as soon as he dashed off the stage, he was surrounded by people complimenting him on his performance. ofcourse, jisung didn't ignore them, bowing to everyone as he thanked them absent-mindedly since he was focused on finding seorin.
"YO DUDE THAT WAS SWEET AS FUCK" mark beamed, throwing an arm around jisung's shoulder, startling him
"thanks, hyung. have you seen-"
"jisung!!" heejin approached him next with haechan and chenle following, "you were amazing!"

"you didn't shit yourself, did you?" - donghyuck

"uh, have you guys-" jisung tried to ask about seorin's whereabouts before getting cut-off again

the four continued their conversation of chenle's ass when jisung heard his name being called by the person he was looking for.
he turned around so fast, he almost got whiplash from it but he didn't have time ro react to it because the girl threw her arms around him in a hug. instinctively, he hugged her back.

"i love you so much," her voice was muffled as her face was squished against his torso, "that performance was everything, jisung. man you have no idea what i feel like right now dude I'm so overwhelmed"
jisung reached out to grab her chin to look at her ruined mascara, "is that why you were crying? because you got overwhelmed?"
she didn't trust her voice anymore, feeling like she would burst out crying. so she only nodded her head
"man, I'm sorry I made you cry-"
"no! shut up, I'm just emotional because I'm touched and I'm feel so.. I don't know, jisung I don't have the right words in my mind right now but-" she broke down into tears again
"breathe, hon"
she didn't breathe, instead she pulled him down into a kiss.
"so, fuck us single people, right?" chenle said, observing the pair with the rest
"they're so cute, though" heejin cooed
"she's been so awestruck after his performance, i love them together," meihui sighed and rested her head on heejin's shoulder as she linked arms with her
"yo i swear to god if something goes wrong between them I'll kill myself" said mark, "they're both eachother's right person right times, you can't tell me otherwise"
haechan slapped jeno's shoulder who seemed to be staring into space, snapping him out of his thoughts
"jeno lee, what are you thinking about?"
"nothing- have you guys seen yasuko and renjun? are they done with everything?" jeno diverted the topic, making haechan even more skeptical of everything but the younger respected his friends unspoken wish and answered his question
"we saw them earlier, they said they only had a few things for a few stages left then another group was gonna take over everything. i think its the same for jaemin and hyemin"
"let's go get coffee with them all after, then!" seorin suggested, gaining attention of her friends again
"are you done eating your boyfriend's face?"

"okay but can we go home and get changed first?" the chinese boy suggested, "i want to take off this makeup as soon as possible"
"wow so you don't like the makeup i did for you"

"oh my god, be quiet chenle" yasuko popped up out of nowhere and put a hand on chenle's mouth
"hi guys," renjun approached the friends with a yawn, "we'll be done in like half an hour or hopefully earlier then the next group will take over. the performances are probably going to last until tonight, so they made like 5 groups-"
"we know, renjun"
"okay donghyuck what the fuck suck my dick bitch- wait NO DON'T GET ON YOUR KNEES"

"i am so fucking tired," hyemin groaned, leaning back into her seat and jaemin agreed
"thank god we had groups, though. inagine doing that for an entire day"
the two photography majors shuddered at the thought, making the rest of their friends laugh.
the group decided to wait until everyone else was also done for the day to go get coffee together at the cafè they went to on the day they first visited seorin's house.
however the wait lasted two hours since their photographer friends had tons of work to finish.
jaemin and hyemin were close to falling asleep, ordering extra strong coffee just so they could stay awake. the others were also tired, but they got some rest while waiting for 2min earlier in the day.
everyone fell into conversation while mark and jeno went to grab their drinks. seorin's attention was drawn towards the window when she felt a thud against it, looking outside only to see some kids making faces at her. she laughed at them, making the rest look her way too
"oh my fucking god, i hate kids," yasuko groaned and flipped off the kid that kept doing fortnite dances at the window
"who let's these middle schoolers out at like 5 pm? isn't it too late for them to be walking around outside like this?" meihui asked, watching them walk away after a while
"i mean it is pretty normal for kids to walk home together like this in groups? maybe they're doing that?"
"okay but why were they making faces and doing fortnite dances-??"
"because they can, meihui"
"fuck you, chenle"
"to be honest," haechan said, getting the attention of all his friends at once, "i want to go back to middle school. it sucked, yeah but i think i could've been better"
"i think as long as you think you're the best version of yourself right now, you don't need to go back and fix anything. i know i wouldn't change a thing in my past. it all led me here, and I'm the happiest I can remember myself being," heejin said, rubbing the gemini's shoulder as he looked a little disappointed talking about how he could've been 'better' years ago
"you don't even wanna go back in time to stop the yejin thing from happening?" jisung was bewildered
the older nodded, "especially not that. it was the worst while it was happening, yeah but it gave me the confidence i needed to speak up for myself and for the people i care about"
"can we change the subject? i think I'm going to cry again," seorin requested
"crybaby"
"heejin, meihui just called me a crybaby"
"mei don't call her a crybaby"
"but she is one-"
"can we have one normal day outside, for the love of god" yasuko groaned and massaged her temples
"hate to break it to you but I'm not religious" renjun carefully said
"well then, for the love of seorin's older brother"
"i still can't believe seorin's older brother is a sex god-"
"OH MY GOD PLEASE DON'T SAY THAT ABOUT MY BROTHER"
"guys shut up, jaemin and hyemin are asleep" jeno said, sitting back down on the table once he returned with everyone's drinks

mark? he was not at the table. he was apologizing to all the workers for the noise. they were all pretty chill about it since there weren't any other customers in the cafè at that time.
he looked over at the table of young adults who were engrossed in a dumb argument while two of them slept soundly with a fond smile.
no matter how annoying and loud they got, they were his kids after all.
