It had been a day after I quit being my mum's photographer and when nearly the whole grid was on my bed cheering me up. Never in my life did I think that would happen.
Samantha even stayed. Sam nonstop talked about him after all the drivers left. Let's just say Lando was a little upset she stayed.
Charles texted me after Sam had left which was around midnight.

So today at 8:30 pm he would be picking me up. For a friendly dinner...
It was currently 11 am and I still had a whole day. I'm not going to lie I was stressed. The thought of it being a date would still be at the back of my mind. A date... I mean a friendly dinner with my best friend's teammate.
I grabbed a book and sat down still in my pyjamas with a hoodie on top. I had a whole day without anything planned.
I was so into it that I didn't realise how fast time went. The next thing I knew it was 1 pm and I had finished the book. I grabbed the next one that was in line. 'Icebreaker by Hanna Grace'.
My soft spot are murder mysteries but young adult fiction also creeps in. I immediately open the book. Not realising I forgot lunch and breakfast. It was normal for me anyway to forget to have full meals.
I stop at Chapter 10 to prepare myself for the day itself. I go into my room and open my closet. 3 dresses catch my eye.
A black mini dress, a black satin long dress with a slit or a long champagne-coloured satin dress also with a slit. I take those out of my closet and decide to wash my hair instead.
While washing my hair I also put on a clay mask as well.
I wash everything off and wrap my hair in a towel. I put on some light makeup and lightly curl my hair. I walk back to the dresses. I stare at them for a good 10 minutes still not knowing what to do.

I roll my eyes at Sam's comment. If Lando knew what she just said... She'd be done.
I put on the dress trying not to smudge my makeup or ruin my hair. I sat back down on my couch and called my grandma.
I hadn't talked to her for a while. My grandma from my dad's side lives in Portugal even if she's Spanish. She just found Portugal nicer which I completely agree with. It has small little communities and you always know people around.
She had undergone knee surgery after breaking it from falling down a ladder in the kitchen. She didn't even call anyone she just waited for my aunt to come home.
The annoying thing is that she has forgotten most of her Spanish and her vocabulary is mostly Portuguese which I don't really know every well.
After the one hour and a half call, Charles was going to show up in half an hour. I check on my makeup and my hair.
My first date after a toxic relationship. This is going to be interesting. Very interesting.
I get a cup of water just like Juliet said to do and sit down once again and open my book.
I was halfway through the uber scene when my doorbell rings. I drink some water and answer the door.
"Hello?"
"Hello mon chérie"
"Come up"
I place my book down, open the door and walk into my room to prepare a bag.
"I'm here"
"Hi I'm in my room. Make yourself comfortable"
I put everything I need in my purse and grab my shoes and walk out while hoping he was wearing a black suit.
He was sitting down with my book in his hands and a cheeky grin on his face.
"Stel..."
"Whattt Charlie?" I say realising he is wearing a black suit
"One. You look so beautiful. Two WHAT TYPE OF BOOKS ARE YOU READING?!?!"
"One thanks, you do too and two none of your business"
"Come on we're going to be late"
"You said 8:30 and it's 8:37"
"Yeah I thought you would be ready at 8:30"
"Well let me put on my shoes"
"You know I'm kidding right? We have plenty of time"
"Okay good because I can't put my shoes on in under 2 minutes"
