daylight by taylor swift and daylight by david kushner are two songs that have both trended on tiktok this year
daylight (T.S) came out in 2019 on the Lover album and has been trending as of late, with the message of learning how to trust again and being hopeful for the future in order to heal. that healing is stepping out of the darkness and forgiving yourself
daylight (D.K) was released this april and quickly become a favorite amongst social media, being the perfect song to portray betrayal, addiction, and loss of a relationship. use mostly in edits for the fantasy and supernatural genres.
these two songs are beautifully tragic as you kushner can be used to describe the before and swift the after. however in this case it's the opposite.
as both merlin and marionette are both swifts daylight in the beginning of the story despite the initial refusal to be the "chosen one", as later in the years their journey starts to haunt them more and more as they have to hide from their peers and even themselves, kunshers daylight becomes the anthem of their loves
hence why i chose merlin and miraculous
