing this game, now huh?

Bring it on.

I grin and take a brave step towards him. "And what are you thinking? Because I for sure as hell have a lot of things on mind." I grin teasingly.

He smirks back. "Well, a little flirting never hurt nobody, right?" He asks with a smile while moving his head closer to mine.

I shake my head in amusement. "This is leading to something more than flirting, mister."

"Got me there." He grins. "What I had in mind was..." He says before stopping and lowering his voice so that only I could hear what he's saying..."A nice little kiss." He smiles.

"Is that all cool with you?" He asks with humor evident in his tone, bringing his lips close to mine.

I laughed.

Before I could say anything Kane sighed "God you are gorgeous," He said with a soft smile on his face. "Just like looking at a painting," He adds as he gently moves a strand of my hair out of my face.

"Looking at a painting is a boring activity."

He smiled. "I don't know... I quite enjoy myself looking at you."

I chuckled.

"What's so funny?" He asked playfully.

"I'm imagining me being hanged on a wall while you just stare at me. What a weird kink."

He laughed loudly.

"Okay, that is a frightening thought."

I smiled.

Don't tell anyone but this man is the epitome of beauty. I could stare into his eyes all day long.

Just like he said... Like a damn painting.

However, I'm never admitting this out loud. At least not now.

"I'm just lost for words, you took my breath away." He broke the silence as he slowly moved the hand on my cheek to my chin and he just looked into my eyes. "I don't think I can ask for anyone more beautiful than you, Sienna."

I blushed, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and happiness. "Well, I think you're just saying that because you're trying to distract me from your weird kinks."

He chuckled, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Guilty as charged. But really, Sienna, you're like a masterpiece that I can't believe I stumbled upon."

I rolled my eyes playfully. "Smooth talker."

He pretended to be wounded, clutching his chest dramatically. "I'm hurt! Can't a guy appreciate the artistry of the universe?"

I couldn't help but crack up. "Oh, so now I'm the universe?"

"You've got it. You're my universe. And I promise not to hang you on any walls."

"I appreciate that," I said with a grin. "But you better keep it that way. I won't tolerate any strange decor ideas."

"Deal," he replied, leaning in to plant a soft kiss on my forehead. "No weird decor."

I leaned into his touch, feeling a sense of completeness. "You know, for a guy who laughs at weird kinks, you're pretty likable."

He grinned. "Lucky for me."

There was a pregnant silence for a moment before Kane broke it.

"Sienna?"

I hummed.

"How strong is Victor's punch? He asked with a sheepish smile.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at him. "For what?"

Kane opened his mouth to answer but was cut off by a deep voice.

"Pretty damn strong, boy," Victor said with narrowed eyes. The threat is visible in his glare.

That man spawned out of nowhere.

Kane immediately let go of me and put a generous amount of space between us. "Hello, sir..."

I laughed, throwing my head back.

As Victor's menacing presence loomed over us, I couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of the situation. It was as if my life had suddenly transformed into one of those dramatic novels I used to listen to Cheryl rent about.

Kane's uneasy greeting and hasty retreat only added to the comedy of the moment. The contrast between his sheepish smile earlier and his current deer-in-headlights expression was nothing short of comical.

As my laughter subsided, I turned my attention to Victor, studying the intensity in his eyes and the set of his jaw. Despite his formidable appearance, I had come to realize that there was more to him than met the eye. Sure, he was fierce and stern, but beneath that exterior was a layer of protectiveness that I had grown fond of.

"Sienna?" Kane's uncertain voice broke through my thoughts.

I looked at him, a mischievous grin playing on my lips. "Don't worry, Kane. You're safe from Victor's punch—for now, at least."

Victor's lips twitched, almost hinting at a smile. It was a small gesture, but it spoke volumes about the complex relationship that had developed between us.

With a shrug, I stepped forward, my gaze bouncing between the two very different men in my life.

Kane managed a sheepish smile, relief washing over him as the tension ebbed away. Victor's stern expression softened, his gaze lingering on me for a moment longer than usual.

"Life is full of surprises," Victor muttered, his tone gruff as always.

I chuckled, feeling a warmth in my chest that had nothing to do with the situation's humor. "Yeah, and I'm starting to think that's not such a bad thing."

As we stood there,  I realized that sometimes the most unexpected connections were the ones that held the most meaning. Amid danger, laughter, and the quirks that made us who we were, I found myself embracing the change in my life.

And so, I was finally saved.
