At the bar Red Dirt the bouncer was tossing a totally wasted gonk out the front door causing everyone inside to start laughing
Sitting at one of the small tables was the crew minus kiwi and David, all doing shots with dozens of shot glasses piled up on the table
(Y/n), Rebecca and Falco all slammed another shot and put the shot glasses down on the table and (y/n) looked more zoned out then falco and Rebecca who were intoxicated
(Y/n) started getting a call from Faraday and with a reluctant sigh answered
(Y/n):What?
Faraday:the next stage of your assignment begins tomorrow morning. I trust your crew is up to the task.
(Y/n):course-course. Five of us got it covered.
Faraday:five? I informed you that the only way this Op would be conducted was if all Six of your specific crew were operating under my specific instructions.
Rebecca raised her fist in the air towards the bartender

As nearly an hour of taking shots went by and the shot glasses stacked on the table their short intermission of fun had to end sooner or later
It ended when falco fell out of his chair from the nausea

(Y/n):Tomorrow morning, be ready. meet at the usual spot.
He hung up
The next morning the crew was sitting in their car overlooking the wind farms outside the city
(Y/n):our big hits rolling in from the east side, their trucks gonna be ours before it gets to the city. If it ain't were bugs on windshield. Scores 2.5 mil and cuts are the same.
A small convoy came rolling over the distant hill at the far end of the fields as (y/n) popped up through the hatch of the car with a grenade belt across his chest
Two emperors driving in front of a truck pulling a trailer with two armored vehicles following behind

Rebecca scoffed

Faraday:and the girl shredded David's file. She hoped Arasaka's plans for him would simply disappear.
Kiwi:that's how I see it. Frying Tanaka tied up a loose end.
Faraday:hmm...so Maine and Dorio were mere collateral damage in her scheme.

One of faraday's goons attached Lucy to a small crane over the hot tub by the ankles and dunked her headfirst for a short moment but it didn't wake her up

Faraday let out a hearty laugh
Faraday:simply too perfect. She will be the cherry we drop on top. Our guarantee arasaka welcomes us with open arms. This girls a fast lane ticket up the corporate rungs.

Early the next morning the gang was all sitting around the crews crib and the drinkers of the previous night had worked off their hangovers

Later the same day the crew watched from a cliff side as the Animals gang pulled up behind the convoy with several cars and started to open fire with their bullets barely scratched the rear most armored truck
Rebecca:decoys?
Kiwi:diversion aimed to give us an opening. Though, I'm sure faraday didn't tell them that.
Rebecca:oh.
Falco:classic faraday shenanigans. Course, mighta ran is 'round the barn too, decoys for decoys.
The crew watched as the leading cars slowed down and became parallel with the animals vehicles and started gunning them down
One car directly behind an armored truck had the ramp of said armored truck slam down on its hood as two arasaka soldiers ran onto the ramp and shot both drivers causing their car to crash
The second soldier fired a round into the front tires of the closest car causing it to flip and explode taking out all but one car which drove off-road in an attempt to escape as one of the emperors and armored trucks broke off to pursue
Further down the road a large amount of Animal gang members had set up a row of turrets and began firing at the remaining convoy as they swerved off road to avoid gunfire
Falco:alright, got em good and split up. What do we do?
Kiwi:targets gone off road and we've got the high ground.
(Y/n):falco, drive it like you stole it.
Falco:yeehaw!
He put the car in gear as they took off after the convoy and Rebecca started speaking in a southern accent
Rebecca:giddyup partner!
Earlier that morning following the meeting Rebecca was looking around the building
Rebecca:hey! Chrome boys! Snacks are packed and guns are loaded! Where you at?!
She looked into a room and saw David and (y/n) close together, David had his shirt off with his last supply of immunoblockers on a belt around his chest

His vision started getting blurry as he looked the larger edgerunner in the eyes as he got a bloody nose again

He looked down at the much shorter edgerunner

Back to the present Rebecca was watching David be completely zoned out in the back of the vehicle
Falco drove over the side of the cliff towards what remained of the convoy as Rebecca let out an audible sigh as (y/n) looked down at her
(Y/n):Not a god damn word.
The car hit the bottom of the cliff as Rebecca jumped up through the hatch of the vehicle and started shooting at the armored truck behind the targeted semi
Falco rammed the emperor into the truck causing it to flip as the back door opened and both David and (y/n) began firing at it hitting the fuel tank in the process making it explode
(Y/n):middle siblings toasted.
Falco:alright I'll start tailgating the sum' bitch!
Kiwi:hacking its braking system.
The arasaka emperor in front of them began slowing down till it was behind the crew vehicle and started tailgating them as the began firing
(Y/n):well there's the little brother!
Everyone in the crew was forced to retreat back into the vehicles cabin due to the excessive gun fire
Rebecca:it's too much! Can't get a shot off on these guys!
David:just leave it to me!
He pulled out both of his pistols
(Y/n):told you to stay in the fucki-!
David's sandevistan activated as time slowed down and he jumped out of the crews car onto the arasaka emperor and put both guns to the firing arasaka members heads
His sandevistan deactivated as he pulled the trigger killing them both
David used his sandevistan again to kill thr driver and hijacker the car
David:escort can outta comish'!
Rebecca looked out the back window and saw David in the bloody drivers seat
Rebecca:guess he's fucking deaf now!
(Y/n):forget arasaka krillin' him, I'm gonna kill him.
Falco chuckled awkwardly as David pulled up alongside them

Rebecca jumped up onto the roof with a large explosive

She tossed the charge onto the back of the trailer as David rammed it and activated his sandevistan as the far exploded
Falco checked the back seat and saw David was now behind him and had fallen on both Rebecca and (y/n)
Rebecca:turn around 'stache! Eyes on the damn road!
Both edgerunners under David punched him in the back of the head
Kiwi:hey guys.
Everyone looked ahead at the trailer and saw they'd barely scuffed the paint

Meanwhile at arasaka tower, both Kate and Douglas were watching the height via drone while on the phone with faraday
Faraday:perfect ambush, perfect. It's going perfectly. Exactly-exactly as anticipated-how I saw it.
Kate:very-very good work faraday.
Douglas:all projections green, on track.
Faraday:taps open, leaks out. Militech knows. Knows about the convoy. Your getting your field test. Of course assuming he...the boy, can wield the Cyberskeleton.
Kate:he'd better. If he can't stomach it, gets cold feet. Our recovery crew will face a Militech battalion. A stalemate, bloody-bloody. That's our aim.

Meanwhile in the crews vehicle kiwi could see on a map they were approaching a canyon
Kiwi:not good, better stop it quick, got a canyon up ahead.

On top of the trailer David was bleeding profusely from his nose while on his hands and knees
David:yea-yeah...I hear ya'.

David leaned back while getting on his knees as blood started running from his mouth and he started talking to himself

They all went over a hill and could now see the canyon
David:your right on the edge...

He punched and broke the harpoon button as the barrel extended from under the car and fired

He started standing up

He jumped off the truck and grabbed the harpoin and then ran behind a massive Boulder as he slammed the harpoon into the rock while planting his feet against it with great effort
The sandevistan deactivated
David:BREAK!!!

Falco slammed the brakes as the line went taut and the truck slammed into the harpoon line causing it to flip forward along with the crews emperor
The momentum kept the truck going however and it went nose first over the edge but the rear end was stuck up in the air
The car settled upright on its roof
Rebecca:HAHA! NOVA!
Falco:argh...well that was fun...
Kiwi:but my tongue off.

Meanwhile David was chucking against the Boulder proudly looking at his cyberware
A rock hit David in the side of the head and he saw (y/n) walking towards him

Meanwhile at faraday's residence an executive Aerodyne was preparing to pick up faraday and Lucy, they were all still around his hot tub with Lucy's unconscious body being held up by two of faradays goons

Back at the canyon David was trying to call Lucy
Over by the trailer the rest of the gang was trying to get inside

The two vehicles suddenly exploded violently and were sent flying over the crews heads and into the canyon where they exploded again

They all looked towards the city and saw a small army of armored vehicles including a basilisk and a missile carrier

The missile carriers and Basilisks began firing and began obliterating the surface in front of them and nearly sent the gang flying into the canyon as well

Militech soldiers started jumping out of the vehicles and began shooting at the crew

The door to the arasaka truck swung open

Meanwhile back in the city faraday was getting his luxury ride to arasaka with Lucy in tow

David tossed off his jacket as a large gust of wind sucked it up out of the trailer and he held out the immunoblockers
As (y/n) reached out to take them David activated his sandevistan and sucker punched the edgerunner in the mouth and sending him flying across the trailer with a broken jaw

David:if Lucy's in trouble I gotta be the one to help her!
Kiwi climbed up to the top of the trailer, the gun fire had stopped

He started using the tablet kiwi gave him
David:last time I went and installed something that wasn't mine, Maine kicked the shit outta me. Didn't learn my lesson.
Machinery grabbed David and removed his arms and lower body as it put him in the center of the rig

She dropped down from the walls next to David and she started screaming in frustration

Meanwhile up by the crews vehicle falco leaked out from behind it to see Militech was just waiting where they'd stopped

She began running away as she called faraday who answered quickly

At the same time while riding in their luxury vehicle lucy regained consciousness and hacked her way out of the cuffs she was in and used her monowire to decapitate both of faradays goons

She kicked faraday in the side of the head sending him across the room as she called David and forced the connection

Falco crawled over the side of the canyon and fell into the trailer landing on (y/n) shoulder

Kiwi drove past the Militech battalion on a motorcycle as the entire battalion began moving again towards the truck
The basilisks and missile carriers started firing again as the ground started shaking violently

(Y/n) put falco down as large clouds of dust started falling into the trailer
Rebecca saw the tablet which outlined the enemy vehicles and the impact locations of their weapons which was all around them

As Militech closed in on the trailer the clouds of smoke and dust began to clear as they saw David in his new chrome
Falco:how'd kiwi say you move around in that thing
(Y/n):the bitch said it's got two compacted thrusters built in like an AV. It's so heavy it needs an artificial anti-gravity mods to move.
The thrusters on the back of the cyberskeleton began glowing as David suddenly vanished and appeared behind enemy lines as the Militech soldiers all turned to shoot him
(Y/n):with unidirectional grav fields and force fields from the anti-grav systems.
The soldiers started shooting as David raised his new arms and the bullets began stopping mid air
Falco:that there the mag field generator?
Suddenly all their guns flew into David's massive hands
(Y/n):holy shit...
The guns all began firing mowing them down and turning them to mince meat
Falco:holy hell! That's a whole squad he just gunned down!
David vanished again and Rebecca saw him farting around the battlefield on the tablet
Rebecca:oh jeez...he's using the sandy too!
The lighter Militech vehicles were getting launched into the air at other Militech armored cars causing a large explosion
David paused as the suit was starting to take its tole and a Militech truck rammed into him and slammed David into another Militech truck
David floated up into the air undamaged with his thrusters
Rebecca:he's flying!
Rebecca saw a large yellow ring appear on the tablet
(Y/n):what's that?
Falco:is that thing the grab field?
The cyberskeleton began projecting a large red ring onto the ground on top of both trucks
Suddenly a massive pit appeared in the ground where the red ring was turning the drivers into bloody goop but the trucks were fine
(Y/n):mother of god...
Several alarms started going off as David reached 194% on his psychosis meter
The suit injected David with 2 immunosuppressants returning it to 0% as blood began gushing from his nose
Falco:see why you need a high tolerance just to move in that now. Sure fire way to go cyberpsycho that's for sure.
Alarms started going off for missile lock on as the missile carriers fired at David
The basilisks and missile carriers began unloading on where David was as the first rockets Exploded on his position
The sizable explosion flipped the crews car as the ammunition used on David scorched the entire area
Falco:did they get our boy?
(Y/n):Bec' where is he?!
Suddenly David's signal appeared over the Militech infantry
Above ground David was hovering over the Militech tanks looking possessed
A massive grav field destroyed 3 of basilisks as he zoomed over towards one of the missile carriers and used the grav field again to destroy it
The suit forced another injection as David repeated the same attack on the final missile carrier
(Y/n):he's still going?
Rebecca:h-his body is but...
Kiwi:the longer one uses it...the higher the risk of bodily cyberware capacity overload. That being said...the power it generates in the short term...is unlike anything devised in this side of sanity.
David destroyed the remaining Militech forced as the crew heard a loud knock from up top
As they climbed up they saw David standing in front of the truck with his eyes glitching out
(Y/n):you still with us samurai?
The suit injected David again as he vomited up a large amount of blood
David started smirking as he returned to normal
David:faradays gonna regret playing us like gonks and we're getting Lucy outta there.
(Y/n):I told you to let me use that you brat. Your really bad at listening
David:sorry, guess I picked it up from someone I know.
(Y/n) jumped up out of the truck
(Y/n):alright wake up everyone, we got a city to burn.
Rebecca smirked
Rebecca:sigh me up choomba, into the fire.
