(Nightmare's POV)
All was quiet when I woke up which I was happy with since it meant more quiet time for me. Well at least I enjoyed the quiet for a moment before getting bored and hearing Blot lightly snoring, I look to the side to see Blot sleeping while clinging onto one of my tentacles causing me to smile slightly in amusement. Deciding to wake Blot up, I lift the tentacle he's clinging onto to which he doesn't really notice until I wrap my tentacle all around him and start shaking him like a rattle. Now that woke him up.
"Wha-Ahh! Stop shaking me!" Blot yelled only for me to shake him even more in my tentacle, an amused glint in my eye light as Blot tries to escape my grasp only to fail. "I'm gonna throw up on you if you don't stop!" Blot threatened to which I froze, giving Blot a moment of peace before I decided my choice. "I'll jυѕт нαve yoυ ғαce αwαy ғroм мe тнeɴ." I responded with a grin before shaking him again in my hold like a rattle while making sure he didn't face me if he actually decided to purposely throw up on me.
(Meanwhile-)
(??? POV)
I was swimming, chasing after a turtle that I named bubbles when I heard a familiar voice yelling. Heading towards the source, I was surprised to hear Blot especially over here near my home considering he doesn't like to socialize due to others being distant with him. I always felt bad for the other, I tried to keep him company but it was a little hard to do when he lived far from me and because of how I feared of how he would treat me if anyone saw me with him and mentioned to him about the rumors...
Getting closer then I realized to the familiar source, I narrowly avoid being ran over by Blot zipping pass me like he was swimming away from something. "Bloт, ɢeт вαcĸ нere!" An unfamiliar voice shouted, which caught my attention as something quickly zipped pass me before I could figure out who it was. Looking to where Blot was, I could see he was a good distance away but that didn't matter as a black blur of something rammed into him causing me to wince as Blot went down with whoever tackled him down.
Not knowing what was going on and worried about Blot, I decide to swim over.
(Nightmare's POV)
I had let go of Blot after he kept whining about how he was feeling sea sick which I didn't get considering we literally live in the sea and shouldn't be able to get sick easily due to being leviathans. After I had let him go, he decided to throw sand into my eye socket on purpose by swishing his tentacles in the sand in my direction while saying it was an accident! Before I could call Blot out on his lie though, he swam out.
Deciding to give chase, I yell after Blot with the determination to catch him and whack him in the skull as payback. "Bloт, ɢeт вαcĸ нere!" I yell as Blot just increases his swimming speed even more in the hopes of losing me. Seeing he wasn't gonna stop anytime soon, I decided to put an end to this chase. Using one of my tentacles, I grab a rock as I swam before putting in the tiniest bit of magic that I had and then fired it straight at Blot's skull which in turn caused him to stagger for a moment which was enough for me as I rammed straight into him with no mercy.
Tumbling onto the sea floor, I pin Blot down before he could try swimming away again before speaking. "Tнrow ѕαɴd ιɴ мy eye ѕocĸeт αɢαιɴ αɴd I'м ѕнovιɴɢ ѕeα ѕнellѕ dowɴ yoυr тнroαт." I growled out to which Blot frantically nodded while shuddering at the thought of being forced to eat sea shells. "Uh-not to interrupt or anything but may I ask who you are sweetheart?" Someone says causing me to snap my skull in their direction while Blot seemed to freeze at the voice of whoever spoke.
Turning my attention to the one who spoke, I can see they are a skeleton mer which had me curious as to what they were since they didn't seem to be like any mer I have seen so far. "Beғore тнαт- wнαт αre yoυ?" I ask with a look of intrigue. "What am I? Isn't it obvious?" The one in question asks in playful amusement before speaking again. "To answer your question, I'm what you call a rainbow goby- though I'm not actually covered with rainbow colors like Blot." They said as they glanced at Blot, giving them a small smile.
"...rαιɴвow or ɴoт yoυ looĸ preттy." I compliment honestly as I look over their tail with slight awe before noticing they had light pink freckles on their face that were a unique feature considering I never met a skeleton mer with freckles before. As I checked over their features one more time, I didn't notice Blot or the other's expression about what I just said.
(Blot's POV)
'Pretty?! He calls him pretty but not me? I knew it, this must definitely be favoritism!' I thought as I looked over at Kaipo, a somewhat friend of mine. I actually don't know what we are, I mean sure he visits sometimes but not long enough to where I would consider him a friend. Maybe a uh- 'what does nightmare call it again? Oh! An aqua thing- a um...an acquaintance! Yes that's what it's called!' grinning with pride at remembering that word, I quickly snapped out of it though at the sight of something menacing swimming behind kaipo, catching my attention.
"It's The Turtle!" I shrieked as I cling onto nightmare. "Kaipo! Hurry and get over here before the turtle gets you! They're dangerous!" I yell out as kaipo gives me a confused look.
(For those wondering- Kaipo is lust sans. Also here- drawing for all of ya who have been good readers. Also I know you can't tell but he has freckles, it's just Wattpad sucks at showing things clearly.)
(Kaipo's POV)
When I heard Blot's friend compliment me, I couldn't help but feel surprised but also touched at his words. It's not everyday I get a compliment from others that say it while having such an honest look. 'It seems Blot has an honest friend, that's good...I hope he can be the friend for Blot that I could never be.' I thought as I smiled sadly at Blot while he wasn't looking before putting a smile back on as I caught Blot's Friend staring my way.
'He didn't see that did he?' I thought as I stared at him nervously before letting out a sigh of relief when he just turned his skull away. 'noticed or not, I'm glad he's at least pretending not to notice.' I thought before growing startled and confused when blot suddenly shouted at me while clinging onto his friend, staring at something behind me.
Not knowing what he was so scared about, I turned around to see...bubbles?
(Blot's POV)
Staring at me in confusion, Kaipo turns around to see the turtle I'm talking about. Realization crossing over kaipo's face, they laugh causing me to be confused on what they're laughing about. "That's not just any turtle Blot, that's bubbles!" Kaipo says as they introduce the turtle now called bubbles. "Bubbles?" I ask in confusion, watching as kaipo swims over to the turtle and pets it's head with no fear whatsoever. "Yup! I found them a week ago when they were searching for food and after I fed them some fruit I found floating on the surface, they just stayed near my side since then." Kaipo says as they smile fondly at the turtle.
"Reмιɴdѕ мe oғ ѕoмeoɴe I ĸɴow." Nightmare grumbles as they stare at me with a look I couldn't decipher. "Why are you looking at me like that for?" I ask in confusion. "No reαѕoɴ." Nightmare says and you could literally hear the amusement in their voice as they look away from me. 'Wait- turtle got fed by kaipo and turtle stayed by kaipo's side since then...nightmare fed me a lobster and I've stayed by his side since then- is nightmare saying that he's like kaipo in this situation and I would be-' "I'm not a turtle!" I screech out as realization kicks in, immediately I try to whack nightmare with my tentacles only to find that they were all tangled with nightmare's due to being tackled down by the other.
"Give me back my tentacles!" I yell as I try to untangle myself from nightmare, still upset that he would dare compare me to a turtle. Lowly chuckling, nightmare just watches as i struggle causing me to glare at him as kaipo also just watches. 'How could they both just watch me without helping?! How cruel...' I thought as I kept trying to untangle myself, a small frown on my face as I found it hard to escape this mess. "Leт мe нelp." Nightmare speaks and before I could refuse his help out of spite, he moved his tentacles and then with no warning, he pulled me up which caused me to collide into his chest which hurt considering we are bones.
Once I recovered from the collision, I go to say something before noticing that I feel less Tangled and lighter. Looking down at my tentacles, I'm delighted to see I'm free but am now confused. How did he untangle us so quickly? Giving nightmare a 'i want answers look' I just receive a grin instead causing me to pout at not receiving any answers. "So who are you?" Kaipo suddenly asks, causing me to snap my attention to him. "He's a nightmare that's what he is- ack! What? I was just telling the truth!" I said as nightmare whacked me in the skull.
"Leт мe ιɴтrodυce мyѕelғ, мy ɴαмe ιѕ ιɴdeed ɴιɢнтмαre вυт leт мe reαѕѕυre yoυ I αм ɴoт ѕoмe ѕcαry ɴιɢнтмαrιѕн мoɴѕтer- υɴleѕѕ I нαve тo вe oғ coυrѕe." Nightmare says with a smile that I could see made kaipo uneasy. "Stop it, your scaring kaipo!" I yell as I swim in front of kaipo to block him from nightmare's view, any thought about the turtle that was near kaipo, forgotten. "I wαѕ ѕιмply ɢιvιɴɢ нιм α wαrɴιɴɢ Bloт." Nightmare calmly says as they then proceed to swim in a random direction, catching me by surprise. "Where are you going?! Wait for me!" I yell out in panic as I swim after nightmare, leaving behind a confused kaipo.

Kaipo's name means sweetheart.
Kaipo has a necklace tied on his tail that he put there since it looks nice and because he liked the two hearts it had and didn't wanna misplace it so he tied it to his tail but not too tight where it would harm him.
Kaipo wants to accompany them but is hesitant since he didn't want to make them uncomfortable.
Nightmare may seem nice but that doesn't mean he will be.
Nightmare feels that something is wrong but doesn't know what.
Nightmare knows that looks and such can be deceiving and won't easily put his trust in others. Blot was just an exception since he's easy to read and see through unlike kaipo who had his emotions and such guarded.
Kaipo doesn't know Blot is a leviathan due to Blot only going in his bigger form when he was alone and when he needed to like for hunting bigger prey.
Blot is wondering why nightmare had to warn kaipo like that, he could've been a little less harsh...or maybe it's him that needs to be harsher? From what he has heard from other mers, leviathans are cruel, cunning, and dangerous creatures...he's not cruel, cunning, and dangerous is he? Nightmare probably is but him himself? Blot? He doesn't think himself as cruel and dangerous...he isn't like that- not anymore.
