the new team comes in today
it's going to be different
but who am i kidding this whole year has been completely different.

we all walk into studio A with out team jackets on and this time our moms are behind us
"wow you look like a team today and in hindsight perhaps we shouldn't of competed this past weekend perhaps we should've taken a weekend off but in your minds know you went out did a beautiful performance for my mom Maryen Lorrain Miller" Abby says
"the winning streak as we know is over it was good while it lasted but if you keep winning you're not going to get better alright let's get to the pyramid"
Abby sighs "Chloe, you had a solo you were fifth overall from what i'm hearing i wasn't there you should've been second or third."
"next we have Nia, Nia you still have a long way to go"
"Kalani, you were beautiful in the group you're kinda just there"
"next we have Kendall, you hold your own in the group it's that solo we have trouble with"
"Eloise, you were stunning in that group routine."
"Camila, on the judge's critiques they kept praising you and who you stuck out the most."
i smile
"next we have Maddie, Maddie you went out there and did that solo like a rockstar but.."
"Mackenzie did it all this week she shot a video the director Andrew Logan said that kid is going to be a star"

"alrighty so i know you've been here since the beginning i know you paid tuition for years and years and years but times they are changing i've been telling you for months now that i'm going to form a new team you know i've gone wiring the country to look for new team members you've seen what people would do say sacrifice to be apart of the Abby Lee Dance Company but after seeing all the talent from Orlando, Atlanta and New York City i came up with a team thats just like all of you" Abby says
"there will be one new team member to go up against each of you to challenge you this doesn't have to be negative unless you make it negative girls you have to understand there's always somebody else everyone is replaceable i think it's time to bring the new team in..take a deep breath"
we all take in a deep breath
"because your life is about to change and so is theirs, the moment is here girls let's go come on in!"
the new team walks in with their moms and i recognise a few of them from auditions and i know two of them
"welcome to The Abby Lee Dance Company girls i know it's intimidating to walk into this room well they don't look very intimidated do they?"
"i don't think there's any competition there you brought our trash for Arizona" Kira says
"how many titles has Sarah won? none, none none!"
"Abby said she wanted a whole team of Maddies not Kalanis a team of Maddies here we go" Jade's mom says
"that is not a Maddie she hasn't won in Arizona how is she going to win here?" Kira says
"Sarah come over here" Abby says
Sarah walks over infront of Abby
"Kira i'm sure you thought i brought this young lady all the way from your hometown to compete against your kid"
"Kalani beats her all the time she's not challenge for Kalani." Kira says
"but is she a challenge for Nia come on out here Nia." Abby says
Nia walks forward beside Sarah
so she brought these girls in to compete against one of us elite girls..
"check eachother out girls"
Nia and Sarah look at eachother and they step back
"Ava step forward."
Ava steps infront of Abby
"Kendall stand up here next to the other eleven year old, this is your challenge long legs there."
"girls step back in line"
Kendall and Ava step back
"Jade come on out"
Jade steps forward
"she lives sleeps and eats dance right?"
Jade nods
"Kalani come on out here, Jade so you're a competition kid"
"yes" Jade says
"you grew up in the competition world nothings going to rattle your nerves." Abby says
"no." Jade says
"good to hear, alright step back in line" Abby says
Kalani and Jade step back
"Addison, come on out."
a blonde girl steps forward
"a true competitor who doesn't get rattled at any point."
"Eloise, step forward."
Eloise steps forward
"Addisons eleven so are you..you do the same styles."
Eloise and Addison go back into their lines
"Tea come out here"
Tea walks out
"come on out Mackenzie"
i look to Kenzie and she walks forward
"Teas nine so are you"
"i should've put pigtails in" Melissa says
"you should've done a lot of things Melissa" Abby says
"Tea do you think you're better than Mackenzie?" Abby asks
Tea looks to Kenzie and looks back
"um..yes" Tea answers
"sounds like a question" Abby says and sends them both back
"Sarah i've told you guys for a long time now i need somebody eight and under Mackenzie turned nine i don't have anybody i'm that division but sometimes it's nine and under so Mackenzie will be going head to head with Tea and Sarah"
i feel bad for Kenz because she doesn't need to have two people going up against her
"Melissa you can pour water all over the stage and she can jetè through it and beat your kid again" Christy says
"Anastasia, step forward" Abby says
a girl with strawberry blonde hair steps forward
"many titles and many first place awards right?"
"yes." Anastasia nods
"sounds a lot like Camila, Camila step forward." Abby says
i step forward and i give Anastasia a smile
"you both have titles and you both win..let's see who the true winner is." Abby says
we both step back in line
"Kamryn step forward"
Kamryn steps forward
"you've seen Kamryn at classes she's a joy to teach..Chloe step forward"

"welcome" Chloe smiles to Kamryn
"thank you." Kamryn says
"any titles Kamryn?" Abby asks
"i'm currently seven time national champion i'm five time champion for starpower i also have way too many regional titles and overalls to name" Kamryn says
"we have all the winners here" Abby says
"yeah looks like it you searched high and low" Jill says
Kamryn and Chloe walk back
"Maddie step forward" Abby says
Maddie steps forward
"turn around look at the girls"
she turns to look at us
"and look over there at those girls"
Maddie looks out the new team
"say goodbye to those girls"

"what?" Melissa says confused
"and say hello to those girls" Abby says
"come on up here"
Maddie walks up to Abby
"you're so good you're not competing against anyone.. Maddie.. turn around" Abby says
"are going to join you guys i want them to show you guys how it's done girls go ahead and go over there for a minute."
Maddie stands with the new team
wow i actually feel really bad for Maddie..
"you guys have to go out and do that group routine without Maddie."
"we are travelling to a hop skip and a jump away to Ohio we will be competing at Energy dance
everybody right there is in the group routine you are doing a routine all about the royals in the world that's going to play tribute to a new young artist name lord her grammy winning song Royals"
i gasp and we all cheer
"my new select ensemble will be performing a contemporary routine entitled The Good Life you're at The Abby Lee Dance Company life's good now"
"now Kalani Kendall you're doing a duet the name of your duet is Rule The World and you two better channel all that energy from Beyoncé when you step out."
Kendall starts to clap
"i have a duet over here on the select ensemble..Sarah Ava you will be going up against Kalani and Kendall."

"and now it's time for the ever important solo..Chloe you will be performing a lyrical solo entitled Lucky Star..somebody's going against Chloe she has a lot of fans out there Kamryn come on out here we're going to see if you have what it takes your solo is contemporary and the name is Fate, Chloe you have one more chance to prove that you are the very best Chloe that you can be"
"girls you have no idea what it takes to compete every single weekend i'm tough and i don't need a second streak this is the moment of reckoning i want a clean sweep understood?"
we get dismissed and the junior elites have their rehearsals first

our group is hip hop, i've already accepted defeat
"hard hit it!" Abby calls out
"alright girls, it's time to go my time with you is split in half so make the most of it." Abby says
we leave the room
"who thinks we've already lost?" Kalani asks
"me." we all say
"wonderful." Kalani sighs

we have combat boots!... yay
we run the group routine and honestly i know we aren't winning
"alright girls this is it you're going up against not somebody from another studio but my other team from this studio." Abby says
"we gave two completely different numbers if the judges want funk and hip hop it's going to be you guys if they want pretty little lyrical it's going to be them we don't know"

we arrive at the competition and we head into the dressing room
"this is it do or die today, girls you're the originals you wanna keep your standing and you want to be the A team you have to take the win.. Maddie please join the other team because i want to talk to you guys i wanna address you." Abby says
Maddie walka over to the select team
"you were selected form Atlanta, Orlando, and New York City to come and be apart of a new team at the Abby Lee Dance Company"
"you're either amazing and brilliant and wonderful and i talk about a permanent position with all of you or you might just fly away home understood?"
"yes" the select team says
"in you go" Abby sends the select team into their dressing room and Maddie stays with us
"Kira did you tell your friend from Arizona if they need anything you'll be glad to help her out" Abby asks
"she can drown in hell" Kira says
the duets are up first so we head backstage
Ava and Sarah R enter the stage for their duet
and they are good dancers
Kendall and Kalani enter next and i hope they pull this off
and i think they are doing really well
they finish the duet and exit the stage
we head back to the dressing room as Chloe can get ready for her solo and her costume is so pretty
we head backstage for the solos
Kamryn enters for hers and she is a beautiful dancer
i just hope Chloe wins..
Chloe enters for her solo
and she was amazing
we head back to the dressing room
we start getting ready for the group routine and the group costume isn't what i was expecting
"Melissa we were going to pray over the group and we were wondering you you were going to come in and join us" Christy says
"that's okay thank you" Melissa says
"you sure?" Christy says
"yep" Melissa says
"well we're going to pray over it anyway even though you don't want us to do very well." Christy says
"Melissa." Abby says
"yes?" Melissa says
"you're not allowed in there i've said so" Abby says
"why? why are you protecting her? why?" Christy says
"to run their dance because they're first and" Abby says
"she loves me" Melissa says
"taking up their time" Abby finishes
"no sure" Christy says
"now i'm wrong?" Abby says
"i never said you were wrong." Christy says
"your kid is not gonna dance" Abby says
"right Abby right just keep lying." Christy says
"infact i think.. did you just call me a liar?" Abby asks
"uh huh if the shoe fits wear it." Christy says
my mouth gapes open slightly
"look alright my kid is here to prove herself" Christy says
Abby goes over to the Select teams dressing room
"Sarah your mother is pulling you out of the routine let's go" Abby says and brings Sarah H out
"she's done she's finished.. don't cry don't cry your mother did this not me" Abby says
Abby has the select team reblock without Sarah
we head backstage for the group routines
the select team enters for their group
and they were stunning
like it's meant to be
"we can do this." Nia whispers
"let's hope." Kalani whispers
"alright welcome to the stage entry number 253 The Royals" the announcer says
we all enter the stage and we do the number
dancing in combat boots are not the easiest thing
but i think we looked good and hope we place good.

the duet division is up first
Kalani and Kendall came in third
Sarah R and Ava came in second
"moving into our energy junior small group we have a top three" the announcer says
"in third place we have entry number 50 bom bom"
"in second place we have entry number 253 The Royals"
i sigh and Kenzie gets the award
"and in first place we have entry number 252 The Good Life"
Maddie goes up to get their award
for the solos
Kamryn got third
and Chloe got first!
we go to the dressing room and mom gives Chloe a huge hug
"hello" Abby says as she comes into the dressing room
"kay so line up for me spread apart" Abby says
we all line up
"okay congratulations you guys won the group outstanding..these guys you did a great job, you won the solo it was a great day." Abby says
"we have to go.. i have to get to Miami to my moms funeral service i will be in touch."

obviously this was like two days ago but the announcement for the Dance Moms reunion?!
absolutely screaming right now..i don't know if it's a sign to do a Cami sequel or to figure my life out with the McKayla Ziegler sequel to include the reunion
