The next few weeks passed-by uneventfully. Ella was still on guard, listening out for gossip or rumors regarding the situation. To her relief, neither she nor her friends had heard anything identifying her as a person that had been spied on in the shower and she was surprised that after a few days of everyone talking about it, it seemed to fade away. Also, her anxiety from the breach of her privacy was eased knowing the boys that saw her were no longer at the school.
Her interactions with Dr Moustakas were few and he seemed to have put the entire incident behind him. She didn't mind though. The less he spoke to her the more at ease she was. Even though he had been nice to her on more than one occasion, she still was uneasy around him and tried her best to avoid him. He didn't seem to take any pity on her or treat her any different from the other students. She was glad of this, but that meant she was subject to his strict expectations. She did her best to always be prepared for his class and not draw attention to herself and so far, that had been working.
