I was shocked, furious, and confused. They sold her to the mafia?! I brought her inside and got her some towels. I was still in shock. I had hoped they wouldn't try to marry her off. I need to find out what happened.
"Bumblebee?" Lucifer called
I turned around and saw Lucifer. He was probably worried that I wasn't in bed.
"Hey, hun, you remember my sister, Gigi," I said
"How could I forget? You scared me, my love," he said
"Sorry baby, the doorbell rang and you were deep asleep," I said
"Its ok hun, what brings your sister here?" he asked
"I'm sorry to show up at your house unannounced, Mr. Morningstar. I just had to see my sister," she said
"Tell us what happened, Gigi," I said
She began to explain everything that happened without leaving a single detail. I was shocked, and I couldn't believe it! How could they do this?!
"You mean to tell me that dad borrowed money from the mafia because they were bankrupt and know this man is forcing them to make you marry his son?!" I yelled
"Y-Yes, I just had to get out of that house," she sniffed
"Why didn't they just get a loan from the bank or something?!" I asked
"Their friends turn their backs on them after what they did to you, and I can't blame them, but to borrow money from the money is a low blow," she said
"I can agree, but I'm confused. If their debt was paid, why involve you in the mix?" he asked
"I have no idea; I don't want to marry some stranger I don't know, no matter how good-looking he is. S-Sis, I can't go back there. I need space from them. Can I stay here for a little bit, please?" she sniffed
It broke Lucifer and me to see my little sister in this state. I thought I was willing to speak with them and forgive them correctly, but after hearing this, I realized they don't deserve forgiveness! I could kill both of them. I was right about them all along; money and Status mean a lot to them!
"Of course, you can stay, Genevieve, take all the time you need," I said
"I have many guest rooms and a guest house if you want your own space," he said
"I can stay in the guest house. I can give you guys some space, thank you sis, and thank you, Mr.Morningstar," she said
"You're a welcome child," he said
I hugged her and helped her calm down.
"You're family, lil sis. You're welcome," I said
30 minutes...
After helping her settle in the guest room, I was beyond pissed off. How could they do this to her? Whether they were bankrupt or not, they still chose to do this and knew they'd sold my little sister away to the mafia! I can't let this happen. I'm going to give them both a piece of my mind! I felt Lucifer's arms wrap around my waist.
"Breath baby," he said
"I just can't believe them. I'm going to meet them tomorrow and give them a piece of my mind," I said
"At their house?" he asked.
"Nope, I'll arrange to meet them tomorrow and find out what this is about," I said
"I'll be there with you," He said
"Thank you, baby," I said
"Always, my love, and after you confront them, we're heading to lunch to meet with my best buddy and his girlfriend." He said
"Sounds good, who are they?" I asked
"Javier and Zyra. They visiting from Spain," he said
"I can't wait to meet them," I said
"You'll love him; let us get back into bed. I miss your cuddles," he told
*giggles*
We headed back to bed and snuggled back to sleep.
The Next Day,
My parents have called Gigi all night and half of the morning. She's been ignoring their calls. She has buried herself in the guest house and doesn't want to talk to anyone. It broke me to see her this way. I texted my parents and arranged for them to meet Lucifer and me at a local coffee shop. I'm ashamed of them; how could they do this?
"Are you ready, love?" he asked
"More than ready babe," I said
30 minutes later...Starbucks Coffee
I agreed to meet them at Starbucks Coffee. Once they came, they looked utterly nervous and surprised that I reached out. I originally came here to forgive them, but they don't deserve any chances after what's happening to Genevieve.
"Lina, thank you for wanting to meet with us," said Slyvia
"We wanted to apologize for keeping you and Gigi apart. We were planning to introduce you both after we found you. We know that's no excuse, but we're sorry for what we did to you and her," said Marcus
"Why? If I recall, you didn't want any more children after you had me, and yet you did have another baby and not tell her about me? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW THAT MADE ME FEEL WHEN I FOUND OUT ABOUT HER THAT DAY?!" I shouted
"It was like a knife wound to the chest. She didn't know about me, nor did I. What, did you two just decide to kill me off after Grandpa and Nana cut you out of their will, Marcus? Or is it because Margaret and Pappy left me a HUGE trust fund and didn't leave you a dime, Slyvia?" I said
They both were stunned, as they should be
"H-How did you?" she stuttered
"Auntie Meredith told me. Theo and I were supposed to receive ours at age 18, but I didn't get mine. If you spent my trust fund, you'll be hearing for an attorney, and I'll sue you both for embezzlement!" I yelled
"Lina, we didn't spend your trust fund. We did know about it, but we didn't access it. It's in a private account that only you can access. I'll admit when my parents cut me out of the will, I was furious, but it made us reflect on how terrible we were to you," he said
"He's right, and as far as Gigi, we didn't plan on having another baby; she just happened. After she was born, we felt this was a second chance for us to do what's right. What we did to you was unjust, inexcusable, and hurtful. We were going to introduce you both. We tried for years to find you, but my sister and her husband refused to tell us where you were living," she said
"How could you not tell Aunt Meredith and Uncle William about her?" I asked
"My sister and I haven't been on speaking terms for years. We weren't the closest," she said
"That much I know, but besides the point, how could you two just marry her off to the mafia?!" I asked
They were stunned.
"H-how d-did?" stuttered Dad
"Gigi told me everything. She came to Mine and Lucifer's place last night and tried to me. She told me you two borrow money from the mafia to stay afloat. Let me guess, you two signed her away in exchange for money?!" I yelled
"Lina, please calm down; let us explain," said Mom
"Y-yes, we did borrow money from the mafia. My businesses were falling apart, and I turned to Sergei for help-" said Dad
"You borrowed money from Sergi Vasiliev?" asked Lucifer
"Y-yes, You know him?" said Mom
"He's Lucifer Morningstar Slyvia; he knows everyone," I said
"You two are impossible; you should have never borrowed money from him," he said
"He gave us three months to pay back the money, but we didn't have it then. Then, our debt was repaid by some miracle, but he told us there was interest. Gigi has to marry his son when she turns 18," said Dad
"We didn't want it for her. We didn't have a choice after our debt was paid; Sergei said we had to pay interest," said Mom
"We didn't know who settled our debt, but we assumed you did," said Dad
"HOLD ON, YOU THOUGHT I PAID YOUR DEBT? Is that why you tried to find me, hoping I would get you out of debt?!" I shouted
"W-well, we did hope you could help us, but-" said Dad
"I can't believe this! I knew this was a bad idea," I said
"Lina, please, we didn't-" Mom said before I cut her off
"Enough; I can't believe I'm related to you both. I was right all along. Money and Status are all you two care about. I originally came here to forgive you guys, but after hearing all this and what you've done, You two don't deserve a second chance. " I said
They were stunned and hurt by my words, as If I cared. Their actions are inexcusable.
"Also, in case you haven't figured out, my little sister is staying with Lucifer and me for a bit," I said
We proceeded to leave, but my father stopped us.
"Lina?" said Dad
"What, Marcus?" I asked
"What we did was painful and hurtful. We left scars on you that will never heal, but believe me when I say we truly regret what we've done. You may find this also hard to believe, but we do love you, and we're very sorry," said Dad
"You're our daughter, and you always will be. We love you, Evangelina," said Mom
Hearing them tell me they love and acknowledge me as their daughter was something I wanted to hear, but I could never let them back into my life again. They had their chance. As Grandma said: "It takes a big person to apologize and an even bigger person to accept that apology." "Forgive but never forget."
"I'll never forget what you two did to me, and I have no desire to have you two in my life ever again...but I forgive you both," I said
They were silenced and sad.
"Goodbye, Mom and Dad," I said
I left with Lucifer and didn't look back. That was the first time I called them Mom and Dad in a long time. It was a massive weight on my shoulders. Now, about Gigi, there must be a way to get her out of this arranged marriage.
"How are you feeling love?" he asked
"I honestly feel better; I forgave them and said goodbye to them," I said
"I'm so proud of you, my love, and about your sister, I'll have a little talk with Sergei," he said
"Are you certain?" I asked
"Not to worry, my love, he fears me more than death. We have an understanding," he said
*And he knows the price to pay if he crosses me* - Lucifer thought
"Just be careful; I know how the mafia is. Very cutthroat and ruthless," I said
"Oh my darling, you're so sweet. You have nothing to worry about. The mafia world knows better than to screw with me; you have nothing to worry about," he said, caressing my bottom lip.
"Know, let's go have lunch with my best bud Javier," I said
20 minutes later...
We arrived at this tall, skyscraper building on the Upper West Side. It was taller than the W Hotel in Times Square. Once we reached the penthouse floor, we were greeted by two guests. So this must be Javier and Zyra.

Darling, this is one of my best bros for life: Javier Rodriguez, the Don of the Spanish Mafia. He's the most feared mafia leader in the world. He's known as Thanatos. Like me, he's very respected and feared by all. He won't be afraid to end anyone's life if they cross him. This is his girlfriend, Zyra Nightray, daughter of Lord Jack Nightray and Lady Diana Nightray. They are visiting from Spain.
"I can see why you two are best buds; you two are both ruthless," she said
*laughs*
"And we always will be till the end of time," said Javier
"Javier, Zyra, meet Evangelina Winston, my girlfriend, the love of my life, my bumblebee," I said as I kissed her forehead.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Javier and Zyra," I said
"It's a pleasure to meet you finally meet you, you're so gorgeous," said Zyra
"I'll say Lucifer hasn't shut up about you since you two met," said Javier
*laughs*
"Zyra, this is my best bud, Lucifer Morningstar. He's the CEO of Morningstar Enterprises; He now owns all of New York," said Javier

After a delicious Italian lunch, Zyra and Bumblebee got to know each other on the terrace while Javier and I discussed business. This mysterious figure is targeting them and their families.
"It has gone crazy, bro; this bastard is after Zyra and won't stop at nothing to have her," said Javier
"I can send Nali and Arioch to find him. They can sniff out anyone who's lurking in the shadows." I said
"Thanks, bro, but not this time. All that matters is keeping Mi Amor safe, " said Javier
"I can agree on that; I'm making sure my bumblebee stays safe after what happened," I said
"I just can't believe that crazy pregnant psycho bitch tried to kill her over her ex-husband," said Javier
"Agreed, she was lucky she was pregnant; otherwise, I would've let my torturer put her head on a spike," I said
"I would have loved to see that, but she's in jail. That's all that matters," said Javier
"Yep, the trial is approaching soon," said Lucifer
"Now, about Evaneglina's ex-husband? I could send my boys to teach him a lesson," said Javier
"Not to worry about that; she has a restraining order against him; if he tries anything, a court order or not, He's DEAD MEAT," I said
"Agreed," he said
On the Terrance...

Zyra and I got to spend some time together. She explained to me what's happening right now in her family. It's shocking to know this bastard is harassing her and her family. It's painful to see what happened to her Mama Lee.
"I'm sorry for breaking down to you like this, Evangelina," she said
"Sweetie, don't apologize, and please call me Lina," I said
"I'm just frustrated with all that's happened. I want this nightmare to end. It feels like history repeating itself," she said
"What do you mean?" I asked
She began to tell me about all the obstacles that her parents and her family, particularly her mother, went through before she was born, how her mother was stalked and kidnapped by a former classmate who developed an unhealthy obsession with her. Her father landed in the hospital because of him, and now this is happening. Poor thing, she doesn't deserve this.
"Don't worry, Zyra, things will get better. Lucifer and I are here to help as well whenever you need. And don't worry, whoever is cretin is will be brought to justice and will pay for what they did," I said
"Thank you, Evangelina, that means a lot to me," she said
"My pleasure, hun; keep your head up high and fight for those you love," I said
She embraced me with a hug, and we continued to chat. She's a sweet, fearless girl. I can see why Javier is infatuated with her; she's a strong and kindhearted girl who's a real badass.
End of the day,
We've said our goodbyes to Zyra and Javier; they had to travel back to London to care for family and business matters. I hope all goes well with the search for Mama Lee and the capture of this mysterious figure. Lucifer and I headed back to his estate. Once we arrived, we found Genevieve in the kitchen, eating ice cream and chatting with Veronica.
We joined them, and Veronica lifted her spirits.
"Hey guys, " she said
"Hey, how are you feeling?" I asked
"I'm still processing. I can't believe this is happening to me," she said
"Don't worry, we'll figure out something," I said
"Where did you guys go?" she asked
"We went to confront Mom and Dad," I said
"They know you're here with us safe and sound. They know you snuck out," he said
"What happened at the meeting?" she asked.
I explained what happened, even how they assumed I paid off their debt and that we still don't know who paid it to this man.
"I can't believe they would think that you settled their debt," she said
"I know it's crazy, but long story short, Dad told me how they were truly sorry and that they really did love me and will always be their daughter," I said
"D-Did you forgive them?" she asked
*deep breathes*
"I did, but I have no desire to let them back in my life. You and I can have a relationship, but I've said my goodbyes to them," I said
"I fully understand where you are coming from, sis, and I fully support you a lot," she said
"As do I, sis; I appreciate that a lot," I said
*Phone rings*
"Sorry, love, I have to take this call," he said
"Alright, baby," I said
Lucifer left the room, and I shared some cake with Gigi.

After lunch with her parents, I received a call from the judge and my attorneys that the trial would be within a week. Also, I will make a little trip to see him; perfect; once that wench and that bastard are behind bars, I'll confess the truth to Bumblebee. I've been mentally preparing myself for her reaction. I know she'll be upset, scared, and frightened, but I won't back down. I'll fight her and show her that I'm still the same man she fell in love with. I'll show her that my love for her is real. I returned to the kitchen and found Bumblebee and her sister enjoying some leftover cake.
"Darling, I'll return momentarily, I have to run to a quick meeting," I said
"Alright, baby, Be back soon. I'm making dinner," she said
"I look forward to your cooking and later dessert in the bed," I said, winking
"Luci...not in front of my sister," she said
*laughs*
"I'll behave, love," I said
"You two have fun; I'll return soon," I said

After Lucifer left, Gigi and I cooked together. It was nice to have a sibling to spend time with. Stella and Whitney are my sisters, too, but having an actual biological sibling to spend time with and get to know my little sister was lovely.
"You two are adorable together," she said
"Thanks, Gigi. Is there anyone special in your life?" I asked
"I'm seeing this guy at my school; his name is Simon," she said
"What's he like? Is he cute? Is he nice?" I asked
"He's delightful. A gentleman. He's your stereotypical high school nerd.
"Really? I guess that makes you the popular girl?" I asked
"Well, yes, I'm one of the popular kids, but I've always preferred brains over brawn. I don't judge someone based on their appearance. It's what's on the inside that counts," she said
"That's very wise and sweet of you. You must be pleased with him," I said
"I am, very much so, but I'm afraid to break this news to him once he finds out I've been betrothed to someone else," she said
I hugged her as she started crying. I still can't believe our parents would do this. Borrow from the mafia only to have her marry this bastard's son as interest.
"Don't worry, Gigi, we'll find a way to get you out of this. It will be alright," I said
"I hope so; I don't want to marry into the mafia," she cried
It broke me to hear her say this. I hope something good turns out in the end.
Meanwhile, at Sergei's Penthouse

When Dad brought me to the Winstons to meet my future wife, I admit I was attracted to her. She's pretty, innocent, and kind but looks shocked and terrified. She didn't know about the arrangement and knew we were both being forced into this by my father. I have no desire to marry one day or be a leader, but sadly, I have no choice. Being the heir to the Five Families, your life is already planned. I'm not the marriage/relationship kind of guy. My dad isn't even faithful to my mother, but I make sure he doesn't harm her.
Being the Godfather of the family also means having a wife and heirs. In this world, the wives are respected. If she were to be my wife, she would have my complete protection and be respected. My mom raised me to treat women right, and I shall. I guess I can try to get to know my future wife.
"Well, son, what did you think of your future wife?" asked Sergei
"She's beautiful and has quite a temper," I said

Suddenly, one of Dad's henchmen came running inside. He's out of breath.
"What is it, Tony?" asked Sergei.
"Boss, You have a visitor," he said
"Whom?" he asked
"Hello...Sergei," said Lucifer.
We both turned around and were greeted by the city's most feared, powerful, ruthless man. The man whom all the mafias, the people, even my father feared. The King of New York, scratch that, The Devil of New York himself: Lucifer Morningstar
