Childe repeated, holding your hand
You could only share a sullen look, " when are you going to go?" You stared downwards, avoiding the topic as you felt his gaze
" after we wrap up the filming" Childe softly replied
You felt overwhelmed and finally stared back into the man's eyes
" is there anything that can prevent you from going?" You had to ask, feeling selfish
" not really...I have my whole set up there" Childe tried to explain to you, hiding some bits of the story to you. He felt that now wasn't the right time
" you know long distance relationships don't last" you frown at the thought
" what if they do?" Childe thought of the possibilities , trying to hold your hand which you moved away
You shook your head in response, having no defence to the man. In response, Childe could only hold his breath. Suddenly the air around felt tense and suffocating to bear
" what don't you like here?" You almost snap back to a shocked Childe
" is it the food? I mean I can try cook your home dishes? Or is it the towns? Are they not like the one there? If it's your family I can invite them here" you listed out the options, ranting endlessly
Childe only frowned at your actions
" I'm sorry this sounds selfish" you push your hair out of your face, feeling frustrated .
It didn't go unnoticed as you felt strong arms wrap around you almost as if they were silencing you
" I won't be going now. So don't worry, I will try to visit often" Childe murmured to your ears
You push back Childe, " it's not enough! I'm sorry it just...isn't." You apologise feeling a tense emotion inside you
Childe's heart broke when he realised he did this to you. All he could think of was to embrace you in hopes you would calm down
You looked up, feeling various emotions as Childe leaned in to kiss your lips. It was like medicine to you. It cured your worries and soothed your senses
Childe slowly moved his arms back on you as he deepened the kiss. It would be only mere seconds before you parted from it
" come with me there" Childe try his last chances of convincing you
Your lips quivered. " I'll think about it" you could only respond as Childe hugged you for another second
N E X T D A Y
Your eyes were drowsy as you stirred awake. You felt uncomfortable in your own bed
Not to mention your head had a stinging sensation. You wondered what had happened yesterday as you sat up
Almost immediately you felt the cold breeze land on your body which made you shield yourself from the sheer cold
You realised the situation you were in and immediately looked to your side. Sure enough you saw Childe who rested soundly next to you
He had clung to you like a koala and a-mist the struggle of escaping his grip, you heard a deep grumble from the man which made him tighten his grip around you
Now you felt like prey. You had to escape somehow. You placed his arms off you and slid off the bed
With the harsh air holding you back, you take a leap of faith but not all leaps make it to the end and you felt arms snake around you
" what are you doing?" Childe groaned, yanking you back into the comfort of the sheets
" Childe! I have a...sponsor and I have to take a photoshoot soon" you make up an excuse
Childe opens one eye, staring at the calendar on your wall, " yeah right, stop lying" Childe catches you red handed, snuggling his head on your back
" Childe what happened last night" you decided to approach the man by avoiding the topic entirely
" what do you think? We had a few drinks...and you seemed very upset so I stayed the night" Childe recounted to you
Ah. It made sense to you now. " why wouldn't I be upset? You're leaving me and...I'm not sure if living in a new country is the life I want..I know I can adjust but why now? I feel like my life has only begun" you tried your best to explain
Childe shuffled on your back. You couldn't tell if he was ignoring you
" you are right, I won't hold that against you but...it's going to be a tough journey for us both if we wish to continue this relationship" Childe parted from his hug, making you turn around to face him

Your breath hinged. The fog escaped your lips. It was very cold.
You watched as your co-stars act their part. You were up next and your costume for the scene was not made for the weather
" are you cold?" You heard Diluc ask you.
" no..I'm fine" you nod, trying to fake your words
" they made you wear thin clothes in this weather.." Diluc mumbled, taking off his jacket, " here" Diluc gave you his
You stared at Diluc's jacket and shake your head. " I can't take it" you remained still
Diluc sensed the awkwardness of the situation and pulled the jacket back, " if you insist...you know I started dating again" Diluc made conversation
Your eyes widened as your head perked to him, " really?" You almost shout out
" yes...I think it's time..although the paparazzi's won't leave me alone" Diluc frowned, giving a mere smile
" gosh! I'm happy for you!" You playfully hit Diluc on the shoulder
" yes it's about time" Diluc smiled, watching you rant. He actually lied to you. He lied in hopes that you wouldn't feel the awkwardness around him because of your relationship with Childe
It was working. So much in fact, Childe glanced from the side lines with a glare

" it's not working anymore" you spoke to Childe with all the cameras on you
" ...I accept your decision...I know you won't forgive me but I still love you" Childe painfully told you, his body keeping a distance from you
You clutch your hands into fists with tears streaming down your face
" why." You murmur. Childe rose a brow
" Why? Why won't you even fight for forgiveness? Are you really that heartless?" You had to say, voice rising
" what does anything I say matter? I mean you won't forgive me neither way" Childe coldly told
Your heart pretended to shatter as you were loss for words
" believe me..I want to beg on my knees right now. I want to shout that I love you..but would you forgive me?" Childe walked closer to you
You paused. Would your character really do that?You kept your silence, having nothing more to say
" Stop!" Yae Miko ordered, the cameras turning off at that order , " that was good. For now we will continue that scene tomorrow. It's freezing" Yae Miko let out a cold hiss
" how's the temperature tomorrow?" Yae Miko looked at her assistant's board of schedules in the distance
You observe failing to notice the jacket over your shoulders
" what's this?" You turn back to a smiling Childe, " you looked cold" Childe cooed you
" but you will catch a cold" you point out the most obvious point
" don't worry I'm use to the cold" Childe dismissed, not wanting to mention his homeland to you
You could only nod, your body giving in to the radiance of the jacket
Childe merely smiled, his eyes wandering to the figure that snapped pictures of you and him, " lets go somewhere more quiet for now" Childe kept a face, indicating goodbyes to Yae Miko as he walked you off the spotlight
You followed him without any further words. Resting on the bench that you found somewhere in the park near the whole movie set up
There was only dimmed lights that acted as a guidance to seeing. It was peaceful because it was just the two of you.
" here, have this" Childe gave you a water bottle
" you are too kind....Ajax" you use his real name. This gesture always made Childe's heart flutter
Childe kept his face, before his phone vibrated in his pocket, " excuse me" Childe wasted no time in taking the call
you nod and watch as he does. As he quietly chats, his eyebrows furrow and his lips are imprinted with a frown
Something was wrong and you knew it. Either way you couldn't intervene before Childe ended the call
" sorry about that" Childe ended the call, his voice sounding stressed
" what's wrong? you haven't been yourself lately" you lean down to Childe's slouched position
Childe looked around. He felt this would be the only moment where you two would get some peace and quiet. it was now or never.
" i... i haven't been honest with you" Childe admitted. That piece of information was something you didn't want to hear from his lips but the least you could do was listen
" what happened?" you placed a hand on Childe's
" you know how i'm leaving...and i said there's nothing for me here" Childe mentions the first half of the story
" yeah..." you couldn't hide your sadness upon the mention of the departure
" the other reason why I have to leave is because...its my father, lately his been...terribly sick"
oh. it all made sense now.
