niyeli verone was born in argentina about 10 to 12 years after her older brother, carter verone, was born. she was the youngest child and the baby in the family. she was always known as the little princess by her father and her brother. her family was powerful and wealthy back home in buenos aires. she was only aware of the family business when she got older and old enough to understand the business. when she was a teenager, her parents died in what was presumed a car accident, which was most likely caused by their enemies, but nothing was confirmed nor investigated. she continues to grow up with carter as they both got older, and because they were the only family they had left. they only had each other to count on. through inheritance, she moved to reside in miami with her brother and because he wanted to continue his business ─ his drug operations. as much as she loves her brother, she can never be involved in his business ever again. she decided to move out on her own despite that he disliked having her leave him and their home in miami. niyeli decides to make a new life for herself and not have other people know who her brother is. so, she started working at a car shop where she meets suki and her all-female crew. she gets into the love of designing vinyl graphics for cars and even having her own custom car afterwards. through suki, that's how she met other friends, one that included brian o'conner, yet unaware that he was a cop then and soon to find out that he is when he's working with the US customs to take down her brother. she was rather more upset and betrayed that he held that secret for longer when she was still around with johnny tran back then.
