(Kinda a continuation of chapter 7 well in more detail also, slight spoilers for A series of unfortunate events)
I lead Gem into the living room. My parents were on a trip and wouldn't be back for another week. We sat down and I asked,
"Want to watch A series Of Unfortunate Events? We're on the reptile room part one, right?" Gem smiled and nodded.

Gem jumped as Count Olaf ran towards Uncle Monty. I held her closer and she leaned on my shoulder. In the next episode, when they find the body she shivered. "What did Olaf do to him?" She asked. And in the Wide Window she gasped and said, " Wow! Those lacromose leeches are TERRIFYING!"I
"I know! Wouldn't want to cross them. And why did aunt Josiphine eat a banana when she watched the leeches eat her husband and knew they were dangerous. Also Count Olaf is really smart but not smarter than 3 children! One of them is a BABY!"
" But Sunnys really smart and don't forget her unnaturally sharp teeth. And Violets one of the best 14 year old inventors. Though. I think she may be the only 14 year old inventor. "
Gem ended up falling asleep half way through the austere academy. I fell asleep not long after that.
