Grace walked out of her bedroom with Bella. Bella had crashed the night in graces room . She heard knocking at the bathroom door as she saw George who stood with Meredith and Alex as they tried to get izzie to open the door
Izzie had locked herself in the bathroom since the prom and hadn't come out "what's going on?" Grace asked as Meredith looked to her and raised an eyebrow at her. She knew that something had happened with grace at the prom
Grace rolled her eyes. She didn't care much for izzie as harsh as of sounded. Izzie annoyed her but grace knew how a lot had happened in the past twenty four hours and Denny's death and izzie were the least of her problems
"Okay, she's been in there all night. We have to do something" George said
"Yeah" alex said
"Yeah" Meredith said
"Yeah" Cristina said as bella looked to grace as well as everyone else
"Why are you all looking at me?" Grace asked
"Why do you think" Meredith said
"Well this is familiar territory to you" Cristina said
"There is nothing familiar about this. Unfamiliar. Denny died. The man she loves died" grace said
"Yeah, but you're all dark and twisty inside" george said
"Dark and twisty?" Grace asked
"The mother with the Altzheimers thing, and the father that you don't talk to" Cristina said
"The sounds like Meredith to, to be fair" grace said
"You really want to go there" Meredith asked
"The tequila thing, and the inappropriate men thing..." alex said
"Also known as my brother thing" Bella said
"Your the to talk, I mean mark Sloan for one" grace said to bella who rolled her eyes
"You are dark and twisty inside grace, and now Izzie is dark and twisty inside" george said
"So now all the sudden I'm the president of people with crappy lives?" Grace asked
"Seriously we have to do something. Someone has to go in there" george said
"Don't look at me" grace said
"It's not graces fault that izzie has lost it" Bella said as grace looked to her and nodded
"Thank you Bella besides I have more own things going on" grace said as she and Bella held a look

Grace and Bella walked into the kitchen as they looked to see Meredith and Cristina
"Why are we making sandwiches again?" Grace asked
"It's what you do when someone dies. You cook" Meredith said
"Is it" Bella asked
"Yeah. I know what to do when someone dies. I am a jew. I know food and death. It's Shivah" Cristina said
"Is it Shivah even if she's Catholic?" Meredith asked
"Well Shivah's what I know how to do. So yeah. It's Shivah. And if we're sitting Shivah for Denny, then we should order in cause making sandwiches is not the same as cooking" Cristina said
"It's weird" grace said
"Sandwiches are comfort food" Meredith said
"What's wrong with you?" Cristina asked as she looked to grace
"Everything with me is fine. It's Izzie we're worried about" grace said as Bella looked to her
"What did you do?" Meredith asked her sister
"Denny died. Burke got shot. Let's just have some perspective and remember that what is a tiny slightly small..." grace said
"Whatever spit it out" Cristina said
"I lost my panties last night" grace said as bella looked to her and frowned
"Oh please tell me my brother isn't involved in this and that was what I walked in on" Bella asked as they held a look as grace didn't say a word as the three of them looked to her
"Oh what did you do" Meredith asked as she looked to her younger sister

Grace got to the hospital and sighed. She knew that she had worked but she knew how her head was a mess over derek and all that was going on with them. She knew how they had sex but she didn't know what it meant From there but she knows it meant something
"Are you okay" Bella asked as grace looked fi her and sighed
"No. I'm not. I don't even know what is going on with me and derek. All I know is that it's hard and I still love him" grace said as Bella wrapped an arm around her and pulled her into a hug and smiled
"It will be okay" Bella said as she looked to her best friend and smiled
They stood in the pit. Alex walked over to bella and looked to her
"So are we going to talk over last night?" Alex asked as Bella looked to him and rolled her eyes
"It was a night of sex Alex. I know you have a thing for izzie and I am still hung up in make the man who shattered my heart it was fun let's leave it at that" belle said as she looked as a paramedic walked in with a baby
Grace looked to them shocked. She was shocked to learn that Alex and Bella had slept together
Bella and Alex held a look before they rushed over to the baby "What's going on?" Alex asked
"Premature newborn found in a trashcan at Turner prep school. The Umbilical cord's still attached." The paramedic said
"You didn't start an IV. He's dehydrated" Bella said
"Couldn't find a vein"
"I need to get IV access. Get me an I.O. needle and I need a neonatal intubation kit. Olivia go MOVE" alex said
"They pulled me from the floor. I'm just down here helping with the flu overflow. Alex how old is that baby?" Olivia said as bella looked to Alex who grabs the baby and starts at a run for anywhere that's not covered in flu germs
"Bella come on"
"Wait, wait what are you doing?" Olivia asked
"If you think I'm going to leave this sick premature infant in the OR..." alex said
"He has to be admitted. You can't just take him..." Olivia said
"Just page Addison Shepherd. Tell her to meet us in the NICU" Alex said as grace looked to bella
"So you and Alex? He really is making his way through us interns only Meredith and Cristina left" grace said as Bella rolled her eyes as she looked to grace and smiled
"Your not funny. You know that" Bella said as grace looked to her and smiled

Grace got home and walked into the kitchen. She was glad she was only in half a day. She sat at the kitchen table and ran her hands through her hair as Meredith walked into the room
"Hey you okay. I didn't think you'd be back yet" she said as grace smiled
"Half a day" grace said as Meredith nodded. She sat down at the kitchen table with her sister and watched her
"What"
"You know what grace Nicole grey. Derek shepherd again" Meredith said as grace groaned
"I know I was an idiot" grace said as Meredith sighed
"No your a fool....You had sex with Derek in an exam room at the prom?" Meredith asked
"Yes."
"Last night, you and Shepherd did it?"
"Yes"
"You and McDreamy did the nasty-nasty?" Meredith asked
"Meredith"
"I'm not judging. I'm just trying to wrap my mind around it. I mean you're my sister and have had a hard time. He's with Addison." Meredith said
"He's married to Addison." Grace said
"Yeah. Well what did Derek say?" Meredith asked as grace sighed
"He said "grace, what does this mean?" Grace said as Meredith looked to her and raised an eyebrow
"Ok, he has sex with you and he's standing there all McGuilty and all he can say for himself is "what does this mean?" What does this mean?" Meredith asked
"I don't know"
"Is Shepherd leaving his wife?"
" I just..." grace started to say as she started to think back. To think back to her to when she was little
One dear old grace grey sat in her pushchair. Meredith was sitting on the carousel yelling for ellis
"Richard you were to tell Adele..." ellis yelled. She was crying. Grace was in her pushchair crying
"I can't..."
"I was to tell Thatcher. That is what we said"
They continue to argue, and Ellis pleads Richard not to leave her, but he does. He's gone back to Adele. Ellis stood there crying. Meredith was shouting on the carousel as grace was screaming
"Hey where did your mind go" Meredith asked as grace looked to her and sighed
"To mom...how much I may actually be like her. Affairs...married man" grace said as Meredith looked to her and smiled
"Trust me you are in no way like our mother" Meredith said as grace looked to her and smiled

Grace answered the door and smiled as she saw Callie
"I brought food."
"George isn't here" grace said
"I know. He's in a quarantine cause of the thing. With your mcdreamy And I was worried about him and off duty and going crazy and then I though about Izzie, so I brought food." Callie said
"For the Shivah?" Grace asked
"Are you going to let me in."
"Yeah. What quarantine"
"There's a patient he operated on with George possible plague" Callie said as grace frowned
"Oh"
" Is it Shivah if Izzie's Catholic?" Callie asked as grace shrugged

Bella found derek as he sat on the stairway "Bella?"
"Don't bella me. Derek Christopher shepherd. What the hell were you thinking with you and grace? Again after everything" She asked as he looked to her
"I love her bella. I thought I loved Addie and I did but I love grace besides what about you and Alex. I know why you slept with him. Your my sister. My favourite sister and I know you" he said as bella said next to him and smiled
She rested her head on his shoulder as derek pulled her into a hug as a tear rolled down her cheek "why did we get hurt the most in this? He broke my heart and it's taking all I can not to go back to him. I can't help think over the baby" Bella said as Derek hugged her and smiled
"That wasn't your fault. You had to do what you had to" derek said
"I aborted his baby and I don't even think it's going to be okay" Bella said
"I know but the thing is with me. It's grace I mean it's always grace. My Gracie. I loved her and I'll do anything it me with her. I want this, I want to make it work bella. I know that I have messed up but now I want to make it right as I think that she's the best thing, the best person ever" derek said as bella smiled
She knew that she wanted nothing more for her brother and best friend to be happy if it's what they both wanted

Grace stood in the kitchen and looked to see Bella as she walked in and smiled "hey you got no one to cut open"
"Not today no. I wanted to see if you were okay" Bella said as grace looked to her and smiled
"I'm okay. I don't know what you must think of me sleeping with him. But it's derek. It's always been derek, Bella." Grace said as Bella smiled
"Your my best friend and all that has happened with me and mark. I could never think bad of you" Bella said as grace looked to her and smiled
Grace thought back to the night in the bar when she first met derek
"Straight Tequila? Really? You are going to be sorry in the morning." Joe said as grace smiled
"I'm always sorry in the morning. But tomorrow I start my first day at work, so keep them coming." Grace said
"How you doing? Double scotch, single malt please" derek said as he walked over and looked to grace
"So is this a good place to hang out?" He asked as he sat besides her
" I wouldn't know, I've never been here before."
"Oh well you know what, I haven't either. First time in town. I'm new in town. First time in Seattle. I got a job so... Ah you're ignoring me." Derek said as grace smiled
"I'm trying to."
"You shouldn't ignore me."
"Why not?" Grace asked
"Because I'm someone you need to get to know to love."
"So if I know you, I'll love you?"
"Oh yes." Derek said
"You really like yourself, huh?"
Just hiding my pain. So what's your story?"
"I don't have a story. I'm just a girl in a bar." Grace said
"I'm just a guy in a bar." Derek said

Grace walked into the kitchen and frowned as she saw Meredith with Finn. She stood awkwardly before Finn walked out. She looked as he walked out and looked to her sister
"Is everything okay" she asked as Meredith sighed
"Your not the only one who doesn't know what she wants. Something happened with me and James at the prom and now I have to decide what I want to do" Meredith said as grace looked to her sister and smiled
"Follow your heart. As clique as it sounds" grace said as Meredith smiled

Grace stood in the kitchen and stood tidying up as she looked to see derek and smiled
"Hi" he said as he stood watching her
" hi." Grace said
"I was going to come over this morning but uh-" derek said as she nodded
"I heard, the quarantine. I was worried" she said
"Yeah." He said as he smiled at her
"So what does this mean?" Grace asked. She knew how she was confused by it all
": It means you have a choice. You have a choice to make over us I don't want to rush you into making a decision before you're ready. This morning I was going to come over, and I was going to say- what I wanted to say was...now all I can say is that I'm in love with you. I've been in love with you for...ever. I'm a little late. I know I'm a little late telling you that. But I just want you to take your time...you know. Take all the time you need...cause you have a choice to make. And when I had a choice to make, I chose wrong. All right. Good night." Derek said
Grace looked to him and frowned. She knew that she still loved him too. But what choice was grace going to make when it came to her relationship with derek?
