Elizabeth Carson knows what a life of magic is like - her dad is The Librarian, after all, not that she's spoken to him in over five years, but she's not seen any death notice, so she's assuming he is still The Librarian.
Elizabeth has gone out of her way to ensure she is nothing like her father. She is a well-known, established archaeologist in her own right, moving on from her fantastical past and focusing on establishing a future that's fixed in the real and the solid.
