The crowd cheered as Nick's concert started and music began to play as Nick began to sing.

Nick then smiled as his best friend, Mia walked onto the stage. The crowd cheered and chanted both of their names with squeals, they always found the two of them so adorable and cute together and they really enjoyed the chemistry between them as well. Mia smiled and then began to sing her verse.

Once Nick and Mia were done they hugged each other and Nick kissed Mia on the cheek which made the fans go wild all over again because of how cute they were. Mia smiled again and blew a kiss to the audience before leaving the stage.

"Nicky that was amazing!" Mia gushed with a big smile plastered on her face as the two of them sat a table in a quiet restaurant where the lights were dim - after Nick's show was over.
"We were amazing, you were amazing". Nick said dreamily as he smiled at her.
Mia just giggled and shook her head at Nick's adorableness, Nick's heart pounded hard against his rib cage at hearing her beautiful laugh after months of not seeing each other it was really refreshing to hear.
"So, uh, thanks for coming out to appear in my show. It was really cool of you to do that". Nick said.
"It was no problem, really. I mean, what are friends for?" Mia replied.
"Yeah" Nick said.
There was a comfortable moment of silence for a while before Nick cleared his throat breaking it. "Um, how's Zac doin'?" Nick asked.
Mia shrugged, "Um, good, good. I talked to him yesterday so he's good".
Zac Efron was Mia's current boyfriend. They have been dating on and off for six years now and Mia was starting to get exhausted by it all.
"That's good." Nick said. "You look good. Happy even".
"Aw, thank you. I am happy". Mia said smiling.
Nick smiled as he took Mia's hand from across the table and held onto it in a bold move that neither of them were expecting. Mia looked at her and Nick's hands for a moment and then linked their fingers together.
"What about you? How's Olivia?" Mia asked him.
Nick shrugged his shoulders, "Don't know".
Mia nodded her head and watched as Nick kissed her hand and then held it in his again. "I miss you". Nick said, looking up in Mia's eyes. "I can't keep lying to myself, Mia".
"About what?" Mia asked, genuinely confused.
"Mia, it's you. Almost all of my songs that I have written in the past have some form of you in them or at least the thought of you in them. You're my best friend, Millie, and I don't want to lose you because of this but I can't keep lying to myself and pretending anymore. I like you, Mia, as more than just my best friend. Everyone was right, I have always liked you more than a friend our entire lives. I don't even think I like you at this point, I love you, Mia. I love you so much". Nick said, pouring his heart out to the girl that he loved.
Mia took a moment to process Nick's words before grabbing her drink and downing it in one go. She knew that she needed something stronger to get through this whole thing. Mia set down her glass and then looked at Nick's glass of whiskey and grabbed it before downing it as well. Nick just looked at her in shock, he didn't imagine this would be her reaction when he expressed how he was feeling towards her.
Mia set down Nick's glass and then took her hand away from Nick's and grabbed her purse. She then took some money out of it and threw it down on the table before getting up from her seat. "I have to go. I have... I just have to go". Mia said as she rushed towards the door and out of it, leaving a confused and heartbroken Nick behind.
