You and your friend, Mia, were currently making your way to the convenience store as it was currently lunch time, the both of you somehow stupid enough to forget your lunch on the same day.
"We really need to discuss who brings lunch on which days" Mia says, you smile at her comment as a small giggle escapes your mouth, you shook your head slightly before responding
"I thought we agreed that you'd bring it today? If I remember, you said, and I quote, "Y/N you're such an angel! As a thank you, allow me to bring lunch tomorrow!" you said that yesterday, during lunch too!" You say, Mia opens her mouth in attempt to stand up for herself but quickly shuts up as she realizes you were right
"Damn it, fine, you win!" Mia exclaims, you laugh at her reaction as you tangle your arm with hers, a smile forming on the ladders face.
"As a sorry for forgetting lunch today, I'll pay for you" Mia offers, you couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her, that was the exact thing she said yesterday and look at them now
"And I mean it this time! I have my money!" Mia retorts, she aggressively waves her money pouch as the sound of coins clashing were heard from inside the bag
"Alright then" You shrug, you then stop in front of a shop as you notice it was the convenience store, you quickly enter the shop, Mia being dragged behind as she entered through the doors after you.
"Just go and find your things, meet me at the cashier after finding everything" Mia says, you shake your head to notify the girl that you understood before going toward the snack area. You first start by looking around the area in attempt of finding your favorite bag of chips, luckily you found the exact brand.
As you reach your hands up to grab it, the sight of the delicious substance soon disappeared from your sight of view as a hand was now covering it. You followed the hand up to its owner to see a unfamiliar yet familiar boy holding onto it
"Uhm, excuse me, but I was grabbing that-"
"I already got it."
You open your mouth in shock, excuse me?
"What do you mean you already got it? It's still on the shelf as you can see" You respond, the boy looks down at your figure as he tilts his head, there was an obvious height difference between you and the boy so that didn't really help your confidence.
"I touched it so I got it" The boy responds, you furrow your eyes in anger
"How is that even logical?" You exclaim, the boy lets out an amusing scoff as he now stood face to face toward you, you keep a stern look on your face as you continued staring into the boy's eyes, not a single speck of fear tingling in your heart.
"It's logical because I bought it" the boy adds
you tilt your head as you leaned closer, you really didn't want to start an unneeded argument. You wait a few seconds longer as you press your lips together, you soon think of an idea, it was childish but oh well. You take in a deep breath before getting ready to do whatever you had planned. You shot you eyes back onto the boy as you stand up
"The person allowing me to take the bag say what"
"What"
You quickly snatch the bag of chips from the boy's hand as you dash away, you really hoped your accusation was right and the boy was indeed just standing still as he processed what was happening. You then try to look for Mia, thankfully, she was already at the cashier
"Finally! What took you so long-" Mia was quickly cut off as you grabbed her by the hand
"Not now!" You say, you smile sheepily as you turned toward the cashier
"Here, keep the change" You say, handing the person some money. You quickly glance back at the boy as you make eye contact one more time. You couldn't help but laugh at his expression
"H-Hey! Wait a second!-" the male says, finally coming back to his senses
But before the boy could stop you, you were already dragging Mia out the shop, the bag of chips right in your hands.
"Hey Y/N! Stop running for a second!! I'm gonna fall!" Mia yells, after running for a while longer, you turn around at the girl as you start coming to a stop, you breathed heavily as you watched Mia bend down slightly so she could breathe, her hands on her knees and her sweater falling off her shoulders
"What....the heck....was that" Mia says, breathing in between phrases. You laugh at her weak stamina as you watch her look up at you, Mia rolls her eyes before standing back up, her hand on her hips as she waits for an answer. You take in one more breath before answering the female
"It's a long story, but to shorten it up, Someone was about to take the last bag of my favorite chips and I basically tricked him into giving it to me" You explain, Mia's expression instantly turns sour as she closes her eyes
"Oh my gosh Y/N...you're so stupid!" Mia exclaims, she lifts a threatening hand up at you as you quickly put a arm up in protection, you couldn't help but laugh as you watch her face scrunch up in disappointment
"Hey! if you look on the bright side, I got my bag of chips and I paid for us today!" You say, Mia glares at your statement as you quickly shut your mouth, so good for trying to lighten the mood.
Just as you're about to open your mouth and try to start up another conversation, you were taken by surprise by the sight of a not so settling view of a specific male running toward you at full speed. You start backing up slowly as you recognize the boy
"Oh my gosh..." You say
"What...?" Mia comments, she follows your gaze behind her shoulder as she soon spots a familiar boy running towards the duo quite fast, Mia widens her eyes as she realizes what was happening
"You fought over a bag of chips with Nishimura Riki?!" Mia squirms, but before you could reply, you take off running, leaving the poor girl behind.
Mia widens her eyes at you as she shook her head, you were way too much to handle. Before Mia could comprehend the situation, she was startled by the sudden presence of Niki beside her. He turns his attention toward her as he catches his breath, he allows himself to breath for a few seconds before pointing at Mia
"You" Niki breaths out, he then averts his finger toward the direction you ran to
"You...you know her right? What's her name" Niki asks, well, more like demands. Mia furrows her eyebrows at his sudden demand, yes, Niki was a very popular boy at her school and could probably bring her reputation to ashes because of his high title in school society, but she wasn't just gonna tattle on her best friend.
"I believe I don't have to tell you that information" Mia says, Niki laughs at her remark as he stands up, he wipes his hands on his pants as he shrugs
"You aren't wrong, oh well, I guess I'll find out myself" Niki says, looking at the direction you ran once again before walking away

"Y/N I'm gonna kill you!"
Mia's voice was heard from outside your classroom as you froze from her fierce voice, you knew you were in trouble. Mia's face was soon seen from your classroom door, she makes her way towards you as she slammed her hand on your desk, she had an angry expression on her face, along with a look of questions as she glared at you
"Heyyy Mia..." You say, averting your eyes elsewhere
"Don't think you got off easy just because you escaped yesterday" Mia scolds, you press your lips together in hopes of hearing the school bell ring but sadly, luck was not on your side today
"Y/N you're so lucky you're my friend! did you know Niki asked for your name yesterday?! I had to try and dodge the fact that the Nishimura Riki was asking for your name, I thought of something to try and avoid telling him so you could avoid being discovered, but you know he's someone who can make your life the worst! But instead you fight him over a stupid bag of what? chips! and to put the salt over the wound, he's in our exact grade, is our exact age, and is at this exact school!-"
"So your name is Y/N"
Mia stops talking after hearing the low voice come from behind you, you freeze at the familiar voice as you see Mia's expression change from a fierce to a surprise look as you sigh, you messed up big time. You sigh deeply before using any working muscle to help yourself bring your head up, you slowly stand up as you look at Mia one last time, you turn around sharply as you were met with the sight of no other but Nishimura Riki standing in front of you with his hands in his pockets
"Well hello...uhm...you! It's nice meeting you for the very first time!" You sarcastically say, a forced smile creeping up your face, you stick out a hand as you attempt to shake Niki's hand, your eyes twitching at the sight of his un-amusing smirk
"Yes, for the very. first. time." Niki whispers, his hand wrapping around yours
Whispers were now surrounding the room, you couldn't help but feel helpless at the amount of pressure you felt, you ignore the feeling as Niki pulls you closer to him, you smile at a few girls around you as you try to shrug off the mean looks they gave, Niki pulling you in did not help at all.
"You owe me a bag of chips" Niki whispers, you scoff at his remark
"You wish" you scoff, you couldn't handle his cockiness at all, you quickly step on Niki's feet as he lets out a sharp yelp of pain, you smile in victory at his reaction before sitting back down on your desk chair.
"Alright alright, what's with all this commotion"
Everyone's attention was now turned toward the front of the classroom as the sight of the school's president was standing at the podium, his face was stern and he looked ready to pounce at anyone
"Niki, what are you doing, flirting again?" the president says, raising an eyebrow. Niki says nothing as he rolls his eyes at his statement
"Just having a friendly conversation with a friend, Jungwon-hyung" Niki answers, eyeing you from the side
"Well say good bye to the friend for now, we have some things to talk about."
