Maya sat at chipotle by the window watching people walk by . Her life had been real depressing since she no longer talked to dougie
She knew it wasn't healthy to be sad all the time but her emotions just been everywhere.
Her sister tried to give her pep talks but nothing worked . She didn't even know why she was still sad
She knew that it could probably be because dougie had already moved on she knew since they still followed each other on instagram
She finished her food by taking it to the trash . That had been the only thing that wouldn't make her feel light headed
She made her way home opening the front door smelling sweetness. She closed the door behind herself going to the kitchen seeing naya standing over strawberry cinnamon rolls
"Ou can I have some" maya slowly walked to the pan "yeah you okay?" Maya shrugged
She broke off a piece eating it. She went to her room finishing the small piece and then wrapping up her silk press she gotten earlier
It made her feel good for an hour. The hairdresser was telling her hair was really healthy and shiny. Then she got to thinking making herself sad all over again
Maya closed her room door letting the black shades down. She started her shower in the connecting bathroom
She undressed getting in . She bathe standing in the shower overthinking
Once Maya was done she got out. She found one of dougie shirts and shorts
Maya got in the bed laying down.Maya knew she couldn't keep living the way she has.
Dougie on the other hand didn't think about maya anymore. He had a lot going on
From Layla having her baby and his mom taking it from her. "I swear she looks exactly like layla I don't see you at all" his mom stood over the bassinet watching the baby girl sleep
Since the baby has been with her for three weeks now Dougie hasn't really held her or looked at her. He watched his mom do everything
He didn't want to pick the baby up while he was high out of his mind. As much as he knew her name was Ava .
He did know for the past two months his life has just been a blur. Either he was high or he was high.
"Are you feeling okay?" His mom asked him this morning she cooked pancakes he ate some and threw them up along with his precs
"Ma, is this cute ?" Dougie's little sister asked about her dress "yeah where are you going?"
"Downtown" she stood over the bassinet looking her her niece "how y'all got a darkskin baby" she laughed
"Shut up Aaliyah" dougie mom thought it was wrong for her other two kids to talk about the baby skin color
She wondered too but genes could work differently for everyone. Layla and dougie was both brown toned
Dougie stared off into space listening to them "hold her for once while I make her a bottle" she tapped dougie
"Why can't Aaliyah do it?" He was high and didn't want to drop her. "It's not her baby" she handed dougie the baby
He stared at her as she was awake looking back at him. "Swear she run through so much milk" his mom spoke making the bottle though she wasn't complaining
She was just surprised at how much she could eat . "Here feed her" dougie took the bottle giving it to the baby
"I'm doing it right?" He asked his mom scared it was gone give her too much "yea where Layla she was supposed to been here" she looked at her phone
Dougie didn't really have feelings towards Ava; he didn't know why. He didn't care if he saw her or not . He just felt like he just had to think about her too for now on
He didn't even know where layla went. He hadn't seen her since she had the baby. He didn't stay at the hospital for long he already didn't want to be there
His mom forced him to be there. A loud knock came to the door catching dougie mom attention "this probably her" she huffed
Layla had been blowing up her phone asking for her baby back. She let Layla in feeling the attitude.
She looked down seeing bruises on her arms and the side of her face. She wasn't even going to ask
Layla sat next to Dougie looking over at the baby that was now sleeping again. Layla hadn't seen her since she was two weeks old now she was six
Ava looked total different from when she was two weeks old. Layla noticed she got darker, longer and looked exactly like her
She glanced at dougie who was looking at Ava. Dougie took the bottle that was finish out of Ava's mouth
Giving her to Layla he noticed she had bruises everywhere. He minded his business because he didn't want to deal with her after what she did.
Layla knew he was looking at her buries she got from sha cause he wanted to know what happened to the baby and she made up a quick lie saying she gave her up for adoption.
She felt like she was stuck between a rock and a hard place. She put ava side ways in her arms looking at her
She felt bad for what she put her through.
"Yeah she in her room I don't know what's wrong ma she won't even talk to me or her friends" naya cried talking to her mom over the phone
She needed her sister to shake back because it was starting to make her emotional and she wasn't at all.
"Yeah I called her the other day she didn't pick up I had seven call as well" Naya didn't know what was wrong maya slept all day unless she was working or eating
"I'm about to come ova there and see what's up we not doing all this depressed as shit" naya wiped her face
"Okay" both twins knew their mom didn't like the depressive episodes . Because she went through a long one after her kids dad passed and it took her a while to get out of it
Naya crept down to maya's room seeing her in the dark on her phone. "You're awake" She was surprised lately she would be sleep
Maya continued scrolling tiktok ignoring naya. Maya wasn't feeling good plus she was hungry but didn't want to get up
"You been acting like a real bitch" maya called her a hard bitch making maya look at her and turn the light on
"Get out my face then bitch your bothering me" maya gave her the same attitude sitting up
"Cause I wanna know what's wrong" naya turned the light on seeing it extremely clean
"Turn the light off" maya mugged her, getting annoyed by the second. "Nope" naya got on her bed
Maya kicked her trying to make her roll off "hoe don't kick me bitch" she hit her sheen
"Get out then your getting on my damn nerves" maya continued watching tiktok feeling her sister stare
Naya had a feeling it had to do something with dougie because she hasn't seen him around in a while.
"You gotten fat maya what the fuck" naya laughed cause she knew one thing maya didn't play about was her weight or her shape
Before maya could respond a knock came to their door . Naya went to get it knowing it was their mom.
"Mommy!" She opened the "where the fuck she at ?" She ignored naya. Naya made a yikes face "In her room down the hall"
The two went to maya room "lil girl what the fuck is wrong with you" kim went to get in the bed with maya
"Why are you here ?" Maya squinted her eyes "Because I'm your damn mother and yo sister been telling you wont talk to no one what's up?" She looked maya up and down tilting her head to the side waiting for a answer
"And I don't wanna hear that nothing shit" maya started crying she knew her mom was who she needed right now .She was good at giving advice
Kim pulled her into a hug rubbing her back. She knew whatever was bothering maya was serious cause it was bothering naya too and she wasn't emotional at all.
"I stopped talking to this boy because he had a hickey on his neck and I miss him but it's over" maya knew she was childish for crying or being depressed but you can't help who you have feelings for.
"Well fuck that little ass boy he should have been letting these fast ass girls suck on him wipe your damn face I don't want you sad over no damn man" naya shook her head seeing her sister like this made her wanna go find dougie and beat his ass .She could tell her sister feelings for him is deep.
Even Kim could tell it was more to it then what maya was saying ."Get yourself together and get out this house you done had enough sad days and I know I didn't raise no sad ass girl" kim hated seeing her kids down about anything
Naya joined in on the hug making maya cry even more her feelings were beyond hurt because of herself.
