"They're my brothers Adonis" I said and all their heads snapped in my direction
"What?!" Seb yelled and I casted him a warning look
"You still haven't answered the question bambina. How do you know them?" Antonio asked as he took me from Adonis with a tight smile. Both of them glaring at each other
"I met them a very long time ago. They are like a family to me, they're my brothers, he is my dad and he is my old man" I told him and he eyed me suspiciously
"How?" Ales asked and I took a small trip down memory lane
*Flashback*
"Mom please take me with you, I promise I'll be good" eleven year old me begged my mother as she packed her bags
"Baby relax it will only be for six months, besides you have Luke with you. You'll be fine as long as you stay with him" she said and I fought back the urge to scream at her face that I'd be in danger if she left me with him
"I don't want to stay with Luke mom. I want to stay with you please take me with you" I pleaded desperately, tears falling from my eyes like a fountain. She looked at me and sighed before bringing me into a hug
"Honey, you have to stay home. Please understand that I'm doing this for you, I'll be back in six months, it's not that long" she tried to explain to me and I shook my head rapidly
"Please don't leave me with him mom. Take me with you" I almost yelled from fear and she frowned
"Honey is there a reason why you don't want to stay with Luke" she asked worriedly and i nodded
"Don't take her seriously babe. You know children, she'd always choose to be with you than with me" Luke said as he walked in and I stiffened in fear
"You're probably right just give me a minute to calm her down" mom said with a fearful look. Luke hesitantly left not before glaring at me
"Baby he's gone now. So tell me why you don't want to stay with him" she whispered. I was about to spill everything when I remembered his words
'If you tell your mother anything then I'm going to kill her infront of you'
I shivered at the thought of him doing something to my mom. Better me than her
"Nothing mom. Just don't leave me with him" I said softly
"I'm sorry honey but I have to go right now. Just stay with Luke and nothing with happen to you" she said and went out the door. I let out a sob knowing there was nothing I could do to stop her from leaving now
"Goodbye baby. Call me when you get there, I love you bye" Luke said in a sweet voice making it hard to believe that he could be such a monster
"Bye please take care of her" mom said not noticing the wicked smirk that came across his face
"Of course, I'll take good care of her" he said and that was all my mom needed to leave
"You were gonna rat me out to your mother right?" He asked as soon as he closed the door
"N-no" I stuttered. I winced in pain when he pulled my hair
"Stupid bitch did you forget what I told you would happen if you told her?" He sneered slapping me across the face
"I'm sorry" I said, tears threatening to spill again
"Oh you'll be sorry by the time I'm done with you" he said darkly and kicked me in the stomach, forcing a scream out of my mouth
Surprisingly that was all he did and then he left. That's not possible, knowing Luke he'd never stop halfway through a beating except he had something else in mind.
I made my way upstairs with much difficulty and went to my room. I struggled to take a shower and fell on my bed, sleep wrapping me tightly in it's embrace
I woke up again and looked around. It was already dark and Luke hasn't come back yet, lucky for me
Suddenly I heard some voices downstairs and I slowly went down to hear Luke talking to some men
"Yes she's yours for six months. You can do whatever you want with her" Luke said as a man handed him some money. I held in a gasp at what I heard, he's going to sell me?!
I hurriedly went back up stairs and packed some clothes in my school bag. I don't know where I'll go but it'll be better than staying and allowing him to sell me off like that. I climbed out from my window and walked down the street into a dark alley
There I saw a man beating up another man and then shot him in the head. I gasped and pushed my hand against my mouth. The man turned his head towards me and my eyes widened in fear
"I-im s-sorry I d-didn't s-see anything" I stuttered backing away from him
"It's okay little one. It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you I promise" he said softly and put his gun down. Letting me know that he meant no harm
"What's your name sweetheart?" He asked coming closer to me
"Gabriella" I said staring at him apprehensively
"It's okay I don't want to hurt you. Why are you out so late at night?. It's not safe, let me take you home" he said and I shook my head in panic
"Please no I don't want to go back please don't take me back" I pleaded with him
"Okay it's okay. Do you want to come with me?. I can take you to my house" he said and I weighed my options. If I go with him then I'd be safe from Luke and those men he was planning to sell me to.
"Okay" I said meekly and he smiled at me
"What's your name?" I asked
"My name is Nikolas my dear. Now let's get you out of this terrible place hmm?" He said and I nodded
That day he took me to his house and his family welcomed me with warm arms. His children became like brothers I never had. The bond that we shared was something that can never be broken.
After the first three months I called him papa by accident and he told me it was okay to call him that because he saw me as his own daughter. His wife was out of the picture as she died a year before we met, but from everything they told me about her, I could conclude that she was a lovely woman
When they trusted me completely, they told me about their mafia and helped me learn how to protect myself, the only person I told about Luke was papa and he promised not to tell the others until I was ready
"Bambina?" I felt someone shake me and I looked up to see Nico
"We met when I was living with mom" I said vaguely. They don't need to know exactly how and why we met
"That's obvious but how did you get in contact with the Greek mafia sorella?. Is there something you're not telling us?" Dom asked
"Don't pressure her. If she doesn't want to tell you how we met then leave her alone" Adonis said calmly but I could hear the anger in his voice
"The fuck you talking about?!. She's our sister!" Xander yelled making Antonio glare at him harshly and he shut his mouth
"Bambina it's okay if you don't want to tell us exactly how you met, no one will force you to. For now let's get this dinner started" Antonio said giving a subtile glare at Xander
We moved to the dining table where the maids had already set up alot of food. I sat between Xander and Seb when I saw the looks they were giving each other
I was about to get some food on my plate but Adonis beat me to it. He and Seb turned it into a habit to always put food on my plate before serving themselves. I looked around and saw my brothers eyeing us but didn't say anything
"So darling how are they your brothers?" Adonis asked
"Well apparently I had a father and brothers but mom never told me that. So when she died Antonio here got my custody" I explained and it looked like it took them some time to process the information
"Wait! Your mama is dead?!" Seb yelled in shock and I swallowed the lump in my throat before nodding. My expression suddenly turned sour
"I'm sorry Αγαπημένος" he said when he saw my expression. (Sweetheart)
"It's okay" I said
"Well this dinner was because we have an offer for you" Papa said
"What offer?" Antonio asked skeptically
"Why don't we become allies?. We have one common enemy and that's the Russians so why not work together?" Adonis said. Antonio's expression was blank but his eyes showed his answer
"Of course. You can send the papers and I'll sign them" he said
"But why didn't you guys have your meeting in the office?. Why dinner papa?" I asked curiously
"Well Sebastian here decided that he wanted to hit on the mafia princess. He whined about this for a long time so we gave in but we would never have imagined that it would be you" Adonis said with a light chuckle
I looked at Seb and saw him already looking at me, his face red from embarrassment. I couldn't hold it in anymore and laughed loudly
"You wanted to hit on me?" I asked after I managed to calm down
"No that's disgusting, you're my sister. I was going to hit on the mafia princess, I never knew she'd be you!" He screeched
"You wanted to hit on my sister?" Damon growled
"That was before I found out that the girl I wanted to hit on was my sister. Thanks Gabriella" Seb grimaced
Throughout the dinner, we talked and laughed, well some of us did. My brothers were oddly quiet watching our interaction and I knew they had alot of questions
Too soon, the dinner ended and they had to leave. Leaving me to face my brothers who were giving me weird looks
"Can you tell us what's going on now?" Nico asked
