Zach and Carmen weren't the only islanders to cause tension in the villa that evening. Leah and Sammy had yet to see eye to eye on the recoupling speech and Whitney and Mehdi hadn't ended their heated discussion on the best terms.
For the rest of the night, Carmen remained by Tyrique's side, Jess joining them for a cuddle at one point before it was time to head to bed.
"Night everyone." Tyrique called out as the lights went off. He pecked Carmen's lips twice before wrapping his arms around her.
"Night."

The following morning, Carmen joined Jess and Whitney on the terrace, a bowl of porridge in her hands.
"How you feeling this morning, Jess?"
"Do you know what? For me, yeah, I feel like if he can do that to her, then is he gonna test every girl that comes in? That's what I want to get to the bottom of." Jess replied
"Oh, so your thinking like, the bigger picture?" Whitney commented. "It's not just about the Leah thing."
"Yeah. I'm gonna speak to Mitch today. Keep him on his toes a bit." Jess spoke.
"What about you?" Whitney said, turning to face Carmen. "How was your chat with Zach last night?"
"Shit." Carmen replied. "We just keep going round in circles. He's mad cos I kissed Ty in the challenge. And the obviously I'm annoyed cos of the lack of communication on his part- and Mollys. And then obviously the comment in the recoupling yesterday."
"Yeah that wasn't needed." Whitney replied.
"What about you, Whit? Gonna speak to Mehdi today?" Carmen asked.
"Yeah. We're just from two completely different worlds, you know."
Carmen was sat on the day beds with Scott and Catherine when someone's phone sounded.
"I got a text!" Molly spoke. "Ahoy Islanders, it's time to see if you and your partner can keep your heads above water in todays challenge situationships. #Shiphappens #Dontrocktheboat."
Carmen couldn't help but laugh as she leant her own back against Ty's, pushing him forwards. "Bro, stop."
"Welcome to situationships." Leah spoke as her and Mitch were hosting. "Girls, what is your partners worst habit."
"I said kissing his teeth." Carmen said, turning her board so everyone could see what she had wrote.
"Kissing my teeth." Ty nodded, showing his own board causing them both to smile as everyone cheered.
Carmen couldn't help but laugh when Mitch poured a bucket of water over Whitney and Mehdi as they hadn't matched their answers.
"Couples, between you both, who is the smartest?" Mitch read aloud.
"I put myself." Carmen said, turning her board.
"I put myself." Tyrique spoke causing Carmen to groan.
"Ty!" She complained before cold water was poured over them both.
"Boys, what is your partner's favourite sex position." Mitch spoke.
"I actually have no clue lads." Zach commented.
"Do you two even talk?" Mitch asked.
"They just sit in silence." Jess spoke with a laugh however Zach's answer did in fact match Molly's.
"Cowgirl." Tyrique spoke with a smile, already knowing Carmen's matched.
"Cowgirl." Carmen nodded which allowed them to move forwards.
"Which islander is the least trustworthy." Leah read.
"Sammy because he was bad at communicating with Jess." Molly spoke.
"That's out the blue, innit." Sammy replied.
"I went Ty, he just moves mad, then smiles and gets away with it." Scott said.
"Yeah, but look at his smile." Carmen laughed as she squished Tyrique's face causing him to smile and everyone to laugh.
"I put Molly." Carmen said, turning her board around.
"Molly." Tyrique read from his board causing Carmen to cheer.
"It's nice to know that Ty does actually listen to what I'm telling him, you know." she laughed.
"Islanders, which couple is playing the biggest game." Mitch spoke.
"I said Zach and Molly, purely cos I think if Carmen wasn't on Ty, Zach would still be with her." Sammy spoke, causing Carmen's eyes to widen.
"Zach and Molly." Tyrique said. "Like Sammy said, I think Zach's still not 100% over Carmen."
"Zach and Molly." Carmen spoke.
"Girls, could your partners head be turned by someone new." Mitch read.
"I said, yes. Just cos we're not closed off yet." Carmen answered.
"I said no. Cos I'm happy, don't matter if we're closed off." Tyrique spoke meaning Leah could pour water on them.
"I said yes only because of the last couple of days, I feel like if you've genuinely got a strong connection with someone, you don't need a test." Jess spoke.
"I said yes." Sammy spoke causing Carmen's eyes to widen as they met Jess'. "Cos, I don't feel like I'm ready to close myself off completely after a week and a half of knowing someone. It would take a lot to turn my head now, but I'm honest. Not everyone was being honest, certain people it's hard to believe that if someone was to come in they wouldn't be interested in getting to know them."
"Say names, say names. State their names, bro." Ty commented.
"Everyone."
"Alight cool. If that's your opinion." Tyrique shrugged.
"Islanders, which couple have the least sexual chemistry." Mitch asked.
"I said Mehdi and Whitney." Carmen said.
"Mehdi and Whitney." Tyrique matched.
Everyone cheered as the winners were announced, Sammy and Jess sharing a kiss before the islanders headed back to the villa.
"Obviously I've said that he's not my natural type and I'm not his natural type." Whitney started as her, Carmen, Catherine and Jess sat on the day beds. "I like physical touch, right? But I only act when that's given to me. And I think he's just a slow burner, we're both slow burners in a way and I dunno how it's gonna work."
"We've been saying that you and Mehdi will grow into this perfect match but-" Catherine said.
"He thinks he's perfect but he's not, he's hard work." Whitney spoke.
"Yeah, he makes it seem as though it's all on you when it's not." Carmen agreed.
"Exactly."
"How's things with you and Scott, Cat?" Carmen asked.
"Yeah it's going good." Catherine replied. "Do you know what it is, I feel like he just gets me."
"That's so nice, though." Jess replied.
