I smile down at my phone I've always liked peej even when I first met him it was the summer before 9th grade and he was going into 10th grade
Him and baylen had been friends for a while but I would just stay in my room whenever he came over but i got over my shit and started hanging out with baylen and his friends
Ever since I've gotten closer with them me and peej have grown a lot closer I've been wanting to tell him how i feel but i don't think he sees me that way
sometimes i feel like to all of baylen's friends I'm just his stupid little sister who follows them around its not like they say anything like that its just me in my head
i get up from my bed and go to my closet and grab a white never grow up sweatshirt and put on some black Lululemon shorts
i went to my vanity and put on some mascara and Aquaphor i looked at my phone and saw that peej texted me 2 minutes ago telling me he was here
i walked downstairs say bye to my parents and lilah and walked out to see peej sitting in the driveway in the pearl
I walk over to the car and got in the passenger seat
"You will not believe what baylen did" peej said as soon as i got in
I laughed a little and put on my seatbelt "oh god what did he do now"
peej chuckled and put the car in reverse and put his hand on the head rest behind my head " i cant say you'll just have to see"
"Is it good or bad" i asked looking over at him now driving on the way to baylens house "its good"
i looked back at him suspicious "you promise?" I asked he looked away from the road and looked me in the eyes and put his hand up with his pinky
"I pinky promise" he looked back at the road quickly then looked back at me then smiled i smiled back at him and connected our pinkys
for the rest of the ride it was quite with music playing in the back it wasn't awkward silence it's just comfortable silence
once we got to baylens house i saw that Noah's truck wasn't in the driveway and doubles wasn't either peej got out quickly but I couldn't find my phone so i looked in the floor board and it was there i was about to open my door
But peej quickly opened the door for me and threw his arm out "M'lady" I chuckled and got out "thank you peej" he closed the door and looked down at me "of course I'd do anything-"
an egg smashed right into the back of his head which made him stop talking we both look up to the direction from where the egg was thrown
and baylen stood up and started cheering like we just won a championship medal or something
"baylen what the fuck" i said shouting so he could hear me and all i was was him bend down and reach for something
"Oh shit peej" I grabbed his hand started running away from the house i heard eggs breaking on the ground so i knew he had more and was trying to get me i heard baylen shout something and then the balcony door slam shut
me and peej stoped running to catch our breath i looked at out hands and peej did at the same time and I didn't want him to think i was weird or anything so i let go if his hand
he looked down at my hand and looked almost disappointed but i just decided to ignore it
"Ok maybe he just gave up" peej said starting to walk back to the house with egg still on the back of his head
"I'll get hime back don't worry" i said walking next to him he looked over at me and gave me a small smile
we walked into the house peej closed the door behind me "baylen I swear if you have more eggs i will literally break your jaw" i yelled out for him to got the hint that if he tries to egg me i will make him pay
he comes out from the hallway with his hands in the air " i surrender"
"Yeah you sure as hell do bc i will get violent if you egg me" i said to baylen and turned around to see that peej wasn't there anymore
"Peej where did you go" i called out
"Im in the bathroom" i walked passed baylen and saw the door open and i saw peej about to unbraid his hair
"Hold on i got it" i walked in the bathroom and peej moved his hands away from his hair and I started to undo his two french braids
"Oh my gosh your hair is all sticky from the egg" I laughed once i got finished unbraiding his hair
he groaned "will you help me get it out?" He turned to me looking to me face to face
"Of course" i smiled and got the shampoo from the shower
I turned back around and peej was taking off his shirt i blushed at the sight and tried to ignore it and turned in the sink
"Ok um just stick your head under the faucet so it gets wet and ill wash it"
it took a while to wash his hair but we made it work and now I'm braiding his hair again
"So was baylen egging you supposed to be the surprise or what" i asked almost done with his hair
He laughed a little "no the actual surprise is in the backyard"
"Okay I'm done" i smiled and he turned around looking down at me
"Thank you"
"Oh its no big deal its baylen's fault anyways so might as well help you out"
Peej leaned a little closer and i saw his eyes look down and look back up at my eyes
this is literally all i have ever wanted and its about to happen
he moves his hand to my cheek and i can feel my face getting red
"Hey y/n where are you?" I heard baylen yell from the living room
peej and i pull away face and his hand goes to the back of his neck
"Im coming" i yell out and whisper to peej that I'm sorry and walk out
"What were you doing" baylen asked as i walked into the living room
"I was just helping peej with his hair"
"Yeah ok anyways go look at the backyard"
I looked at baylen worried that this was another prank
"Its not a prank just look at the backyard y/n"
i walked outside to the backyard and there was a projector and a big pallet of air mattress, blankets and pillows
"Oh my gosh was this your surprise" i turned to baylen who was beside me
"Uh no actually i was planning on just binge watching karate kid and cobra kia in the living room but pj was the one who said we should watch it outside"
i turned around at the sound of the door opening and closing to see pj walking out towards us
"You didn't tell me this was your idea"
Pj just looked at me walking down the small set of stairs "i told you i wanted it to be a surprise"
I smiled at him and baylen spoke up before i could say anything else "I'm gonna go get everyone can you guys hook up my laptop to the projector"
I nodded at baylen and he walked away as me and pj walked over to all the air mattress were baylen's laptop was we both sat down and placed the laptop and my lap and opened it up
i heard pj sigh i looked at him "are you okay"
he looked up at me with a very small smile that i could see straight through "yeah I'm good"
"Pj i know your lying" he was still looking at me and opened his mouth like he was about to say something but the sound of the door opening and closing made him look away from me to see baylen, kyle, and noah walking out as
he sighed and got up walked past them and went inside
watched him walk in with a confused look on my face wondering what happened after we got home
There is no way he was still mad about his because i had already washed it and braided it
"Did you set things up" baylen asked getting closer
"Uh no give me a sec" i quickly put in his password and went to Netflix and clicked on the first karate kid movie i got up and walked over to the projector and connected the laptop to it
"Im gonna go help pj with the snacks you guys can go ahead and start it if you want" i said quickly and walked inside
i walked into the kitchen hopefully pj was in there buy he wasn't so i walked upstairs to his room and saw the door was closed so i knocked
"Come in" i head pj from the other side of the door
I slowly opened the door walking in and closing it behind me i see pj sitting in his gaming chair
"hey" i said awkwardly walking towards him leaning against the desk in front of him he looked up at me "hey"
"so um what were you gonna say before baylen all them walked out"
he sighed once again looking away from me
"Hey look at me" i gently grabbed his face and made him look at me "what ever you were going to say you can still tell me whatever it is" i said looking pj in the eyes with my hand still on his jaw
he sat there for a second and looks down and back to my eyes "i cant" he said quietly but i could hear the sadness in his voice
I moved my other free hand to his jaw i now had both of my hands on his jaw "pj i promise you can tell me anything. Please" i said as gently as i could
as soon as those words left my mouth pj smashed his lips into mine as first i was shocked but when it hit me that he was actually kissing me and this wasn't some dream i kissed back leaning more into the kiss
his hands moved to my waist as he slowly stood up from his chair and moved us to his bed he laid me down and he slowly pulled away
i leaned back up with him standing in between my legs i looked up at him, his lips we pink and glossy he put his hand on my cheeks
"I really really like you y/n"
i smiled up at him "i like you too" i said with a small smile and blush on my cheeks from what just happened
"Im sorry for not telling you sooner but baylen had always said you were off limits and if i'm gonna be honest i was scared because your so fucking pretty and i thought you would never be into me"
"I don't give a shit what baylen says i have liked you since the first day i met you" i smiled up at him and stood up and connected our lips once again after a few seconds i heard my phone ring from my sweatshirt pocket i reluctantly pulled away and pulled out my phone to see baylen calling me
I picked up my phone and brought it up to my ear
"What is taking y'all so long" baylen asked he sounded slightly annoyed
"I had to use the bathroom and were cooking a bunch of popcorn we will be done soon"
"Just hurry up"
"Ok bye"
i quickly ended the call and looked at pj
"So um what is this" i asked
"Oh we're having the talk now" pj asked with a surprised look on his face
"I mean yeah better now then never" i said putting my hands around his neck as his hands slid from my waist to my lower back
"Well i don't want anyone other than you" he said sweetly looking me in the eyes
"So can i be your girlfriend or what" i asked bluntly i don't want to wait any longer i have known him so long i dint want to wait anymore
"I wanted it to be all sweet and shit when i asked you" he said with a pout
I gave him a smile "ok well in that case i can wait but we better go downstairs and get the snacks ready before baylen catches us"
we walked downstairs got all the snacks ready and walked out towards the air mattress and passed out all the snacks
once we had passed out all the snacks we sat beside each other sharing a blanket which isn't rare because we have always been kinda touchy
We stayed like that until every one fell asleep during the 2nd season of cobra kia but me and pj it was now 2:30 in the morning
I leaned my head on his chest still watching the show on the projector
"I am really happy you kissed me" i whispered very quietly so no one would hear me
Pj looked down at me "me too" he said very quietly then softly kissed the top of my head and not long after that we both feel asleep
